When Crickets Cry
Loved, loved, LOVED this heartwarming book from the first page to the last. I didn't want it to end. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good tearjerker. Can't wait to start another Charles Martin book. He is quickly becoming my new favorite author.

My favorite Charles Martin book so far
I have read a few of Charles Martin's books so far. I have enjoyed everyone. However, this one- When Crickets Cry- is my absolute favorite! I fell in love with them from the first page. They came alive for me. I felt their joy and heartache. A must read!

A beach read. Narrator was full of himself and hilariously false in whatever humility he tried to project. Contrived and predictable. Would make a better movie.

Page turner
I enjoyed how the book built up and then eventually you just couldn't put it down. The characters were great and made you want to meet each one of them. Very good writing.

Terrible Copy of a Great Book
I purchased a download of this book, one of my favorites from a favorite modern author, to keep on my iPod for frequent reading. But the text is so filled with errors that the story is almost ruined for me. I should've just bought a copy of the actual book to keep on my shelf - would've been a lot cheaper, too! I didn't have this problem with my Kindle purchases ... Will certainly not be purchasing another high-priced low-quality "book" here.
