This was my fave book, seriously. I couldn't put it down. This book combines the magic and the romance to make an intertwining dance of passion, desire, and hope.

But those people who say it's a copy of twilight seriously I think this series was out before twilight even started. So if anything twilight copied this. The basic storyline was an ok concept, but the story itself was strangely paced. The main character wakes up from an accident with powers. Quick move to LA in a dream house with her no-rules aunt. At school she dresses to be inconspicuous despite her own hotness. A mysterious hot guy begins pursuing her and does magic tricks. He remains mysterious but is suddenly her boyfriend, then she's contemplating "going all the way" with him without knowing his phone number or why some hot crazy girl keeps showing up. Just keeps getting weirder until a few big tell-all speeches from hot boyfriend and crazy girl. Everything happens abruptly. Characters are very one-dimensional. I'm not compelled to read any of the other books in the series.

This book definitely made it to my top ten must reads for teens! I'm a hardcore Twihard and TVD fan! I have read the Twilight and vampire diaries series, and I love them so much! After reading these two series, I didn't know what to read next! I picked up this book and I was immediately sucked into the story! Summit Entertainment confirmed that they were going to make this series into a movie, so READ IT NOW!!!

OK so I totally take back my first comment which was 5 stars and if I could I would give this book a lower score then 1 star. I hate to be a hater but with series it's REALLY hard not to be. This first book isn't all that bad but it still was pretty horrible. As the series goes on it gets a lot worse. I hate the main character , Ever, who is self-centered whiny idiot that can't really seem to take people's advice. And it is a total rip off of vampires I mean "immortals" really? And also they drink RED immortal juice. Out of all the colors this writer could've picked it just happened to be red!!! I could keep on going for a very long time put I think I'll stop here

Kept you captivated. Always looking for more. Can't wait to read more from her

Okay so this review may be a little long, but I have some time to kill, so why not write it! First, I need to say: READ THIS BOOK, AND THE REST OF THE SERIES TOO!

Okay I went to my local public library, and I saw this book sitting on top of one of the shelves. Of course the front cover intrigued me to walk over there. I look and I kind of just say, "this seems kind of boring, it's way too small." But I picked it up anyway and checked it out. Of course, before I knew it, I was buried in this book. I didn't stop reading until I had finished. I stayed up ALL NIGHT! And I was only nine or ten when I first read it. Now I'm twelve, and I've read the whole series, and am a big fan of Alyson! She is so nice, and I wish I could get my books signed, but, I live in a small town. So I will have to wait. But anyways, I read the second book a month or two later (it was already out) and I finished it! But of course, this was 2009 or 2010. And I was waiting for the third book to come out. Read it. Loved it! Then waited for the fourth, then the fifth, then finally the sixth. (Or were there seven?) I think there was six. But I read them all, and have the second, third, and fourth book in the spin off series. I was devastated that the immortals was over, but I'm happy about the spin off and soul seekers, and I'm trying to find a way to buy some of her older books! READ THIS BOOK! And never judge a book by its cover!

It was my favorite book :) I loved it. I can't wait to read the rest of the books! It's WAY better then Twilight in my opinion, I thought Damen was a vampire at first then he told Ever that he was an immortal. :) It was a great book and I think others will like it too. ♥

One of my favorite books I like to reread a lot. This is such a great series. Those just starting it, the second book is Blue Moon, and it gets even better. I love this author. She has written remarkable books. I would deffinately recommend this book and series to anyone interested in fiction fantasy books.

I'm not a big reader so if I finish a book, you know it was good. I loved this book! I read it in 2 days. I don't think I've ever read a book that fast. Yes, the author repeats things a lot. For instance, "I pressed my lips." other then that the book is fantastic. It's not just for teens. I'm 34 and still loved the book. It is kind of like Twilight, but not. I also loved twilight. If you want a quick interesting read, this book is for you.

Some parts were awesome and amazingly written, but it seemed to me that it could have been put together with a little more thought.

I was almost done with the book and I couldn't even finish it. It was too detailed and not developed enough. I stopped when I read there was a River of Forgetfulness.... Srsly?

But my MAJOR complaint is that it ha the same dilemma as the FALLEN SERIES. Read those instead.

this book was one of the best series have ever read i swear i literally counted Down the days till the Last book came out and every time i saw a barnse and nobles i literally screamed. these books are that good. Also for 3 dollars the whole series were more than 30 mocks since they were like 5 book. but my point is that this series is amazing

When I first started the iBook experience, I was worried I wouldn't find any books I was interested in due to the stores low selection of books. However, that is another story all together. When finding this novel on my iPad, I was immediately interested in the idea of the story. However, I know that this isn't everyone's kind of story, so I'm not expecting everyone to enjoy it. This story did has it's low

points, as they all do, but overall, it was a great read. It took me about three weeks to read, but, if I didn't have school, sleep, and have other things to do, I probably would've finished it in a few days. There are lots of plot twists and cliffhangers. If you decide to get this novel, I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did.

This book was absolutley amazing. You need to read it. I loved it so much i couldn't put my phone down. I even cried at the part where Ever let go to her sister. Just....wow. The ending was phenomanal. It warmed my heart. I LOVE THIS BOOK.

It took me a little while to really get into it, but that could be for multiple reasons not related to the book itself. Once I really got some time to dedicate to it I enjoyed it. As far as it being childish, it IS a children's/young adult book. Gotta keep that in mind.

Love a good fantasy w/ love story

Dude i didn't like this book it's very slow paced and the characters have no substance whatsoever I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. If it helps I'm a 16 yr old girl.

I'm sure there are people that enjoyed this book, but I wasn't one of them. It has so much potential but something was missing. I haven't made up my mind as to whether or not I would even read the second book.

I enjoyed reading this book. By the time I had finished the first chapter I was in love. The characters are very real. And I could easily find myself sympathizing with Ever's character. It is an easy quick read. I could barely put it down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. If you are looking for a fun relaxing read, then read this!

Great book. Both my 12 year old and I read it. It seemed like the start of the chapters dragged a little, but it always got interesting towards the end and kept us reading on. Definitely buying the next book, finally I found a book my daughter wanted to read!

Unnerving replica of Twilight. If you enjoyed Twilight, this would be for you. But if you hate seeing your favorite authors being ripped off, STAY BACK. I wasted my time and did not have any motivation to finish the book.

I did like it but one thing I noticed was it was supposed to be a 'childrens' book but it had a lot of language....also it seemed like it was repeating itself time after time. Damen also seemed somewhat like Edward from the Twilight series...but overall, it was an okay book.

Evermore was an okay read. I felt like I was on a repeat wash cycle. Yes I want you. No I don't want you. That was a bit annoying. But I do like Damen even if he did seem like another Edward. It was not bad. I just expected more. Give it a try though.

I have read all the books in the immortal series, well; all of them up until night star, and I'm waiting for the last one to be released. I really enjoyed these books, the story is good,different than other series, a little slow at times but in general I think the series is pretty good.

This was a great book. If you've been looking for a good book to read, (exspecially if you loved the twilight books) then you should read this book. It's not about vampires, but close it's about immortality and life after death. It will definitly draw you into another world. I Read the whole book in two days.
