This book is by far the most thorough explanation of the construction of scales, chords, arpeggios and their associated variations that I have ever seen. This really is ground-breaking work in my opinion. I am primarily a piano player, but I found the fretboard diagrams to be very educational and enlightening. This is the first time I have ever been able to correlate my knowledge of the piano with notes and scales of the guitar. This is more than just a book. It is an interactive guitde consisting of beautiful color diagrams with expandable illustrations. This really helps the user understand the relationships between the various notes, chords, scales and arpeggios. This book takes a somewhat complicated concept and makes it easy to understand and apply to actual playing. The use of iBook technology really provides an interactive music learning and reference resource. Thanks for creating this ingenious piece of work.

Thought color concept might be gimmicky- turns out to be a cool idea. Lots of hidden info.. recommend it!

Really useful on my iPad, especially with my travel guitar!

This book really takes you by the hand from beginning to end. It starts with very fundamental concepts but quickly builds towards the end goal of creating music. It is stuffed with pop up diagrams and pics. The fretboard diagrams at the end are very convenient - best Mode explanation I've seen..

I love the guitar, and have played for years. I started on my own, then went to the Mel Bay books and professional instruction, progressed to playing professionally, and moved on to another career. I never lost my love of all things guitar, and have continued to pursue mastery of the instrument.

Six String Vision is a comprehensive, intuitive approach to learning the guitar. It starts at the very basic, but by using hyperlinks it allows you to "see" how different topics are immediately relevant to one another. It is like peeling the layers of an onion, and I find it greatly simplifies learning the fretboard and theory. The hyperlinks facilitate making connections in a positive way that I think will benefit any level of player.

Very comprehensive. It's given me a deeper understanding of song construction; writing overall as well as playing with and adding to an existing song. And I'm just getting into this. There's something here for musicians of all levels. Very glad to have a tool like this at my disposal.
