Fassbender and Vikander have a great magic on screen together. A powerful story incredible scenery, and well done movie all around. None of that WOKE nonsense.

I absolutely adored this movie. It takes quite a bit to make me cry. I guard my gooey feelings like a soldier lately ... but oy did this movie have me crying like a baby.

Allow your heart to be drawn to this tale of unconditional devotion and you will not be disappointed. Stellar work by all the actors and the storyline is rich with nuances of hope, loss, redemption and the deepest love.

This is really a great movie, ignore the critics!!!

Don't listen to some of the critics- This movie made me cry as hard as I did when I first saw "Terms of Endearment", and my big tough but sensitive hubby shed a few genuine tears too. It's sweeping, genuine, romantic, heartbreaking, poignant and "understandable"... You really could feel for every character, and every wrenching decision they had to make. One of the best movies we've seen in years (we see many) ly loved it. 5 Stars, and 4 BIG Thumbs up

This is a beautiful movie. It really came out of nowhere and stole my heart. Both a love story and a tragedy, it is part magic, part fairy-tale, and … WHERE IS THE OSCAR!!!

Made it through the first hour and never went back to finish it

When this says Rated PG-13, I found it to be rated R.......several sexual scenes that we had to fast forward through. Although I do know that by today's worldly standards, this type of content in PG-13 movies is exceptable. For my family, this was not a clean movie. We really don't want to see a man and woman having sex, or thier intimate moments in bed. I was very disappointed in this. Defintely not a family movie. It tells a story of selfishness, love for a spouse, unimaginable heartache, misguided loyalty and protection, mercy and forgiveness. The movie portrayed the concept that it is acceptable to be dishonest and deceitful when your love for a person, personal circumstances or situation outweighs doing the right moral thing and justifies your actions in your mind and heart. I found myself not liking the main couple. For us the movie was about stealing someone else's baby and making it about forgiveness. It was just ok. Definitely not great.

Extremely slow not very much talking just ocean sounds very frustrating

This is such an emotional, heart-wrenching movie. The acting on behalf of Alicia Vikander is superb! She truly captures the emotions in the best way and deserves an award for it. Definitely recommend!

I am a guy, dont like gushy movies, but this film will be watched for fifty years... felt like i was on that remote island with them, seemed like a front row at a play, felt real. I guess thats what the cast and director succeeded at, it made you feel alot and it made it feel real, also real wind, real salt air, real grass, real sunshine on your face. If it doesnt win alot of oscars, then its a true crime. To the cast and director and producers et al, thank you from my girl and I on this cold winter night.

this movie was heart breaking and admirabl. I cried a lot, the acting was great it was just like you can imagine yourself as them and feel the pressure.

This is one of the best films of the year. The acting is sublime. Alicia Vikander & Michael FASSBENDER should be nominated for best actor and actress. Rachel Weisz should be nominated for best supporting actress. The story is so incredible. How many Times do humans sacrifice their own feelings and deep desires for others? This film reveals four souls that show us the way. What a world this would be if everyone followed suit. A must see.

The movie skipped throughout. It was frustrating because the flow of the film was interrupted and ruined the experience. The actors were great as a usual. A little slow at times but perhaps its because its difficult to adapt a novel.

The acting is superb, the setting gorgeous. This story, although it appears to move slowly, actually packs a lot of character development punch. I was, however, tremendously let down by what I would call a big gaping hole in the story regarding the lives of the two main characters. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone, so I won't go further, and my disappointment might not be shared by all viewers. But, it disappointed me to the point that I had to downgrade a 4-star movie to 3 stars.

It's nice to see a story about someone doing the right thing, even when it's really, really difficult. Even though the initial circumstance seems contrived, the human dilemmas and choices are what make the story shine. The characters seemed real and reasonable to me. Glad I watched it.

Loved every part of this movie!

This movie was absolutely enjoyable! I now have plans to read the book. I would highly recommend renting this one. You won't be disappointed.

The ending was very heartfelt and touching but I felt that the movie moved very slow and was quite boring. I found myself fast fowarding many scenes.

This movie was amazing. Don't believe the critics that didn't like it because the acting was amazing and the story was told perfectly.

Movie did a great job of illustrating the "Janus Effect". Talented cast, great acting and beautiful setting deliver the message of right & wrong, forgiveness & resentment and desires & virtues.

What bothered & confused me [spoiler alert], was that although the bio-mom embraced her husband's adage of forgiveness, why didn't she teach it to her daughter by allowing daughter to visit Tom & Isabel?

I would recommend this movie. It has an overall good message.
