This isn’t one star because the BURGERFI food is amazing. This app is a mess. You can’t use Apple Pay on it and delivery NEVER works. It’s always “delivery services are unavailable” every time you try to order. Whoever is in charge at BURGERFI for this application needs to fix this app

No support for Apple Pay. You have to enter a bunch of information including your name and phone number to place an order. The app allows you to enter an American Express card number, but then rejects the payment because the location doesn’t accept the card. Just terrible.

UPDATE: Went to the local Burgerfi and spoke to the manager and told him that they only delivered a burger and nuggets my last order and he was very fresh and nasty. Said a lot of people came to him to complain about the same thing (missing food) but there's no way to prove they're telling the truth, or that the driver stole their food. He was very nonchalant about it. Stay away from this app unless you want to lose money. -- I'm extremely dissatisfied with this app and how hard it is to report an issue with my order. So I decided to order and have them deliver several things: A burger, chicken tenders, milk shake, churros, soda, whatever. They only delivered the burger and the chicken tenders, everything else was missing. There is no way to report anything wrong with my order, there's not even an order rating system in place! I had to report a problem, no way to choose the order I was referring to, and in all of this, no person to handle my inquiry. I called the restaurant, the number is disconnected. Called the number for the nearest restaurant to the one I ordered from, tells me to go to the web to submit a support inquiry. I want my money back 😡

I added funds from the app nearly six months ago, $50, and have been unable to spend it, unable to get a refund. Let's you add from app, but you CANNOT spend from the app, you need to go in store. Winter Garden location claims "scanner doesn't work" for nearly half a year now. Asked if I could speak to someone about a refund, they said "there's no one to speak to", tried contacting in social, ignored. Considering the touch screens in store are always den and the employees are reluctant to take your order, I decided to try the app. Way too much info needed to order a burger. Hard to find your required favorite store. Finally get my order in, says it didn’t go through I tried again it said order in process. I get a text telling me I have to let them know I am on my way while I’m here and I let the app have my location? Then it says to go in for my order and it isn’t close to ready.

Bring back person-to-person transactions.

Also, I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms in the woods. It was so bad I peed behind the building.

First two steps in the door and my shoes were sticking to the floor. The self serve kiosks where you place your own order were covered in grime and dirty fingerprints and so was drink machine. The girl behind the counter had an attitude just as nasty as the place itself.

It’s an otherwise decent app, although it deleted my past orders after not using it for awhile and my biggest gripe is you have to start with a basic burger or cheeseburger to make customizations. It won’t allow you to customize a signature burger like the Ultimate Bacon or CEO for example. However, their rewards are decent, the food is good, there’s options to make it keto friendly, and the app is fairly easy to navigate.

I ordered a $100 order through the BurgerFi App and the delivery driver shows up and has a $10 order which is the wrong order. I didn’t accept it and he marks that it’s delivered. I then have no way to complain and can’t adjust my tip and delivery fee and when I talk to the restaurant they say to talk to DoorDash and when I talk to DoorDash they say they can’t do anything because I didn’t order through their app and I ordered through the BurgerFi app. I recommend you just use a delivery service app and not the BurgerFi app. I spent a ton of time on calls trying to get ahold of someone in this loop until I eventually did and they tried to create a conference with everyone and it hung up on me. Moral of the story is BurgerFi has incredible food but horrible technology. Eat their food but don’t trust their tech.

I like the app and want to use it but it’s useless if you want to pay with a gift card. Even on the BurgerFi website. After I entered and customized my order, it wouldn’t let me place the order unless I used my card on file — no option to enter a gift card whatsoever there or the main app page. I ended up having to go to my local BurgerFi, stand in line, and place my order to pay with a gift card. Super inconvenient during lunch! Also, the app doesn’t support equal substitutions without charging you. For example, I attempted to swap out American cheese for white cheddar and it added $1 to my total even though cheese is included on a cheeseburger. Please fix this ASAP!

When I told the staff they scoffed and told me that was impossible, but you can only order concretes or shakes for pick up despite them being available if you order in person. I have to say, I’ve been to plenty of burger places like everyone else. This is definitely the top burger places around. Absolutely, hands-down, the best burger around. Conflicted burger, CEO burger, and all the other burgers. The spicy chicken sandwich is absolutely the best spicy chicken sandwich you could buy. Ghost peppers, the best. Love it! Hopefully, they build one near where I live. I have to drive out of my way every time I want to pick up one of these incredible burgers. i’ve been ordering from the app over the past year and it’s flawless. Works perfectly. Go on the app pick out what I’d like pay for it. I go to the store and it’s always waiting for me there never any mistakes, unbelievable.

I use to order at Burgerfi at least once a week. It was just my favorite place to eat. I would leave work and place my order through the phone and by the time I made it to the Burgerfi my food would be ready. But with the new update, it doesn’t allow me to customize the burger that I want. My order is very simple. It’s just a Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions. But I can’t add anything to my burger. I can only remove things. Due to covid I rather not have to go into the Burgerfi and then order my burger in person. I just feel like this update was just a terrible addition to the app and really “fixed” something that was never broken to begin with.

They removed the customized feature from some items like the chicken sandwich. Since this was intentional, they removed previous Past Order (actually all past orders), so the user can’t go into the app to reorder a customized chicken sandwich.

There wasn’t an app update that did this. It was a sever side push removing the customize option from certain items. (That way users can’t just not update and keep the feature).

I suspect they did this to reduce the burden on the stores with customized orders that take longer. Having a feature in the app, then removing it, but the user can simply order a customized item in the store is a terrible experience.

I order by the app to reduce exposure and wait time in the store. Removing a feature favoring the quicker prep time at the detriment of the mobile experience is a terrible experience.

This is a regular place for my family when ordering out. The food and service are great. The app used to be decent, but I’m not a fan of the most recent changes. Ordering is way more clunky and not user friendly, especially if you’re customizing. They removed the junior bacon cheeseburger (my usual) from the menu, so now I have to go through some hoops to get that. You can’t junior size the regular bacon cheeseburger (why not?) so I had to pick junior size of the regular cheeseburger and manually add bacon. This is just one example of how ordering has gotten more tedious and confusing.

The other big issue, even before this latest update, is that it’s real easy to miss setting a future pick up time. It even defaults back to asap if you go to alter anything on the order! It’d be nice if that was asked right at the beginning of the order, or had its own step in the order process. I was so frazzled from the new changes and in a hurry trying to input my order earlier that I accidentally set it for immediately. Luckily the store was real cool and changed it with a phone call, but it would be even better if that wasn’t so easy to mess up in the first place.

Been to many locations but my burgerfi in Delray West Atlantic location is best. Maria the Mgr is very flexible, pleasant, energetic, caring and always finds a way to make us happy. The staff is faster than other stores esp cooks and quality is better. At other locations we got substandard fries w many small burnt ones. The West delray also always gets the order right.

This app is so excruciatingly frustrating! I can’t see the entire customization of the items on the review page. You have to go back into the item and make sure each category is correct, by opening each individual category. But, when you have three “customize as double” sandwiches, you can’t ever be sure which one you’re looking at! FIX THIS PLEASE, BURGERFI. I should be able to see my ENTIRE order and customizations on the review page. BurgerFi has the absolute best burgers in town! And that’s coming from a west coast girl who grew up on In&out burger. We moved to Virginia 2 years ago and our friends took us to BurgerFi. Our life was forever changed, we now eat there at least once a week. I also love the app, we always order our food ahead of time and pick it up. It’s super easy to use and you can easily re-order previous orders. And you earn points and get money off!

And the app... AND the rewards program. The app is super easy to use, I mostly preorder my food on my mobile then just walk in and grab. The rewards program is so awesome I get free food/fries w almost every order I place. If u don’t use this app to eat here u r missing out!

The system is always down, even before this app. I have had my previous account somehow deleted, lost all my points, started another one, and nine out of 10 times, there is a problem at the store with either the app or their system. I’m not normally negative but whoever is in charge of this system really needs to be fired and they need someone who is competent. This is been going on for about six months, I don’t see how a company like this could actually function when I have someone who is completely incompetent trying to put together a system. If you cannot fix some things in today’s day and age with technology after six months, you need to be removed and someone whose company needs to work

The new app in general looks great, i never had the old version like most people so theres no way to compare between the two.

The only major problem for me, as for a lot of people writing reviews is that the rewards don't work, the rewards are there but theres no way to use them because nothing happens when you tap on them, luckily the cashier was nice enough to input the reward by hand when they had the $5 burger reward..

Rewards feature is something they should really get to fixing right away

Used the ‘new’ app for the first time the other day. The old system was much better. This upgrade doesn’t let you put a name on each sandwich. It was much easier to add and delete items to your burger. I took me a while to figure how to customize each sandwich. I wound up placing 3 separate orders, called to cancel 2 of them and had to go there in person the next day to credit my charge card. Manager at the store said they’ve had a lot of problems with customers ordering thru the upgraded ‘new’ app.

So I did everything asked of me to set up my account under the new rewards program. App looks good for the most part. The big issue however is under my free fries reward, it instructs me to toggle the rewards to use now or later, but there is no way to do this and the reward can’t be applied to my order at check out either. No free fries for me I guess.

Also I was a member of the old rewards program and my birthday was right around the time the rolled out the new program, but I never got my free birthday coupon. I mean, seriously, what is the world coming to?!

I liked that I wasn’t forced to create an account or anything. It was nice to just download the app, select the closest location, place my order, and even be able to choose to pay at the store if I want. It was a smooth process, which is good because I’m hangry.

I do think including more pictures with the menu items would be nice, but I can also see how it could complicate things.

The Burger Fi in Mentor, OH is great! My order is always spot on and on time when I order through the app. The only thing I wish the app included is a comments section where I could ask for extra bacon jam or other specific thins that the app doesn’t allow.

Absolutely horrible app. When you try to log in, it takes you to a new browser window to log in that way. Then when you try to log in, half the time it won’t allow you to log in. I’m sitting here at my desk and can log in on my computer but not my phone??!! Then when i do go to burgerfi, they can’t pull up my phone or email to find my number. I then have to dig out the number so they can put in a 16 digit number and then after standing there for 5-10 min, I finally get my points? Horrible!! Fix the stupid app so I can just use that and not have my phone go to my browser so that I can log in to that. WHY HAVE THE APP IF IM USING MY BROWSER!!!!

Eh..could use some work. Good food though!

The app doesn’t show you pictures of any of the items, that would be a nice addition. Also there is no option to add extra of an item (pickles etc), AND no place to write it in as a comment. It constantly forgets my favorite orders, and one time it sent in my order before i was done (how?!), which led to confusion about why i had two orders when i went to pick it up. Food is average, I have noticed a serious decline in quality the past few months as they’ve gotten more popular. Hope this is fixed!!

Like most restaurants that start in Lubbock the food and service are excellent in the beginning. Unfortunately, everything eventually declines. The food is made with less care and the service is mediocre at best. If I’m paying 10 bucks for a burger, it shouldn’t be dry, the bun shouldn’t be burnt, and there should be more than just a taste of sauce. Not to mention the fries are cold and greasy.

As far as the service, be prepared to stand their like an idiot while employees walk by you until someone eventually attempts to help you, even if you’re the only person waiting for service. I think I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

This is a terrible app. Every few weeks it forgets your saved "favorite" orders. Worse, if you then select a previous order to repeat, either you get an error or it messes up your customizations. Lastly, ordering something from scratch is a terrible UI experience. Would not be so bad if you only had to go through this pain one time, but see above.

The loyalty card integration is poor (Am I earning points? What's my balance?)

Fire your IT partners and get someone better. Burgers and Service are pretty good - but every 6 months the buns get downgraded in quality.

The app never saves my favorites, and it never lets me checkout with my "rewards" I keep accumulating. This company is modern enough that this app shouldn't have ANY issues like this, let alone have the issues last this long. They need to fire their app team and rehire some people.

The app has potential however not all locations are programmed in the app and the company does not update the app frequently enough to justify using it. I've waited over 5 months, sent 10 emails and have gotten no response attempting to explain when the app plans to include new or recent locations.

Update: 5/3/17 -- I recently received a rewards card at my local store however it appears to my surprise the app doesn't allow you to input this information when placing orders.

The app is good but left out what IMO is a very important element. There is not way to add special notes. You can add and subtract easily enough but if there is anything special there's no way to do it. For example, I love the custard. Sometimes I get the Red Velvet Concrete but they always put way too much red velvet - more than the custard at our Burgerfi. When I order in person, I ask them to cut the usual amount by 50%. There's no way to do that in the app. Otherwise, the app is good. I like that it lets me add a name next to each item ordered.

Just uploaded the app since we live down the street and didn't have to time to wait in a line. Both my husband and I hate being put on hold or with people that don't know the menu.

App downloaded instantly even not being in a wifi area and was really straight forward.

Automatically links you to closest BurgerFi. Full menu with modification available. I just wish there was an on side button so I can get my vinegar and salt for my fries on the side.

Apple Pay would be nice but overall a descent app to get some burgers without a hassle.
