Love the game. There are four modes of play, so you can choose your own level of pressure. Timed, not timed, it's your choice. You can choose to challenge yourself, or just relax. Just what I was looking for.
For those complaining about the price, that's just silly. You can play for hours and hours for free if you want. Developers deserve to get paid.

Great Game
I love this game and it is very addictive. The free version can keep you playing for a long time, but the paid version gives you access to different ways to play, such as untimed, score based on word length instead of timed and others. I like when time wasters at least make you use your brain.

Needs to define "Best Word". Is that the longest word? Apparently not, as words created that were longer than my "Best Word" didn't take its place in stats. Bug or lack of definition?

If you love word games. . .
I had an issue (my own stupidity) with new iPad and restoring previous purchase. I'm so pleased with the prompt response which fixed everything. I love the sound effects when the tiles break, love how you can use 3 letter words if you need to, love the different options for playing, love/hate that my increasing skill results in less time to clear the tiles.
You won't be disappointed if you love word games!

Okay so I'm a huge fan of any brain game! This game has lots of ways you can play it but I think they should charge you for the additional ways to play instead of charging you to level up after so many games. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars instead of 4. I mean the competition is rough out there. People want to see how far they can go before they start challenging themselves in the same game but with a different way to play! At least that's how I am. That's how you hook me in. Otherwise I get bored.

Not Your Average Word Game
This game is so much fun and it's different from most of the other word games out there. It's challenging but not impossible and it offers different modes. If you are a lover of words and have a rich vocabulary this game is for you. Also, the music for this game is eerily and beautifully haunting which is a nice touch.

Fun and Challenging
Fun word game. Basically, you need to make words of three letters or more out of apparently random letters. Obviously, longer words are preferred. Some letters require that they be used in words of a minimum length. I like that it becomes more challenging based on your primo times.

MORE GAMEBOARDS please
Very enjoyable game--expansive boards for really working out the possibilities & utilizing strategy in the 'puzzle'. But the problem is that if you are a word game addict like me, you want to have different boards each time--not the same few cycled through & repeated. More variations in the puzzle would be good, ESPECIALLY the placement of the letters. Please mix it up & I'll gladly give 5 stars!

Mellow, fast pace, fun
I am not a big game player. I have Scrabble. I like to have a few for mental down time. Hard to find. I like backgammon, but it's sometimes too brainless. This game is what I wanted. Not spastic, hard core timed, low noise, no kiddie colors/thingies that spin, sparkle etc. The variations of the game play are all fun. Different modes for different moods. Challenging enough to keep you engaged. Not too much to be frustrating.

I got this app a couple days ago and I am very happy with it. I usually don't have any games on my phone, but this game is mind stimulating and provoking to pass the time. I'd much rather play this game then scroll through any social media apps. I highly recommend this game!

Fun, but massive battery drain
This game is highly addictive, and a lot of fun to play. But the amount of battery power it uses is disgraceful. I'm on a 6 Plus, usually get three days on a single charge. This app drains about 1% charge about every minute and a half or so. Crazy battery usage for a word game. Three stars until they lower the power drain.

Excellent and fun
One of the few games I've decided to buy after playing the free version. Provides a nice challenge, since a few of the modes get harder as you get better, but also has a freeform mode available (either after you buy or after you play 100 games). An addicting game, very fun, that stretches your vocabulary. I really like that it lists your stats after the game, and provides definitions for the words you used.

Absolutely excellent
I don't normally write reviews for apps or games, even though I download them all the time. This is an amazing game, I haven't been able to put it down. The atmosphere is 10/10, the sounds and music make for a very relaxing experience. Would recommend to anyone.

A rush
I have played this game for months now and still love it. I got my wife addicted as well and we try to outdo each other with the fastest time. I was the champ until my son destroyed my fastest time on his first attempt.
The game is simple enough. You have random letters on tiles that touch each other. You swipe your finger over the tiles to form words. Each word causes the tiles to disappear. The goal is to start in the middle of a group of tiles and create enough words, usually 10-15 words, to reach the edge of the group.
The rush comes from the timer! The more you play and the faster you get, the less time you have to reach the edge.

Unfathomably Addictive
This isn't one of your average games that you come across when looking for something new to play. No this isn't that at all. This is a game that tests your brain in possibly the most entertaining ways. I hope that the developers of this game make another game. For I know I would fall in love with that one as well. Good job and keep it up.

Simple to learn...hard to master
GREAT game. Rules are simple and it tells you what you do wrong when you break them, but most importantly...as you get better, the game gets harder so it's ALWAYS a challenge. And if you're off your game on a particular day...it will adjust the difficulty down to match as well.
The gameplay is a nice mix of speed and strategy...it's pretty easy to paint yourself into a corner, so to speak, but not so difficult to be overly frustrating.
Like I said...GREAT game.

Game has three parts; the first choice, escape, is a fun race against the clock. The scoring is strange: at the upper levels, I was penalized for succeeding time after time. Good thing to fix.
The other two versions (locked at the start, then open as you play) were not as fun. I didn't play more than a couple times.

Love the game, but the layout glitch in new update?
Love this game. Just updated to iOS 8.0.2 and did the game update, but now the view is more narrow and longer than my iPad screen. Is this an issue for others? Something that can be fixed?

Fantastic Word Game, Beautiful Design
Love the game. Love all word games but this is my new and probably will be a long time favorite. It is actually challenging, and fun and always fun. Plus the stats and records ROCK. Love to know my game stats, love to know what my words were and the definitions! So much awesomeness. Definitely recommend to everyone.

Such an awesome, challenging yet very relaxing game
Soundtrack is awesome and fits the mood of the game perfectly. All the different modes of play are incredibly fun. I am pretty big on word games and this is pretty much my favorite one. Also, I was having an issue where the game was crashing. I reported it to them and they responded very quickly and by the next day had patched the game and there were no more problems! What a Challenging Fun Game !!!!
My first impression of this game is that you need to be smart and fast to reach the edge of the hexagram before the 10 min timer runs out! I've only played two games and haven't been able to reach the edge yet but I'm having fun trying!!!! I think it's a great concept for a game and definitely a challenge for the word game lovers!

Honestly, I feel like it is a requirement to beat my high scores! This is a great game for anyone to play! I've loved it since the start and since the new update it's even better. The music is soothing and the interface is easy to use and adjust to. Great game! I recommend it to anyone.

Simple but well done
Find words by touching connecting letters, no different from a million other games in basic concept. This one, though, gets harder or easier with the individual player's skill. Easy enough to enjoy, hard enough to keep you playing.
The ads are even tolerable and non intrusive, a quick pop up after each game, no waiting for a certain time for videos to play or for the close ad button to appear, right back to the fun as quick as can be.
The one thing I think might make it better would be the ability to play heads up against fellow word nerds.

Nice game
I have enjoyed this game thus far. I like the explore version for when I want to relax and let my mind wander. The escape version is fun and high intensity that is a good challenge for when your feeling competitive. I didn't like that I needed to buy the extended version so I could have more choices but I like it.

I like it
It's a pretty awesome game, it forces you to think on feet, and you know that the better you get the faster you'll have to be. Decisions matter, this isn't a game for the insecure.
The only thing I suggest is adding more words, like another review said, there's some common words (or words that I know for a fact exist) that aren't recognized, yet a word like "Tet" is recognized.
4/5, I like how you portrayed the concept and how you let the users play it.

Good concept, too many issues
The dictionary needs to be updated. Many common words are not recognized and many words that I'm fairly certain do not exist work.
Freezes on the ads constantly. Very annoying. The only way to get around the hang ups is to kill the app and restart.
Random time gain and loss is not explained. If you escape sometimes you get time added, sometimes time is subtracted. There is no explanation for how this is calculated.
The game is fun and challenging, with the few fixes mentioned it would be worthy of five stars.

Suggestions
I enjoy the game. Nicely done. Consider my suggestions below.
1. Give a timed overall view of the map before game start. Maybe 3 seconds. Let's us plan a route.
2. The two finger scroll is glitchy. Doesn't always work.
3. Let us zoom out and play with a larger view of the map. Sometimes we can only see two letters at the edge when we need a 3 word minimum to clear the tiles. We have to scroll to the side to see more tiles but as I said scrolling is glitchy.

I find this game both challenging and informative. It gives you the freedom to make up words to get through letter obstacles, and then gives you the definition of those words when you complete the level. Very cool.

This could go up...
I was happy to read that your update would add themes to timed play. Then I open it, only to find that these themes aren't available UNLESS I "like" you on Facebook. So...I paid $ for the app, but unlike those who didn't buy it from you, I am not able to access the themes, because I don't have a FB account. Fix that, rating goes to 4. Add more options - ability to set different amounts of time, different shapes & sizes, other things to add variety - and you go to 5. Thanks-

My favorite brain teaser!
This is a really fun game that really keeps you on your toes and has helped improved my vocabulary! Tho there are some adjustments to me made like including correct definitions for all the words you made it's a very fun puzzle game that is a classical hit!

Challenging in a short time
Great fun to play when you have only a few minutes. You're playing against yourself, trying to beat your best score...but mostly just trying to find enough hidden words to beat the clock.

I really enjoy this game a lot, but please give us the option to cut off the annoying beep and pop up at the top of the screen when a word is not acceptable. I know the rules, the game does not have to keep reminding me every time I slip up.

Terrific Game for Word Lovers
I have really enjoyed this game - it’s very addictive for people like myself who love crosswords, Scrabble, Boggle, etc. The stats are fun to review (“best word,” records, time taken to “escape,” etc.), and I like the added feature of definitions after you have completed a round (even if some words are not defined). One issue I am a little concerned about, though, is that it froze up on me last night after the latest upgrade, and I ended up having to reinstall it today, which meant I lost all my stats. It’s not the end of the world, but I hope this is not a regular thing. Overall, though, it’s a terrific game!

Good
This game is pretty neat and good to blow some time. The escape mode is entertaining (have not unlocked the other two) and a nice challenge. The two tile features (bomb tiles and minimum letter count tiles) are both interesting and influence gameplay in nice ways.
The main issue I've experienced (and since discovered through a small amount of effort) is that proper nouns are not in the dictionary. THIS is not the issue. This is a very common trait of word building games. However, I found it confusing that it was not stated within the game (such as during the tutorial). I find that this clears up most issues for me when I try to spell words and have them be rejected.
I like this game and I plan to hold onto it for a long time.

Bad dictionary
I was hoping an update meant would address the deficient dictionary where so many words aren't recognized.
When reviewers complain about the dictionary it's not because they can't follow the simple rules of the game. Why isn't "eden" a valid word when its letters both abut an empty tile and abide by the number rule? Many more examples of this.

Overkill
I really like this game, but there has got to be an option to turn off the new alerts. I got it the first time that the tile needs four letters. I don't need the reminder every single time I miss-grab a letter. If you can't figure it the system after just a few tries, you probably shouldn't be playing.

Could be so much more.
This game could be so much more. As is you have alot of short words, some that don't make any sense. It's missing the vocabulary that a puzzle player looks for. When you do find a decent word, the game does'nt recognize it, leading to fustration.
I would grade this game for young elementry students who don't read so well.

Omg! These reviewers don't know the rules!
Ok. I've had enough of the ignorance in these reviews. There's absolutely no issue with the game vocabulary!! These reviewers just didn't take the 2 minutes to pay attention to the tutorial! This game is super easy to learn. So please disregard the negative reviews, which are based on the laziness and idiocy of those who don't have a clue how to play the game.
Of course "tea" is a word. But (rule 1) you have to make words with at least one letter adjoining the open space. That's the basic premise of the game!
Also, (rule 2) some letters have numbers on them. These numbers mean that to use the letter, the word must have at least that number of letters. It's not like the letter numbers in Scrabble.
Those are the only restrictive rules!
This game is truly excellent! It is so much more than I expected!
It's a game that thinkers will really enjoy.
Plus it's beautifully designed and polished to perfection.
I had to laugh at the negative reviews. I don't believe they understand the rules. I can't imagine anyone not loving this game. Please, if you like word games, ignore those reviews.
I definitely recommend buying the full game. It's 1.99 and worth every penny! The escape mode and explore mode are both really unique and engrossing.

New game mode idea :D
I love this game; its great. Like many other people, I'd like for the vocab to be updated, but it's awesome nonetheless.
I have an idea for a game mode, if its possible. I was thinking of the game mode [Endless], which is basically [Explore], but without borders. I'm not sure if its possible, but it could also be called [Training] mode, in the sense that it could be good training in learning which kinds of long words can be made in modes like [Explore] and [Survive], when you dont have much time to think.
I really hope that my idea is implemented in the next update, or in the near future. It'd be fun to see how far I can make words until the forced word length letters overwhelm me XD

Great game
This game is extremely fun, and I've played it for hours on end. I have two problems with it, though:
1. Some basic words aren't recognized. The dictionary needs to be updated.
2. Having to play 100, then 500 games to unlock different modes is excessive, and feels like you're forcing us to pay the $1.99 to unlock them.

Ignore bad reviews
This game is my new favorite. Unlike what people say, it does not have a poor vocab list. Certain tiles require longer word lengths in order to break, so while it recognizes the word, it may not accept it. This is why you need to use strategy over vocabulary. It's a GREAT game, no glitches, great achievements and challenges. Also updates each game you play to make it more of a challenge for you. Or if it is too hard, they make it easier. Can't go wrong!!!
