As us students are enjoying our summer we still are wondering what classes we will have for this up and coming school year to share with friends and see what classes we have in common but we have to login to PowerSchool via mobile web browser or on our computers to see these classes because there is no in app way of viewing them so I was wondering if there was any way to add a the feature of viewing next years schedule to the PowerSchool app

Why did you do this update it was fine just how it was and why does it have to be closed for the summer? Don't kids want to know what teachers they got BEFORE it's already the end of summer? This was a truly great tool but now it's just ruined. Last year PowerSchool was open WAY before this I looked on July 7th last year and it was open but now I hear not till July 17th what's the deal? Why can't this be open for goodness sake a lot earlier than this? I've been checking every day and it's been saying that access is disabled until "early to mid July" it doesn't even say when which you'd think it would say something about that! It's already July 11th and I still been getting the same message every day! I mean seriously if your going to put early to mid July mean it because July 17th is not early to mid. This delay is unbelievable. Don't kids want to find out what teachers they got for the school year? Come on!

You managed to make this worse than before (and it was bad then). And the boilerplate response you give to everyone who rates it low too is just as terrible as the app. It shows no thought or consideration of the users.
[New: after criticizing their form letter response, they SENT it to me!]
Also, App and Web don't contain the same info. Must go back and forth between app and web because each lack overall info--some only on website; some only on app.
At least if I could get all info on the app I'd mind this horrible update a bit less.
For example, grades for prior school years are on web but not app. Kids take classes starting in 7th grade that count in HS GPA. Plus there's no way to get out of 8th grade in my school system w/o taking at least 2 classes that count for HS GPA. And, although all of it's ridiculous and insane, kids can take as many as 8 HS credits before 9th grade. You need to see grades from previous years.
There must be a standardized entry system for all grades and comments. Every teacher uses their own system so you can see missing, a dash, or a 0 with a grade of F for the similar situation.
Also, info can disappear. Once marked or late a grade can appear later and the missing or late indicator can disappear. It either needs to stay or if removed require a comment about that item.
I hope this is Coke v Pepsi. That if the school doesn't like your product (Pepsi) they can switch to a different one (Coke) that one can only assume will be better. I'm pretty sure there may be others as friends in other school districts use something other than this program/app for the same purpose. And they like it. When I tell them of your flaws they say they don't have that problem. But that might be PowerSchool and not this.

So this app was HORRIBLE when I first got on to the new update. But then I realized that there is a lot of new features that I think are pretty cool. And the people who said the stars for the GPA make them upset because they're not "perfect" I believe it's a motivator contrary to what most people are thinking. I look at it as "wow I only have 1 star filled in I really need to work on that" or "wow I have all 4 stars filled! I finally did it!" But I think the app has become a bit confusing. I like the layout but I think there could be a little more work done to improve this.

I never write reviews but feel compelled to say how terrible this new version is. All of the information that could easily be seen is now hidden behind other links. The overview of all of the grades for all quarters is now replaced with significant white space, little information and childish looking stars. The advantage of customizing the dashboard does not allow for all grades to be shown so what is the point? I wish I could go back to the previous version.

Version 2.0.1
I actually found the previous design of the app to be too cluttered and unappealing and now this new design is much more cleaner and simpler. It seems like most of these negative reviews aren't really about the app itself and some things that are being complained about can be fixed. If there are things you don't want to see you can easily edit your dashboard to remove them or reorder them to whatever you prioritize. And it's not the app's fault if you're not able to get the grade you would've liked which for some reason people seem to think is relevant to the function of the app...

Version 2.0.1
There is not a single good thing about this update. Other than my GPA, which is obnoxiously displayed as soon as you open the app, I can't find anything that I'm looking for. The other format was so much easier to navigate and way more helpful. I honestly don't know what the developers were thinking.
Specifically, I was a big fan of the "Grades" tab and the "Assignments" tab. It was a very convenient was to view all the grades for every classes. The assignments tab was great because I could see what new grades had been inputted without individually clicking on each class. If these features are available in the update, I wouldn't know because I can't figure out where to find anything (and I am a very tech-savvy person).
PLEASE, go back to the old format!!!!! If not, I am literally going to un-update my app anyway by getting the old version off of my synced things on iTunes.
Horrible update.

I can get my child's grade anytime I want. I can contact the teachers through it also which I love. He can't hide anything from me. The only thing is they show you when an assignment is due but it doesn't describe what the assignment is about. When you press the assignment you can choose summary but there is never anything in the summary. So that's the only thing that needs to be fix other than that it's great.

Hello, I am a blind and visually impaired high school student, and I updated to the new version of the app, and I hate it. I don't think you were thinking about making it reliable for blind people before you just changed it on us. Did you ever think about blind people can only check their grades on their phones? I don't think you did, did you? I'm not trying to be mean, but I can't do a THING on this app anymore. Very unreliable, I can't see the assignments very well, or anything like that. I was wondering how you could improve on that easy to read dashboard screen that showed everything I needed to see right up front and now I see that you couldn't. The new dashboard is not helpful. I have younger students for whom GPA does not apply, so to have a third of the screen taken up with blank space is frustrating. Also loved how I could swipe between my children. Now I need to pull up a drop-down menu to switch children. Please stop fixing what's not broken.

Version 2.0.1
As I opened the powerschool app today to check my grades (even in the summer) like the diligent student I am, I realized something. The interface had changed and the display was different! 'Okay,' I thought, as I checked out the new display. Then, I noticed the way it displayed my GPA. Instead of the discreet numbers at the top that the old interface had, this one was huge with blazing numbers and stars that went away when it wasn't a 4.0. I am a very hard worker, and this past year was rough for me, but seeing my not perfect GPA displayed like that deeply saddened me. I was unmotivated, upset, and I feel like even though I'm not a 4.0 student, that doesn't mean I'm not great in other ways. Perhaps I'm just a bad test taker. However, since the stars show me I'm not perfect since I don't have full stars, then I think I'm not perfect and I'm very sad. School is a breeding ground for depression and anxiety, and this new GPA display definitely makes it worse. It reminds me that I'm a failure each and every time I open the app to check my grades. Please change this, or I will be quitting school.
Sincerely, a very very concerned student

Version 2.0.1
This new version is extremely disappointing. The dashboard view is confusing and not as visible as the old version without the grid, not to mention being forced into landscape mode. I don't need to see each aspect of my schooling in a feed like it's social media, it really doesn't make any sense at all why they are in an arbitrary order instead of a list I can pick out of. The grade spread is LITERALLY the only important part, and it's not even front and center when the app is opened. The new gpa design is useless, and I can't see my weighted gpa or cumulative. This is a serious downgrade from the last version. I'm very disappointed.
P.S. it might be small, but the shake to display the student information was an easy way to view everything without having to go on the browser version. Bring it back.

This app has somewhat saved me from calling into school daily to make sure my son is on track. He has a habit of doing work and then "forgetting" to turn it in. For the most part, it updates quickly and I can see what is missing or not. However, it does not always alert me of certain things that I selected to be notified about. It's a new system for my son's school, so it could be in part due to their lack of knowledge of the app. My son finished school June 8th and report cards have already been sent out, but the app is still showing GPA for T2. They changed the interface or whatever since school has ended, but still haven't figured out how to show the most recent GPA? Oh well, not that big of a deal. It's still really helped our situation at home.

I'm a student who needs to check his grades constantly. I can't be on chromebook when I get home. So I turned to the PowerSchool app. I find it terribly buggy. When I try and sign in on Ncedcloud, I get an error message saying I was too slow. So next time I go to logon i do it fast enough. But when I need my most recent grades I tried refresh but, it takes far too long for my patience. (which was longer than an hour) And there's more bugs under student sign in. Like, it would auto log out for no reason, And almost every time I have to sign in again. I know I have fast internet connection so this can't be the problem. My mom signed in under parent account and she's seeing my grades on her phone (iPhone 7) before I see them on mine (iPhone 5). But either way, I can't see my grades in the app please fix these problems/bugs.

Version 1.1.3
This app is great! It keeps me updated with all my grades and notifies me when one changes! It has arrows by the grades that shows whether it went down or up. This app helps me -- oddly enough -- to be more motivated to get my grades up because I like seeing all the green arrows (meaning your grade has improved). It updates me on my GPA & not just my Quarter grades, but my Semester grades as well! It is easy to hook your grades up and get the app working, it's very simple. You can add a password if you don't want someone getting into your grades without your permission. The ONLY 2 problems I have with this app is that: 1) You cannot log into multiple accounts at once -- would help if your friends wanted to log into to see there grades. 2) Crashes sometimes -- but not too much.

Awesome!!

This app does everything I need it to. I can check my grades, assignments, teacher's comments, schedule, attendance history, etc. I just have one thing negatively to say about it and a change that can hopefully be made. I view this app on my Phone at home to help keep up with assignments and work for all of my classes. However, after a recent big update to PowerSchool, my list of classes is not in any order. Not alphabetically, or based on the periods that I have them. They are in no specific order. It would be great if there could be another update where this is fixed and the class titles and teachers names go back in the correct order. Other then that, this app is perfect just the way it is!
Thank you

I'm the type of person that when I set a goal, it will be completed, no "buts", "maybes" or "mights". It's a "I will" finish this goal and exceed it. I want to know if I'm getting closer or if I'm trailing off instantly, not have it randomly jump out at me at the end of the quarter/semester. Thankfully, PowerSchool enable this for me. It tells me if my grade goes up or down without me checking it; it notifies me; so then I don't have to waste precious seeing if I am improving or not. Thank you a lot for making this app user friendly.

This app is great to keep you updated, but I am having issues loading the page and I know a lot of people having this problem as well. If the whole point is to keep you updated then there is no point to getting this app. It can actually make it harder to stay updated. It once changed my grades falsely, and when I asked my teacher what happened she said nothing had changed, my grade was a 92. But after checking my app it was still an 88 and would not load. PLEASE GET THIS FIXED. This is making me rather just go online to check. Not to say the app is terrible, it would be great if it weren't for this problem. It even shows my yearbook photo!😄

I like being able to see exactly what is going on real-time with my daughter's schoolwork. Gives me a good idea of where she needs my help and where she doesn't so I am supporting her where she needs it and stepping out of the way where she's got it together. Since the info is real-time, we can take care of problems, so things like late assignments don't become missing assignments. There's also no arguing with the data, and that helps with discussions where they need to happen. Overall a great tool for parents!

PowerSchool is a wonderful app. The only thing that I can see to change is detailing absences. Rather than showing just "excused" or "unexcused" give a bit more detail for the excused absences. As a parent who is separated, it would be great to have a bit more detail to show my ex. Such as; excused - sick, excused - Dr. Appointment, excused - dental, excused - funeral, and so on. The information on PowerSchool is private so I do not see any conflict. If there is a problem, maybe I am not seeing it from my point of view.
Otherwise, PowerSchool is a WONDERFUL App!!!

This app is great to have to keep track of all grades, the good ones and the not so good ones. It helps me as a parent to keep track of my child's work. I can let me child know of missing assignments and follow up with bad grades and celebrate good ones more immediately than waiting for work to come home- or being surprised at report card time. Yes, the app needs work but everything is a work in progress and I'm glad -overjoyed actually- to have something like this app to help us parents stay up to date. I wish I had this when I was a student!!!

I love that I don't have to wait for progress reports to see how my children are doing in school. I get notifications every time their grades change which is a regular reminder to me to congratulate them, to remind them to turn in missing work or to take the next step in getting help before they fall behind. I'm also able to see their attendance and if missed classes are marked as excused or not. If I have any problems I'm able to click a link and email the teacher any questions I may have. This app has definitely improved communication between my students, their teachers, and myself.

PowerSchool mobile is the best app to look up your grades it's fast and easy to use and alerts you when you get a tardy or a when a grade goes up or down but what I think it needs is instead of having p.(period)1(example) for middle schoolers it should have a circle with a photo and p. 1 or 2 or 3 or whatever in the middle and the home grade and other sections should have themes or decorations like flowers or something like that but that's my opinion overall it's a great app by itself

I am a fan of this app because it shows me my grades and my GPA whenever I want and like five seconds to check your grades you just simply go to the grades file and find all of your grades to check your GPA you just simply shake your device and it'll appear on your screen screen with a applaud from your "audience"this app is kid friendly it will also show you your lunch money but only if your school administrator allows it this app also shows you on assignments due and the assignment come with a date it. It shows you what your grades are in music art computer lab library and Jim this app is handy because you can easily read your grades by checking in what you have to do on what dates and checking if you've made improvement this app also shows it alerts you when you have improved in your grades

Is great because you can just open the app to see your grades immediately without having to log back on and off and also parents can have it to see what there children are doing good and bad in and to help improve there grades quick and easy also it has all the teacher info. So you don't have to spend a long time looking for their email or etc. and last you can see upcoming events and assignments.

Version 1.1.2
Does its job by updating Grades, but Notification Center is useless. I would like a more detailed screen than just my GPA. For example, a summary of my grade in each class or a summary of my recent grades. Hopefully the developers will take advantage of the new widget functionality in iOS 10.
Other than that, the app functions reasonably well. The main screen can be buggy and forces me to constantly scroll across semester 1 grades when it is already completed.
Notifications in general could use a lot of work, but better software than expected from a company of this nature and scope.

I love this app! It provides me with such detail that I can keep up with what my children are doing or not doing, in school. It allows me to check details on assignments, attendance, and comments from the teachers. If my child does not turn in an assignment I know about it and can facilitate it. I believe I am on this app daily during the school year. If you have PowerSchool on your computer that's great, but the app makes it much more mobile. Strongly suggest this app for any involved parent!!

My kids aren't so great at communicating the ins and outs of their school day. Even exams don't seem significant enough to them to mention either before or after they take place. It is very important to me to partner with my kids' school in their education, and PowerSchool has made it so much easier to do just that-- to ask my son what he missed on a quiz, or why he didn't turn in an assignment, or ask him if he has studied for tomorrow's exam, or to be able to discover from a low score that there are things he is not understanding. Of course, PowerSchool is only as good as the teacher who updates it in terms of keeping up with assignments and grades, but since my kids' school makes a priority of communicating that way, this app has been a real winner for our family.

Love it!

I've not experienced any problems with the app. I love the instant updates and the ability to email the teachers. The announcement and calendar portals have proven to be invaluable and the school year has just started. It takes the guess work out of any problems your child may be having in any of their classes and holds the parents accountable for knowing their child's progress at all times, provided the teacher updates frequently. Thank you PowerSchool.

This app works fine. Allows you to check your grades and keep track of everything else as well. There are a couple issues such as constantly having to log into your Power School account every time you open the app, or *issues refreshing your grades. I have tried reinstalling the app multiple times and that does absolutely nothing. *One workaround I have found for your grades not refreshing is holding down the power button until the shutdown slider appears and let go of the power button and hold down the home button until the app closes then opening the app again and try to refresh. As a student constantly worried about their grades this should be fixed, hopefully within the next updates.

I really like this app but, there are a few things that need to be accomplished to make it a 5 star application. First of all, the red arrow. This detail is sooooo annoying i understand that it shows how your grade dropped but that only needs to show when you first own it and look not for a couple of weeks!!! It's very annoying! The other problem with this app is that its very laggy! You have to be connected to WiFi for it to really work if your not, it takes forever!!!
Though this app has some problems, I like it a lot cause well, it shows your percentage and grade. I hope you can get all these things taken care of👍🏻

I was told by my district that they cannot utilize all functions of this app, i.e. fees. I had no idea that my children had past fees, until I received a letter from the school limiting my child from prom activities until paid, but there wasn't anything listed on the app. As they looked further, they found that this is a customized area that they cannot utilize, so they have disabled it on the app from their end. So now I have to still log in on a standard computer to see this.
Also, why can't I review upcoming or past schedules on this app. With graduation requirements, it would be nice to have a feature where the requirements were checked off as a student completed them, so they knew where they stood as they thought about future schedules.
This app is only as good as teachers use it. Our school policy is that teachers are required to post grades minimum of every two weeks. This is hard for parents to utilize this app for day to day discussions with their children. I have one teacher who adds comments about talking with my child when they have a missing assignment, so I can see that interaction and follow up. Again, only as good as teachers use it.

A couple improvements to make: quarterly grades are shaded green if the grade went up and red if the overall grade goes down. Unfortunately- these are often wrong.
For the dashboard view, when you're in the third quarter, you can't see the subject name and Q3 grade at the same time. You need to optimize the page! Under filters, it says you can just filter the second semester, but the filter doesn't work.
Overall- the app seems to have access to all the right data. Just need to hire people to implement something useful from the customer's perspective. Useable filters and the ability to sort are huge needs.

This current PowerSchool always boots me out and forces me to log in again, and often times results in "connection issues." I can log in to it on safari several times in the time that I use retrying my log in on the app. This happens to people with various different iPhones too. I could understand if it was only the people with older models, but come on, my friend has an iPhone 6s, and it's been happening to her since she got the new PowerSchool.
The new system of coloring your grades red and green when your grade drops and raises, respectively, is not the best idea. Imagine that you have a 100 in a class, then open PowerSchool and see your square red, just because it dropped to a 99. Any casual observer would see the red and assume the worst.
Lastly, the fact that PowerSchool caps any grade at a 100%. I've been confused many times why my extra credit didn't show up, only to notice the tiny print underneath saying 11/10. If a teacher puts in a 1/0 by accident (which actually happened to my class once), students won't catch it quickly and it will cause a lot of trouble for the teachers. Extra credit is something hard earned; that's why it's called "extra." PowerSchool shouldn't have a cap at 100 that doesn't show all your hard work.
I really hope they fix it again, and to something better next time.

I've used this and the old version for three years and love it. Yes it sometimes has lags but that's usually when all the parents are scrambling to see their kids grades or maintenance on the site is occurring. As for the features not visible...like GPA, etc., that is based on your district. Go to settings and disabled features and you will see what your district have purposely hidden from view...not the app developers fault. I have two high schoolers and find the app pretty easy to navigate once you play around with it and get to know the different pages and layers within the app. Both of my kids keep the app on their phones to track their grades.

This app is amazing. It does everything it should, meaning, showing your grades, telling you how many lunches you've bought and how much you spent. It lets you change the photo it uses and the name you go by. It tells you different activities you've done within the school. I love it and look at it every week. It also helps you keep up good grade by telling you what you have. I personally (not to brag) have all A's because it lets you look at what made your grade go down, so you know what you have to retake or fix.

This app works. I'll give it that. But only barely. It feels like it's running itself off it's rails when you're using it. It gets laggier and laggier, scrolling is extremely choppy, and it takes forever to refresh. This is on an iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2 running iOS 9.2. They are perfectly capable. Also sometimes it tries to pull down everything to refresh rather than scroll up and down the overly expansive spreadsheet of grades.
The app is set up pretty haphazardly with no elements of customization at all. Could we organize our classes in our own order? Name them to simplify things? Finally, the arrows. They don't go away. They should only show the first time you see your new grade for example. Whenever the grade updates the arrow should show the respective change. Once. We shouldn't see an up or down arrow indicating growth or decline for days or weeks straight even though the grade hasn't changed at all. Please adjust that.

Great App! But...

I LOVE this app. Compared to the website which was slow and hard to work on my phone, this is 100x better. I STRONGLY recommend getting it. Now I check my grades multiple times a day. I love being notified of absences and when a new assignment gets turned in, but there's some glitches. I'll be on my phone and get a notification telling me my grade has changed when it hasn't. For example, just now I got a notification my grade dropped to a D- in Calculus! It's a B, however, and when I checked it was correct. Just scary and annoying getting these updates that are incorrect. I may just turn of notifications if it doesn't get resolved... Otherwise I love the app and appreciate all PowerSchool does!

Oh man, I can't even explain how many times this app makes me mad. I'm so, so glad that you guys made a PowerSchool app, but by reading the other reviews, for some people this app seems to be either really bad, or super great. In my case, it's really bad. Like. REAAAALLLLYYY bad. Each time I get into the app, I have to sign into the website within the app, and when I try to refresh it, it won't even refresh. I can't see my updated grades unless I go on the Internet to do it. Please fix this, it's really bad. I've tried to delete and reinstall it, but it just does the same thing. I don't know if this is occurring because of phones, but I can't even see my updated grades. Fix it and I'll give this app a better rating!

I can't get my overall GPA to show up. I've looked in settings as well as everywhere else, and I can't seem to find it. Some of my friends are having the same issue as well.
I also think there is a lot of unnecessary things listed on this app. Like: school fees, teachers, activities, etc. I mean, if you're going to advertise that that information is there, then there should be something there. But all I see is a lot of empty, unneeded space being taken up.
I love the down red and green up arrows indicating a fall or increase of my grades. It makes me more aware of how much an assignment can impact my overall grade, and makes me pay attention to a particular assignment that may potentially need to be redone.

Overall, PowerSchool is a great app and I love being able to access my grades. I do have three tips to make it even better.
The first tip has been mentioned a lot in the other reviews. The green and red arrows, in opinion, are just pointless. They stay on for weeks and it drives me insane. The red arrow makes you seem like you have an awful grade when really it's still an A.
My second tip is this: I would love to see not just the rounded grade but the grade with the decimal. Many times, I want to see how close or far I am to having my grade change.
And lastly, I accidentally declined this pop up asking something about my GPA. Since I said no, my GPA shows up as just three dashes. So if there's any way you can make it so if you answer no when it asks you, you're able to take it back.
Besides that, I love the app. 5 stars!

Well... There are some improvements to be made. I switched from the old app (which was working perfectly fine even with my new schedule) last week and it messed up everything. My grades in the new app show the grades I got in the first week of school. So I deleted the new app and redownloaded the old one. I tried to go to my grades but when I opened the old app up, my grades showed the same grades from the first week like the new app. I can't even access online because I need certain cookies and browsers and things like that. Please help and update soon. My optimism is the only thing giving this a 2 star rating rather than a 0 star rating.

Version 1.0.1
I downloaded the app because apparently it was necessary to make an entirely new app instead of update it, but that's aside the point. First things first, it's laggy. Scrolling has an annoying choppy effect and when I click on a subject, the app pauses for some reason before opening the aforementioned subject. Second the arrows, what's up with those? I get it you guys want a quick at a glance update, but after I see it and close the app the arrows don't go away. It has a somewhat demoralizing effect when I have a red "your grade went down" arrow for three weeks at a time. Lastly it's just generally not organized. The grades tab isn't organized in any manner I can detect, now this may not be Pearson's fault, it just would be nice to have a little customization, any at all.
So in conclusion, I'd have no problems giving a four-, even five-star review if the issues I have would be addressed and fixed, or even if the app was just generally easier to navigate and utilize. I enjoy having the convenience of knowing my grades, however they're presented in a way that just is too cluttered.

Version 1.0.1
It's a pretty decent app but I'm pretty sure there was no need to create a completely new app. Being a student and having the ability to check my grades whenever is a blessing and a curse. In this update they use green in red when your grade changes. If your grade goes up your score is lit up green. And of course, if your grade goes down its red. I think the worst part is how long it can stay there. I've had red on mine for quite a few weeks and it's never a good feeling. I'm not saying I have bad grades, but when a teacher puts in a grade it can drop it. And then we don't get an assignment for a couple of days. I'm just trying to say that my happiness always drops when I go on PowerSchool.

Good, needs improvement

Although this app is very convenient, it could use some changes.
First of all, the red and green arrows are not necessary. Seeing that I got a low grade on a test is bad enough, but seeing the red flag and down arrow on my grade makes it that much worse. Sometimes the arrows don't even work properly and my grade will go up, but there is still a red down arrow. Why? Just remove them altogether or keep the green arrow.
Also, notifications would be a great addition to this app. Getting a notification of when a teacher enters in a grade would relieve so much anxiety and stress, especially with bonus. It would save time as well and let me know which class needs the priority and which classes I need to complete extra credit for.

Compared to the app from last school year, this works incredibly. It offers so many user friendly new options to stay organized and on top of grades, which is a great way to help kids.
The one thing myself and others in my school are personally not fans of are the up and down arrows on the grades/summary menu. We feel as if these tend to display irrelevant ideas of how we are doing in a class (i.e. getting a 97 on a heavily weighted test brings the average to a 97 but shows a down arrow) and would appreciate an option to turn them off. Besides that, the app is near perfect and functions great!

The title of my rating is 'Blessed Generation' meaning, our children are going to experience technology in abundance and that is an awesome thing. I think the parents are obviously going to benefit strongly from this app because we are constantly in the know as far as how our children are progressing in school and there will be less forgetfulness or lost paperwork that was supposed to follow your child home from the teacher. No more hiding grades from Mom,Dad or Guardian with this wonderful tool. I recommend 101% Well Done! Let's keep these lines of communication between teacher, student and parent flowing free!!!

Version 1.0.1
The app has been great for me as a parent to see how my child is performing in school. But, more important than easily seeing the overall grade, I need to easily see and stay on top of daily assignments at a glance.
So, now a month into the year, it has become cumbersome to dig through the assignment tab because of how the app allows you to display the info and how far out teachers will enter future assignments.
In the assignment tab there are only two sorting options, by date or class. Either way I have to really pay attention to what's really due in the next week or so because teachers schedule so far out and the app doesn't visually differentiate what's immediate, near future, and far far away.
What this app offers that does work, BUT IS BURIED is a calendar view (the old school kind you'd hang on the wall) of assignments. Click on each individual date to see what assignments are due. This is found under the more tab.
TO POWERSCHOOL:
Can you, will you, include this calendar in the filter options of the assignment "tray" tab in the bottom navigation menu? It would be incredibly helpful and greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Keeps him accountable and I don't get the same ol answer when I ask, how are your grades this week? "Fine" What score did you get on your math test... "I dunno"
We have used for past 4 years and no complaints. I do see how the color change between the high and low grades can and would cause anxiety for some though...maybe that should be taken into consideration. All in all it does what's designed to do.

It won't let me stay logged on! So frustrating to try to see my grades cause when I log on I have to log on again to a site within a site so it staying logged on would be so much better.
Can it at least refresh. It doesn't refresh, it says it is but its not. I work so hard in school so can it at least refresh?
The red color is just unnecessary. Maybe if we could set a number per person the the grade turns red then I would be better. For example: I want to easily see the grades that are good (green), okay grades (yellow) and grades that are bad (red). So I could set all grades 79 and lower to be red and all grades 80 to 89 be yellow and all grades 90 above be green. And other people could set the color to their own standards or chose to not have colors at all!
I am thankful for PowerSchool but at this moment in time it is not convenient whatsoever for me.

It's mandatory that I use PowerSchool for my school. So the app is fine. But why the red and green arrows? My grade went from a 100 to a 98 and it's all red. These aren't stocks. They don't need little arrows to show growth or deterioration. We can figure it out. School is stressful enough for students these days. Seeing their grade drop can be sad enough, but things like the color red and down arrows can trigger an even more dramatic and harmful response to grades dropping, even if it's just one or two points. Also, if a parent is very authoritarian about grades, seeing the color red and the down arrow, even for just a minuscule decrease, may cause the parent to see the situation as worse than it is and punish their child harshly. The arrows and colors are an unnecessary part of this new app, and all I ask is that you remove this function, or maybe add an option to turn this function on or off. Thank you.

Overall very nice, however...

I definitely enjoy the new features of PowerSchool. However, I have a couple problems. I'm not a big fan of how the app shows your grade in a red color with a red down arrow whenever it decreases. To be honest, that just freaks me out. Yes, I know, it's more of a personal issue, but every time I open up the app and see red I'm like, "Ahh! My grades are suffering!!!"... but then see that a grade only went down .5 points. So it would be great if there was an option to disable that particular feature. Also, I don't know if everyone experiences this problem, but I have to keep logging in after just a few hours of no use. It would be so much more convenient if I was always logged in. Otherwise, I definitely prefer this app over the old one. :)

Overall it is a good app!

Also, there is no way I can view my other semester grades from previous school years like I was able to with other apps. Please fix these two problems powerschool. My school finally recieved new codes because powerschool had issues. The same login I had since ninth grade was switched this year( twelfth grade) because of the app. The good things is I am able to see when my grade dropped/increased. Whether you do need it or not because your kids are responsible or not, here as a parent you can be proud when your kids do well and put them in check when they're not doing what they should be. I really appreciate this app; it loads quickly and shows all that I need it to.
Just one idea- instead of having green boxes when the grades go up and red when they go down, it might be better to have the colors be representative of the grades themselves. For example, I have one grade that went down from a 97 to a 93, so the box is red. I have another that went up from a 40 to a 50, so the box is green. I find that I'm actually happier about my F being less of an F than I am about my A. If As were green and Fs were red, the color balance between good and bad moods would be a little more representative of what people should actually be feeling about their grades.

Yeah, um, did we need a whole new app for this?

The answer to that question is no, no we did not. This new app works a whole lot faster, sure, and just plain looks neater but that's why there're these handy little things called updates. I only switched to this one because the original won't display my new schedule. This one also seems to have a few issues as well -- such as the fees screen. I know I have a few fees for some classes and clubs and stuff I'm in, but of course they're not being displayed. The old one never had a problem with this, so why bother with making a whole new app? Why not just update the old one, which was perfectly fine? I also think it's worth mentioning that both apps used their own GPA calculator, which would be great if my school didn't use a weighted scale to calculate GPA, meaning it's possible to have over a 4.0. I wouldn't need to even look at my report card if this app could figure out how to do that. So, if we're getting an entirely new app, at least attempt to justify it and give us a true reason to download.
