Description
In Disney and Pixar’s Onward, two teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad and embark on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley’s epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles, and unimaginable discoveries. But when the boys’ fearless mom Laurel (voice of Julia Louis-Dreyfus) realizes that her sons are missing, she teams up with a part-lion, part-bat, part-scorpion, former warrior – aka The Manticore (voice of Octavia Spencer) – and heads off to find them. I applaud Pixar/Disney for the early release of Onward for purchase. I purchased the movie immediately. 🤓

I would warn everyone off this film. It's far below the standard Pixar set in the past. The main story device is painfully contrived; the gags are generally unfunny; and every moment is flooded with loud orchestral music as the filmmakers desperately try to make scenes mean something. I can't believe I spent $20. Boo!

Awesome movie about sibling love. Heart warming. Heart breaking. I loved it and so did all my children. Worth the purchase price because I suspect they will want to watch it at least twice.

Yes, this story is about brothers, but I feel that if you have a sibling, this movie will mean a lot to you regardless. It’s a fun and heartfelt adventure that the characters go on together. Lovely film with lots of laughs and tears at the end.

My children were excited to go see this movie but I don’t think they realize they’d have something in common with these two brothers! Their father passed and like these two they’ve grown up while growing apart. It drove home the importance of family and fun! Loved it!

For those wanting to rent it stop looking for that option. The movie was only released two weeks ago and on it’s 1st Saturday out I was one of 6 people in the theater due to the covid scare. The covid is doing a number on movies and more. I was very surprised to see it on VOD already, released a full 6-10 months early. Can’t wait to see it again.
I enjoyed the movie lots. It’s not as funny as past Pixar movies but this movie targets more of the older teen to mature adult with deeper meanings and story. With that said little kids will love this movie. Plenty of fun and excitement for the kiddies to enjoy.

Onward is beautiful and entertaining the animation was wonderful and hippish. The film reminds of me of Bill and Ted but it's none of that it's fun and funny at the same time.

The movie was good, but disappointed I paid the full $20 and standard Blu-ray would cost, but with none of the special features.
Hopefully, since this was a special early release that all who bought this movie get the iTunes extras when it comes out on the normal release schedule.

I got this movie be surprised. Started watching at 2:00AM and was rapped to the story from the start. It was the perfect way to break me from the isolation and malaise that accompanies the quarantine. It really lifted my spirits.

Based on the previews I had seen in the theaters, I thought this movie looked pretty lame. But since it was newly released and there is absolutely nothing to do, I decided to purchase it. To my surprise, it’s actually a very good movie! Good story line with some pretty funny scenes and amazing graphics and audio.

A wonderful, original film that may not ~look~ like PIXAR but the story screams PIXAR. Do not believe in the reviews for the movie, see it for yourself. I was not excited myself to see it, but I was luckily able to see it three time before it left the theaters. Wonderful characters, story and animation. Truly one of PIXAR’s greatest.

This is my favorite Pixar film.. this one hit home. Me being a big nerdy, dungeons and dragons loving guy.. and I also lost my dad when I was little.. This movie was made for my life and Tom Holland and Chris Pratt were prime in this film! It got booted from theater early cause the Corona Virus, so I hope people support this film. Must buy!

Come in Disney, do you really want millions of people to see your film for the very first time in 1080p?! You should want the best experience for your consumers to leave the strongest emotional impression possible, not hold back the best looking version in order to maximize profits.

This movie is so wonderful and just an overal fun story while tackling real issues. How far will we go to hold on to those we’ve lost, and how we need to remember not to forget those who stay with us when we are alone
