I normally don't watch comedy movies at all, but this is one of the few that made the cut. Why? Well, I initially watched a portion of it back in high school for an English class assignment about social cliques. This got me intrigued enough to actually purchase and watch the rest of it. I can tell you that I wasn't disappointed with my purchase due to the relevant premise and incredible adept cast. It's a must watch!

It is more inopropriate than comedy

Plenty of silly jokes and situations, but falls short on the sincere moments. Lindsay Lohan is stunning and does a good job holding the plot together. Tina Fay steals every scene she is in.

I love it when a movie doesn't try to ram its producer's or director's socio-political opinions down our throats. "Mean Girls" is one of those rare gems. It pokes fun at how silly cliques are and how stupid all of us were at that age. Don't let all the pink on the cover fool you: This is NOT a typical chick flick. This movie will make you laugh. No overly sappy parts that kill the buzz. It does preach just a bit about how we should not be so shallow and mean to each other, but then makes fun of itself for doing so--but without taking away from the sincerety of the message. An extremely well-written, well-performed movie. Just the right length: I can honestly say there were no slow points in this movie; every scene was relevant. You will have fun watching this movie. The characters are all so cool. We all went to school with people like them, and we all were in at least one of those cliques back then, too.

Mean Girls may be one of the best movies ever. Great characters, hilarious script, awesome directing, Mean Girls continues to be my all time favorite movie. I am pretty sure I can quote the whole movie in its entirety, it is that fetch.

Wow if your a girl you need this movie!!! I am not a fan of lindsey Lohan at all, but this movie is really good. The plastics are the coolest lol, and if you dont know who they are you should buy this movie. Although the movie is great, I think the movie could have done without some scenes, but it is still a funnnnnny movie. It shot Lindsay Lohan into the stratosphere with her well deserved praise for carrying the film, but it was the entire cast, excellent writing. and on point direction that made this movie a classic and a great addition to your Library. Even my friends who aren't keen on teen girl movies enjoyed it, my father even loved it!

I am a ((STRAIGHT)) male, and I first saw this on the way home from a school trip. I thought "Aw, man this is gonna be SO lame!", and I put my iPod on. My other friend (a guy) started laughing, so I was like "What the heck, I'll just watch it", and I did and I LOVED it! I got my other friend hooked on it too, at first he was not up to it, but now he's basically the biggest fan of this movie!

It is HYSTERICAL, and it really does a good job at depicting what high school life really is like (well, for some). I'm not sure what else to say about the movie. It's just really good, and if you're in high school, it'll give you a ton of laughs!

funny, smart, great cast: these are three charactaristics that add to this awesome film's 'awesomeness...' you really cant watch this movie without laughing your head off the whole way through. at points it makes you realize wow, high school was just like that, especially the cliques of people in the lunch room. whoever was on the writing team made this aspect right on target.

all in all- this is a great movie, while much of it is very exxagerated, the majority of it is an awesome take-in.
