Knives out is an amazing movie that I would think all murder mystery lovers would obsess over! It is a well done movie with a great cast! Also let’s mention how perfectly the transitions throughout the movie was impeccable! Beautiful work! ❤️

Not worth full price, story was weak in comparison to the original.

Interesting enough plot but they introduce the “politics” in the first fifteen minutes. Sorry I wasted money on it.

A good laugh out loud flick with some interesting twists. There’ll be a few people who’ll complain about a particular political/policy issue, but I think they missed just how “privileged “ some people just believe they have or are. Craig’s southern accent inside of his UK accent is rather unique, and how his character steps in and the interactions afterwards just build on up.

Fun and awesome. Agatha Christie always delivers. Characters are awesome and make this a very enjoyable movie. Some twists and surprises. Loved it. Kudos to everyone involved.

…But as the movie progressed, we got used to his “forced” southern accent and it actually ended up working for the movie strangely enough. Great movie!

A movie for your mind

I LOVE THIS FILM. This is my favorite Halloween film. Direct me not watching it if you are under 14 (even though I'm 13), but It is a true comical mystery movie! I love the part when they find out who the inheritance belongs too, the whole argument was hilarious.

I hope other people enjoyed it as much as I did.

Disgusting mix of in-your-face political dogma, bad writing and absurd plot. Over-the-top amateurish caricatures parading as characters in a failed attempt at cleverness. Hollywood, incapable of the craft of story-telling now, can only virtue signal with inane leftist propaganda.

I had to turn it off after 20 minutes if the actors mumbling thru their lines. No modern actor (Including Jamie Lee Curtis) knows how to enunciate their lines and speak clearly. The opioid crisis hits actors as well, I guess.

All around great plot and entertainment. Good comedy.

I watched this movie in the theatre going in with no expectations and the movie blew me away! The plot is amazing, there are so many twists, grade A actors doing Grade A acting, and amazing writing. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and laughing until your stomach hurts! 10/10 would recommend.

star-studded cast and fun mystery story. the writing is sharp and the editing keeps the story moving alone at a brisk pace. the costumes, plot twists, and comedy are very people-pleasing without being pandering. love this movie.

Totally worth it

I thought it was decent. Worth a watch, and it certainly held my attention for longer than most movies. Most of the actors were excellent, including the young woman as the main character. Cinematography and locations were great. Script was pretty good, and I enjoyed the score.

But when it ended, I felt like it was TLJ all over again- contrived ways to throw the viewer off the real plot, exaggerated elements that are too convenient just to make story pieces fit together in ridiculous ways, and my god that accent by Craig was hard to hear. Also if you caught the reference to Se7en (whether intentional or not), so did I, and I didn’t think highly of it lol.

I had expectations high expectations that weren’t met with the plot of the film.

First time I saw this film and I didn’t like it. Second time around, it was better than I remembered. The humor falls a little bit flat but in a way it’s still funny. Big reveal was underwhelming but surprising at the same time. Daniel Craig and Chris Evans were excellent. It’s a slow mover for a whodunnit. I’ve seen better from this genre of movies but if you’re a whodunnit fan, it can’t hurt to watch it. Didn’t really live up to what the critics and audience said. A 6/10.

Wow just wow. This movie is fun and constantly has you on your feet and wondering what’s going to happen next. It’s never predictable either which makes it even more enjoyable. Time after time watching this movie, I gain more respect for the filmmakers and writers who incorporated many hints and foreshadowing throughout the writing and set. Not to mention the acting which was top notch, the movie is filled with legends, I mean Captain America?? HELLO! Chris Evans is one of my favorite actors and he makes this movie even more amazing than it already is. And his sweater- just amazing. Shout out to Rian Johnson for an amazing job on this movie. If you need a movie to watch no matter what you are in the mood for, watch this movie it has it all!

I've read my share of murder mysteries/thrillers, and this one was great fun to watch play out. I had it all wrong! Lol.

It’s a long showpiece for social justice issues but it meanders in its delivery of the story. Any potential is squandered quickly thirty minutes in. There are better who dunits to watch.

I honestly went into the movie not knowing the plot and I have to say, this is movie is the best murder mystery I have seen!!

Went into this movies with high hopes of liking it. But, geez, I easily figured out the perpetrator within the first 30 minutes. Not what I like in a whodunnit movie. Yes, the actors were all good in their parts, so I did enjoy that, as well as the plot. The movie’s underlying message was pretty clear. All in all, a pretty good movie, but I’ve seen better in this genre.

This movie was incredibly filmed and the writing and acting was amazing. I really hope I see more from this director!!!

This movie is just pure fun. Suspenseful, subversive and overall funny, Knives Out is a great addition to the whodunit genre.

Salty Star Wars fanboys can shut their mouths about “Ruin” Johnson. RIAN Johnson is an extremely talented writer and director and only wants to give audiences something to enjoy. Most of the one-star reviews here are from idiots who are still salty about The Last Jedi, so don’t listen to them.

The only issue I have with this is the pacing, which slows the film down a lot in the second act, but I love this film otherwise.

Superb acting, a witty and clever screenplay and many subversions of expectations make this a really fun watch.

Waste of money

A movie has never put me to sleep in a theater before; this one did. I guess that’s a feat...🤷🏻‍♂️🥱

Was really looking forward to this one but was ultimately disappointed. They tell you what happens within the first 30 minutes so the rest of the movie is that person covering their tracks, why wouldn’t you save that twist for the end of the movie?? And the so called “twist” they do save for the end, you can see coming a mile away. Acting is really good but overall this movie is an hour too long and just not well done

They gave away the murder and how it was mostly done with in the first 30 mins of the movie. Everything was super horribly dragged out. All of the characters were super predictable and you knew all there angles right away. And people who you thought would be important to the story ended up wasting time. Honestly it was like they figure since they had so many famous people that it would make up for the lack of story character. Oh and I think Daniel Craig is an amazing actor but him playing a southern guy was terrible.

I don’t understand why this movie is so highly rated. It doesn’t even have a twist. Not clever enough to overlook the obvious plot. I really can’t use the word obvious enough. Total disappointment.

The set design was great, acting was on par with each actor. But the story was a little simplistic and disappointing. I’m glad I watched it but I’d never buy it or watch it twice. It was just ok and missed opportunity to make a really good mystery as well as overcrowded with great actors left most of them with only 10 minutes of screen time.

When a film has THIS much hype, I find that usually it falls short. With other movies that have had a lot of hype, I found that usually I liked them better if I saw them when they first come out versus waiting months and months for rental and countless reviews. I think most of the time unless a movie is a rare unicorn, like Parasite, there's no way it can live up to the expectations. But then again, I also saw Parasite towards the beginning of its release. We tend to really dissect a movie that has this much publicity and attention. This movie has a superb cast of Hollywood icons and a fun, whodunnit premise. It was decent but did not wow me! I wasn't overly impressed with the twists in the storyline. I think the story could have and should have been better for this big of a film. My favorites Toni Colette and Jamie Lee Curtis were completely underutilized in this movie. They are both standouts, horror movie queens and strong actors who lead films and franchises. Director Rian Johnson really should have used this to his advantage and given them more than just small background parts. Also, why do we feel the need to set off fireworks and throw a parade when a movie is just decent. Isn't that the goal of all movies anyway? To be good and entertaining?! What happened to movies HAVING to be good to be made? Now, if a movie isn't terrible it's shouted from the rooftops as an Oscar shortlist favorite. With the Knives Out sequel, I hope they give the audience more to solve on their own and spoon feed us less of the plot. They can really make an amazing, smart movie!

A stupid plot and bad acting by actors who are usually very good equals bad directing. How this gets so high of ratings is another indication of how unreliable Rotten Tomatoes. I swear they must pay people to do these reviews. I mean, the very premise, without spoiling it for you, "Humm, I want to protect someone I love by making her look innocent, so I'm going to direct her to do things that make her look as guilty as possible whereas I could have just invited a family memeber up, said I'm going to bed, and had them escort her out." And Daniel Craig's fake accent is beyong terrible. Two hours wasted.

By the time I saw this movie, there had been way too much hype. Knives Out just didn’t live up to what everyone said about it.

...the deceased's family has "left-" and "right-wingers" in it, and both come in for ridicule. For example you've got a Nazi kid but also a SJW college student with an incomprehensible and useless major. If there's social commentary here, it's not fundamentally about politics but about a deeper kind of moral failing that status and privilege can facilitate but that cuts across ideological lines.

Great film, superb casting. Daniel Craig is at the top of his game here. Well written and directed whodunit.

This is an amazing film with a plot so intricate that your mind will twist into a pretzel, and you can’t help but love every moment of it. This movie shows how versatile an actor Daniel Craig is, and opens up an opportunity for him to play a new iconic character after his final James Bond film. This movie is a masterpiece, and I recommend it to anyone, from the most committed fan of Agatha Christie to someone who simply wants to enjoy a good film.

I didn’t know much about this movie, my daughter told me all about so we had to see it. I have to say I was impressed. I love the who done it crime movies. This movie was very funny and had a great cast‼️Thumbs up to the cast and the director, it was thoroughly enjoyed.

One of my favorite movies of the year. A modern twist on a classic whodunnit narrative leaves you with more questions as answers are given all the way to a big revelation at the end of the film tying all loose ends and leaving all questions answered and leaving you with a sense of satisfaction and a hunger to watch it again.

Not what you expect. Not what you wanted. Exactly what you need. Absolute perfection. Give it a shot. I truly believe you’ll love it.
