Description

Embraced by Oprah, the #1 New York Times bestselling guide that explains the connection between eating and emotion from Geneen Roth—noted authority on mindful eating.
No matter how sophisticated or wealthy or broke or enlightened you are, how you eat tells all.
After three decades of studying, teaching, and writing about our compulsions with food, bestselling author Geneen Roth adds a powerful new dimension to her work in Women Food and God. She begins with her most basic concept: the way you eat is inseparable from your core beliefs about being alive. Your relationship with food is an exact mirror of your feelings about love, fear, anger, meaning, transformation and, yes, even God.
A timeless and seminal work, Women Food and God shows how going beyond the food and the feelings takes you deeper into realms of spirit and soul—to the bright center of your own life.

I liked her on Super Soul Sunday, but the book is a waste of money.

Great book, not very well written with sentence structure, but amazing message. A must-read for sure.

This book drew my attention from the simplicity of the cover and title & little did I know it's principles were also simple with positive impact. I'm not one to write reviews but this deserves a good one. I found myself relating to the entire book, and there is a piece of that book, maybe more than one piece, that everyone can relate to. It's a quick read, hard to put down, and one I'd strongly recommend. It should make you think a little deeper as well as more reasonably. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful resource for layering back to the core of food issues. This is true hope with action steps.

Very insightful and helpful. A new and drastically different way to look at eating, food, and really experiencing the meals.

Very disappointing; title especially misleading because I expected a Christian angle but doubt author knows God. Otherwise, way too many words to make a point, doubt author has proper credentials to mess with peoples minds, and could not put much faith in her methods. "Nuggets of wisdom" can be counted on one hand.

I've battled my weight for as long as I can remember. This book has opened areas of exploration that I never knew existed. I am so grateful to Geneen for sharing her years of life experiences with us. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand and truly know themselves. Thanks to Oprah for finding this treasures in this book and sharing it with us. I can finally look forward to the rest of my life and with these tools free myself from the past.
