Version 5.83
Slow to load nearly every screen change . Supposedly integrates with apple’s saved TV provider but requires re-authenticating almost weekly. (Which, when accounting for nearly a dozen apple devices between tablets, phones and TVs means re-authenticating almost every time I boot the app. Completely defeating the purpose.
Doesn’t integrate properly with Apple TV. Content that is on the app doesn’t list in Watch In.

Version 5.80.1
The app is a glitchy mess and somehow with all the updates it’s gotten worse. I watch football and was looking forward to the women’s World Cup. If I’m looking at something the app will glitch and the content won’t be available but it repositions my view to some seriously sketchy advertisements. It almost feels intentional. Content not loading or glitches happens with regularity. Then there’s the actual coverage, the games are scheduled but on cable Fox doesn’t always show the games but replaces them with something like NASCAR. On the app if the games are at normal times Fox won’t let me watch them, but if they are at 4-5am (World Cup is in Australia) then it’s ok for me to watch. They are still showing ads during the games (so, so many car ads) so it’s not like they are not making money. Since teamUSA got knocked out early it feels like Fox doesn’t feel fans will watch and that might be the reason for lackluster coverage. Wow way to support women’s sports Fox. It’s not just the World Cup I’ve run into issues with other sports as well. Glitches are bad enough but add blackouts and other nonsense and the experience degrades significantly. They show ads, collect your data so what’s the problem? Overall the quality of the app and coverage is subpar. I won’t feel bad deleting the app.

A bit frustrating to navigate

2023-08-01
Version 5.80
I’m using the app to watch soccer- currently, the Women’s World Cup. Finding live matches, full match replays and highlights to watch is a frustrating experience, as these are often buried beneath all sorts of spoilers about the matches. Why wouldn’t they put the matches to watch up first, score-free, then the stories after? The app has spoiled several matches for me now that I wanted to watch by showing the final scores before the match links. I have NEVER had to deal with this on any other sports viewing app, not ever. I give 3 stars because once I finally find the match I want to see, the quality is great. But the layout screams incompetence… please FIX the layout.

Sports at it’s finest.

Now I don’t usually review things such as sports apps, aside from ESPN, but this app has got to be the more valuable pick for me when it comes to my sports that I follow, with its informational articles and great player-following, I never feel out of the loop using Fox Sports, and to add onto the amazing experience, it’s widgets (haven’t heard of those in awhile I bet) can even be selected to follow who I favorite on the app and want to know the most about, if you can, I recommend giving it a try.

Version 5.75
I would have stayed at ESPN if it wasn’t for FOX Sports. I didn’t think the app would be worth it, but I was proven wrong. Sure, I still use the ESPN app but I really enjoy the FOX Sports app and it’s simplistic and minimalistic notifications and designs. Instead of getting bombarded with notifications from minor events and too many broken news (I had 85 notifications from ESPN just today!), FOX Sports gives me the important rundown on just what I need to know in a length that won’t make me have to click on an article, and give me simple game notifications such as “MLB Final: TOR 2 @ NYY 5” or “BKN @ MIA - 8:00p ET” and a FOX Fact about the game instead of “🚨Game Start 🚨: Brooklyn Nets @ Miami Heat. Follow live on the ESPN App ➡️➡️”. I really love the design of the app and will continue to use it in detail alongside with the ESPN App, but I personally prefer Fox Sports over ESPN. Thank you FOX for this app.

Has problems… problems that I HATE!!!!!!

Version 5.72
So let’s start of with the pros then the cons. The app is great to get the latest updates on sports, teams, and people it has pretty much everything thing you need to follow up whatever sport or team you like now here are the cons. When I clicked on the soccer logo to see the latest soccer updates it just logged me out which sent me to my Home Screen on my IPhone I thought it could’ve been just a glitch so I tried the second time but it didn’t work and there is a problem that I HATE!!!! I was going to watch a live soccer match on the phone because I wasn’t at home so I waited on the waiting screen to watch it so I waited for the match to begin and it did so I thought I could watch it but it just gave live updates and on my other phone I have a account for fox sports so I tried to watch it from there but it was the same thing it didn’t let me watch and this is weird because when I tried to watch the FIFA World Cup on my TV which does have an account it said scan this with your phone so I did but it showed to watch on the phone so I fiddled with for a while so then it worked but with fox now not sports and I barely made it before the match started. These are my pros and cons

Lack of Golf Coverage

Version 5.71.1
We just finished the Masters and it was not in the main story line for also a day later! Have some stories on the PGA, LIV, etc I know I am not the only one sharing these thoughts. If I don’t see more golf, I will remove from this app as thousands of others will or already moved on from here. Way too much in NBA for sure! The big sports are NFL first then MLB and I would say NBA at bottom. Many fans have dropped NBA from their viewing since BLM. Now you will see major drop off with NHL. Stay out of the politics! We want enjoyment with high end sports. Stay away from woke! If you receive these type of stories from these woke and political writers…don’t post their stories until they get it. We don’t need their views. Listen to the majority!

More than just scores

 –
mjl1261
 –
2023-03-09
Version 5.69
You get a lot more than just scores with this app. Schedules, player stats, box scores, betting odds, even play-by-play… But what I like best is that it tells you what tv channel the games will be on, even obscure local networks that I’ve never heard of. I used to use another network app but it was common to look up the score of a game and not only could I not find the score, but it wouldn’t even show that the game was being played. If they would add college softball as one of the covered sports, this would get an enthusiastic five stars from me.

Best Sports App Out There!

Absolutely love the Fox Sports app. They provide the most relevant scores of the day, and great articles regarding the leagues/teams you like, which you can also favorite.
It’s also cool how there are new sections within the app for major marquee events. With this years World Cup, I was able to quickly view all the great highlights, live games, and articles that pertained to the tournament within this additional section of the app.
Can’t wait to see what it will look like for the Super Bowl, given Fox is broadcasting it this year. Keep up the great work!

How I think of Fox sports

 –
Trustme_tellstruth
 –
2022-12-18
It’s amazing don’t get me wrong! But there are something’s that they need to change… like how I’m trying to do something waiting on an important text and my phone vibrates, me thinking it’s the important text I look at my phone and it’s fox sports. I would be in class it’s my phone on do not disturb mode on but it vibrates! I don’t know if it’s because they thing it’s very important but last time I checked my phone only had my mother and father to let their messages go through. But I love fox sports. It’s an amazing game show that tells you what’s happening even if you aren’t watching the game! Like I’ll be on another app and it will send me a notification telling me what’s happening in the game. Sometimes it gets annoying but I love it.

I got the app because I just couldn’t find nowhere to watch the World Cup when I was traveling. Not only could I toon in on football/soccor but I could also watch hockey. I would extremely recommend this app to people, it made my game finding experience fun and easy. Every day you get 1 hour free to watch a game of your choice if you don’t have a streaming service to connect to. I personally use DirectTV as they are fast and reliable. I found out not only can you watch the games live, but you can also look at recaps, odds, box scores, and matchup lines. I use this app just about every day to watch Argentina crush the World Cup #messialltheway!!!! Anyways like I said I would highly suggest giving this app a try if you haven’t already!

I’m trying to watch the World Cup but I keep getting an error saying, “You have exceeded your account limits for this service:Invalid”. I’m signed into my TV provider so this shouldn’t be coming up at this point. The basic trouble shooting isn’t working either as I’ve done everything possible to remedy this and my connection is more than stable. Why is this happening during the World Cup? Of all times to have a faulty/buggy app, this is definitely not the time. This is especially ridiculous as this seems to be the only place to stream the World Cup in English. I’m probably just going to watch it in Spanish on Peacock because at least I’ll be able to see something. FOX fix your app, please. Until then, it’ll be uninstalled and I advise everyone else to save yourself frustration and headaches. Just watch it in Spanish or figure something else out if you can.

Far, far behind the ESPN TV app

 –
haightdj
 –
2022-11-05
As far as content goes, Fox has less than ESPN but that doesn't really anyone. I mainly use the Fox app via AppleTV so that’s the basis for my review. That said, the only feature the Fox Sports TV app has over ESPN is ability to start an in-progress game over from beginning rather than just join in live. For that reason I gave it 3 stars rather than 2. To be honest I’ve used that maybe one or twice when I forgot to record a game and joined it late and wanted to watch the whole thing from start to finish with no spoilers. The one immense edge that ESPN has over Fox is ability to stream up to 4 games simultaneously in PIP or grid setup. That feature alone makes ESPN the go to app for sports TV streaming. I can’t believe Fox doesn’t have this yet. Every Sat I’ve got the 4 best games streaming on ESPN and the only reason I tune in to Fox is if my team is on their network. Add in the multi stream and I may consider a switch but until then ESPN TV app dominates.
With the World Cup coming in couple weeks, this would be perfect time to introduce a multi stream feature.

If you’re a NASCAR fan, this app needs to be in your lineup. Great coverage and always up to date. This app is a must have for the NASCAR fan and other sports fans as well.
Update on my latest review Some things I’d like to see included in the next update. It’s still missing FOX Sports Radio, plus with hockey coming back around soon I’d like to see some NHL news alerts since this app barely sends alerts related to the NHL. I also would like to see college hockey included in the scores and news since the BIG Ten Network airs pretty much all the hockey games from the Big Ten. Just some suggestions
Also, I’m not a fan of seeing notifications from certain NFL news and NBA, I don’t follow NBA so I shouldn’t be forced to see a notification about it. Please fix it

I get very frustrated with my menu when looking for games of my interest. I simply go to fox sports and not only do I get the time but also the station that they’re on and if I miss a game they are posted and also the scores. All of the sports are scrolled across the top of the screen for selection and I just tap on the one that I want and it immediately comes up. Reports on my favorite players are also available, I find all of this so convenient especially for a woman in what I call a strange app but it serves me well!!

When the app works, it’s fantastic. I typically use it to stream the games and races onto my TV that doesn’t have a cable connection. It works fine sometimes which is great, but with AirPlay it refuses to do anything. It will constantly show me the “Error Loading your Content” message but then when I disconnect the AirPlay it loads perfectly wow.
I’ve had much better luck using Chromecast to cast the app to the TV, but even then it will randomly decide it doesn’t want to do that anymore either. It will stay connected but stops playing content with no warning or error message, just rotates through a few promo pictures for upcoming events. I have to cancel the cast on my phone, reload the page, then cast it again. It’ll work for another twenty minutes and then down again.
Overall when it works properly it’s one of my favorite apps to watch sports on, but the instability is infuriating and makes me want to throw my phone at the TV.

Constant forced ads for BTN

The app functions but forces at least a 15-second additional advertisement anytime starting Big Ten Network content. Not just the first time in a while, but every time. The same applies on Apple TV.
Switched to another video then came back? Forced ad. Accidentally closed the stream? Forced ad. Want to join the last few seconds of a game to catch a buzzer beater? Better hope you don’t miss it due to the ad you’re forced to watch while the game is happening.
I really don’t understand the extra ads. The regular ones during games are shown anyway. You can’t get access without subscribing to BTN on a regular TV plan. Why am I penalized for watching using the stream/app, which seems to be heavily promoted for live events?

Your UI / UX is absolutely frustrating. When I am watching Skip & Shannon on this app I always get upset at how the features don’t allow me to do what you would think it would be able to do. Like… having a pause button- being able to shut off my phone & it still run, or go to any other app and have it play in the back ground. Also when I slide up on my phone to turn the brightness up or down, your app doesn’t run and it lags the video I am watching. Super super frustrating. Other than that I do enjoy it. I am also a junior software engineer- I get my opinion might not matter but I feel like your software team can do better.

IOS Review... It appears you can no longer see a replay of a sport that was shown on fox sports well, on “Fox Sports”... the ‘trick’ seems to be you now go to FoxNow to see the sport replay... ok, silly/inconvenient/reduced feature from before, but ok I guess...
IOS (cont.) and Roku review... when you attempt to watch a replay of a sporting event that was shown on FS1 (Nascar in my case) you will most likely find that you have to have a subscription to FS2 because it appears that the replays are, and I’ll say with much confidence, purposely posted as FS2 even though the event was televised on FS1... I say with confidence that this is on purpose because practice and qualifying replays are posted as FS1 yet the race is posted as FS2...
The above is not at all a benefit, feature, service to the customer as compared to prior years and app versions... this is a deliberate attempt to eliminate replays and or force folks to subscribe to a dead/dying channel... FS2...
Thanks Fox for reducing your customer features as well as reducing your IOS app to a social media/gambling (odds) app... I always wanted to remove sports programs from the app and focus on ‘stories’, ‘social’, and ‘odds’... not... now your giving NASCAR’s horrible web site a run for it’s money for the worst...

This app is a major let down. Opening it up it seems so promising and then every time I’ve used it to watch a sporting event it’s let me down. Picture quality is awful and it’s usually always has a lag to it. Lately when I have been watching it, it will randomly cut to the screen you get when there is a commercial break in progress and it’s almost as if it gets stuck on that and never goes back to the program or game. I will close down the entire app and restart it and within minutes of doing that it will take me back to the commercial break in progress screen and will stay there. I usually don’t even watch what I want to because I get so frustrated I just give up. I wouldn’t go as far to say I wouldn’t recommend this app, but I would tell someone all the issues that I always have.

Just don’t.

I can’t voice my frustration with this app better than this email.
I’d like to thank you for being the most worthless TV app I have. I’m required to log in with my Directv information, which is understandable, but on two separate occasions I was kicked out of viewing the only program I begrudgingly downloaded your app to watch; both of these occurred in the span of one half of a game. When I logged in for the fourth time and verified my information for the same amount of times (yes of course I have FS1 as part of my TV package otherwise I would not have considered downloading this app), I gave up and moved on to other platforms. Whether I use my Apple TV, iPhone app, or PC login, I am unable to use your service. I knew I shouldn’t have even downloaded this app because I have literally never had any luck with any version of any Fox app I have ever tried using. Please keep up with technologies which other networks seem to have little to no trouble getting to function. Thank you so much for actively working to ensure I am unable to use your services for which I have already paid.
Sincerely,
I know you don’t actually care.

I don’t care for the four-letter network, so I prefer to get my sports news from Fox. However, this app needs some serious work. For instance, the college football schedule will not update for the top 25. I have had to keep it on the SEC option for any current scores. However, ever now and then I like to see how the top 25 are doing but I can’t. It still shows me the scores from last season. With that, y’all need to make it more interactive. Update your app or I’ll have to go to your other rival, CBS.
Updated review for updated app: still not a fan of the app. I liked having “my teams” front and center. Now, right when I open the app, they’re forcing stories and other teams down my throat that I personally don’t care for or about. Give me the option to put my teams’ scores/stories as the first things I see instead of your latest and greatest of what you think I want to see.

Great but...

This review is for the updated app. The new Fox Sports app is awesome and better than the previous app is almost every way. The layout is much more improved and there are stories to view which were not present before.
The notifications have missed the mark big time for me. While the new notification sound is amazing, there are less of them now, and some bugs. I used to be able to receive a notification for every score for a favorite team, but now I only receive a starting and ending notification. No more 3 hour game reminder, no more stats, no more end of the game stats. Thankfully the exciting games notification is still there, but it incorrectly reported four no hitters which did not occur in reality. I know the app is new and may just have some bugs to squash, but I am looking forward to giving this app five stars again.

For about 3 months now, the option to watch replays on my phone just flat out does not work. No matter how many times I close the app, delete, and redownload the app it just refuses to allow me to watch replays. Then when I know what time shows are on frequently I click on them to watch it and it tells me it has ended or not available... How? I wanna watch first things first, comes on at 6:30am and ends at 9:30am everyday it is clicked to watch the show at 8 and it tells me the show has ended and no longer available.... how? Undisputed comes on at 9:30 how is the show over? The updates do nothing, closing the app does nothing, idk what to do, but what I do know is that I’ll be watching espn from now on since this seems to be an ongoing issue that I feel will never be fixed. I’m quite frustrated with this app, and it hurts because now I basically can’t watch Uncle Shae Sharpe talk about anything anymore. Hope you guys actually read this, and I know I’m not the only one experiencing it. Hopefully, things moving forward will change but I doubt it... Thanks for coming to my ted talk

Unforgivably Bad on an iPad

Please inform the engineering team who wrote this embarrassing agglomeration of ones and zeroes that an iPad is not simply a large iPhone. In particular, the home screen should not force me to use my iPad in portrait mode. And, when I start streaming a video, it should not present it to me upside down (yes, I prefer to have my home button on the left, not the right).
Once you fix these glaring flaws, it would also be nice if this app were to actually open the program I’ve selected in the Fox Sports Go app when that relatively delightful piece of software informs me that I must use this abomination in order to watch that event.
Better yet, why not scrap this app, and go back to presenting streaming video in the Fox Sports Go app? I feel as though I’m being abused for no particularly good reason.

This app is terrible

Functionality is far worse than for all the other major sports networks. Makes you re login literally every time you try to stream something, and then will constantly send you in circles between login with provider and the game, and never load. The number of times I’ve been told “unable to play content” must be about 5-10x the amount of times it actually works. And if by some miracle you do get it to work, then just wait a bit, it’ll break down and then when you restart you have to start from scratch.
The Fox Sports Go app always insists on sending you to this app to stream things on BTN or FS1 and its a black hole every darned time. I don’t understand why a large sports provider that is aspiring to grow cannot create an app with anything approaching proper functionality.

I downloaded the fox sports app 3 days ago in preparation for the Wilder fight tonight. Casted a soccer match onto my tv. So today I bought the ppv event and tried casting it from my iPhone. After several attempts in chatting with technical support. They informed me that the fight couldn’t be casted. I asked them how to I get a refund and they kept apologizing without answering my question. There’s no number to contact over these issues? It blows my mind that your sight advertises it to work on ANY device. You just failed to say it won’t be able to cast but funny thing is I casted the other day. But today no it doesn’t work. I was instructed to try casting a tv show yet that didn’t work either. How are you going to run a business and have false advertising up on your page. All I want is my money back. I bought the fight to watch on my tv, not my phone. If I could give zero stars I would

This app is the absolute worst. I downloaded it to watch the World Series. (I’m from Houston but work in the Permian basin) well so far I’ve seen about 30 min total of the 4 games that have been played because this absolute GARBAGE app won’t even load the game for viewing about 90% of the time and instead gives me an error message. When it does load the game, half the time it’s buffering, glitching out and force closing the app, or there’s no audio. It’s also really annoying because apparently the “live” tv is actually a couple minutes behind because I’ll be watching a batter walk to the plate and then get an update about what he did before i can actually see it for myself. Just a complete and total let down. I have Verizon with their 75gig premium unlimited plan and 3 out of 4 bars of service. Also tried on my wifi. Makes no difference. It’s the app, not the signal. Fix the app and I’ll increase the rating but considering I’m leaving this review instead of watching the end of game 4, you’re getting 1 star. Zero if I could.

I have tried to watch 3 sporting events on this app. I can’t logon to my provider. It desperately wants me to make an account to synchronize my devices, despite only using one to watch games. Then there is the unresponsive links to games. I touch my screen to watch a game and I get... NOTHING! No response at all! Wow! I sure am glad this app exists to really make my cable dollars go further!
Fox Sports Go was fine. At least, that is to say, it worked. I’m sure not smart enough to understand why you would replace a working app to showcase your sports prestige, with one that everyone I know calls trash.
If this review isn’t deleted they might refer me to a chat link or a FAQ. But the sad truth is that it shouldn’t be this hard. And I’m not going to waste my time trying to get a simple app to work.

Sick app for watching the same 2 commercials endlessly on repeat

This is a visionary sports app that has gone in a completely different direction, bringing fans everywhere a truly unique sports viewing experience--one totally devoid of sports! Whereas even the most unstable sports apps typically make it through several seconds of a game at a time, typically quitting immediately before a crucially pivotal play, the brainiacs here at Fox Sports have opted to skip out on the whole sports thing entirely. Instead, they have developed a killer app that replays an endless stream of the same two commercials without ever showing any sports coverage. It's no secret that Fox and CBS have always lagged behind the other sports viewing apps (ESPN, even NBC) in terms of stability. While CBS decided to start charging for their clunker of an app to convince those duped into paying that their product was actually worth something, Fox has gone in a different direction entirely. Those intrepid fans who survive the initial stability issues with the TV provider login are rewarded in due course with an uninterrupted stream of the same two commercials repeating endlessly into eternity. No longer need they fear the dropped stream just before the game-winning walk-off RBI, or a long fieldgoal attempt to take the lead as time expires. My applause for the creativity and vision that went into this. One star for not charging us.

Attempted to sign in with my internet provider for the first time today (after being unable to multiple days ago). Only to be greeted with a “maximum login attempts exceeded try again in 15 minutes” message after I attempt to login. Great. I try again in 15 minutes to be greeted with the same message. Awesome. I try again in 30 minutes, and I am actually able to sign in! Yay! I go to a live broadcast and sure enough it shows that it is no longer locked, things are looking good. But when I click on it to watch, it tells me I have to sign in with my provider... I literally just did. I go back to settings and of course it asks me to sign in with my provider... again... so I do. “Try again in 15 minutes”. This bug makes the app unusable. Thanks for nothing.

Yes, I must agree that I do enjoy Fox Sports because they cover a vast majority of soccer, baseball, and football games that I would like to watch. Unfortunately, Fox has failed to fix the problem associated with casting the live sportscast to a connected TV. Unlike many other streaming apps, Fox does not have the capability to cast your live broadcast to a television for ease of watching.
Come on, Fox. Please just make one simple change and make it possible to watch your broadcasts that can be accessed on my phone and to allow it be cast onto a television.
UPDATE: after a couple of months of writing my initial post, the app still does not have the capability to cast. In addition, as I attempted to watch the live broadcast of the ALDS, I either could not find the broadcast, or when I did the app would direct me to the App Store to download the exact app that I’m using. Fox, please fix your app so I can finally watch games on my cell phone without having to go through such an excessive and unnecessary struggle with your product.

Let me start off by saying that I have a Chromecast. I used the Fox Sports Go app for years to watch all the soccer matches I could, while casting to my tv. Now, the Go app redirects me here, and to my surprise, no option to cast the games from the app to the tv. What gives?!?! At this point, there is no real reason for me to even use this app, watching sports on my phone is not ideal. Not sure why they messed with a good thing, but I can tell you, the generic responses to all the complaints doesn’t help either, and it definitely doesn’t give the impression that they even care that their subscribers and users are unhappy. I am most likely going to delete this app, the best parts of the Go app have been thrown to side and ignored, and their unwillingness to address the problems is kind of annoying.

Let me save everyone some time, the suggestion to everyone with issues is from the developer and it is: to uninstall and re-install the app. Like we haven’t tried that. Then they say contact your cable tv provider. They also say to speak to a chat agent, but the agent has been offline every time I’ve checked, and the link to the contact page is broken.
Updated review - if I could go even lower than 0 stars I would. Thanks for nothing.
I have been trying to log in with a tv provider to watch the World Cup, but I get the message “error loading tv provider login page” every time. I thought maybe I could create a profile to add a tv provider that way, but the reset password link doesn’t work, and I can’t create a new profile with a different email either. Why create a separate app when fox sports go worked just fine, and don’t spend any time making the new one work during actual sporting events?

I started watching World Cup today on my Apple TV and it was already about 30 min into it, so I told it to restart. About 2/3 through, it just said “program unavailable”. The game is now already over, so I’m trying to watch the replay, and cannot even fast forward to the point where it cut off.
It doesn’t remember that I’ve signed in with my TV provider, so I have to authorize every day. This is without signing in with a fox account, but on the same Apple TV. So I created an account, thinking that may help. Still cannot fast forward the replay even after waiting for the commercials to play. So what do I have to do if I want to watch the last 30 minutes of the game? I have to let it play all over. Come on Fox. You can do better than this.

Trying to watch the US-France World Cup match I only get a message that the app is unable to play the content, try again. To top it off it was still doing this several minutes into the game, but now when it brought me back to the Feeds screen, even though No Spoilers mode is turned on, the time and score in the game are shown in a huge font. Now I know a goal is scored early on, decreasing the anticipation since I still planned to watch the coverage from the beginning once I got in.
When the app did work for other games, it did work nice. The only issue I had was once when my wifi dropped (on my end) I could only come back to coverage at the beginning or at the live point. I couldn’t rewind coverage to where I lost connection.

I don’t understand the struggles with this app... it constantly makes me resign in with my cable provider and on top of that I doesn’t let me sign in with it anymore. Today when I click on the provider to sign it it loads for a minute then exits me out and won’t give me an option to sign into so I can’t watch any content... I then have to uninstall the app to attempt it again but the same problem keeps happening.
for some unknown reason the Fox now app allows for casting if you have an iPad but the Fox sport go and Fox sport apps do not support casting? That doesn’t make sense to me. If you offer it one one of your apps why not carry it over to the rest, kinda common sense if you already know and have a function integrated into your apps already.
Basically even though I have a cable provider I cannot log into it on this app and it’s basically useless..

This apps works fine except for one major thing. I’m trying to watch the US Open (golf) and when I open up the live stream after entering my tv provider, many times it says “unable to play.” That’s all it says. I try again and again waiting a good bit between tries and it doesn’t work. This is extremely frustrating. This happens both on WiFi and Cellular. I have an iPhone 6 on the latest iOS and just downloaded the app a couple of days ago. PLEASE fix this for future viewers as it is EXTREMELY irritating and furthering my negative opinion of FOX sports coverage of this event. Infuriating issues and lack of features

The app has some serious flaws that make it almost useless:
1. It constantly asks to resign-in to the app with tv subscription to watch program content. It seems to be every 24 hours or less. I’m watching the women’s World Cup games everyday.
2. There is no fast forward option for game replays on the Apple TV version of the app. And the iPhone version only offers 15 second increment fast forwards. When watching a replay of the World Cup games with a 30-45 minute intro before the match starts, it’s asinine to have to fast forward at 15 second increments just so I can get to the actual game starting.
3. Many issues using airplay streaming from the app on my iPhone to my Apple TV. Stream constantly seems to restart (from the very start of a replay, super annoying in particular with the lack of fast forward) with any interruption to the app.

Too poor to use...

Cannot watch a game. Just keeps redirecting and making me watch women’s World Cup off coverage.
The app is telling me to download itself. When I click it, it redirects me to the App Store to download the app I am using. Then goes right back to the screen I was on. Audio has been terrible in other matches. All together, if it’s not topbilled then it’s not working correctly.
Edit: thanks for reaching out with a survey Fox. I would suggest just reading the comments since the beginning of the year. It’s just a bad app. Basic functions don’t work. The consideration for the viewer is clearly disregarded. This is one of the worst apps I’ve seen or had to use to the point that I just don’t use Fox anymore to view what I’m looking for. Fox sports go was serviceable but isn’t being used anymore...?

I have both a Roku as well as AppleTV. The streaming is quite good, particularly like the 4K coverage of the World Cup fames.
However, this is the third day in a row, either device, where it asks me to sign in with my TV provider despite having signed in the day before. Is this intentional (and if so, why)?! If not, why can’t it remember my log in like every other app?
Another curious, repeat experience on the AppleTV version... if I’m trying to watch a Cup game in progress that has already started, no such luck. The wheel just keeps spinning indefinitely (or at least seemingly so as my patience wears out). I can select the restart option and watch the game from the beginning but not just join a game in progress. Works fine on the Roku version. Rebooted the AppleTV. Signed out and back in. No luck. Haven’t tried deleting and reinstalling the app yet.

Fox Sports Go app was a great app that had everything I was looking for, you could watch live games from various sports, and the best feature for me, being a 2nd shift worker was being able to replay the game that I missed due to working 2nd shift. But now, I try to watch anything live or replay on the Fox Sports Go app and it makes me go to this app which has no replay option. You pretty much just made your app useless for me. I’m confused why you are messing with the Fox Sports Go app that most of the time was flawless and user friendly and make those users go to this where replay option don’t exist and this thing isn’t user friendly in the least bit. Terribly disappointed and if I could rate this even lower, I would. Well it’s onto something else for me because this app is useless.

I never usually post reviews but I had to make an exception for this one. I’ve been watching their live sports talk shows at work daily on the Fox Sport Go app for the last 2 years. Fox is now forcing you to use this app as opposed to their other app, Fox Sports Go, which was much more user friendly, allowed you to rewind and fast forward, and most of all, would always work. Not only do I always have issues playing their live shows, but it’s extremely frustrating when I lose my place in a show and I’m forced to either restart or watch live (and skip over where I left off).
I don’t understand the switch, especially when the app is much worse than Fox Sports Go. If these issues aren’t fixed any time soon, I’ll have to make the switch back to ESPN and I’m sure they’ll be losing plenty of other long time fans of their shows.

I got the app to watch the World Cup 2018 and stay updated with the games. The app works really well and updates really fast as the game is being played along, showing you the scores seconds after on video and the hightlights right after the game. I also loved the extra info FSG would give about each country and their players.
The only thing that I wish it was possible is to live stream the games from the app. I wouldn't mind paying extra for it. You can only watch on your phone if you already have a tv cable. Which I don’t.
Above all I totally recommend it!!

This app is terrible. It’s the only app I constantly have problems streaming. If a game I want to watch is on Fox I make it a point to be at home to watch it, because I know the app won’t work. Considering the largest sporting event is taking place, one would think that the developers would have worked to improve it. I log in and all I see is a black screen. The live tv function doesn’t work. I attempt to sign in with my TV provider and it says I’m authorized to view content and nothing. I delete the app, I reinstall it I’m connected to WiFi and nothing.
Again, none of the other sports streaming apps or apps in general have this issue. This is actually the worst app I use. How unfortunate that I’ll be unable to stream the World Cup, because this app won’t work.

Developer clearly doesn’t listen to its customers

Typical television app developer. Doesn’t listen to any complaints of functionality issues. Clearly this developer spent so much time appeasing fox sports about how the app looks, they neglected to work on its function. You need perfect WiFi or cell service for this app to work properly. I have better luck walking through Brooklyn peaking into bars playing the game than I do using this app. Forget use on the metro north ! I watched maybe 10 whole minutes of Belgium Panama game. The rest of my time has been spent with fuzzy unrecognizable images. The mere fact that the developer responds to reviews and nothing has changed, shows the could care less. I’d rather rip streams off reddit than continue using this clown app. Hire a real developer fs1

Extremely disappointed

I have multiple issues. First, the app is overall just slow. By far the slowest app on my iPad. Every time I select a menu or new page I have to wait for it to load; reminds me of old dial-up internet.
Second, it crashes frequently.
Third, while trying to rewatch World Cup games, the video will load with only 20min or so of game time. The rest of the video file is either the "your event will start soon" or "coverage has concluded" screens. How can you pay so much for the rights to air the World Cup and have these kinds of technical issues. Hopefully others aren't experiencing these kinds of issues and if they are Fox shouldn't be allowed to cover one of the biggest events in the world in the future.

This App Gets a Red Card!

Fox is unreliable in both their news and their sports, I can't even get past the sign up page and haven't even seen a blade of grass yet concerning this years World Cup. They just didn't prepare enough for the surge in data they'll be getting today. The servers are flooded and everything's reduced to the speed of a snail. And of course because of this, all I can do is open the app and that's it.
To those of you at the corporate office that are hired for reading this and about to click on whatever pre written corporate excuse that placates the gullible: please don't bother leaving me one of those excuses. I know this problem will never be fixed because there's profits to be made and an issue like this is trivial so long as people still download the app and someone gets it to work on their phone.

Slow

A quick caveat: With the most recent update (oct 30) the pages in the app literally will not load. Not sure what happened with that update, but at least for me it’s made the app completely useless.
Even when it was working before the app is extremely slow as other people have indicated on their reviews. I’ve seen developer responses asking for feedback and reasons for the slowness - no idea. I’m not using the app through Facebook, I’m just using it as any normal app on my iPhone. I’m connected to great WiFi, the app has always been updated, I’m always using the current iOS, and everything else on my phone runs remarkably faster than this app.
It could be that nearly all of the substantive content are videos. It could be that many of the in game headlines seem to be auto generated. Who knows. The point is, expect to spend at least 3 minutes with the app to find and load the score you’re looking for - at least based on my 6 months-ish experience with the app.
It’s a shame too. ESPN is chasing a lot of us away with covering Steven A Smith being angry and Lavar Ball being stupid 20 hours a day. Suffice it to say that is may be an option if you’re sick of that too (see the above caveat about nonfunctionality), but this app cannot be recommended at this point.
