Desperately needs updates
This game has good gameplay and does dungeon crawler right, but frequent frame drops and freezes make it unplayable. Needs a stability update

Extremely short
This game looks amazing and plays pretty well, but you can literally beat it start to finish in around 10 minutes.

about an hour of fun platforming and exploration :)
This game won't last you all that long unless you become addicted to trying to speed through it, but I found it rewarding and enjoyable. And it has a few secret rooms, and a good difficulty curve (with a couple legitimately hard parts).

I would give 5🌟's but...
There is this terrible freeze big glirtching it's way out of your once beautiful my smooth playing game, no it's so sad to play, the frames are lagging, and anytime you save the game (or attempt to), it automatically freezes, and takes a while to go back to "normal" (still glitching), please fix as I want my game back!

Super dangerous dungeons is WAY better than this boring game. It's a TOTAL waste of money! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME!

MAJOR BUG
Ok everything was working great: BEAUTIFUL GAME, until I was killed by an arrow midair (like game over killed) THEN everything went down hill! Whenever I reached game over it would freeze (music still playing) and I would have to reset the game. Also, the framerate became terrible and the music is all choppy. I have no idea how to fix this or if it's just my phone (btw got this phone a week ago so probably not) fix this asap!!!!!

Short but awesome!!!!!
It's very short but it's worth buying. I beat it in under 2 hours but some of the best hours ever please give it a try. It's fun.
Final boss not worth it though pls fix and no "NEW GAME" button so no replays 😭

Awesome Game! Please Support This!
I'm always looking for games that remind me of Zelda, as I am a huge LoZ fan, but rarely do I see anything as close to home as Tiny DD was! Although it was short, it was also cheap. So that makes me think of how awesome it would be is Adventure Islands took a bit more time and make a larger sequel to this game! That would be AWESOME!!! I would totally buy a game like that for a higher price; even pay in-app purchases to go to new dungeons! (I've never payed in-app purchases so far) So please but this cheap game and enjoy the crap out of it like I did!! ^_^

Great game!
Pros:
1. Good exploration.
2. Beautiful GameBoy styled graphics.
3. Sounds and music are good.
Cons:
1. Only 1 level!!!!!!! Took me 30 minutes. I was expecting at least 3 or 4 dungeons.
2. Only 1 song for the whole 30 minutes of gameplay.
3. Controls are ok, could be improved... Sometimes i wanted to press a button but ended up pressing something else. I guess something with hit detection?
Bottom line, i would love if the game was longer and had more but this is just lame for a paid app.

Bugs make it unplayable, sadly
I was having a lot of fun playing this game until after awhile it would do this thing where it hiccups frequently. That makes it pretty much impossible to play, since you need to make precise movements to play the more difficult levels. Judging from the reviews, it seems like a lot of people are having this problem, so it's not just my device (6+).

OK not GREAT
Just bought the game yesterday and beat the game today. Even at $0.99, I don't think it's worth it. Sword of Xolan is the same price, and definitely worth it's weight in gold. It's an OK game for someone looking for a little time to kill, but if you want to be immersed in an adventure, this is not it.
PROS:
-cool retro background music
-controls not cluttered on the screen
-various levels of difficulties
-Game Center achievements
-time trial for the brave and quick
-hidden pathways for finding fruit treasures
CONS:
-frame lags, crashes, and freezes, especially in the level before the boss (running from 6+)
-short (one of those quick games to pass by time)
-boss level too easy
-getting hit makes character jump 3 feet back (this is especially hard if you get hit near the lava by bats when getting the key for the boss door)
-momentum causes landing (from jumping) to not be accurate so you must control the character if jumping between ledges
-a bug where if a character goes near the furthest corner of the ledge, he is stuck there and can't move
I only got 2 of the 4 fruits. I didn't bother trying to find the rest because the game kept crashing/freezing when I died.
I had better expectations for this game. I hope they fixed the freezing/lags.

Great little game with bug issues
The game ran flawlessly until it gets to the final key. I'm using an iPhone 6, a game of this level of complexity should not have an issue running on my phone. It will freeze momentarily mid jump or mid attack which is making it impossible to beat. Fix the glitches and I will give 5 stars.

Nice Concept
I really like the concept of the game and would enjoy it so much more if it didn't freeze up so much making some hard parts of the dungeon even harder, even after update still badly glitchy.

Buggy at end
Nearing the end and ive got the same problems as other reviewers. Cant go any further due to lags, frame skips, and frustratingly have to exit the app every time i die or it freezes. Was a lot of fun until the problems started!

A small gem
This is a compact adventure that will give you a fun action-packed hour or two. Great graphics, music and level designs. I experienced no bugs or frame rate drop as others reported. I did experience some issues with the controls (I think the hit box is too small for the jump buttons and all of the buttons in general). But it's a minor thing. This is a super game and an obvious labor of love from the dev.

Great game, even gifted it to my nephew, but the game freezes each time u die requiring restarting the game - pls fix this.

Great game with bugs
GREAT gameplay, but same bugs as others have reported - on iPhone 6, serious lags and frame skips make the harder areas near the end impossible to navigate. App must be force-quitted after each death. Only taking off one star cuz I'm a developer too and I know how hard it is, but please fix ASAP!

Great retro platformer, but very short.
I'm a little torn on how to rate this one. The game is fun, well made and has decent controls. Where it really shines though is the pleasing, retro GameBoy feel. The game's creators did an excellent job of creating a game that really feels like it could have been released on the GameBoy in the late 80's.
All that said, this game is SHORT. I finished it in one sitting. Took maybe an hour. Feels more like one level from a game rather than a full game. Worth 99 cents? Hmmm, that's debatable. I've paid 99 cents for games with more play value.
If you are a child of the 80's, or a fan of retro platformers, you'll enjoy this game. Just don't expect much bang for your buck.
Side note: I did not experience any of the bugs that others have complained of. Played smoothly on an ipad 4 from start to finish.

Fun game but...
Echoing what others have said --- I was really enjoying this game on my iPhone 6+ --- it made me nostalgic for the days of the original game boy. But as I'm nearing the end, bugs start to creep in. Precise platforming becomes extremely difficult because of random frame skips, often while jumping. On top of that, recovering from death at the nearest save point begins to take an excessively long time. These bugs are so frustrating, because you are already invested in an otherwise very solid title up until this point. Once these bugs are fixed I have no problem recommending it, but these should have been addressed before release.

Fun retro Metroidvania platformer
Pros: Classic GameBoy creamed spinach graphics; nice ability progression; decent spacing of save statues (at least for awhile)
Cons: Suffers from framerate drops and slowdown in area w lots of moving elements or background animation, which makes gameplay frustrating... Hopefully performance issues get fixed because it's a nice little game.

Great game but very buggy towards the end
Such a fun, well designed game! But starting about 70% of the way in, becomes paralyzingly glitchy during gameplay, and requires restarting after every death and most game save attempts.

Great little game but unplayable on 6+ at end game.
I love this charming little game. I was having a great time playing this game until I reached the end of the game. It freezes constantly and had frame rotate drops that make the game nearly unplayable. I have found myself manually restarting the app allot. I haven't been able to complete the game because of these issues. Please fix devs!

Very buggy late game
Was great till it kept hitching up and crashing towards the end of the game. Almost unplayable. And this is on an iPad Air 2 with everything else closed

One of the AppStore's greatest.
Saw this game in the "Best New Apps" section and decided to get it, and am very happy I did! This is one of the better apps on the AppStore. It has old GB graphics and plays like a classic platformer. It is excellent and I highly recommend it.
