While the cliff hanger at the end slightly makes me want to read more, this book just does not have enough to make me want to pursue the next. Enough emotional pull/depth that gets you to connect with it, enough real world relatability that makes any of it even slightly believable. This book lacks the depth to make it relatable or even keep me from wanting to roll my eyes a lot. The fact that the main character creates a whole relationship with a man she only spoke with twice that treated her (on her end) like she was beneath him is just ridiculous. The lead characters go from no relationship or connection to suddenly being so invested they sleep together on the first ‘date’. Doesn’t make any sense to me. Sorry, I’m out.

I was intrigued with this story and disappointed that it’s a cliffhanger. This is a love story between a neurosurgeon and his intern. The sex is hot and the secret is heartbreaking. The cliffhanger stops when there’s suspicions that they may be siblings. Good story but messed up ending. I am not reading the next book. Too sickening for my romantic heart.

Very interesting! A little unrealistic. Great characters and the story-line was intriguing. I want to find out more about this couple. I highly recommend! I give it 4 1/2 stars

A well written story with depth to the characters. It was a page turnet till the cliff hanger at the end.

I enjoyed the book but don’t like how it abruptly ends. Not a fan of these kind of books. This book is well written, sometimes too sexual, but the characters are very interesting.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review. It is interesting how Z. L. Arkadie has developed the Christmas siblings since book 1 “Intrigued “. I am grateful that they have expanded beyond the characters she first introduced us to. Jake aka Asher has become a doctor with a kind heart. As with all the Christmas children he wants to forge his own identity. I look forward to the next book where I’m sure we will experience the other Christmas siblings assisting in the public merging of Jake and Asher. Just like his brothers Jasper and Spencer, Asher knows love when he finds it in Penina Ross. The secrets of her family may hold the destruction of their relationship. Looking forward to the book. Thank you Z.L. For bringing the Christmas siblings to life.
