Description

When a former client jumps naked from a Boston landmark, Private Investigator Patrick Kenzie wants to know why. Once a perky young woman in love with life, her suicide is the final fall in a spiral of self-destruction.
What Kenzie discovers is a sadistic stalker who targeted the woman and methodically drove her to her death – a monster that the law can’t touch. But Kenzie can. He and his former partner, Angela Gennaro, will fight a mind-twisting battle against the psychopath, even as he turns tricks on them…
Prayers for Rain is another superior thriller from Dennis Lehane, the bestselling and acclaimed author of Mystic River, Shutter Island, and Gone, Baby, Gone.

Prayers

Same old same old. As usual an entertaining read,

Number 5 in the Series

4 Stars. But perhaps my least favorite of the series. That tells you how good Lehane is. It was slow and maybe a bit too long but the mystery held strong until the end for the most part. It was obvious but cleverly disguised. K&G along with Bubba were as good as I’ve come to expect. Just one more left the series. That’s too bad.

Ending could’ve been better

The whole purpose at the end was a bit of a let down. It was an interesting read up until that point. Doesn’t explain certain happenings of the story

The best yet

I've read all of Dennis Lehane's work and this by far my favorite. Not because the characters are relatable, or because the scenes of suspense were continuos. He seems to strike at the core of human beings and the lengths people will go to to reach understanding. In short this is a work of art.

Great book..

I read 112 books in jail and this was my favorite! Thought the way the killer operated was real original. Good read!
