One of the few books that have a impact of what the characters do.

This is easily one of the best books I've ever read! The whole series is amazing. It combines action, adventure, si-fi, and a touch of X-Men for good measure. If you are looking for a good book with plot twists and is the exact definition of a page turner; these books are right for you! The kids don't always use the best language and a lot of things won't be explained in this book, but it's worth it to read the series!😃

I love this series so much. I started out reading the sample on iBooks and I was suddenly addicted. I went straight to the book store to get the book and now I’m on the 4th book. In love!!!! They should definitely make a movie series.

I love the Gone novels they are the best books I've ever read I'm on the last book I Cant stop reading the series until I know what happens in the end. I love the gone novels I hope they make a movie out of it but the book will always be better. read the first book and you won't want to stop. I love Sam and Astrid, but Brianna's my favorite

If you can keep track of more than a handful of characters, and the constant changes in scenes, this book is for you. I have read almost every Distopian novel and series that exists, including hunger games, the uglies, the giver series, the delirium series, the unwind series, the declaration series, the maze runner series, the lux series, and many more. This novel left me turning pages at rapid pace, and had so many twists and turns I couldn't predict what would happen next, or how it would end. From character development, to a deep and twisting plot, this book will not let you down. You fall in love with some characters while loathing others, but that is what a great book does, it makes you feel something.

I will be reading the other 5 books in the series, and will update my review as I finish each book. If you are looking for an interesting book with a completely new idea in Distopian literature, I suggest you read this book next. But be warned, you'll get hooked on the series!

This book actually messed me up it was so good.

Awesome book! One that I will read over and over. I'm only on Lies but I love this series! It's so exciting. 💜💜 Makes me want to sit down and never get up. I love the different POVs and how he's not afraid to kill off characters. A+!

I have read the whole series and this book is by far the best book I have ever read I got so into the book if be at school and be told to do something but not even notice till someone tapped me and told me to get up so I want to say GOOD JOB

WOW AMAZING

Very well thought out and exciting. The idea of everyone disappearing if they were 15 or older is, in my opinion, very original. Michael Grant is an awesome writer who improves the series with each book( even though later books are kind of awkward). I love this series and wish it had a sequel series. I am a huge fan. Loved the book. Thanks.

Great read/must read whole series

I have read all of the books in this series and I can honestly say that Gone is the least enjoyable book out of all of them, and that is NOT a bad thing! I absolutely hate reading and the Gone series are one of the few series that I cannot put down. Simply put, Gone is amazing and the books in the series only get better. If you have not read this book already, then you need to buy it at once and read it!

This first installment of the 6 part series is pretty good, but once u get to book three and the others these books get really inappropriate! As a teen I found them very offensive! Why do all teen books have to be filled with gore and sexual content?!

I couldn't put it down. It has a riveting plot that keeps you asking question after question... and please, this is the first book in the series; it is a SERIES for a reason. I don't want all my questions to be answered by the end of book 1. That is what makes you want to read the books... so don't be dissatisfied when all your questions aren't answered.

This was one of the best books I have ever read. I started reading this on the car ride on the way to school and read on till the early morning. This book is so good that you will stay up late reading it. The story is written so smoothly that story seems to flow of the page. For those of you who are deciding if they should get it or not, this is a MUST BUY!!!!!!!

Wickedly good. To the person complaining that the author didn't explain anything about the wall or why mutations started… it's called your imagination. Use it.

Keeps me on the edge every second of the way till the very end. I'll be going on to the next book (Hunger) and am excited for Grant to release the next and last installment of the Gone series Light which should come out by next year in the very beginning of April. Very good book, 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It was a very interesting book one thing that I did like about it was that it was a mystery so if you like mysteries it was a mystery from the beginning. The only bad thing about it was that it did not tell the end of the book so you don't know the end of the book so that is disappointing! But otherwise I would recommend it to anyone high school and up!

I loved this book and the whole series. It's a must read

This was a riveting book with many interesting plot twists. The concept is interesting, but the author has obviously not entirely thought this through.

Why did the barrier form? Why did the kids disappear on their 16th birthdays? Why do they have powers? Why are some animals mutating?

These were major issues that were never resolved.

I was also disappointed in the language that was used. I understand that the author wanted the kids to sound like teenagers, but there were times that the author used this tone when describing what was going on. I felt that this was unnecessary and deteriorated from the quality of the story. Sometimes it even distracted me from what was happening.

The last thing that bothered me in this story was the "bullies." it seems unlikely to me that a fifteen year old high school student would be so filled with hate and lust for power that he would kill and manipulate other children. I don't think that the author provided enough motives for his actions. The best explanation that we get is that he wanted to kill Sam before he disappeared (but he was almost positive he wasn't going to disappear anyways, right?).

If you want a good action story and don't mind a flawed plot, then this is for you. Otherwise I would find a different book and save a couple of dollars.

I was disappointed in the book. The author did not go into detail of why everyone over 16 disappeared!. And why these kids and had all the strange powers or the animals changing?. And what was the big wall enclosing them in?

I didn't like reading but then this book came and I could not put it down my parents even yelled at me!!

Well as you can see above, I'm completely infatuated with this series. This first book is a great and powerful start to this series. Its definitely a ten if i could put that many stars. (would not recommend this book to those under 12 if they want to continue the series)

I read a lot of books and this is one of my favorites ,it is good for boys and girls. There's suspence,romance,funny parts, it always keeps you on your toes. I often find myself daydreaming about this book .they are long which is good because I read very fast and this took me a while. It is like the hunger games in a way. I sooooooo recommend this book to any age. There is no inappropriate content. I love Sam and Astrid together!!!!

A friend recommended this book to me and at first I was a bit skeptical thinking it was going to be just a kids book. However as I starting reading it I was really drawn in with the story and by the characters. I really appreciate when the author creates very strong yet sometimes vulnerable characters and plots which are not always solved in a neat and tidy way. That's how life is sometimes. Overall, I found myself 'Breezing' through this book in a few days and then immediately picking up the "Hunger". Guess I am stuck in the FAYZ for a bit :)

This book was great. I started reading it and when i thought that I'd only read a bit, I had read to page 28. It is filled with wonderful detail and suspense. It will always keep you guessing.

I suggest this book to people who loves the imagination of being free with superhuman abilities. this book is a mix of Lord of the Flies and xmen... although with young teens and children of course. can't wait to read Hunger!

If I had to chose one novel to read the rest of my life I would hands down pick Gone. Michael Grant keeps you hooked with characters that you relate and feel for and surprising plot twists. From the second you start reading you won't be able to stop. The only bad thing about this book is I haven't slept in weeks!

I love this series. I was reading plague with a summer-cold. I freaked when I started coughing and felt a mosquito bite.

Next to the hunger games series there's no better choice for a scifi book. After reading this I don't believe I'll be reading other books if it doesn't have at least four star reviews. I think Grant will be 2011's jk rowling.

Next to Harry Potter, ( or even on the same level) Michael Grant has created a wonderful novel that mixes thrilling adventures, and stunning battles scenes between the natural and the not so natural. These may seem like some other teenager book but I am sure any reader of any age will be captivated by the story of this kids in the world of the FAYZ!

This was a truly wonderful book. I found it while browsing throughout the iBook store and bought it on a whim. I was very pleased with my purchase. It was a substantial read read with an intricate, yet totally followable storyline. I also appreciate length...I tend to whip right through books like this :)

I have since read all three books of the series and await the fourth. Kudos, Michael Grant. You have written a wonderful series.

I certainly recommend this to anyone.
