Description

Nothing in this world is permanent. Friends, lovers, even family, can all disappear in the blink of an eye. Without these anchors, it’s easy to find yourself drifting.
Jason Grant doesn't have much, aside from a beat-up old guitar and knack for getting kicked out of foster homes. His latest placement is set to be just another in a long line of failures. Then he meets Caesar Hubbard, a handsome guy who lives down the hall. For the first time in his life, Jason wants to stay, which means learning to be part of a family, and not letting his feelings--or his actions--ruin his only real chance of finding love.
Something Like Spring introduces a new character to the Something Like... series, one with a troubled past and an equally turbulent future. Jason must traverse a winding road fraught with emotional conflicts and tough decisions... a road that might just lead to a certain couple in Austin.
Each Something Like... book follows a different gay character on their quest for love. Central to the plot is the troubled relationship between Ben and Tim, high school sweethearts who continue to meet at different stages of their lives, their chemistry changing with each encounter. Surrounding them is a wealth of friends and enemies, each with their own story, resulting in an immersive universe filled with optimism and hope, heartbreak and healing. While the series doesn't shy away from sexual content, it also focuses deeply on emotion, promising an experience that will stay with you long after the final page is turned.

A Perfect Ending

This truly is a wonderful culmination to the “Seasons” sagas. All the characters, big or small, from the likes of Marcello or Michelle to Ben and Tim, make you feel like you are part of a gigantic family- a family of love.
Jay, thank you, for writing about a love, a subject which can be so beautiful and cruel.
It’s hard saying goodbye to a sage such as this one, but it makes this series that much more special.

Phenomenal

All I can say after finishing the series is quote Jamie Craig.
That moment when you realize you finish a book look around and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives... As though you didn't just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.

HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!!!

I have read every book of this series and have yet to be disappointed with a single page or even a paragraph of Bell's writing!! I find the characters to be both engaging and relatable. I highly recommend this book to anyone be they straight or LGBTQA or anything else in between. Bell reminds us through these stories that love knows no shape, size, color or race but rather that love is beyond human control and is a necessary emotion. I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next! Yaaasssssssssss

Reasons

I don’t write a lot of reviews so bear with me here.
I have to say I just loved it so much. I loved all the series, and this one is no exception. I love it. Why? Because intricate story lines and character’s personalities and everything is so well interwined to become one, and that’s not easy to find. Nothing went all cold at the end, everything had that distinctive closure that I had hoped for when I was reading thru the book. And the descriptions, the way that you can just see the scene in your mind when you’re reading it, God I might become the most annoying fan Jay Bell has ever had.
Long story short, if you’re planning on finding a very good romantic book, and it doesn’t matter you’re straight or gay, this is it for you. And I’m very glad I have this on my ipad, and I’m off to buy the posters.

Incredible.

I can't even begin to describe how close I am holding this book to my heart. I have been a Jay Bell fan since Something like Summer was released and while I have though the 2nd and 3rd book was good, Something like Spring is by far, hands down, my upmost favorite book of the series but probably ever. Not only is it a page turner but it has all of your favorite actors returning and I felt like I was apart of each page, physically watching each scene play out and I just wanted to squeal at each moment. The character growth is incredible and the storyline is gripping and just full of heart. I laughed. I cried. I melted and above all, I loved. I pray to god he brings all these characters back to continue their story but I was left just wanting so much more even though it ended so beautifully. Way to go Jay. I am your biggest fan and am privileged to have these books on my shelf and digitally.

Why

There could be a thousand different reasons behind giving this book 5/5 but most importantly is the fact that if you followed the story from day one, it has such a meaningful story underneath. The Seasons Series is just four main guys and their quest to be at peace. Each one troubled, but in trouble they know that at the end of the day there's always going to be something meaningful there. So do yourself a favor, pick this book up for leisure. Don't stop until you finish. If your new then welcome and if you know the other books enjoy, because what this book packs is so unbelievably worth every second.
