I found this to be so much more enjoyable than I was expecting. I really liked it and got all caught up in the goings on of this family. I don't know how I missed reading it when I was growing up. I think the storyline was entertaining while also having several morals. After reading, I was left with a good feeling.

I laughed and cried way too much. Beautifully written, and I can't help but wish I was part of the March family. But feel as if I lived through every part of the story with them.

I did so enjoy this delightful book. Never read it in my youth. So glad that I got too. Very winning.

So very wonderful !! This is what our young people are missing - perfect read for family story night. Only wish I'd have read it so long ago- would have thought me a great deal of basic relational boundaries as well as understanding of the human spirit - would have saved my dear ones so much pain.

A delightful book. I had read it as a child but that was so many, many years ago it was like new. At first it seemed rather slow and boring, and so old fashioned and I wondered why I had loved it when I was young.....and then I got into it. I loved it. And I think as an older adult I saw many things I overlooked as a child. More depth to it. The old classics are well worth reading again!!

Hate it so bad

I was going to give it 3.5 but I rounded because there is no such option and 3 is to harsh... I mean it is a good book, well written, but I have a feeling that it is just a classic because it was written 200 years ago. Just a regular romance book, nothing special.The language is really good, and I enjoyed reading it.

This is one of my absolute favourite books of all time! It is a must-read that people across the world can relate to.

ITS WAY TOO LONG there were way too many pages and its only about women why is it so long

Personally, being at a very young age, even I can enjoy this book even while surrounded by all of the games and other fun, brain-demolishing items. This is a book for everybody. Though it may be long, it never loses a reader's attention. In my opinion, this is one of the best books to read, since it is all-around. At first, there is adventure and happiness. Then there is sadness and death. Finally, romance and more joy come into play.

To all of the illiterate people who have no idea how great this novel is: You either do not like books at all, or you are a desolate person. I suggest this book to anyone who has patience to see its outcome.

I will never be so proud and happy of anything as this beautiful book that describes the life of The March family. From dear old Mr. March to little dear Amy. I've read this book five times already and never seem to become tired of it😍💙📕

Excitement: A word Louisa May Alcott did’t know the meaning of.

At first I really didn't get it, but as the story went on it got better. All of the characters are very in depth and intuitive, and the story is extremely through.

I love this book! It was so interesting and addictive I read the whole book in a week or two. My favorite character is Jo. This book has two parts. Part one was fun to read. Four girls living happily together everyday. Part two had a different air to it. More melancholy, mature, more "lovering" as the author calls it. But I loved it just as much as the first. It made me cry when Beth... well, I will let you read the book. I highly recommend it!

It is impossible to count how many times I have read this book over five decades. I am deeply moved every single time. There is purity in the story of Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. While a tad thick with sentiment and roses, the characters are true to the story and the lessons offered are as gentle as Beth’s touch, as deft as Marmee’s, wise as Jo’s and rich with dignity and purpose. There are a few three-hankie moments but, more importantly, there are moments when one is part of an intimate understanding between friends and lovers, participant in life’s most common journeys and left feeling as if goodness will be enough. When you are done, find Little Men and Jo’s Boys.

I loved it it is my most favorite book and the best I've read

From the beginning I loved the book. Every point I stopped to take a break I couldn't help but to think about it. It's one of the best books I've read and I have read a lot of books.

I wish I hadn't waited 60 years before reading this! It's delightful, engaging and a gentle teacher.

I really like this book

This is amazing, and this is from an 11 yr old, my fave girl is Jo, just like me!!

I thought this book was completely outstanding! Just about every page there was different emotions. Your excited, sad, confused, happy and many more emotions. I will have my children read it one day. Completely different and emotional. I give it a 5!

Not a good book for men

This is such a good book- especially for grades 6 and up!!!

This book is great but it's sad when Beth dies. I cried. Trying to get my BFF to read this book. She is 35 and so I am cause we were friends since we were 6 so that's 29 years of friendship. Sorta like the little women minus the fact we aren't sisters. U must read Rick Riordan.

All I can say is if you are a Christian read Louisa May Alcott's books every day.

An uplifting read, supports the divinity and importance of family life with humor and elegance. I feel every woman should read this book and reflect on the type of impact she wants to leave upon the world.

The first time I read this book was in the 1st grade when I stumbled on a copy on my parent's bookshelf. Since then I have read and reread this book and each time I fall in love with it more and more. This book describes the lives of women in such a relatable way and is beautifully written.

this is one of the best books I have ever read even though it is a long one or is very good. at the end it is very touching with the girls talking to one another. And when jo refused Laurie I thought that he was gonna die. Then with Amy in France and all. He just fell in love but didnt realize it. And the part with Jo and Mr.Baher it was also touching and chapter 46 where Jo cried because he was leaving and he said that it was good and he proposed to her in the rain. And then when aunt march died and left plumfield to Jo that was nice. this book deserves all five stars

I read this book for the first time in second grade, seen the movie countless times and have reread the book some years later. This book demonstrates love, loss, romance,

and hope and it is a book that I will cherish for eternity. It will always have a place on a bookshelf in my home.

My new favorite book. Alcott gives vivid descriptions of characters and their bonds which makes Little Women seem more relatable, even though it was written in the 1800s. Little Women delved into the personal world of four sisters and their family and friends, allowing Alcott to present a story from different points of view and express every emotion, making this book even better. It's long, but definitely worth the read!

An amazing book, I didn't know that a married life existed for the sisters. I've only read the abridged versions.

This absolutely timeless book has been so enjoyable and yet, fairly discreetly, taught me so much about my own life. I am sure it will do the same for any others who read it willingly and openly.

In the year 1951 as a young lad of ten years, I recall my 21 year old sister saying she was reading Little Women. Whether in 1951 or 2013, young boys are not generally interested in reading novels, they have other pursuits and interests; mine were not unique.

I am now 71 years of age and wish I had read this wonderful story at an earlier age as did my beloved sister. She incorporated the simple, wise approach to life and marriage as put forth by the author; had a few days short of fifty years marital bliss, and a son as princely as his father.

I suspect Little Women touches the unknown, indescribable humanity in all of us. The author accurately describes the feelings I have for my wife much better than I could hope.

Love this story! I can read it again & again!!

O.k., so I had a paper copy of this and at first I was a little confused with how the settings changed. Then I finally started to get it around page 30-35. So then I got really into the story, but then I lost the book! Now I was looking at classic books, and tad uh... Here it is! I am so happy!

Life changing, I encourage all girls to read it what ever age. It's a great book filled with words of luxury. it always encourages me to do my best, my favorite character is Jo. The story is so amazing, I lived it. I felt as if I was in it. It's amazing. I'm only in third grade and I enjoyed it so much. I want to read it again though only more than half way done, I want it to never end. I feel as if I could read it till the end of the world. Though in a very sad chapter Beth has scarlet fever and their father who was in the army was gravely ill. Though I still say it's the best book in the world.

Such a old and good story, everyone should read it at least once :)

I read it the first time as a Pre-teen nearly 50 years ago and can still remember the enchantment. Through the years, I have occasionally revisited Alcott's stories and find them still as powerful. In them, healthy attitudes about everyday life resonate within captivating storylines and characters. I can't wait to introduce "Little Women" to my granddaughter in a few more years.

Little Women is a wonderful timeless story.

Little Women is a great book I think this is one of the best books I have ever read.

I read this in my youth and enjoyed it as an adult. The only complaint was that everybody was just so sweet. I hope soon to read Little Men.

My mom bought me this book when I was ten but I never read it for some I'd reason. But I'm glad I waited this 15 years, while I would have loved it then, I have a greater vessel to enjoy and admire it now, and I certainly have :)
