Four stars as a few books in the series were easily more engaging. The ending, however, is excellent. Excited for the next book.

Signs of the current era should bring the events described in this novel close to every reader. Hard to put down. Thank-you Brad for a GREAT read.

Brad Thor is a consummate writer of suspense so realistic as to make one wonder whether it truly is fiction. His attention to detail and historical facts lends credence to the characters he has created. Scott Horvath is one of the most cunning characters ever written about. I enjoy every book by this outstanding author.

Dumb plot and poorly written

As usual, another “winner” fir Brad Thor! Each chapter leaves you hanging just enough to make you want to read the next chapter. I would convince myself that I would read a few sentences in the next chapter. A chapter later I would say the same thing. Great book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Best Thor book yet!

I have read all of Brad Thor’s books and have never been disappointed. This one is one of his best. I couldn’t put it down. The level of research he does, makes his books the stars of the genre.

It was boring compared to the rest of his books. The rest of his books are action packed. This book really does not get interesting until the last two pages. Brad Thor used Trump’s reference through the book of “fake news.”

Another great Scot Harvath book. One of the few authors that I have liked all the books in a series.

Captivating from the first through the last page. Over used word, ‘page turner’, but it is so true of Brad’s novels. You just cannot put the book down. Great ‘cliffhanger’ with Lara at the end. Cannot wait to see how Scot saves Lara in the next novel and hopefully takes down ‘Matterhorn’.

A fast-paced adventure with fascinating plot line truly pulled from current events. Excellent story.

It was a great read until the end . The characters and stories hold up on their own and don't need that type of ending to get us to read the next adventure . Trust your writing and don't be driven to cheap endings to sell your next book . Tell the publisher to back off or you'll turn Harvath loose on them .

A great read. Period.

Not one of his best. Disjointed at times. Story jumps occasionally. Overall story line was okay. Good European, NATO history and interchanges.

Well written, kept my interest throughout the whole book. I would highly recommend , easy read.

Not a fan of the ending. I have read all the books and this ending is not his usual style.

Boring book. Lots of background information with very little action. A waste of time.

I was ready to read more books by you BUT—-I do not like books that leave you up in the air at the end😃😘🤨

Now that Brad Thor is gone, the kindest thing that can be done for Horvath is to retire him. This effort lacks excitement, involvement, and any sense of caring about the characters. A dumb plot, too rapid wind up, and a feeling of what did I just read. Used to read Thor’s books in one, maybe two sittings. This one took me a week to get through. A sad end to a good series.

Timely on point topic, of possible “current Russian events,” Kind of short, but Horvath is slowing down. The “Gray Man”, just sprinted by, Scott never saw him. Thanks for another great read.
