Introduction:
Perseus is the first book in the Early Myths collection, a series of children's picture books about Greek myth. Each book tells the tale of a character from mythology and brings the story to life through the inspiration from art and literature. The books are aimed at 4 to 10 year olds and contain multimedia features such as sounds, narrator audio and slideshows. The books are beautifully illustrated, easy to read or listen to.
Summary:
Perseus is the tale of a young boy who has to flee his home with his mother and grows up in a foreign land. To prove his worth he claims he can take on the magical Gorgon, Medusa. With the help of the gods he flies across the lands and faces his greatest challenge, rescuing princess Andromeda along his journey and coming home to claim his throne.

I can see why this won the award- great use of ounds, images and narration. A lot of fun and an awesome way to teach kids about old myths!

Pictures are great

My kids love this- they play with the sounds when I read the tale. Lovely care and attention to the Greek story. I recommend it.
