Overall, this game is Amazing! Good controls good camera control and no ads. Although I have one question. Where in the world is the toaster in lvl. 2?!?!??

This game is priced just right - it doesn't cost a lot of dough. You may have heard that the controls are crummy, but it's meant to be challenging. If you're somebody with a sense of humor, who lefse lot, or who loaves games, this game is rye-t for you. So pumpernickel into the iTunes store and take a bite out of I Am Bread!

I thought the premise of this game sounded entertaining so I figured I would buy it to play occasionally. I've spent a total time f maybe 4 hours playing this game and I'm already done. I'm very disappointed that I spent $5 on a game that's worth $1 at best. There were only 7 levels and each level was small and fairly disappointing. On top of that, yes the controls are bad. Sometimes I fling my thumbs all around the screen and the bread just will not move. I think the game should be challenging, but I think that the challenge should come through better level design and not through inconsistent controls.

This game was fun. Then it was the next minute. This totally lost it after playing for about a minute. I feel like it's a bad idea but well done, but you can't save a bad idea. This lifeboat didn't quite make it.

Unfortunately the game controls are ridiculously hard to maneuver, which I'm a gamer...i could get over that, except the camera makes that impossible. You're expected to render a 3d environment in your mind with unfamiliar controls because you can't control the camera properly... Why even give camera control if the game overrides it anyways?

Fix the camera control to user defined only and I'll give 4 stars, refine the controls a bit and this game deserves 5.

This game isn't special, the controls are jacked and don't work smoothly. It kept my attention span for a solid 3 minutes before I lost it and had to delete it it's boring tedious and frustrating. It's also very repetitive. If there is a free version I recommend you try that first then buy but this was not a good experience.

Again with the interface... the physics are good, but the way you move almost makes it impossible to do anything. When I tap to bump, it either does nothing, or jumps straight in the air.

FOR $5 it is a good game. The levels are made very well, and it is a great great idea. The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star game is the controls... hopefully we can see an update with some easier movements. But that's what makes the game challenging I suppose.

Now that developers can make tvOS games require a MFi controller, please bring this game to the Apple TV!

This app is seriously fun to play once you get the hang of the controls. I do wish you could pick the camera angle better- that made it much harder than it had to be. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

I've been having so much fun with this game, because is the only game you can actually be bread, out of all the things. But, I'm kinda impatient, but I like a good challenge. The other levels were great, but now I'm on the Garden level, and I've never been so frustrated in my life. If only it wasn't so windy in that level! But other than that, BUY THIS GAME!

This is easily one of the best mobile games I've ever played. The controls can be difficult at first, but once you get used to them, it shouldn't be too hard to move around. Each level is filled with amazing details, including bountiful bread puns. If you buy it, I recommend using headphones because of the great soundtrack. My only complaint is that the camera can be hard to control. This can make levels more challenging than they were intended to be, particularly the Garage level. But overall, I really enjoyed this game and believe that it was easily worth the $2.

it's really fun and addicting until The game randomly kicks me completely out of the app back to my home screen right in the middle of a level and I also wish the game was a little more sensitive to the touch of a finger that way it would be easier to play and more worth the money. But other than that it's a fun game.

This is one amazing game. Just like Surgeon Simulator, it is infurating, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find that it is rather easy to control. I have only one suggestion. Please make it more like the computer version. Add the different modes. At the VERY least, I'd like to see Free Roam mode, but Rampage mode, Anti-Gravity mode, and The Bagel Race would be nice. Those modes were very enjoyable to watch, and, without a computer to get I am Bread on, would more than likely bring this game to it's full potential.

Is this game related to surgeon simulator!? I finished the episodes and epilogue, when I made the car crash with the dude in it. The dudes name was Bob just like in surgeon simulator and the hand that reached in the car was like the hand from surgeon simulator, I knew cuz the hand had a watch on it. But if this game is related to surgeon simulator that that's pretty cool. 🙂

I am Bread is a 3-Dimensional world with a comedic storyline and feel.

When you first play the game, the controls are a bit difficult to utilize, but it's all in the style of the game. It's also difficult to get to where you need to go to get toasted without touching the floor for an extended time, but once you realize how to do it, it becomes obvious what you have to do.

Many would find this game difficult, and thus why so many bad reviews saying "Too hard". But for those looking for a challenge and some humor to go along with it, this is the right game for you.

I beat the game in approximately 2 hours or so, and found it very satisfying and humorous to beat. Completing the levels require common sense, logic, and a heightened state of awareness.

Overall, a very fun game, (in my opinion) with difficult controls and a sentient piece of bread determined to be toasted. Great.

this game is extremely hard to play. You cant move the bread around properly and its not user friendly for a phone. It looks like more of a game you would play with a remote. The DESIGN is amazing though, it is very detailed and very close to reality, i was impressed. anyways, i usually dont write reviews but i was really upset with the fact that it was hard to play, because i had high expectations for this game and because it is expensive($4,99).

I like this game very much, and despite what others are saying, I found the games controls to be fine. I think they are easier than the computer version, and we all know the company is terrible at controls (see Markiplier).

This is probably one of the best games on the App Store. It's mechanics and controls are very original. I would recommend getting the game on Xbox and PC as well. It's worth it just to have it everywhere. The only problem I have with the app is that it takes up a lot of space, and has very rare but annoying lag spikes.

The controls need to be completely revamped because of how terrible they are. They make me not want to play this game because of how frustrating they are and how hard it makes completing a level. It makes the game move very slowly and when you fall on the ground on it is quite difficult to get on top of the countertop not to mention how incredibly fast your edible meter is drained. Also another big problem is you cannot zoom in or out. This really bugs me because I was playing on the second level and a picture fell on top of me and I was stuck so i was trying to get out but the problem was that I was completely zoomed in and I couldn't zoom out or move the camera around because I was on top of the couch against the wall but I ended up getting out after tapping and swiping vigorously but I was still stuck in an awkward close up of the bread without knowing where I needed to move to. But I was able to look past those aspects and I found this game to be pretty fun so I'm gonna rest with 2 stars unless the controls get changes at the least then I would give a 4 star

When I saw other people play this game it looked pretty fun! So I downloaded it for $4.99 and then I went and tried it out....wow! I think the game's great! Some people say that the controls are hard but I find it super easy while still fun. It kept me on the edge of me seat and my fingers all shaky!!! A lot of these reviews say that the controls are "broken" and that they make the game "impossible to play", but that is not true at all. I am using an iPhone 6 and the controls are perfectly fine. They are almost the same as they are on the steam version, but just a tad bit harder. Definitely not impossible to use, though.

I'm giving it a 4/5 rating because of 2 different things: the amount of levels and the grip. There are only the main "story" levels, and there are like 7 of them. After that, there is nothing else. I know this was made for mobile devices not too long ago, but in the future, I'd like there to be more levels and/or game modes.

The other problem, it the grip. Or actually, the fact that there is no grip at all. It just makes the game far too easy, and it would be nice to have a grip meter, even if it is for a longer period of time.

The game itself is very good, and I found the controls not easy, but also not extremely difficult... But once you beat the story levels, that's it... There's no other modes in this one, where as in the Steam version (which I have), there are a whole bunch of different modes to choose from...

Plus, there's a thing or two that bug me a bit whenever I play:

1: No grip meter (I know that makes it easier, but it feels like cheating to me...)

2: Occasionally, when you are hanging on to something and you swing around really fast, your bread can glitch and suddenly let go. (can get REALLY frustrating in some levels)

3: Almost no replay value. Sure, you can go back and play the story levels again, but there are no other modes at all... 😕 it gets kinda boring once you beat the story. Heck, even a free-roam mode would make things more interesting...

Other than that, the game is amazing! Just please another mode or two! 😉

The soundtrack has an amazing grip on me, so much so that I find myself feeling cheered on by music. Furthermore, the basic concept of this game is so outrageously inventive that it's fun to just watch someone else play for the first time and try to grasp the concept. The only problems I have with the game is the fact that there are no "New Game Plus" modes, if you will, and the fact that there isn't a grip meter. Without it, the game's too easy and it feels like cheating.

This game is such a waste of money and is nearly impossible. One CORNER of the bread must be touching something so half the time at the beginning of the level when it is laying on top of another piece of bread it won't move because it isn't touching anything. Also, you can only flip it over one flip at a time and it barely ever works correctly. Plus, if it falls on the ground and you try to climb up something it cannot go over an edge so it is impossible. Overall the game is stupid and you cannot move correctly this making the impossible.

Excellent graphics for such a free game! The most amazing thing is that even the places you don't need to pass have a lot of interesting details, meaning that you have a lot more to enjoy than just trying to achieve the goals. Some may say the control is awful, but how can an app without challenge be a game? The only thing that should be considered as a problem is that view is terrible! Using the camera and eye icon doesn't solve the problem! And one more thing, I want a lot more than only 8 levels!😁

I think the reason people say the controls are hard is because they just started playing without looking at the tutorial. Also you shouldn't get frustrated at the game if you fail you should laugh at your failure. Plus the controls are supposed to be hard not easy you wouldn't expect controlling a piece of bread to be easy.

The reason I didn't give this game 5 stars is because there is only 8 levels so there is really anything to do after you finish them.

I finally figured out how to fix the glitch were if you get on the game it shows your goals and won't let you play the game all you have to do is turn your device all the way off and then turn it back on then turn get back on the app and it should be fixed and by the way great game.

This game may trick you due to its amazing PC counterpart, but it has no controls. Contrary to everyone here it doesn't have bad controls. It doesn't have any. It is entirely luck whether or not the game decided if sliding up meant climb up (like it's supposed to) or jump of into the sink. Every thing is at different heights but the only way movement works is if your on a completely flat surface. Overall bad game design and a sloppy port. They just slapped it onto an iPad and called it playable.

This game is terrible. I was looking for a fun game to keep myself occupied. I saw this game, and for the most part the reviews were pretty good. I downloaded it and opened the app. The first thing wrong with this app is that I couldn't play level one for three days because the app would shut itself off every time I wanted to play. I tried to ignore this and a couple days later decided to give it a try. It didn't shut off this time, which was a good sign. I played level one and no matter how hard I tried, I could not get past the table, which may be due to the TERRIBLE controls. I tried for two days and still no progress. Download this app if you want to constantly fail or never actually play due to lag. The fact is, I have no idea why this game with lousy controls, constant lag, and just plain awful graphics costs almost a dollar. I have seen better free games than this. The bottom line is that this is a candidate for the WORST game I have ever played.

So I got this game on PC and loved it. So I got it on my iPad and thought it would be the same. But on PC you even have more control than this. First of all on PC at least you can pick which ones stick. But on this one the controls auto stick and you basically have no control over which ones stick. Which makes it way more difficult than it should. I rated it 2 stars because I still love the game. But when your controls are meant to be bad at least give them a little control of the game. So just don't bother with this version and get it on PC

This game is getting too much hate because of the controls. The controls were designed to be difficult because the game is partially a rage game. It is made to make you scream when something that is sometimes so simple can be very infuriating. The backstory was brilliant, and a sequel could be amazing. The levels were very complex, pleasingly hard, and I was really upset when it ended. I suggest that in future updates the Baguette Rampage mode from other versions was carried over, because that mode would be a great stress reliever after doing story mode for a long time. This game is flawless, and I look forward for more!

It takes time to learn the controls. Be patient and play it a few times and you'll get it. I'm moving this little guy around real smoothly, even doing tricks now. The bad reviews claiming terrible/broken controls must be from people with add. (Looks like the world is filled with them). If it isn't your thing then it isn't your thing, but don't say the controls are terrible.

I recently downloaded this app about an hour ago. For the first half an hour, I couldn't even get it to load past the tutorial because it kept crashing. Finally, I got it to load and was able to start the first level. Now every time I play, the app crashes halfway through the first level. I've tried closing out of my apps in the background, restarting my iPad, and even playing in airplane mode. But it still crashes EVERY TIME. I am not impressed.

I really like this game. But the controls/mechanics can get really intimidating. This is particularly true for climbing. The idea is to long press on the screen to hang on to the wall and slide your finger to climb. But often times my finger reaches the top of the screen and I can no longer swipe up without lifting my finger and hence falling back down.

Get this game now. It's a wonderful blend of adventure, puzzle, humor and more than a dash of absurdity. At times the controls can be a little flaky but not enough to cause any major issues or distractions.

I really wanted to like this game. The concept is fun and the physics of the world (you can interact with almost anything) is engaging. It's just too difficult. I couldn't even finish the first level after 15 min.

If it was fun, I might have tried longer to get better at it, but the gameplay is just frustrating and confusing.

I spent 10 minutes over 5 tries getting to the toaster in the first level which I thought would be an automatic goal/toast. Instead you must maneuver the toast into a very narrow slot, something I ran out of time doing.

I then tried using the stovetop to toast, much easier, but then it's not clear what you need to do then. Toast both sides to 100%? Get back to the plate?

The look of this game is great but it's gameplay and design is half-baked.

I have found that "I am Bread" is a very fun game, and certainly very 'original.'

However, there is a bug in the game that happens when I try to play the Garage level. It either crashes during the loading screen, or a few seconds after the game actually starts. And I have tested this many times. I have an iPod touch 5th generation, and so I am unsure whether this is consistent to all users of the game, or if it happens to me only.

Ok, so when I heard about this game, I thought it sounded so stupid. But then when I downloaded it, I thought it was so much fun....and it is!!!! This is a sad and broken mobile port of an otherwise fun game. The graphics suffer a downgrade, but that is expectable- many devices probably couldn't handle the stander game. The real kicker that ruins the game is the controls. These are the controls that will cause world unity, as everyone unites to destroy them for their crimes against humanity. You would be much better off just to buy the desktop version, which not only has functional controls, but much more content as well.

This game is the weirdest game u can play, so I encourage everyone reading this to buy the app not I repeat NOT a waste of money. But here is what I have to say. Creator, I LOVE 👍 the app, but in the lounge, level 2, where is the toaster? Again, everyone reading, BUY THE APP AWSOME APP, but in the lounge level 2, I don't see a toaster.

It's a great game, and it's fun finding all the different ways you can maneuver through a level and end up becoming toast. However, I do have one complaint. The area over the fridge by the chainsaw in the garage has poor connections. It's like I try to reach the wall behind the chainsaw and I can't reach it. After about a minute or two of frustrated flipping the bread will eventually rise up through the air and get to where I want to be, but by then, I can't finish in the time that I want to so I can't get the a++ rating

I love this game, but I wish there were more levels. I know some people reading this will be omg I can't even complete the first level. After you like complete the first one and you get the hang of it it's too easy, then I got bored and deleted it. So please add more levels soon!! And also when I do go off the app because someone texted me or something and I try to go back to my level, and the game always restarts, so the pause thing doesn't really help in the new date anyways. So if you could somehow fix that, that would be nice. Other wise great addicting/frustrating addicting app!

I always wanted to play this game, but my steam account was hacked, but now (thanks to bossa) I can play on the go! I tried I Am Bread of my friends computer and I thought it was IMPOSSIBLE, but the mobile version is a little easy-er because the mobile version makes it so you can somewhat move, and no grip! Can you add endless mode, it would have a town you can explore, you can go in a few buildings like a bakery, and get sprinkles and stuff on you, also, take away the edibiliidy so you can explore, Also add birds and other animals that try to bring you to their nest or home, such as a bird can bring you to a nest. Also add some other stuff that you would like to add!!!

This is not 'I Am Bread'. This is 'I Am Bread: The Lesser iOS Edition with Touch Controls'. The graphics are toned down a bit which I can understand. The way you control your bread is very different obviously, but that translates to playing the game in a completely different way in comparison to the PC version. Precision control preferred for flipping switches and maneuvering tight spaces doesn't work with the touch controls.

If all I knew was this iOS version of the game, I'd be somewhat happy. It's fun but too short. But I know of the full PC version with its other scenarios like berserking with a French baguette and this iOS version does not come with thos fun side quests. It was very disappointing to find that out. I'm not happy about that and if this version doesn't update to include those additions soon, my rating will stay at 3 of 5. At the very least, make it known in the title or description that this is not the full game.

This game is very wanted in the community of mobile gaming. With the import of Surgeon Simulator to the market, people wanted I Am Bread to be here. Please understand that my review is meant to show what I've found that I think should be fixed in the game. It is good and worth spending $5 on.

I have enjoyed playing it, but found something's making the already challenging game harder. One is the camera. There is no way to set how you want to camera, which makes the game think it knows best when you can't see what you are doing at all. Even using the camera on the side to adjust stays until you move again, then goes to where it thinks is best.

Another problem is that a failure can lead straight to the next room. It doesn't matter if you even did anything, you can get to the last map. It makes less rewarding when you do win.

Finally, and perhaps the worst problem, is that the control sometimes decidedly you aren't in charge. I could flick my screen for a minute and get almost no response. It always wants you to connect to whatever you are touching and doesn't let you chose what you hold on with.

I never played the game on the computer, so I'm unaware if these are consistent to the base material. Through in the first 30 minutes of playing, these made the game nearly impossible to want to continue. I mean to only inform what I've found to be annoying "mechanics " in the game, and in no way want to have this be what decided if people buy the game.

I've had this game on Steam for a while now, and while I haven't beaten it, I still love it. Now, some people say the controls are terrible. And yes, they are. Or so it seems. Once you learn how to move efficiently, or, say, PLAY THE TUTORIAL, the game is much more fun. I've also seen reviews saying that there isn't a toaster in level 2, and they would be correct. Instead of getting your perfect bread on a silver platter, you have to use your brain to find another way to toast, and if that's too difficult for you, you need to reconsider your life choices. This game is absolutely amazing! COMPLETELY worth the 5$! The people complaining about the controls are just people too lazy to understand them. Once you get the hang of them you can zip across the map at light speed. I do suggest getting this game! Don't listen to the people saying it is bad!
