Okay I love this book but DEFINITELY the most heartbreaking of the series!

I’m reading this now and love it just as much as the first two!

What happens to the personal data transferred from the EU to Japan?

Japan has recently modernised its data protection law applicable to the private sector, bringing it closer to the European standards. Following the negw” app

otiations with the European Commission, the Japanese Government has adopted the Supplementary Rules applicable only to data transferred from the EU, thereby filling the remaining gaps.

As a result, whenever the data travel from the EU to Japan, the same guarantees as those under the EU law will continue to apply.

data is only processed for the purpose for which they were legally transferred from the EU, unless EU citizens give their consent for processing for a different purpose;

data is processed to the extent necessary for this purpose;

data is kept for no longer than necessary for this purpose;

the data is kept accurate and up to date;

data is never further transferred to individuals or entities abroad which do not guarantee an adequate level of protection, unless consent of EU individuals is obtained for such a transfer;

the processing should be done under appropriate security measures, protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage;

additional safeguards apply to sensitive data (data revealing health conditions, sexual orientation, political opinions etc.).

EU individuals will benefit from rights equivalent to those that they have in the EU. Notably, everyone will have the right to:

be informed about the purpose of processing of his or her personal data; request access to his or her personal data;

request correction or deletion of his or her personal data if they are inaccurate.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Similarly as in the EU, if these safeguards and rights are not respected, there are enforcement mechanisms, in terms of both oversight by an independent public authority and avenues for judicial and administrative redress. This includes:

an independent supervisory authority;

In Japan, the independent data protection authority (PPC) can investigate about the processing of personal data by Japanese business operators and, if it finds irregularities, can issue binding decisions.

possibilities to obtain redress;

If an EU individual is not happy with how his or her data have been processed or his or her rights respected, he or she can:

• Have recourse to extensive mediation possibilities existing in Japan;

• Complain to the Japanese data protection authority (PPC) to obtain redress via a binding decision of the latter;

• File a civil action with a Japanese court to obtain damages or injunction.

Amazing read couldn’t put it down! Loved everything about this whole series. All the love and heartbreak thru the whole series starting with book 1 to book 4 I just loved it.

This is the saddest book out of all of them, but the author is so talented. My favorite series for sure!!!

This series is WONDERFUL. This has to be the saddest book out of the 4, not including before. I love the characters so fricken much!! This are amazing. Tess and Hardin are made for one another. I remember reading this book super late at night that I will able to finish it in like 3 or 4 days. Once you start reading this you won’t want to stop. My parents would always be like “Stop reading and start doing homework”. That is how obsessed I was with this boom when I read it. I still mad that just yesterday I had my alarm set at 5:58am to see the trailer at 6:00am!!! LOL. Alright this book and series is everything I truly enjoy and hope you too!! 💜 xx

Even after having previously read the Wattpad version, I was still, once again, glued to this book, to this story. Anna Todd is an amazing writer. You will fall in love with her characters and feel their emotions as if you were living their lives. I can't stop reading her books quickly, but I want to slow down because I don't want them to ever end. It is unfathomable that After was her first published book. She is so talented. Please Anna, keep writing! I want more!

This series has to be my all time favorite. I absolutely love it, the drama, hessa. Just everything! You pulled me in on the very first word. I just fell in love. You're an amazing writer.

I absolutely loooove this series. I literally can not put the books down. However, there is one thing that is really bothering me, especially with the third book in particular... The amount of typos. There are many in each book, and it's deterring from the genuinely amazing writing of the series. I'm really hoping they issue an update and fix them.

okay so this is one of the best series i've ever read. i never read. its not my thing. but as soon as i read the first few pages of the first book i was instantly hooked. i reccomend this book to literally everyone. even if you're not a directioner its still a well written love story. it had me up till 7 am reading! This series could've been finished with the second book, but of course the author had to drag it out leaving her only solution of a plot was continuous fighting, breaking up and having sex to solve their problems. The good reviews are by children with no idea of what proper literature is. This is just awful. Save your money. I pray for the people who praise it.

Such an addicting book series I couldn't put it down and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I read a lot and this is probably my favorite series ever. You get so attached and start reading right when you wake up and then find yourself still reading at 3AM. When it ended, it was depressing because I needed to know every single thing that happened with their life after... haha. By the way, this was originally a fan fiction for one direction. I didn't even like one direction before this, at all, but now I do. You can feel their heartbreaks, you can feel their love, and I love this book for that. It shows real problems and how love isn't perfect. So you definitely should read this the second it comes out.
