Plus One takes us on a charming adventure in the “fake boyfriend” genre, with enchanting characters, humor, wit, and lots of sexy. Kimbra Jones is a small town girl that left her country roots behind to follow her dreams in the big city. As a HR manager of a large pharmaceutical logistics company in New York City, Kimbra handles all manner of HR and employee issues…including those involving “indiscretions” - even if the offender is her incredibly gorgeous, definitely sexy, and incredibly mesmerizing boss and CEO. Faced with a moral and personal dilemma, Kimbra knows she must do what’s right and report the incident as she would for any other employee…but there are more pressing matters…finding a plus-one for her cousins upcoming wedding in rural Indiana. Her solution? Confront the boss with his indiscretion, and blackmail him into being her date for her cousins wedding. Simple…right? OMG!! Aleatha Romig completely blew me away with her softer side! This book captured the sweet, innocent nature of Kimbra and her upbringing, while throwing in plenty of wit, humor, and pure delight. I fell head over heels in love with EVERY character. From Kimbra and Duncan themselves, to her family, their friends…every last one. Ms. Romig has always excelled at creating a plausible and amazing storyline and plot, and Plus One is no exception. I think it is safe to say that Ms. Romig’s softer side is just as incredible and captivating as her dark side. It is very possible that Aleatha Romig is the perfect blend of dark AND light…

I have read all of Aleatha’s books and I have loved every single one. Plus One, though very different from her other books which have a mysterious side, was no exception! It was a down to earth, quick read and sweet romantic comedy. It was absolutely hysterical, even had me literally laughing out loud at work (when I shouldn’t have been reading), and it was sinfully hot! Loved every second of Kimbra and Duncan’s story and cannot wait to read more from the lighter side of Aleatha!

This book was so great! The characters were all so endearing, the storyline was fun and well thought out and many great laughs. Oh and plenty of steamy, sexy scenes as well. Very well balanced. I loved it and had a hard time putting it down! This was one of those books where you walk away smiling and satisfied. Just love it!

Although this is a lighter book than Aleatha's normal style, it is still well-written and funny. Perfect for the beach or other light fun.

I'll start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Aleatha's darker side... In fact, the darker the better! I love her twists and turns and the mayhem that it all causes. So when she announced a "lighter side", I was skeptical. Still, being a fan of all things Aleatha, I jumped in. And let me just say... WOW!

Yes, I love those twists and turns, but it was SO NICE to read and just RELAX!!! Not once did I clutch my chest as my heart beat out of control due to anxiety. Not once did I fear for the lives of the main characters. Not once did I slam my eReader down and scream profanities.

Now don't get me wrong... I still LOVE her darker side and can't wait for the next heart pounder to be released... But until then, this was a nice reprieve.

Absolutely loved the lighter side of Aleatha!! Fast paced, funny and sexy. Duncan and Kimbra were fun and very entertaining. Shana needs a sequel as do Duncan and Kimbra. This was so good. I can't wait to see what is next from Aleatha Romig!!!
