Description
Sentry Mobile is the first parking application that actually interacts with your parking meter in real time! Sentry Mobile lets you buy time on an MPS parking meter and the meter instantly updates to show you your remaining time with an icon indicating you paid with the smartphone app! You, as a parker, will see an easy-to-view map of nearby meters including visibility into actual current parking space availability.
You can setup an MPS “stored value” Parker account and pay for parking at any MPS meter. The MPS mobile application allows you to make purchases on Legacy meters and in parking lots where municipalities permit this feature. You no longer have to carry coins or swipe credit cards to pay for parking! The Sentry Mobile application allows you to see your account balance at any time, and to replenish your account balance as needed.
When you pay for your parking and pull into your parking space, the MPS Meter will automatically update with the amount of time you purchased and display a smart phone icon to indicate that your time was purchased via the Sentry Mobile application. No more “guessing” about whether your mobile payment was actually properly applied to your parking spot!
You will receive automatic in-application alerts when your parking session time is running out, and you can see a quick summary of parking sessions you have purchased in the past. The “Where's my car” feature navigates you quickly back to your car.
Concierge Autopay Program allows mobile parkers to automatically pay for parking without the need to interact directly with the parking meter or their mobile device.Payments will automatically be applied to your parking session from you MPS account. During your Concierge parking session you will not receive a violation as long as you do not exceed the maximum time allowed or park during “No Parking” hours. You will receive notifications and reminders during your parking session unless you disable them.

How easy would it be to pay and not have to manually type in credit card numbers on my 47th parking app?

Bad parking experience
Confusing process to set up. Couldn’t use the app because the spot was already occupied by my vehicle. Then I went to the station paid an hour and it only gave me 46 min, stating the spot was in use previously? I had been there less than 5 min trying to get the app to work. Then I could not add more time on the meter and the app says I have no active session. Really frustrating, and really hoping I don’t get a ticket. I’ll be talking to the city next on why they purchased this new system! ParkMobile worked great. This seems buggy, expensive, and not intuitive.

Miss our old app
This app is not nearly as slick or user friendly as our prior app. Plus we have to keep money loaded vs. charging our credit card every use. How you search for your parking space isn’t as easy. There is no way to create a nick name for each license plate you have stored.

Hot Garbage
In all of my many years of using and developing software I have never encountered such a terrible user experience. It’s comically bad, as if the developers were challenged to create the ultimate example of what *not* to do when making a mobile application. If that was in fact the goal, they have succeeded with flying colors. Congrats. I hate my city for making me use this.

Absurd amounts of bugs
The user experience on this app is abysmal - Everytime I try to look around the map for a spot it just sends me back to my location. There’s no submit button on spots when I click on them but then 30 seconds later is finally says something about maintenance. As a web developer I can’t even image releasing such an awful app. Take some notes from portlands parking app parkingkitty which is an actual functioning app.

Terrible App
Can’t even login when you create an account. Once you register and attempt to login again, all that you receive is a loading screen. Can’t register your vehicle or add funds. This app is terrible.

Poor design, overcharged
This is the worst parking system I’ve ever dealt with. I parked in a spot with a maximum of 4 hours but someone left before their time was up, so there was time left on the meter. The app doesn’t tell you that though, it just kept telling me I was trying to put too much time on the meter. I stepped out and went to the pay station instead, and it gave me a frowning emoji and told me to pay via the app! No explanation. I ended up attempting to pay by lowering the desired time by 15 minute increments until it finally totaled under 4 hours. Now I see that despite the errors it was showing (and despite not adding time to the meter), it still charged my card. I went into the app and clicked the link to “email support” and it didn’t do anything. Thinking this might be an error on my end I selected another option “email my transaction history to me” and it came through just fine. So.. they must not want you to contact them. I ended up being charged $19.25 for three hours of parking, and don’t know how to contact support to get it fixed.

I just loaded this on my phone for the third time. I just “registered”. It is still “loading” my log in info. It is taking a rather long time. It has been 10 minutes. I guess they don’t want my $ after all. Good bye sentry.

No meter found
I had sentry for years. Had 10.00$ left in the app. Could not find the meter any longer so I deleted the app from my phone.
Now I am going to install it again will my $10.00 balance show up again?

Horrible
This app is a complete disaster.
It is like walking on broken glass.
It will not work at all without location services enabled.
Trying to purchase a monthly parking permit requires you to jump through half a dozen hoops. And the monthly permit only covers 28 days so they can scam you out of 3 days of parking.
Want to buy multiple months at once? Sorry. You have to login within a 1 day window or you’ll get a ticket.
Wish my school never embraced this piece of hot garbage.

Push notifications broken
Does not send push notifications even though they claim it was sent. This happened to a bunch of me and my friends multiple times and we all got tickets.

Most useless app ever
I have never been able to successfully use this app to pay for parking. It took my money to add to my account but won’t let me use it to pay for parking. I can select my lot but then nothing - no button to push to purchase time! The most useless app ever.

Unauthorized Transactions
Installed the app b/c I didn’t have spare change. Was unable to locate meter in use. The app withdrew $100 for account deposit which I never authorized. Users beware.

Useless waste of $10
Like others i downloaded the app and paid my $10 and then only got “failure to communicate with meter” error message and then had to find quarters to feed rhe meter

Useless
Useless application I downloaded just a few minutes ago tried to pay for the parking it give me all sort of error of the location and time so I move the car and tried again and was the same waited 15minutes and tried again it was the same so I had to pay with Coin after application took 10 dollars for this purpose so I don’t know what is the use of this application?

Technical problems with app
At first I really liked using this app because it was so convenient to use when I don’t have quarters. Now, even if I add time on my phone, it would glitch and say that I have no active sessions left. This happened many times and I have to spend extra money to add time which I already paid for.

faulty app
this app was good at first when i was trying to pay my meter without coins handy, a few months later it doesn’t work at all. I put in $10 in this app that can’t even be used because the app keeps telling me they can’t find my parking meter which is the whole purpose of the app....

Was a 5 star app until...
The village I live in brought in these electronic meters. I got the app and found it very easy to use and it synced with my phone's GPS to get my location.
Then greed interceded and now the company is going to charge $0.30 per payment transaction. So a $0.25 parking transaction will cost $0.55.
I'd venture to say the majority of parking transactions in my village are short term requiring only $0.25.
Instead of getting paid by the village they are collecting the funds for, they are hitting the consumer. I'll just start carrying more quarters in my car.
