Cudos to the writers of Severance for this; “The Lexington Letter”. It is masterful. I now know what Lumon is really all about. The answer is “hidden” in this narrative. Can’t wait for the next Season and ultimately, the resolution of the “Conflict”. You have learned a lot about Screenwriting and are experts. You have locked the conflict is such a way as to compel us, the viewers, the want to know the outcome, just as much as the Innies want to know what is going on and what the ultimate objective of Lumon, and the work they do, actually is.

Please enjoy each section equally.

This short story is a quick read and not super satisfying, however it is a fun addition to the world of Severance. Reading the user guide for macro data refinement was cute and a fun idea.

Amazing to feel the world of Severance through words. Really don’t read but couldn’t put this down. So intriguing and to see that it’s been happening for a while. And that possibly the numbers they are refining have some how something to do with blowing up that truck. And JIM MILCHICK? WRITER? SO THEY DIDNT POST THE STORY BC HE TALKED TO HIS BROTHER SON FATHER SETH MILCHICK. CRAZY JUST CRAZY. Prolly heard abt the story and then they killed her in that accident

If you haven’t watched Severance, the greatest show in modern television; if you have read this and The You You Are by Dr Ricken Hale, PhD.; well you are missing out on a truly special, thrilling, at times funny cultural phenomenon, and I weep for you!!

I finished reading this book in one day, and I even had it read out loud to me because it was so captivating. The book is full of valuable insights that highlight the processes of life. There are many great things in it that really resonated with me.

I can’t believe the level of world building you guys have gone to great lengths to achieve! Keep going! Brava!

I stumble upon this book? Letter? As soon as I finished, I immediately went and watch the show. And I dont read books ever, but this letter really got me hooked. Amazing, ten out of ten 🙌🏽

This book really helps the reader get a feel for the Severance project, the rules of being an innie, and the specifics of Macrodata Refinement. A fast and fun read for fans of the show.

Great insight into Lumon and the work that is done there!

it really helps figure out what lumon may be doing, in S2 we start learning that Mark is needed for some project, it seems scary as lumon is giving him everything he asks for, by now he would’ve been fired already or killed but I believe that they need him for this sinister project, my personal belief is they are trying to create a digital version of mark or someone else, and mark is related to them, that would make sense on why they have to react to the way they feel about the numbers, I would recommend this to anyone who starts severance, I would recommend reading this after S1 ends, before you starts S2

Ever since branch 501’s MDR uprising, I’ve been doing my best to learn more about Lumon. My outie is doing the same too, I can tell. We’ve developed a code, indicating things by details on our clothes, creating a simplistic and undetectable code of sorts. My coworker, Alex, was faxed a copy of this and the rest of us read it after he was done. Lumon needs to change, something isn’t right. I’m gonna make a seriously long note using the aforementioned code, I hope Mr. Erland doesn’t figure it out… wish me luck!!

I’m a big severance fan and this book !! It was such a quick easy read definitely left me with so many questions but gave a good insight to the MDR world.

Another fun and interesting Severance book! If you watch the show this is a must read! It includes “The Macrodata Refiner’s Orientation Booklet”.

I have a feeling this show will not answer any of the questions that come up in the viewers mind or the answers will be unsatisfying. Stiller prove me wrong and give us a clear explanation of what’s happening at lumon!

It’s really short, and I absolutely wish there was more! The writing is done well, the characters(basically just 2) were easy to relate to. Guess I’ll find out more when I can stream it 😁

This whole thing was so ominous and really helped illustrate Lumon’s reach (and creepiness.) I loved it.

Really cool eye opening (yet really short) companion piece for the first season. It really shows off the true nature of Lumon and how much effort it takes to get the word out about abuse at a place like this. It’s crazy that the way the story was suppressed here is most likely the same way it was suppressed in season two.

If you are a fan of Severance this is a quick must read.

It is frankly absurd that anyone would believe this filth. The good people at Lumon have done nothing but support our community.

Whoever this woman is, she should be glad that Kier is so benevolent. If he wasn’t she could have died even sooner.

Frankly I’m glad she isn’t here to sully the good Eagan name anymore.

Movie is chilling and this sums up what we were thinking as we watched the first season. Great little prequel!

Worth the read if you’re a Severance fan and crave more than the show. This short story really fleshes out the world LUMON operates in and expands on the life of severed individuals.

1st. This is the best show on TV, hands down.

Maybe I’m just too deep into the woods…but my theory. This show speaks of our 3-D existence. Why do we keep choosing to come to this earth/realm/dimension (the office/Lumon)? We know there’s something else out there, but we can’t quite put our finger on what it is (the Severenced “outie” experience). We spend countless years doing pointless things only to obtain pointless trinkets (MDR number sorting and Waffle Parties/finger traps). We’re broken into groups with fear/chaos being the fulcrum that prevents our unity (Lumon departments/scary backstories to maintain separation). Unity would spark a global conversation. What if we realized war/division/fear is not the answer?

Short read. I love these little canon looks into television show universes I’m invested in. Hope this isn’t the only written work we get!

I admire Ben for taking the extra steps, this show takes the blinders off of me and now I can see this with fresh eyes.
