Why do we have to wait so long to rent the movie?

I have followed this series since the very beginning. Although the first one is a masterpiece this one is one of the best sequels since the original Halloween 2.

I saw this on the midnight premiere and I was so nervous how they would take this movie. They did very fine job and didn’t try to do to much. Their is a “twist” in the movie that I didn’t like to much but that’s the only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating. Loved it though

Great follow up to the original. Captures some of the same tone as carpenters while making its own mark on the franchise.

I loved a sequel that wasn’t a teen murder movie. I wanted more Michael vs Jamie but i loved the movie. Some great scenes such a the bathroom scene and the babysitting scene

I loved watching this film on the big screen so much jump scares and intense scenes coming Micheal Myers doing his thang but other then that you must pre order or buy this movie such an amazing horror film brings back memories alright well see ya !

It's not a great film by any measure, however it is the forth best Michael Myers movie in my opinion (1,4,and 2). I am not sure how i feel about the whole doctor angle, especially when the doctor puts on the mask. The other issues I have that it seems to borrow A LOT from the movies it disregards in the story line(scenes, the halloween masks, character names.) It also does not answer that why is Michael going after Laurie.

The ending is left open, since we do not see Michael actually buring up,as in Part 2 and see Laurie's granddaughter holding a knife, silimar to the ending of part 4, if there is a squeal which way do they go?

Really good movie I thought even thought I would of really liked if they kept "Halloween 2" instead of ignoring it.

Overall entertaining and I enjoyed how they went back to the original story and added some different twists but the ending is a tad disappointing. I am a firm believer that if you don’t see a body then he isn’t dead. I predict a second movie will come out.

Besides the discontinuity issue of the other Halloween movies, this one was refreshing and not predictable.

This was a really cool movie.

Whoever says this is better than Rob Zombie’s needs to stop drinking their bong water. This movie was terrible. Like one of the worst I had ever seen. I’d rather watch Halloween resurrection or H2O over this crap. The only redeeming quality about this movie were the kill scenes that stepped it up a bit from the original. But compared to Zombie’s masterpiece and the actual original, this is just garbage 😂 like the story is ridiculous if you can even say it had one. All the questions and plot lines they brought up they left unanswered as if they never brought them up or made them a point. And the one part I just cannot get over of how stupid it was, was the part where he first got to haddonfield and stole a hammer from the shed then walked in and killed this random lady because she had a knife. Then he moved on to killing more random people that again had nothing to do with the plot. So the entire time they are saying he’s coming for Lori when the mf probs don’t give a 💩

Just all around a disappointing movie. Don’t waste your time and just rewatch the original or fob zombie’s

Laurie is yeah, Time for Michael to Kill Laurie and for this series to mive forward, so much can be dine with Halloween.

Although it’s not a perfect film, and there ate some plot holes and pacing issues at times. The film is a strong representations on trauma and lives up to the original well. There are scenes that are heartbreaking and scenes that are horrifying. It’s worth it for any fan or non fan.

A very good sequel. Better than Rob Zombie’s!

This is a great entry into the franchise, it takes the entire story into a totally different and new direction. It’s a reboot/direct sequel to the original film that ignores every sequel except the original. It has great call backs to the sequels though - that die hard Halloween fans will notice. It’s a movie that someone who has never seen any of the other films can watch and enjoy, while still being made for the fans.

Amazing movie 9/10 movie only thing I can say that I did not like was a scene near the end that was kinda off but otherwise this movie was very fun and kept me watching

Great cinematography, great score, Curtis’ and Courtney’s (Myers) performances are grand. Ignore the fools giving this one star. It’s a good film.

I love the Halloween franchise. Love the fact that they took out the part where Laura wasn’t the sister. Amazing and dark all in one. Can’t wait to own it

Movie best best best

I loved this movie, saw it 4 times! It was scary and funny and I loved how the directors threw in some parts like the original. Hopefully there’s another one coming out soon!!🧡🧡🧡

Another disappointing, sloppy sequel in a franchise that deserves better. The writing is weak, full of moments that serve the director more than the characters. A surprising number of scenes are essentially lifted straight out of other Halloween sequels, and very little here feels original. It feels like another remake. Nick Castle was in a few scenes and John Carpenter did the score but it doesn’t amount to much. Michael doesn’t even stalk anyone in this movie, he just sort of kills everyone he sees. Also about 80 minutes in something shockingly stupid happens and the movie never recovers. It’s not terrible, it’s not great, and it’s not one of the better Halloween sequels. Instantly forgettable.

Hands down one of the best Halloween’s I’ve seen since the first movie. Michael Myers is back and he’s more brutal then ever. You will love the suspense of this movie and trauma that Laurie goes through waiting for Michael to return and come after her and her family. He won’t stop until he gets his obsession Laurie Strode and trust me there will be a sequel. Can’t wait to see what Blum house brings to the table in the sequel.

This film is great and totally brings the franchise justice after many failed attempts. It is very important to remember that this film is doing what the original did and keep Michael killing randomly like what he did in the original. This is why they removed the brother/sister plot from the sequels. This film feels like a true Halloween film and works really well as a direct sequel to the first.

Ignore all those reviews that have 3 stars or less. This film is as good as the original. Those reviews are clearly from people who had a vision of a film already played out in their minds and when it did not fit their vision, they began to hate the movie.

These are probably the same people who complain on social media about everything because that’s what they enjoy doing, trashing on everything. If you have not seen the film in the theaters, make sure to rent and purchase this film. It pays homage to the original but also builds its own story.

To the negative reviews...sorry you envisioned a film from start to finish in your mind. Maybe you should go to film school and direct your own film.

Amazing

This movie was good. It captured the essence of the original while still having a new kind of uniqueness. And yeah, this movie was brutal. I mean brain splattering, blood gushing brutal. Way more violent than the first, but that is what made it scary.

It really brings you into the emotions of Laurie Strode and her life, and how Halloween night, 40 years ago effected her. Now, when they wanted to put Easter eggs from the original, they really pushed it so much that I was like, I get it and so you can stop it now. But overall this movie is sick, and that’s what a slasher movie should be. Awesome and amazing. This is a great return of evil. THE SHAPE RETURNS!

Halloween is the best movie ever

A great sequel of the original Halloween movie. I’m pre-ordering this movie 🍿

One step above the two Rob Zombie movies and one below Halloween: Resurrection. A poorly-made mess of a film. Choppy, unfocused, poorly written, abrupt editing and awkwardly-filmed death scenes with unnecessarily graphic gore. Worst of all... it’s just plain boring. The beat part of the film is the first 15 minutes... once it turns into a horror film, it completely falls apart.

I went to it twice, and I liked it both times. The only scenes I didn’t like were the scenes at the high school, and maybe a couple others that I didn’t think fit very well, but they were small.

The people that are thrashing this movie are just plain ignorant. It was amazing. Poor you for having to focus on an actual story rather than visual noise. You’re all probably Michael Bay fans too I’d assume (gags).

Was Disappointed halfway through watching , since it had soo much potential to be an amazing installment . But it was just too predictable n not scary one bit .

I have no idea how this movie is receiving so many good reviews. I saw this and I was truly disappointed. Jamie Lee Cutis was some kind of surburban Rambo, and Michael Myers needed Depends. I grew up with these and I loved all of them, even the Rob Zombie versions (I actually really liked those). Yes, I even tollerated the little girl in Halloween 4 I think. Her acting was so bad that Dr. Loomis (or however you spell it), should have gotten an Oscar. That said, not a good movie, it had a couple moments, and points for trying to make it a little different and more current.

I went to see it on opening night and LOVED it! There were a few things I would have done differently but overall, it was worth seeing in the show and DEFINITELY preordered it!

It was a good 10/10 great flow and everything loved this movie so much
