Great but…

I love the app but I wish the rewards were easier to use. I can’t say how many times I’ve tried to apply a reward but it’s not the one I need. It would be if the options were laid out once you add your reward type. For example, if you add a reward for an appetizer. Once you add the reward it prompts a pop up asking which appetizer you’d like to add. Just an idea.

Too many mistakes, too often.

Their mistakes on this app have cost me time and money. The mistake range from inaccurate address for delivery to the app auto toggling to pick up randomly, and you can’t catch it until it’s been ordered. It happens too often to say it was a one time, I have given them the benefit of the doubt. Now, no more, this app is GARBAGE.

The app is slow and non responsive

The app was already massive slow and non-responsive, now after this last update the only button is responsive is rewards. I cannot get the account tab to open anymore and the app is not recognizing my unique number for my points when I enter it and I tried entering as soon as left the cashier. I want my 100 points and to see my actual point history. I need app support

Food was cold

Received ice cold rice, and the rest of the meal was lightly warm, the entrees looked all dried out. I threw it away as I feared it was spoiled.
I placed the order for a drive thru pick up and I had to wait for a text before I could proceed to the drive thru. Once I got to the window I was told to go park out front and they would bring it out.

NEVER AGAIN!!!

I used this app for the first time not realizing Panda Express uses DoorDash to deliver. Had I known this I would not have placed an order for delivery, due to many bad past experiences with DoorDash. My order was delivered, but no knock on the door, or ringing the doorbell to inform me that the driver left my order at the door. Upon reviewing my door cam shortly after the delivery, the camera caught and recorded the driver complaining and swearing to himself about the walk he had to make from the main entrance of the apartment complex to my door!!! Sad sad sad!!! I wish I had not left a 20% tip for this driver…quite evident that he’s not thankful he even has a job. My first order has also become my last!!! There are plenty of other choices of restaurants to order from and this is being chalked up as a learning situation and put on my list of NEVER AGAIN!!!

Can't even pick the right location

Wanted to order for pickup but mistakenly didn't check the address it gave me thinking it would pick the nearest panda express near me but no it decides to pick the panda express 20 miles away rather than 1 mile away and then I couldn't even cancel my order and I can't get a refund.

App is cumbersome and incomplete

I work in multiple cities. I placed an order on the app. Most apps will prompt you if you are a distance away from the location chosen their app doesn’t do that. I place an order 45 miles away from my current location their directions under the help section how to delete an order, but there is no place to delete an order in the app itself even though their own company help site says how to do it. So I had to drive an hour to retrieve my dinner, which was not edible or spend another 25 hours ordering from a closer location tried calling the restaurant on three different phone lines and they kept saying I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you though I can hear them fine And I was not in an area where there should’ve been a problem with phone service. There’s no place to contact corporate no place to cancel the order and no way to contact the store. I’ll be deleting the app.

Scammers

For one they don’t give an option to cancel the order so you have to call the location to cancel. Two they don’t give you all the points they claim you will earn. I bought an order and it gave me 200 points but now none of those points are there. They also take part of the drivers tip for the storefront workers but don’t disclose that to customer nor drivers and storefront workers have openly admitted never seeing those tips! Wonder who gets the proceeds then? Just like there’s a delivery fee but they have a 3rd party delivery service pick up the order so who gets that? Can’t blame it on utensils and what-not because I don’t order those extra and wouldn’t be charged for those if I picked up in store. There’s many flaws with the app itself design and user friendly wise. Just use a delivery service.

Confusing until I logged in

I thought I was specifying an order but nothing made sense until I found I needed to log in. I wish the log in function would have displayed along with all the confusing stuff there was. Like I was picking a location and the app was displaying a previous order as if I was ordering it now, ( but I didn’t want that stuff) all before I realized things weren’t making sense. Once I entered my first plate things looked logical. Then I specified my second and third plates and enlarged them for $1.50 each. I wanted to go back to enlarge that first plate but didn’t see that as an edit option.

I’m not mad I’m just disappointed

The app flow needs a lot of work. Why not just have a simple order button versus these big boxes that are basically ads that don’t even take you to the advertised product. The “rewards” program or fortune offered me a promo for a family meal - I’ve never orders a family meal before so why offer me a promo I likely won’t use? They also don’t take advantage of geofencing so instead of the order going to the restaurant literally in front of me it went to the last restaurant I ordered from across town. Maybe having a pop up that says you’re not near this location or pulling a McDonalds and auto updating the location - this avoids unnecessary customer service contacts and chargebacks too.

I will always order via delivery mode on the Panda Express apps!

Ok, I won’t ever go on door dash and order Panda Express delivery anymore. I’ll just order straight from the Panda Express apps because I swear the price is much cheaper. Plus, it’s door dash delivering the food anyway, but you’re ordering from Panda Express apps instead of door dash apps. The food items always arrive on time with no issues in between, so I’m satisfied with the way the Panda Express staff handle my food with professionalism and cleanliness. I always appreciate my local Panda Express. Of course, the door dash drivers have always been handling my meals with punctuality and grace as well. 10/10 recommend!

I’d like to say that this location is always on their A game . The orders are always accurate as I typically do mobile orders . 9/10 times the orders are ready before the time says they will be better . I would just like to give credit where it is due , because the Lawrenceville location is terrible as far as time goes and accuracy. It’s messy with sauce dripped all in the bag at the Lawrenceville location and not here at the mall of ga location. Everything from the Lawrenceville location always appears to be rushed and inaccurate 9/10 times . Mall of ga is great so give credit to all the employees at this location because they have a great team there . Keep up the great work!!!!!

Bad service

Arrived for my mobile order on time. Was told it would be another 5-10 minutes. They had no food cooked. Asked me to drive around. I asked if I could just sit there while I waited. She said no. Pull up to the front. She said we will bring it out. I waited for over 20 more minutes and started seeing people go in and get food and also from
Drive up. I drove over and parked went inside to see people eating and asked where my food was. She went and got the bag and handed it to me. Then proceeded to argue that she did not tell me they would bring it out. Very bad customer service still don’t know if she wanted me to keep driving around the building until they told me to stop?

Lahaina location stinks!

I live near there. They close at 7 PM. The restaurant closes at 6:30 and they direct you to the drive-through when you get to order, there’s three selections available. I believe that has been their process for some time. While I waited in the drive-through line, there were many many people attempting to walk in and there were people behind me that were waiting for the drive-through service. Of course there’s only one way in so if you decide not to get anything, you’re still waiting to get out, if you’re not gonna have a full service menu, there should be a sign before you get into line. So if I want to have any sort of decent selection, I have to order from the restaurant that’s an hour away.

Rewards

I love panda express, especially their plates! Their prices are really good! My only issue is rewards and I have a problem trying to use them either through my app online or in store. The last two times I tried to show the individual at cash register she called a supervisor over and gave me a drink, which which had nothing to do with the upgrade for the rewards. When I went in there last week, I had everything screenshot to show her the issue. She refused to look at it and said she would not honor it. This is not usual for Panda Express employees. If it happens today, and it’s not honored when I get there, and I did put it in my comments on my order, I will update my review and I think I will just switch from the Auburn store to the Bonney Lake store. you earn your rewards by making purchases and you should be able to use them and have them honored the way they are stated in the app. If something doesn’t work when you go to a store, they should be honored especially if you have screenshots.

Going that extra mile for customer satisfaction

I made a simple online order (one plate with super greens, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken) for pickup during the middle of the lunchtime rush. I also added a special request note to the order to “make with love”.
Pickup was very easy. I walked in, gave the cashier my order number, and it was there ready to go. I spent maybe 45 seconds in the building. I spent more time finding parking than I did inside the restaurant.
I opened the bag when I arrived home and they literally drew a bunch of hearts on the box. They definitely could have disregarded the note. I still would have paid for it, took it home and ate it. But now I’m eating it with a smile on my face.
Have you ever experienced an act of kindness where someone goes out of their way just because they can, and because they did it warms your heart? This is that sort of experience.

About the food: It was great. Not because of the taste. I’ve had it a hundred times, and you know what to expect when you go to Panda. But this time was great because the food was hot. Not just slightly warm because it’s been under a lamp. I actually had to let it cool down for a minute. Loved that.
About the restaurant: This is one of the cleanest locations I’ve been to, which is probably why this is my preferred store even though it’s not the closest.

Good Food, limited ordering

Food is consistently delicious and fresh at this location. Only issue is that when trying to order in the App, many items are unavailable. Today I could only order out of 6 items (bowl, plate, kids meal etc). I wanted to order spring rolls or rangoons but they were not an option. In the recent past I couldn’t order a family meal in the app, but when I went to the restaurant I could but had to wait to see if they would make items that I really wanted. Have never ordered right at closing, today I ordered at 11:15am. Not sure why this is.

Disconnect in process?

The app is fine. Easy to navigate and place an order. Viewing previous orders/receipts is a problem.
My primary issue is that when I order for pickup, staff at the location ask to see my confirmation or something on my phone. But there isn’t much to show them, and the order confirmation number, my name, etc is all in small text that is clearly not designed to be shown to a second person.
Maybe this is a problem only at one store, but it causes confusion and frustration, usually during a busy lunch rush. If I need to be doing something more than giving my name at the counter, I suggest copying Target’s order pickup solution: use a one-time auto generated PIN. Make that number appear in large print so an employee across the counter from me can read it.

Always great at this location! Great staff really pleasant and always friendly. They deserve at this location 5+ stars but the portion sizes are shrinking. Other than that, I’ve been to the rest and this ones the best! Hands down in cos this is the best Panda Express in the inland empire! Do yourself a favor a eat here! You won’t regret it and if you don’t like it I’ll donate to the charity they ask about here! Cheers

Likely the first and only time I will visit this new location…

I have gone to several other locations and often order online, sometimes WHILE sitting in a backed up drive through line to try to speed things up for myself and others. Tonight, I went to the drive through and asked for my mobile order, but was informed I could only get it by coming inside. Not even a “we'll do it this time, but in the future, you will need to plan on coming inside because we cannot hand your mobile order to you at the drive thru.”. (Do you even realize how ridiculous that sounds?). If I EVER come back here, it will be close to closing again, I will ORDER at the drive thru and hold up the line while I make up my mind what I want, and it will not be just a single plate order like tonight. I will make sure I order a big family meal, or multiple meals. My favorite lunch spot

I find myself at panda in Everett, Washington at the Evergreen Way in Casino store visit there 3 to 5 times a week. I am always greeted with the smile the counter always clean and appealing, and the manager. I do not know what her name is always makes sure that I’m happy her presence is known she is constantly busy. She is definitely an asset to your establishment. I can’t think of one single complaint. But I do have one thing I would like to ask please please pleasebring back the firecracker chicken. It was always a favorite of myself and my wife. July is coming up. Horrible customer service

I ordered food at the Harker Heights location and I was asked if 3 minutes was ok for what I wanted. I let the lady know that yes that would be fine. Everyone in line went through and they continued to get all the food ready 7 minutes pass I went to the counter and nobody acknowledged me. There was a few people in line, but not too busy that I should have been ignored. Finally, a worker asked if I needed help by then it had been 11 minutes since I had ordered and mind you not my food is sitting on the counter not under the warmer and I had asked how much longer on my food that I was told 3 minutes on. She replied we are super busy and working on it. I informed her my food has been sitting out this whole time and I don’t want cold food either. She then at that time tired to tell me it’s placed under a light which is a warmer. I said ma’am it’s on the counter and that isn’t the warmer. She quickly tried to sneak it under there, but I seen her do it. The poor service is very unprofessional

Not a good app

The first 2 times I used the app to get reward points added to my account the app really worked great. Yesterday I went into a Panda in the evening time to use the app, I kept getting weird messages like you can only use 1 coupon at a time which that was all I was using. I checked the cart to make sure I didn’t apply any other coupons. Then I turned my phone off a few times and it seemed like it would work but it would not. The third time it just kept loading and circling but not even the part to just get points was working. The app just froze up , I asked the employees on how to to use the app they were not helpful either. So I ended just paying more and leaving. The app needs to be fixed, there are serious problems with it.

Easy to navigate app but gives incorrect information

I signed up for the app for the first time. And there was some confusion with getting my order. So I do not go by my first name. I go by my middle name. Therefore, I signed up for the app with my middle name. However, when I placed the order with my credit card, it says next to the expected time to pick up my order, “head to the register and tell them mobile order ready for (my first name). I figure okay I guess my order will be under my legal name since it was paid with my card. My family and I get there and the employees can’t find it for the longest time. We tell them it might be under my middle name then. They are skeptical but we eventually get my order which WAS under my middle name. Why does the app say to ask for it under my legal first name if that is not what the order is under?? So confusing. Honestly just don’t include that phrase to “head to the register and tell them mobile order ready for ____” if that is inaccurate. I would have just asked for it under the name I put it under from the very beginning.

Best Panda

Centennial Panda Express is the best by far! Every time we put in the order, they remember our sauces they remember our napkins and our silverware they are the most friendliest Customer Service ever! We have gone to the one off of Academy and had it delivered from there because that is where we live and even picked our food up from there from the app and every single time they forget our silverware they never give us the teriyaki sauce and never put anything in the bag other than the food it makes life very frustrating. thank you centennial you’re awesome and getting it right every time.

UI may need improvement

The overall user interface is great. Nice and straightforward. Exactly what I want when I order. That being said, I like to make adjustments to some of my orders, and I would like to see the option to change how much of something is in an item I order (ie how much rice is in a bowl with rice and shrimp). If possible, I would also like to be able to include commas and periods in the notes that you leave in checkout, because I don’t want to come off as mean.
Love the app, super easy to use, wish most other restaurants apps were like this one!

prevents delivery for my entire area

I would be happy to use the app and rewards program that goes with it, but because the delivery feature outright prevents me from choosing the location which does the delivering, the app defaults to the closest Panda location- a store located on a nearby college campus which is only open three and a half hours per day, only on weekdays, around lunchtime. When the store is closed- which is almost every hour of every day- the app attempts to force me to arrange a delivery on some future day, instead of allowing me to get a delivery from one of the other locations in our area, one of which is not even a full mile further away. The previous Panda Express app never did this to me, but I don’t know if that’s because the app was just better designed or because the location had not opened yet.
The entire issue could be resolved if they had the app to check if another location within delivery radius was open when the closest is closed, but as it stands the app has essentially forced me to either use third party or shop elsewhere if I want delivery.

Awful Mobile Order System!!!

Panda Express’s mobile ordering system is terrible. It’s great as long as they have everything you ordered available, but if they are out of an item there is no way for them to contact you and let you know that they can not fufill your order; which is crazy because the app makes you enter your phone number every time you place an order. But according to the employees your phone number is not passed on to the local store when they receive the order. Then the ordering system charges your credit card anyway and the local store has no way to refund your money. You have to contact Panda’s corporate office and explain the issue and then wait for them to review and approve your refund.

Horrible app. Changes your address

Ordered last pm. Somehow, our address was changed after hitting order from xxx ct to xxx dr which doesn’t exist. If you google xxx dr it shows our home.
Less than one min after ordering, we noticed the error and contacted the supposed driver by phone # provided by you. It did not belong to anyone affiliated with doordash or Panda Express. We then called the restaurant. They said they would let the driver know. I then called doordash, your picked delivery method. They said they tried calling the driver and no answer.
Obviously, they do have someway to contact her as they supposedly got the order to her. They said they’d take care of it. The driver was at the store for over 45 minutes according to the tracking app and I still was unable to contact her. Once she started moving, I could she when she arrived in my neighborhood. She drove to the entrance then left. I was standing outside the entire time. It took over an hour and 1/2 for her to key in delivered which it never was. Our neighborhood is only 82 homes, very small and only 4 streets. This person obviously had no intention of delivering. She never tried calling us.
This was the first time my daughter was going to try Chinese food. She was extremely upset. this mad it very difficult also considering it was now almost 2 hours later.

Poor customer service last visit.

On March 15th 2023 at around 4pm, the manager and a handful of other employees were busy just talking with doing nothing with no line while I had to wait for at least one of them to help me. My order was still not ready with absolutely no customers present and delayed my food over 25 minutes from its original time on the app. She was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, inconsiderate and extremely unhelpful.
Never in my 15 years eating at this restaurant have I had an issue such as this. Please correct this issue with your team. Thank you.

Forced me to leave a review, so here are my thoughts

Not that I think your organization has any ability to effectively communicate to its employees or workers or management from corporate, but the location on los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo is disgustingly under employed. And therefore, poorly run. There’s a clear disconnect between management and the workers, when I went there was a line out of the door and only 4 total people working, including the ones in the kitchen. I ordered online and waited an hour for my food because they were so swamped they couldn’t look up to see that an online order came through, and I watched this poor teenage girl get yelled at by angry hungry customers for things that clearly weren’t her fault. Also like, app interface is terrible, why aren’t there points or like any kind of rewards incentivizing people to use the app? Get with it and stop asking me to pay you back for donating to the kid’s foundation. You already paid, stop lying to people and telling them they are donations are going to the kids when really they’re going into your pockets.

Aggravating

One of the people who work there wouldn’t give me sweet & sour sauce. I got an order of 6 egg rolls, and asked for the sauce. She hands me 4 packets. I tell I’ve got 6 egg rolls. So, she gives me 4 more. Then I’m like listen, it takes 2 packets at least, for each egg roll. Then she tells me “we got in trouble, for handling too many out”. I tell her I’m pretty sure, that if someone’s specifically telling you they need more it’s fine. Nope, she still refused! So, I ask to speak with a manager. She says the manager isn’t there, and asked if I’d like to speak with someone else. I say yes. She comes, and before I can say anything hands me some more sweet & sour sauce. How f’n aggravating. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back, to this Panda Express.

Terriblle

Panda Express uses DoorDash to deliver their orders. Several times I sat for over an hour waiting on my food to never have received the order. When I first started ordering outside of Uber Eats I was excited because the food came fast and to my door. That feeling was short lived because Dashers don’t check the address; they just care for a check. They don’t care if the customer gets their food which I’ve experienced twice. The Dasher delivered to the wrong address and said it was delivered. Then when customer service reached out to them to see if they’d correct their mistake, they said they were too far. I just ordered my food and and the Dasher delivered to the wrong address again! They put in an order for redelivery and they turned around and canceled that. Because my son is ill I I ordered again. I don’t want to take him outside. This is so disappointing and disgusting how paying customers are being treated. We order food and expect a decent delivery time to possibly not even get the food. I really wish Panda Express and DoorDash really cared about their customers.

An Oasis in the West Valley

I recently moved from the Bay Area to Modesto - and eventual bought a home in Newman. I love my new home and Newman - but by the 2nd week of living in Newman - I realized that there were NO restaurants here in the West Valley that serve any Asiatic Cuisine! I panicked and went through Sushi and Kimchee withdrawals for 6 weeks / until I stumbled upon this Asiatic Oasis in this Burger-centric Desert that I now call home. I historically order Pickup via the App - and in each and every ordering episode - they get it RIGHT - they have READY ON-TIME - and the quality is ALWAYS consistent - and best of all you get your monies worth!!! So thank you again Panda Express Patterson - your effort’s in delivering healthy and delicious food - that is both pleasing to the eyes and the palette.

I was hoping things changed

When we moved here 7 years ago, this was the best Panda I had ever eaten at. Consistent excellent food, great customer service, clean restaurant. 2020 Covid hit & they changed managers. It became the very worst Panda ever,17 wrong orders in a row, horrible attitudes. A few weeks ago I gave it the first chance in over a year. New management, food was great, order was correct-I had really high hopes. Last order, 3rd entree was forgotten entirely. The young woman I spoke with said “yeah, it happens-bring the receipt & we will replace the 3rd entree on your next meal”. On my way to try once more, really hoping upper management was listening about the previous management because their loss of income had to have been drastic & last time was just a one-off. When done right their food is good, their location convenient & the young man I spoke with the visit before last exemplified a great manager with excellent people skills.

Amazing Service

This app is amazing. I'm able to get delivery or takeout with only a few buttons. And it lists all the locations so I can order from any nearby Panda Express. Truly love this app especially as a person who occasionally works from home and doesn't always have time to prepare a meal. Being able to order Panda and have it delivered to my door at the onset of my lunch break is perfect.
What can improve: if there was a feature allowing you to select a bunch of entrees snd sides and then organize them into 2 separate areas, that would be really useful for big orders because then people could select a bunch of entrees and put 1 card on box 1 and 1 card on box 2. This would appeal to larger orders and drive up revenue on the app. Just my thoughts.

Freezes every time

Now that I have your attention, the app “works” but paying via Apple Pay causes the app to freeze literally every time. iOS up to date, app up to date. The way to get around is put the app in the background, then go back to it, and now Apple Pay will pop up.
But this is EVERY TIME, no exceptions. Other than this, app works. I also don’t really care for the UX of how to order sides. Should be a section at the top of the app that shows your sides and each tap puts a new side up there, vs a giant list of everything with a 1/2/3 next to it. Cuz if you tap it once, you have to know you can dilute it from 3 to 2 or 1 or half. That’s dumb… heck even put a plate and as you tap, it fills the plate just like at the restaurant.

It’s great but it has room for improvements

Things that would make it the best fast food app out there:
1. Gift card purchase support in-app rather then a link to the mobile site.
I would love to be able to send a gift card from the app to another user who has the app (either via registered email or telephone number). Right now the functionality sort of works, I can send my friend a emailed gift card and she can add it to her account on the app, but eliminating one step is more customer centric.
2. Why is SOY SAUCE not an option to add to the order? The other sauces are all there.
3. The ability to specify the number of packets of sauce on the side would be great. I always get ONE packet of teriyaki when I select that option, and depending on my meal I would like 2 or 3.
All that being said, I LOVE the functionality of the app for mobile orders, I appreciate the customization options. The fact that the developers included an option to request silverware is a plus, not a lot of mobile apps think of that.
I am super appreciative of how the app works, because it lets me order from the parking lot at work and have the food be sitting there when I get there, bypassing any line or meal rush.

Please do cash !!!!

I am a person with cash only who is trying to order food. I don’t have a card or Apple Pay because my I don’t work and my parents doesn’t let me have an account. A lot of apps don’t do cash which is wierd because people like me then can’t order food and I can’t go and pick it up cause I’m 15. If someone was home I’d ask them to order food for me. But since it’s just me and my sis, who is the same age as me, and both of us doesn’t have an account or Apple Pay, we can’t have any food. Now we are gonna have to make some, which is fine, but I came home at 5 pm from school, almost 10 hours. I’m not complaining, but I’m really tired and wasted literally an hour trying to find apps that let me pay with cash and found nothing.
Please consider letting costumers pay with cash as an option.

Worst experience all the way around

So I ordered a delivery order in the app and was told it would be delivered at 12:09. I got a text from DoorDash, that my delivery was confirmed. In the Panda Express app there was no mention of a 3rd party delivery service. I waited until 12:10, looked at tracking and they updated the delivery time to 12:33. I was a bit annoyed, but okay, those things happen. At 12:30 I got a text that the order had been delivered and it certainly wasn’t. I looked at all my neighbors front doors just to make sure that the order wasn’t mistakenly delivered to the wrong address. Then I called the store and was told that they had no responsibility for this since it’s a 3rd party delivery company. I was shocked. So I said it is your app, I didn’t order through a different app, and they told me too bad. Since I had already paid for it I begged for them to make it again and my husband would pick it up. They agreed, but reluctantly. So frustrating and sad that this company works this way.

I won’t use it again.

It’s a great concept. He walk in and pick up your food you can leave. I stood there for five minutes after I said it was supposed to be done. No one asked my name.
I continue to watch and saw that what appeared to be my food was sitting there at the end of the line, not under any heat lamps or anything. And after seven minutes someone finally checked to see what the name of it was and it was mine. I said do you mean to tell me that my food has been sitting there for more than seven minutes. I didn’t think I was being evil when I strongly suggested that they can give me fresh food. The food had been sitting there prior to my coming in.
The time I spent going into the store I could’ve easily gone through drive-through. I won’t be using it again and I will be deleting the app.

DO NOT USE THE APP, ORDER WITHOUT IT!

Wow. To start off, my order was messed up by the store so I had to call and they gave me store credit. They would’t cover my delivery fee which was absurd, I paid to have it delivered. ANYWAYS, I try to reorder on the app and it says the order couldn’t be placed because now it would be ready at a later time which was fine but it still wouldn’t go through. If you read other reviews, others have the same experience. I kept having that issue no matter what I tried on the app, so I finally went on my laptop and just ordered from their website. That’s how I ordered the first time. Tell me why, 4 ORDERS WERE MADE. 3 were from the unsuccessful attempts on the app, and 1 successful try from the website. I got three orders and then ANOTHER ONE WAS ON THE WAY. Thankfully that one was cancelled, someone must’ve figured out what happened. I didn’t call the store, pretty sure it wasn’t their fault. And during these uncertain times, I am sure there is no one to call. But yea spending so much money on Panda was not in my plans today. So if you don’t want this to be your experience, refrain from the app. Just use the website. It’ll literally save you money. And FIX THIS APP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Approximately pick up times

Approximately pick up times are horrible if you are setting up a pick up time it’s for a specific reason. I had placed an order and I had arrived to the restaurant way before my pick up time however I had seen a bad just sitting there for the whole time that I was sitting there waiting. When a minute before the pick up time comes around I go up to the door and wait and I told them my name and they gave me the bag that was sitting there for at least 15min I let it slide next time around same thing happens not to mention that it’s sitting there and food gets cold so then I ordered and got there 7 min after I placed the ordered and then they are telling me that the order won’t be ready until that certain time well then I told them to please let me know because I don’t want cold food... mind you that it’s the same store they need to be more consistent

Lack of caring

Let me start off by saying how much I do appreciate panda express being open during these uncertain times, with that being said I’ve got to say that for the prices they charge they certainly try to short you as much as possible. I have gotten the same thing every time ever since panda express opened in Michigan city and I’ve never had an issue until they have done the carry out orders only. I order a large orange chicken only and when I brought it to the point of them not filling it up the whole way I always get an excuse or they try to explain to me they only fill it up to the line which is OK if that’s what was happening but that’s not what was happening and I’ve pointed out multiple times and yet I still get treated like I don’t know what I’m talking about or that I am wrong. I’m not very appreciative of the disrespect or lack of caring about making sure that the container is simply filled to where they say it should be to begin with. For the pricing that panda express charges I can certainly receive better quality and quantity both from the food and the customer appreciation elsewhere. Very disappointed to say the least. I’d like to say that it would matter that I made this post but I am almost certain it will not make any difference sincerely a very disappointed combat Army veteran.

Dissatisfied Customer

Went to order the family meal to go online and went to pick up at 54 and Little where they have two separate lines one for order pick up and one for immediate orders. The pick up line had 10 people and not moving for an hour. I wAited that long because I was early and thinking I’d get my food. I didn’t wait anymore to get it. No one was moving. They were making orders for people that weren’t waiting in line. The two people ahead of me were waiting over an hour. They were busy inside but not handing out the food to the people that were there. I did not pick up my food. I couldn’t get someone to come over to the immediate order side to cancel my order. So I left. I’ve called 4x to cancel. No answer. A manager should have come out and said what was going on. Either they had a huge order to fulfill and they were backed up and someone should have come outside to say something. No communication at all. I understand things are different in the world now but customer service should not have changed.

Family Deal Not Available

I drove to the restaurant, but there was a sign that they were no longer offering the family deal for $20 at the restaurant. Manager made me drive around and order from the app or online while in the parking lot. Then I advised to workers that were taking out the track that neither the app or online were offering the family deal. She recommend I try to call their corporate office. EXCUSE ME!!! That’s not my problem, that’s a Panda problem. So I drove back through the drive thru and asked to speak to the manager. They had me wait at the window while she was on the phone and then when she came to the window she said they had to reset the app and the options online. I closed the app on my phone, reopened it and voila, guess what the option was added. Unfortunately, instead of the manager taking my order at that time as a courtesy for the inconvenience, she told to go back around to the parking lot, place my order on the app and wait for the time given for it to be ready. 30 minute wait. In the meantime, I watched a countless number of cars drive in and out of the panda drive thru. This experience sucked!!!

Incredibly frustrating

The app visually looks good and well put together. That’s it’s only plus. It’s hard to add a payment method, it insisted the card number for most of my cards is not right despite my own triple checking. I found a single card that works and proceeded to order. Only six entree options were listed, if the rest were there they were not easy to find- I searched for a while. If they were the only ones listed because they were out of the others I’m annoyed because I would’ve chosen to wait and order something else when it was ready. After ordering we had to wait fifteen minutes for the order to even be processed BEFORE they’d make it for us. Panda Express is one of my favorite resteraunts but this app is definitely deterring me from coming back.

They need at least 30 minutes but don’t get the order until the last 10 minutes

Ordered in the app and they won’t let me pick a time less than 30 minutes away. Get there and they don’t have our order. Then they tell us they don’t get it till 10 minutes before pick up. I ask if I can cancel and she tells me know and because I am on a different time zone it will be an hour longer. She acted like the app was the worst way to order but we were on the go and didn’t know how busy they were...they were dead so not sure why they couldn’t fill the order in a timely manner. And yes, you can cancel if they haven’t accepted or processed. App also can’t handle time zones at all. This isn’t the first time this has happened just the most fustrating since we live on the time zone line and they can’t process an order at all. App would be wonderful if the employees actually understood it.

Useless!

What a useless app! You would think the point of making a mobile order is to avoid lines and not waiting for your food but not with this app!
I always pick up my food 5 minutes after the time the app tells me my order will be ready to give them time but that’s not enough! Most days I wait 20-45 mins. I see the line they have and is gone. Another one forms and is gone, everybody gets helped before the mobile orders!
Why have mobile orders if the people who get in line get their food faster?? Completely useless! My honest advice, avoid this app or get in line. It’s a lot faster!!

Skip this app/ just wait in line

I mean overall it’s a okay app right but you place your order and it takes forever for it to arrive. I went into the restaurant just 10 mins before it was due and the restaurant staff didn’t care if I showed mobile receipt or order number “as long as it hasn’t appeared on my end I can’t do anything about it “ and i had to wait for my order to appear on their screen . While the staff was really frustrated that I couldn’t just wait 15 mins when I simply just wanted my food . I didn’t argue back . I waited and the order came in and they’re like NOW it’s your turn . At the Lima rd restaurant in Fort Wayne Indiana as I write this review. My confirmed order was supposed to be ready for a 6:10 pm pickup. I arrived at 6:11. Took 6 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me even though I was the only one in the Online Ordering pickup line. When I finally got waited on, my online order wasn’t found. I was told it wasn’t their fault and I needed to produce a receipt. After retrieving my phone from my car, I returned to the Online Ordering line. Again, waited over five minutes without any staff (including the cashier) acknowledging my presence. I finally asked the cashier if she could check on my order. She fetched another employee. I showed him my phone order and he did fill the order. Ended up waiting a total of 25 minutes after my scheduled pick up time for my order to be ready. No apologies.

Poorly designed and nonfunctional

This app has way more stars than it deserves. I don’t know how so many people are satisfied with this completely unusable app. I cannot order anything because every time I initiate an order by setting the pickup time and place, it just loads for a long time before telling me the order could not be placed. The loading times for anything in this app are nonsensical and absurd. I have to force quit the app then open it again to start over and hopefully it doesn’t get stuck on a loading screen again. Why the hell does it take so long to continue as guest? Like wth is it processing for so long to get past the initial screen? I can’t fast log in because autofilling the email always enters my password (which is fully visible i.e. security issue) instead of my email. Even when I have the cursor on the password field, autofilling it will replace my manually entered email with my password (again, it is visible) and still leave the password field blank. Also the map to find your location almost never works and also takes forever to load. This app has all the same terrible problems as their website too. Unbelievable that they screwed up such an important part of what could have been an excellent addition to their business model both on desktop and mobile.

I was buying food for my office team, but when I realized it would take an hour to get ready I decided not to order and cancel. I never hit confirm. A few hours later I get notified I have a pending charge on my card of $170 (what I was buying was less then 50). I called the local restaurant that I ordered the food from and the manager couldn’t find a transaction or where this was coming from. I then called corporate where they could not explain to me where or why I got this charge. He almost acted like it was very normal. Even after I confirmed and double check to make sure I’d never actually finalized the order. Needles to say I am astonished that such a well known large establishment could 1.) “accidentally” take this much money from my account without me ever actually placing the order 2.) acting like it wasn’t a big deal.

Bad app

I’ve tried on several occasions to order using the app and it’s always a mess. I only order the Family Pack and a few sides. But when I select “Place Order” it bounces and never completes the order. I think it’s because the Family Pack can’t be completed in the pick-up time allowed. No one at the store has an answer. And when I called to see if the order had gone through the lady said it usually takes 10-15 minutes for online orders to post on the store’s system “so call back in 10-15 minutes”. We love Panda. Please fix you app, your communication system, or your process.
