Is Nick Allen a troublemaker?
He really just likes to liven things up at school -- and he's always had plenty of great ideas. When Nick learns some interesting information about how words are created, suddenly he's got the inspiration for his best plan ever...the frindle. Who says a pen has to be called a pen? Why not call it a frindle? Things begin innocently enough as Nick gets his friends to use the new word. Then other people in town start saying frindle. Soon the school is in an uproar, and Nick has become a local hero. His teacher wants Nick to put an end to all this nonsense, but the funny thing is frindle doesn't belong to Nick anymore. The new word is spreading across the country, and there's nothing Nick can do to stop it.

Perfect
This book is the perfect one you've been waiting for. This book has a whole lot of excitement and is completely based off of a classroom of kids and a grumpy teacher. Allan comes up with this new word, frindle and then with his mischievous friends tells the world about this amazing new word. The kids are pleased but Allan's teacher isn't. She absolutely loves the dictionary and sticks with it by making the kids write sentences " I am writing this punishment with a pen". Will Allan's new word get out? How will he and his friends deal with the consequences?, and what will happen to the word? Read the book to find out!!

Book Is Great, But iBook Formatting Is Terrible
This is a great story. I've used it in my classroom and in summer book clubs.
I should have stuck with the kindle app for this one because the formatting in the iBook is terrible. There are half sentences on each page at least up to chapter 3. Super annoying for not only me, but beginning readers, too.

A funny and heart warming novel showing the connections between an obsolete teacher and a trouble of a student! Children should learn from this novel because of the exact connections between a teacher and a student who needs help being "good" during classroom time. Therefore I rated this novel 5 stars because of the distinguishing detail and storyline.

This is a great story that was recommend by Jim Trelease several years ago. As a 4th grade teacher, I read this to my students every year. This is the first year I read it to them on my iPad. I found several errors in the e-book version, which is a bit annoying.
This book is a must read for 4th-5th grade students.

Frindle is a really good book.It's a fun story about a boy that makes up a new word and everyone loves it exept the school. I love the book so I think you should get it right now!

This book was one of the required books for my Children's Literature class. At first I was skeptical, but it is an absolutely enchanting, wonderful book for all teachers and students. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be a teacher, or just for anyone who has a creative spirit and dares to be original.
