Rough subject matter handled well! Reading that final chapter that truly ties things together after so many books that require you get the rest of the series to get closure was a welcome change.

I loved the development of the relationship between the main characters. There are some triggers for me in this story but overall an excellent read.

I usually don’t write reviews and I have to be honest, I thought about giving up on this book after the first chapters. While the subject matter was difficult in the beginning, the story and writing captivated me and I couldn’t put the book down until I was finished.

Absolutely heartfelt and heart breaking. A true heroine.

I have no idea why this book has so many good reviews. This is not the type of fiction book I want to read and I only read up to graduation and couldn’t read anymore. The girl was supposed to be smart but she didn’t go to the police on her father, who is also a policeman. Why? It couldn’t be shame because she had no problem saying she loved the child who would be biologically her sibling and her kid. This may have all worked out in the end but the author didn’t give me enough to make me want to continue reading. I didn’t see strength in the girl because she ran from her problem instead of standing to fight and this was definitely a situation where a strong person would stand and fight. Again, she may have at the end but the handling in the beginning turned me off of the book.

I absolutely love this book and will keep reading the series. It is truly touching there is so much strength in the main character. It’s a roller coaster of emotions, it will make you smile, laugh, cry happy and sad tears. This is just the type of book I wanted to read. It’s hard to find books you never want to put down but this was one of them. So thank you for being so talented with your writing I will keep looking forward to your books.

I’m not sure what to say other than I’m in love with this story and I want to meet my own Reed and Walter, Maggie and Gene ate great too. Plus wow! I can’t believe(but I can) how lucky she was to have a teacher like April. It’s rare to have so many great people in you’re life. I know that Ivy was an inspiration for those around her but I can’t help but think about who inspired her. Everyone has their own personal muse. I want to a writer as great as you(Brenda/Mrs. Rothert) and Walter/Ivy I love all the messages and lessons told in this book I am always surprised by how much I love your books when I hate ebooks and I hate romance stories. But you know what i love to say, hate is just the other side of love. Thank you, maybe one day you’ll hear about my children fantasy/scifi stories when I finish writing for those characters. :) Thanks!!!-ET

I’m probably not one of your normal readers since I am a eighty year old male. My wife of fifty-seven years passed away in Feb of this year from Dementia, and I were and are avid readers.

For me to write a book review, the book has to be exceptional, which this book was. deep Down was well written and it’s flow was fantastic. I assume, due to the nature of the offense committed, that this was a very difficult subject to write about.

I loved the characters in this story! The subject is one you don’t often read about. I think this would be an inspiration for anyone going through something like this or similar. Definitely worth the read.

Survive and thrive

I'm a survivor of sexual assault. This book helped me realize I'm not alone in my feelings and struggles. Seeing Ivy overcome her struggles helped me relate to the struggles I've over come. Thank you.

A new author for me. A well written book about a very unexpected,difficult, and disturbing subject. A sweet, sweet story of caring strangers who become a family to a young woman and her little boy. A young woman who finds the inner strength to make a good life for herself and her son. A man who insists on loving her and her son and never giving up. A story of survival. I will look for more books by this author.

Engaging story, tough subject matter. A little predictable in the romance at times, but that's okay. Noted a few typos. It was free but worth paying for.

A small story of length a grand story of emotion. First author I have read who could develop a character in one paragraph and form the readers interest in the character before the storyline in developed. A journey I enjoyed from beginning to end.

Tough subject addressed well in this book. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of the brothers.
