I wished there was a way to rate this even higher than 5 stars. Never have I been in such anticipation for a movie release. This was the most gripping and powerful movie with such an amazing lesson about acceptance. The story is based on the idea of PT Barnum, not on his life, but it does prove that the circus is not the only Greatest Show... Life is...

My favorite movie ever! The talented cast draws you in from the very beginning and leaves you wanting more! Beautiful costumes and singing. We saw this movie three times in the theater, and can’t wait to own it. Bought the soundtrack already.

This movie is so uplifting. I know there’s a few people who he didn’t hit the same way that hit me, but it hit me hard knowing that I can chase my dreams things can be accomplished with hard work going for it trusting your gut and knowing that you are enough. This movie has risen to become a top three of all time in my list of movies.

What has happened to rotten tomatoes?! It used to be a good thing that actually helped you find a good movie, but now it's just a bunch of picky "smarties" that hardly ever agree with the public on the quality of a movie. They're super corrupt, are known to take pay offs, and bring down good movies, because people seem to think their opinion is "so important". I'm sick of it. Fantastic movies like this shouldn't have to suffer the touch of these idiots.

Last night I saw it for the second time in theatres and I’m very exited because they say that In 2 days I’ll be able to buy it on iTunes!!! I’m buying it obviously for like $20!!! It’s just so amazing!!

I can honestly say that I don't think there has been another movie that had captivated me as did The Greatest Showman. Even after enjoying several great films over the holiday season such as StarWars, Thor, and Black Panther I walked away thinking how much more I enjoyed this film. I don't even know where the magic of this movie comes from. Is it from the Music? The Actors? The Romance, or Story? Perhaps it's all of the above wrapped in a Family Fun movie that's easy to enjoy over and over again. This is definatly a movie I will buy and I encourage others to do the same as well.

Absolutely amazing movie! I had goosebumps and chills through every musical number & was crying by the end! Inspiring and visually so fun to watch! Not to mention the soundtrack is incredibly catchy and is constantly on replay in our home. I recommend this movie for the whole family!

I didn’t think I was going to like this movie as I wasn’t a fan of La-La Land. But from the opening scene, I was hooked. The music pulled me in, and I had to go back for more.

I can’t wait to own this movie... the brilliant choreography and amazing voices followed me home in my mind when I first left the theater. The soundtrack is on HEAVY rotation, and I think the critics from Rotten Tomatoes are idiots for only giving this a 55% rating.

you know, i was seeing the commercials for this movie a lot and i didn’t really think it would be all that great at all. i LOVE musicals and i’ve been waiting for a new, good one to come out and my grandma showed me this movie and i fell in love. the cast is amazing, the voices literally gage me chills half of the time, and the story line is just so inspiring and encouraging.

I am an A-typical guy who strays away from musicals. I decided to man up and take my wife to see a movie I thought she would like versus the guns blazing action films I drag her to. I was blown away by the rollercoaster of beautiful emotions this story takes you on. We ended up watching this movie three times in the theater and can’t wait to purchase it. I found out that this was a passion project for Hugh Jackman, and he fought to get this movie made, and I am so glad it was.

My whole family enjoyed this movie so much we literally listen to Never Enough every single day. My kids are 2 and 4 and they know the beat and some of the words to every single song. One of the best and most memorable musicals ever!

Today was my first time seeing it and can I just say it is now my #1 favorite movie in the world

I have this movie 5 stars for a reason. Each star represents something (a standard or expectation) that was fulfilled. I walk into each movie with a similar but not always the same representations for stars. (For example, I wouldn't walk into a horror movie with one of the stars being the quality of the music)

My first star represented how the story moved me. The story was beautiful, captivating, and really (this might sound corny but it's true) I walked out with a new understanding on how I want to live my life and what I should make of it. Really great job, Hugh Jackman, you taught me a valuable lesson. My second star was for the story. Did the story make sense? The answer is yes. Everything was perfect. Once again, lessons to be learned, and comedy in just the right places. My third star was for the acting. Okay, this is a star because of twilight, really. And the actors were AMAZING, so you don't have to worry about that. My fourth star was for the music. Notes, lyrics, execution, and message. Great. Love This is Me, The Greatest Show, A Million Dreams, oh I just realized I've started listing all of them. Well the powerful lyrics and the power that the words hold took my breath away. Finally, my fifth star. How did I feel when I walked out? I find this the most important. In the beginning, when P. T. Barnum says "ladies and gents this is the moment you've waited for" I got chills. I walked out- awestruck. Speechless. I could not put how amazing I felt into words. Review:

P. T. Barnum lives in poverty and after his father dies, is even poorer.

But he befriends and soon falls in love with the richest man’s daughter.

Despised by Charity’s parents, he eventually earns money, finds a small place and proposes to his love.

They have kids and are very poor, but they get by until PT loses his job.

“This is not the life I promised you,” he tells his wife Charity. So he sets out in his attempts to create the greatest show.

Eventually the success starts to get to PTs head. He hires Jenny Lind, an opera singer who he is infatuated with and soon the show makes it big time. He buys the biggest house on the block and begins to belittle his performers.

Zac Efron, who he hires, (well he played who he hires) soon likes a performer and is continually rejected by her.

PT goes on tour with Jenny, leaving home and his wife.

There are many people who hate his show, and they begin to hurt the performers still in NYC.

Meanwhile, Jenny tries to seduce PT but he refuses and she is offended. She quits the show and kisses him goodbye. On the lips. In front of a large crowd.

Back in NYC a fire is started and the theater burns down.

PT is back and he saves Zac but not the whole arena.

He goes home and learns he is being evicted and his wife learns of his kiss with Jenny and leaves him.

Depressed he turns to drinking in the bar .

Meanwhile Zac is in the hospital.

His performers find him in the bar and they tell him how much it meant to them. He gets inspired to restart the show.

Zac gets better and he and his love kiss.

They can’t rebuild the theater so they use a circus tent and the show goes on.

PT has a good performance and then let’s Zac take over so he can see his kids grow up.

Any music buff will love this movie. It has all the magic one would expect from paying to watch a theater performance, but in movie form. I don't understand at all the critics that don't like this film. They're like the scrooge from Christmas!

This movie is amazing! From the cast, music, visual effects... everything! It is a wonderful movie for our entire family. My husband loved it as much as our 2 year old daughter. We’ve seen it in the theater twice and have preordered it for when it is released. If you haven’t seen it, do it now!

Man I hate to sit through movie musicals but this one was done so well. I applaud Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Keala Sette, Micheal Gracy, and everyone else involved with creating such an amazing movie. I will admit that it is a very fictionalized version of what really happened but it was a great story they put together nonetheless. I just wanna watch it again! I definitely recommend watching this movie. :)

I love musicals and the circus this movie combined both into a spectacular masterpiece. It deserves way more praise and positive reviews. It has no flaws at all. Zac Efron and Zendaya’s characters perfectly display how beautiful a biracial relationship can be during a time period where society disapproves of such a thing. The talent is endless with the unforgettable songs and acrobatics. I highly recommend this for everyone to see. My new favorite movie definitely. I saw it on Dec.24 with my mom.

Music & Choreography was amazing! The movie left me feeling inspired and moved!!

This is a fine movie for families. The music, acting, choreography, and art design is great. The main problem with the movie is the story, but if you want to have a good time watching good music with a by the numbers plot, it’s a fine movie to watch. Probably should just rent and buy the four songs on the album that are the most memorable. Especially the first song, and the duet between zac Enron and Zendaya, those are both great songs. In conclusion good music and like able cast, plot just isn’t new and at one specific point is painful in how predictable and unoriginal it is. Also don’t go in expecting a true life story. This is a highly factionalized version of history. It’s more a celebration of what was created rather then how and why. Go in with that expectation and you should like it fine.

This film gave me chills from start to end. Everything about this movie was beautiful- the cast, the sets, and music, the routines, and the message. It was incredible and definitely my favorite movie of all time. It was just so wonderfully put together and I feel lucky to have experienced it.

This soundtrack is one of the most dynamic pieces of work in recent memory and it is a celebration of inclusion and diversity, and leading the cast is Hugh Jackman, who has time and time again proven himself to be one of the most versatile performers of our generation... or any generation.

Zac Efron’s voice has definitely matured since his High School Musical Days. It’s good to see him back where he belongs instead playing mindless beefcake in raunch-rests like Bad Grandpa and the putrid Baywatch.

Zendaya is a force of nature and Kesha leading the charge in “This is Me” is nothing short of mind-blowing.

Much can be said about the life of P.T. Barnum, but the filmmakers choose to make this a celebration instead of a nitpicking and rehashing of Barnum’s shortcomings.

The music is riveting and there’s no let up. The cast is hell-bent on entertaining you and they do it with such joy that it makes you want to see it over and over again.

The music, songs, character development, the story, the production design, the EVERYTHING! This is simply the best movie I’ve ever seen. No joke!

My daughter dragged me to see this on Christmas Day and frankly, I wasn't expecting much. To my complete surprise, I found this to be a superbly entertaining and at times, very moving film. I found myself caring about the cast and their plights and on several occasions, actually became somewhat emotional. I cannot overstate how much I enjoyed this. I would highly recommend seeing this movie.

I have to say, hands down, this is one of the best, if not the best, movies this year! What a way to end the year. I was a bit skeptical on how this movie was going to be and it surpassed all my expectations. Not only is the cast amazing, the storyline so well portrayed and put together and overall well done, but in the current times we are living in, the moral of the story and the strong empowerment it gives to its viewer to be who you truly are, was just so great to see and feel. Such an amazing movie! I took my niece (14yr) and nephew (10yr) to see this and for them by far is their number 1 movie! Look forward to seeing this again with friends.

I watched this movie Christmas Eve with huge expectations. It was beyond the cliche “Above and Beyond” this movie is poetry and inspiration literally... if the dictionary would update those two words, this movie would fall under that category and the sound track, 😩🙌🏼 amazing, splendid, marvelous, etc. these actors did such an amazing job executing the movie extremely well! It’s my number 1 movie now and that’s saying something because I loved Gladiator ever since it came out. Now this movie is my #1 ohh yeah... I had goosebumps from beginning to end. And I also walked out the theatre with a big smile.

The Greatest Showman gives one of the Greatest experiences at the theaters. The way the story is told is very enjoyable but what shines the most in this story are the songs.

Having been written by the song writers of La La Land their writing genius continues to shine all throughout The Greatest Showman.

This is too much money

When I saw the trailer, I was like, “oh, that looks cool.” I didn’t really think that it was amazing then, and though it was just going to be like a regular movie. But, it was way better than that. I must have cried at least 5 times during the movie. It had to be the best movie I ever saw. “The Greatest Showman” storyline was very moving, and the music was great, too. I already bought the soundtrack, and I only saw the movie 3 days before. I would definitely recommend this movie. Watch it with a friend so you can talk with them afterwards. That way, you don’t obsess with someone who doesn’t get how great “The Greatest Showman” is.

THIS is really a movie for the WHOLE family. No profanity, no sexual content, no nudity, no blood. I loved the lesson about courage, individuality and acceptance. I was glued to the ENTIRE story and couldn’t sit still. Amazing writing, casting, choreography and songs. The actors weren’t huge names except two and they were marvelous. The is a must watch!

I definitely did not expect this movie to be a musical. It should have been a biographical drama that focused more on the story of how the circus started. But since it was a musical, there barely was a plot to the story with so many holes to it.
