Really helped out
My truck has some crazy electrical issues, down loaded your app. And instantly paid off. Needed to go thru section of a town known for police presence to monitor sped traps, one pulled behind me but I was able to maintain consistent speed thanks to this app. The cop followed for two blocks before turning around. This app is the best.. I have been using this GPS speedometer app for years.. I was in a accident on my Harley in 2024, spent 8 months in ICU.. I nyst got my new Harley and have the app installed and love this app.

So I got bigger tires on my truck and they make my truck go five over the speed limit the speedometer app works very well to help me not speed 😅… my only complaint (it’s very small)
I wish some of the extras you wouldn’t have to pay like the speed limits I was a little bummed out by that I was looking forward to that…but overall love this app!!👍🏼👍🏼

Speed limit issues
The whole reason I got this app was to show the speed limit of the area I was on and alert me if I go over. It’s never accurate. I drive for 25 minutes in a 70mph stretch of highway and it read 60mph the entire time.

Love it but..
I absolutely love it, I was gonna keep the free version but I decided to do the free trial so I can control my music just to find out that it doesn’t show anything when I play music from YouTube music. I use YouTube music, I would LOVE if you could add the ability to control your music when YouTube music is playing music. Besides that, awesome app!

It’s a good app I just don’t like that when you switch off the app and then back on it, it takes you to a different page that you’ve got to clear off of. And the automatic pause and unpause doesn’t work that great but everything else works as it should.

The amount of ads I get per ride is absolutely insane bro I’m trying to ride and boom in the middle of my top speed run it will say U WaNT ThE PreMiUm PaCkAgE FoR wAy tO MuCh MonEY like bro you serious like shut up! And I really wish once I turned of my phone it wouldn’t absolutely deflate my battery life but other than that yeah the app I super good and really accurate but I would really appreciate if the popup was only at the opening of the app and not in the middle of my ride.

Just what I need for Lyft!
This is indispensable because unlike Uber, Lyft does not show speed data, including your current speed, or the posted speed limit, in my area and sometimes I’m in an unfamiliar area without that data so this is really helpful. Thank you so much!

Perpetually crashes every 10 minutes
The app has many good features, but has begun crashing every 10 minutes and closing the app. It is not safe to restart the app on my phone while I am operating the car. I have tried updating the software to no effect.

Use it daily
My speedometer in my car is broken so I need this as my speedometer. Sometimes it gets laggy with the speed but it does a good job. My issue is the subscription pulls up every single time I open the app and I don’t want to pay to use a speedometer.

Loads to slowly
This stupid app loads soooo slowly. When I open it, it takes like 10 seconds to show me the speedometer. Must fix this or I will delete this app. Also, it is inaccurate. It said I was driving 2 mph when I was stopped.

Excellent Speedometer App
This app is clean and accurate. I have custom sized wheels on my car and I use this app to get a correct MPH. I also used the app when riding a train from Florida to Niagara Falls, I enjoyed seeing the speed the train was running.

I am broke and yet it still made an advertisement pop up every time the app was opened and every second it was used I am not buying premium and I can only save one trip at a time unless I buy premium. If you do plan on using this app buy premium I won’t but it saves you a lot of troubles

Best GPS app
Bring back the old interface!
I love the interface. My dash lights on my 2001 truck don’t work so I can’t see my speed at night. This app works perfectly for that. The speed is easy to read. Only thing missing is location based temperature. I drive a lot in the winter in Michigan and I’d love to see what the temperature is doing as I’m driving.

My Speedometer More Often Than Not
I have a 2005 Prius, which I love, and the dash goes black quite often. I have been using this app for a few years, it works great, is very accurate, I know I’ve tested it. It’s like my speed safety net.

This app used to have a beautiful display. Unfortunately my phone updated the app automatically and I hate the new display. It almost looks cartoonish now.

I used this as a bike speedometer for a while and liked it. Now it has become annoying with the constant prompts to buy a premium version. I was ok with an ad start-up. I downloaded one of the dozens of other free apps.

If anyone saw my previous review, the issue was resolved, and my rating and review have been updated.
i’ve been using this app since 2015 and must say it does its job very well. I’ve even found a few uses for the app that I’m sure we’re not intended when it was developed such as getting the speed and altitude when I am on a flight. if the plane I’m on is flying at 600 mph this app will show the full speed instead of stopping at 99 which is what some other apps I tried did. Earlier this week, version 5.0 was released, and I must say that I like the look of the app. There was originally an issue where for those who paid to remove ads they were not going away, but the developer has since fixed this. There are some nice looking features that have been added as a subscription. I personally don’t believe I will need those for how I use the app but I could see others benefiting from them and I’m glad to see the developer is still thinking of ways to make the app even better.

It’s perfect for me.
As the speedometer is inop in my old Toyota PU, this has been a great tool. I only wish there were a option for accumulated mileage in addition to trip only mileage. I’d like to calculate my fuel mileage but can’t the way it is. Anyway, great app. Thank you. Mike

Excellent App
I use this app in my old cars, to verify the accuracy of the speedometer, or for those that have Km/H speedos, for when I don’t want to do the conversion in my head.
One added feature that would be nice is CarPlay compatibility, so I could display the speedometer on the radio face. I don’t know if that’s possible, but it would be really nice!

I have a vintage car with a newer engine and transmission. The speedometer cable won't fit on the new transmission so this app tells me my speed. I love it!!!

Good, but needs a clock
I love this app and use it often, but like 99% of the GPS apps it’s missing a clock to view the current time of day. I’ve only found one app so far that has it, but the interface is ugly. Please add it to this app.

This App is dangerous
I couldn’t keep the app going long enough to evaluate it without it trying to sell me a game or some other app. I made one modification, KPH to MPH, and it went straight to add with only one option - Buy. The only way to turn off add was to delete the app and download it again. Don’t use this app if you are driving.

Intrusive advertising
Horrible. Downloaded this app to have something to rely on when in case my speedometer in my old car crapped out, customized tje settings once and the ads would not stop with no way to close them even after exiting they would just pop right back up again.

When I first got a car it had a broken speedometer and I could not see how fast I was going when I hit pedestrians. But now that changed! When I got this awesome app I can track down my speed when I hit pedestrians, I can even change the colors of the speedometer so get this app, it’s great!

Absolutely Accurate
I had to buy a used 2008 Ford Taurus, as I needed a car for the amount of driving needed for my job as a Caregiver. Since the car gets better gas mileage than my truck, it was the right decision to get the car. The car is perfect inside and out for being 12 yrs old. After 2 months of driving the car the speedometer quit working completely, leaving only the Tach as a method of determining my speed while driving and since I didn't want to rely solely on that for maintaining proper speed on the freeway and city streets, I had the need for this speedometer app.
It's simple to use, and is quite pleasing and easy to read without a bunch of unnecessary stuff to clutter the screen not to mention the great colors to choose from to personalize it just enough!
I may never get my speedometer repaired due the insane cost to do so, but hey no worries there because I'll use your app until the end of tim, the end of this car, or I actually win the lottery in which case I'll still keep using this app!!

Works great, but...
The app has a problem with the rotation. When you rotate to landscape, the direction is 90 degrees off. The speedometer is between 1 and 5 mph off, but that’s expected because it is GPS. All in all, great app

Perfect
Unlike most apps this one is easy to read! I like how this app makes it simple and not cluttered. Also the no ads is a big plus! Many other apps use ads and it just gets in the way all the time. This is the best speedometer app.

Review
I have been using GPS SPEED for a couple of weeks. I have compared it to other gps aps offered thru the ap store. I have found this one the most intuitive to use. It seems to be extremely accurate, giving me the same readings for the routes I have previously done
Perhaps it’s in the upgrade, but there is no description of what’s provided, I would like to have the miles traveled not reset when you exit the program. Provide a manual reset when re entering the ap. Also, the direction of travel always remains at 0. It would be helpful if it worked. Perhaps this is part of the upgrade.
This being said, I highly recommend this app

Good & Poor
That app itself is really quite good with the extras like car/bike and direction but really really lacks in other areas.
1. Once you invoke the app a timer starts. This timer runs continuously until it is turned off. I am more interested in knowing my driving time than I am knowing how much time I spent in the store in addition to drive time. They need a “Zero out” button.
2. Its to easy to go into setup up mode and difficult to get out of especially when driving.
3. This is the biggie. The redundancy time is horrible. You never really know your speed unless you going straight without touching the gas. It’s like there is a 5 second delay in updating your speed.
Normal driving off a freeway the the MPH is all over the place. It will read 55 the go up to 58 down to 53 back up to 57 etc. all without touching the pedal.
4. The speed warning is a joke. You can only set a speed at which you want to be notified. That doesn’t do much good if you have to reset the app for excessive speeds
I want to know what the speed limit is all the time not just one speed until you stop and change it.

I’ve used A couple of other GPS speedometers , and this one so far is the most accurate, even more accurate than the Google GPS map that comes with the phone , and you get a variety of different colors to choose from and you can use it vertically or horizontally , The format is easy to understand and the settings are easy to use , and believe me whether you ride regular Bicycle or an E bike , it’s a good addition it makes your bike look cool , people who saw it didn’t even know it was my phone they thought it was the actual speedometer that comes with the bike , Believe me this will save you money if you go Buy a speedmeter , like this out there they’re overpriced too complicated to use and most of them don’t even work on 20 inch fat tire bikes , this is perfect 😊

Works like a charm.
Easy to use and very practical. And with an added unexpected bonus: It allows me to see my distance and speed in Km and km/hr respectively, which is convenient since my car speedometer uses mph, so I have a simultaneous readout in both metric and conventional units (I normally “think” in metric terms.

Best App overall for “Simplest Speedometer”
Great for the basics. Great choice of colors if you pay the $1.99 to upgrade. Also, the free version is literally the PNLT free version of any speedometer app that doesn’t completely obstruct your dash with constant ads. 👍 thanks!

Good but needs improvement
The speedometer works very well. Time and distance is definitely a plus. Speed warning is also a big plus. What I would like though is if there is some way to work on the accuracy of the direction. I know it says that the direction varies based on conditions in the description, but for some people, such as myself, I think this is a very important feature that should be accurate or at least as close to accurate when traveling. Also, on my iPhone, if I go out of the app when I am not using it and try to open it again, it literally freezes and will not open the app. I have to restart my phone for it to open. I am hoping something can be done to resolve these issues within.

Almost perfect.
The speedo is accurate and the display is one of the prettiest I have seen since YoriMoto. The reason I say it’s almost perfect, is that you get ads on startup. I’d like to say it’s not bothersome, but it adds those extra few seconds to your startup time to go ride. A minor complaint, but enough to deduct a star.
