I just finished taking the AP Calculus BC course as well as the AP test and I can say that this book prepared me very well. The lectures cover every possible topic that will show up on the AP test and do a very good job of ensuring that you understand the content. There was not a single question on the AP test that the lectures in this book did not cover. I strongly recommend it for anyone looking to be successful in Calculus!

Ms. Korsunsky’s power point presentations are phenomenal in every aspect. Not only do they go over the exact type of questions asked on the AP exam, but they also include in-depth explanations of the quickest way to solve these problems. They also include many diagrams and examples to really explain the fundamental concepts that are neccesaary for the subsequent set of advanced problems. After I practiced watching these lectures, my understanding has deepened and my speed at answering the questions has risen greatly. Everything in this book is very organized, and the progression of content complexity is perfect as well; before I knew it, I was able to understand and solve problems with topics that I had never even heard of before. Ms. Korsunsky explains each concept very clearly, with many nice visuals and diagrams, and utilizes a variety of examples to help students apply these concepts to a variety of problems. Each tap brings out the next line or equation, so you can absorb the information one line or equation at a time. This book is neatly and clearly organized, with plenty of colorful and cute cartoons/animations that make math a lot more fun than expected. For example, Mrs. Korsunsky's "Happy and Sad Face method" for learning concavity and the Second Derivative Test is very easy to remember and makes learning derivatives extremely clear and logical, especially for first time calculus learners.

I also really enjoy how the lectures are self-directed, and each individual user can determine the pace at which he or she learns. When going through the PowerPoints, students can click through the slides however quickly or slowly they like and spend more time on the topics they find most difficult. Most of the slides are accompanied by interactive graphs or diagrams that illustrate the concepts, which I find crucial to successfully learning calculus.

Besides the academic aspect of this book, AP Calculus Interactive Lectures Vol. 1 is also a testament to the impressive passion and commitment to education and mathematics that Mrs. Rita Korsunsky possesses.
