Taking all the cliché tropes you might expect in a movie about a group of people trying to survive the zombie apocalypse but handling them perfectly. As exciting as the opening of an Indiana Jones movie, but still managed to make me cry.

This movie was phenomenal. I wasn't expecting much when watching the trailer, but I was blown away when watching the movie. First horror movie to have me in tears. Very suspenseful. I was "on the edge of my seat" throughout the entire film. Must watch.

Just watch it, I personally found the acting and the soundtrack pretty off. Good for an indie movie but not there yet for me.

I went into this film not expecting anything and was delighted at how different it was from other zombie movies I have seen recently. There was a PLOT!!! The storyline was well written, the actors were good and realistic...I am happy to say I think this is the "first" time I agreed with Rotten Tomatoes as this was a definite A+ zombie movie. Subtitled...but reading is good for you! Enjoy!

I love zombie movies and this has to be one of the best that I have ever seen. There wasn’t a single minute of inactivity. Several aspects set this movie apart from the classic zombie flics. All of the scenes and scenarios are inventive, exciting and many that I don't think have ever been seen in a movie of this type. If that was a bit of a vague description then here is one great example: the victims are trapped on a full throttled bullet train with nowhere to run so they must use their inventive imagination to create some very unique methods to evade and (in some cases) unorthidox weapons to escape the ever advancing zombie hoards.

I first heard of this movie through iTunes (obviously). So when it was added to Netflix I had to put in my list. I just finished the movie and it is so different from American zombies and I like that. I like the appeal it has and I really enjoyed how people really questioned themselves and others since it was on a train. Love love love it!

Not only a great horror film, but the emotion and astonishing characters are just top notch. Couldn't love it more.

It's not very common at all for a horror to score so high on RT, so that's misleading. It wasn't bad, at all, but it wasn't great at all either. Just kind of, meh.

Excellent, unlike anything youve ever seen and most def amazing actors!!! Watch it you wont regret it!!!!! Worth every minute :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Several unexpected turns and the story line brought me to tears.

I've yet to see a decent zombie movie since 28 weeks later....this was is very good and the fact that all you have to do is blind the zombies, turn off the lights or block the zombies view to not be seen and escape...is totally new and refreshing!

This was some movie...might be a cult classic someday. I gave it five stars for the girl at 18:40. She must have had acting lessons!

I'm late to the party with this one, but I can't fathom how anyone would rate this movie lower than a five star review. It's kind of difficult to believe actually. The only reason you can compare this to Wolrd War Z is because the zombies are almost exact in terms of how they move, and yes there are several shots of the zombies piling up, but that is literally the only comparison. Ignore the "it's just like World War Z but on a bus" because that is false. Plus every zombie film has been done guys, there's no way to really do something that hasn't already been done with this genre. Unlike most zombie flicks, this one had so much heart and a wide range of interesting characters to follow, love or hate. It's intense, thrilling, and extremely heartbreaking. Yeah, there's a few moments of incredibly cheesy dialogue and bad acting, which is almost always expected, but overall all the good overshaddows those tiny instances, and I must note that this was an unpredictable film, something that stood out to me.

Bottom line, watch it. Worth every penny and every minute. As soon as I finish this review I will be purchasing the movie.

Not a big fan of apocalyptic/zombie films but a big fan of Korean horror. This movie was very...emotional? It's always so meaningful when a movie can pull you in and make you so emotionally invested in loving/hating characters, or getting that anxious feeling as if you're there yourself. Not necessarily a "scary movie". But definitely a thriller. Again, very emotional I cried at least 4 different times. The ending was so unexpected and my anxiety was through the roof up until the last like 5 seconds.

Ok so let me just say, in spite of being a horror movie fanatic, I hate zombie flicks. But this.......this movie is amazing!! This is the very first zombie flick I actually enjoyed. Had me crying at the end. A must watch!

I must say this movie blew me away, me being a zombie/horror movie lover. Train To Busan is a thrill ride..... literally. This movie has it all i gotta say South Korea outdid themselves on this one.

Watch it with subtitles on as the voice actors are not very good. Great pace, good acting, great characters, awesome visuals, etc. Believe the hype.

One of the best zombie movies ever made.

To begin the film itself was well-crafted and highly entertaining. However ask the film creeps towards it's in soon becomes a cliché which was not necessary. I advise anyone who watches this film to enjoy the first hour and 20 minutes as everything past it is worthless.

Typical zombie movie but from a Korean perspective.

Quite entertaining except for the stupid actions of the main star when faced with a man turning into a zombie. Instead of acting before it's too late, he basically just waits. Doesn't make sense with the way he acted in previous scenes and really spoils the movie.

Is this just a reason to make the ending of the movie even more dramatic than it already is??!

The movie was faced paced. Characters were okay - actors definitely did not do much to bring out the emotions that could have been portrayed. Yes, there were pseudo emotional scenes but the way they were portrayed left much to be desired. Plenty of other, well made zombie apocalypse movies out there. I’m losing all faith in these rotten tomato ratings - 95% would make you think that this movie redefined a genre but it did not. The ending left you hanging.

Everyone's performances is great. The movie works and it knows what it is. Which is a fun fast paced zombie action flick.

I've always heard people talking about this movie but never gave it a watch since I'm not into zombie movies. However, after finally deciding on watching this, I am in love. The whole movie was fantastic and very well done. The plot was dynamic and makes you keep your eyes glued to the screen the whole time. At some points I was biting my nails, intensely watching what will happen next, while at other times I was crying like a baby. The charcters were so interesting and the remaing good ones, brought so much emotion to the audience.

Wow this movie is something special, It's breathtaking and beautiful! As a huge fan of the zombie genre I can honestly say this is one of the single best zombie movies I've ever seen. Do not let the English subtitles discourage you from seeing this if you are one to avoid foriegn films as it only enhanced my viewing experience.. A near flawless zombie flick that I consider a must watch. Acting, cinematography, immensly emotional story, and characters all executed to perfection. Don't skip this one, you'll never know what you're missing.

all these 5 star ratings are over the top. this is a solid zombie movie with good pacing despite having such a simple plot. it's got action (a couple new things à la the zombie wall-scaling scene in world war Z) and heart (wasn't sold on the acting until the last 15 min, and i'm a Gong Yoo fan). you will probably cry.

I NEVER leave reviews but this time I am, the was one of the best zombie movies I have seen in a very long time, drama, a lot of action, very emotional, a lot of heroism. I recommend this. Kudos Korea for the amazing movie.

I have seen almost every movie in this genre and most are trash these days. This definitely wasn't. Very good movie, great acting, and also surprisingly an awesome message. Not a shoot em up movie at all but still action packed. Very good movie.

This was so well done. It is fast paced with some great acting. The little girl's acting was really impressive as well as the actor who played her father. There were some very touching moments with many layers of complexity. I didn't even care about the subs. I loved the scene with the pile of Zombie's hanging on to the train as it was going down the tracks! If you like this genre you gotta see this one.

Beautifully executed and forever forward moving..

I have seen too many zombie movies to count. Zombies are my favourite type of horror movie, and really just my favorite type of movie in general. This movie had a wonderful plot, incredible stress-inducing action scenes, and pulled on my heart strings like no other zombie movie before. If you enjoy zombie films, watch this. If you dont, I guarantee you will.

It's a great and cool new look at your typical zombie movie. I found myself a little hesitant on certain characters and then found myself crying and loving them at the end. It was a really great movie and I'm glad to have seen it. It's something I could watch again and again.

I rarely write reviews, but Train to Busan is it worth. Even World War Z, which brought a new flavour into the genre, has not more action than this movie. A simple roadkill turns the world into a nightmare. Within the first 5 minutes you will be on the edge of your seat. Superb acting. Probably the best zombie movie I have seen in a long time. Beware: This is not a funny movie like the new Dawn of the dead, Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead. This is really, really scary.

A gripping tale from start to finish. Worth every penny.

I'm a 28 year old girl but a serious fan of indie horror, and in particular the zombie genre. I've literally seen them all. Picked this because Rotten Tomatoes, 96%... must be legit. And it is. I've yet to watch the last 50 minutes because I literally needed to take a break.

First zombie movie to have me in tears! Very well shot and heartbreakingly emotional. Worth every penny!

Along with 28 Days Later and Shaun of the Dead, Train to Busan is the Zombie movie to see! You will not be disappointed. A few broken hearts but not disappointed! The action sequences are top notch the fights with the Zombies make you go on the edge of your seat! Train to Busan will be going down as a Zombie Classic!

Saw this in theaters this summer on a whim and wow, was I blown away by the complexity of this zombie movie because it's not just a zombie movie. It has a fast-paced plot, high stakes, and beautiful characters you're rooting for in a very claustrophobic, dangerous place.

It was a great movie !! I just watched it and came home and preordered it on my phone hope it comes out soon!!

I can't wait to watch it. I hope it will be available soon!!!
