To use ReunionTouch, you need to have Reunion 11 installed on your Mac. You also need to have a Dropbox account.
ReunionTouch is a companion product to Reunion 11 for Mac.
ReunionTouch is a single, universal app for Apple's mobile devices.
Take your family tree with you! View, navigate, search, and edit your information on the go. You'll always be ready to add people, add pictures, document new information, and make corrections to your data — all while automatically staying in sync with Reunion for Mac.
ReunionTouch takes advantage of all iPhone and iPad screen sizes.

Dropbox App, NOT just dropbox account

The description here says you have to have a "Dropbox account" not that you have to install the Dropbox app on the Mac (which in Sept 2016) had some serious security concerns well documented online. So, is there a way to use this by just copying the files to dropbox (just copying for me sends dropbox a zip of the Reunion 11 folder and copying the package contents individually is not recognized by the app), minus the dropbox app? Otherwise, the description should be updated to accurately reflect reality that a dropbox account is not the only thing required so you don't waste nearly $10 on something you can't use.

Trouble using dropbox. Old method of syncing easier. Dont use reunion any longer. Got familytree.

New version...New charge!

Integrates well with Mac version. Don't I like paying for each new version of Reunion everytime they make changes both on the moble and desktop. I think they should consider giving long time users a break! You would think that if you already payed for the app (and keep paying for each upgrade) that you shouldn't have to pay for each new upgrade on every device you use.

Easy to use. Love the app and Reunion

I already am a satisfied Reunion and Dropbox user and already had my family file in Dropbox to make sync between computers and devices seamless, so the app build on that functionality, which I appreciate.
I have added security to certain Dropbox files in mobile devices (use a passcode to open), so if this is your concern maybe this can work for the Reunion files too, although I haven't tried it myself.

Needs more syncing options

I had reluctantly installed Dropbox just for syncing my file from my Mac. After recently discovering the dirty tricks that Dropbox in doing on the Mac , I deleted it completely from all of my devices. So now I have a useless app since the developer will not support other syncing or manually transferring your files.

Forces use of insecure dropbox

It's too bad that Leister doesn't respect our desire for the more secure option, which they had in the previous version - diect sync. Please bring this back for those of us who prefer to not put our family information into the cloud.

Many improvements

I'm very pleased with the changes form Reunion to Reunion Touch. Dropbox is an excellent sync tool that just works so well with no hassle. It allows for collaboration if you choose. I am collaborating with siblings and I control their access. As for concerns about security of Dropbox, there are some, but probably it's better than typical internet connected computers.

Disappointed

Like others who have written reviews I am very disappointed that the only way to sync on the new version is with Dropbox. For one thing I am in China and Dropbox is blocked here. There is also the issue of putting everything on the internet that reviewers have written about.

It just works!!!

I love the Dropbox synchronization. The past version(s) of IOS Reunion required a separate purchase for iPhone and iPad. This app works on both iPhone and iPad. No longer do I need to do a manual upgrade of the app on my iPad and then another for the iPhone. The overall upgrade and new interface from the original apps for iPhone and iPad are welcome improvements especially in the area of multimedia.

Easy to use

This app is easy to use and syncs all my information well from Reunion on my Mac (which is where I spend most of my time). I have Dropbox and have no concerns using it

Disappointed in Reunion11

I've been a big fan of Reunion for years but am very disappointed that they force you to use Dropbox now to synch files. Essentially it moves the files on my iMac and then shares them on the internet. I thought it would just transfer my file to my iPhone like all their previous releases via Bluetooth. Now my personal data as well of all living members of my family is in a cloud service on the internet. I tried to delete it but once the files are there it takes 60 days to permanently delete them. And who knows who is mining that data in the meantime or in which part of the world that data is stored. I contacted Reunion and their attitude was "oh well, you just don't understand." I'm a private person and if I didn't care about privacy, I'd just use Ancestry. Caveat emptor! If you use this service you are storing your files on the internet.

Love 11 but then there's Dropbox

Reunion 11 is another great improvement but I was disappointed that manual syncing was replaced with Dropbox. Not everyone wants or needs Dropbox and not everyone needs to be synced every nanosecond. It's a family tree after all.
It would have been nice to have had either option: Dropbox or manual sync.
Right now this app is of no value to me and the lack of manual syncing should have been better identified so I would not have bought this app.

Well-designed and fully featured genealogy software

Wonderful application on the Mac, iPhone and iPad. I've been a user for years and the new Dropbox synchronization is great. I no longer need to manually synchronize; it just "happens" now. The functionality provided complements Reunion on Mac adding more control over data while on the iPhone and iPad. Just one example is that Reunion Touch allows viewing and modifications to family multimedia in addition to person multimedia.

Storage Issues

I do not know how to rate this app, as I have been unable to use it. Reunion 11 has increased storage requirements that severely impact the use of drop box. My family file grew to 3.3GB upon upgrading to reunion 11. This is to large to allow use of the free Dropbox storage, requiring an upgrade to 1TB, at a cost of $99/year. I don't think that this was well thought out.

One shortcoming

It is very important to know that a family file cannot be initiated in ReunionTouch. A files must be imported via Dropbox.
