Big Time Coach Practice Planner is the first in a family of applications for Coaches built by Coaches to enhance every aspect of player development, team management and team communication! Improve the effectiveness and impact of each practice by enhanced planning and resources offered through this app.
In this app you will be able to manage multiple teams, rosters and staff. You will be able to provide on the fly communication with the entire team through the app via text or email options. As a coach you can track and manage player skill evaluations helping you focus your practice on the needs of your team and players.
With over 100 baseball drills you can create and customize impactful practices that will improve the development of your team! If you have your own drills, you can create them in the app and begin using them right away. The Practice Planner app is full of many more features that will help you deliver a great experience to every player on your team, helping you become a Big Time Coach!

• Integrated Spotlight Search -- Search for players and choose to quickly view their current assessment status as well as their practice attendance. Search for injury reports by injured persons name to receive a quick view of the report status.

What's New in Version 2.6.2
AirDrop Practices
We've been asked for an easy way to share practices especially with coaches, assistants, anyone else helping with a practice, or even a parent wanting more information. If the person you wish to share a practice with has an iPhone 5 or newer you just need to touch a couple of buttons to AirDrop the Practice to them!
How it works: in the practice summary view you touch the sharing button and choose either:
- AirDrop to Friend
- AirDrop to Team Member
If you choose AirDrop to Team Member, the person you share with will receive all of the Practice information you've setup including player assignments to drills, schedule dates, completion status, and block duration, Drills, etc.
In addition, the person you share will will also receive your full Team information including Team Staff, and any contacts you may have added.
If you choose AirDrop to Friend, the Practice will be shared without any of the Scheduling or Team information so that the person receiving the Practice may assign it to their team, and use it as they wish.
In testing we've found that AirDrop is a great way to share the practice with coaches so that everyone is on the same page when running stations. We hope you like this great new feature!
AirDrop Teams
Similar to practices, if wish to share a team you have setup a team in Practice Player simply choose the AirDrop option after you have touched the Export/Update button in your Team Detail View. The person you sharing the team with will receive the full set of team information including Staff, Roster, and any contacts you have added.
Air Drop Drills
Ever want to quickly share a drill with another Practice Planner user? Now it's a simply a matter of touching the share button in the Drill Detail View. You'll share your drill within seconds!
SportsEngine® Updates
- We found that in some cases teams to select rosters from were not being filtered based on the most current season. This has been addressed to ensure you only see the current teams (active season and sub-season) from your SportsEngine® site.
DropBox Update
- Converted DropBox integration to API v2: This is a small impact, but all Big Time Coach folders will be moved to a common 'App' area in DropBox. This allows you to find and manage the import files in a more straightforward manner.
New Team Deletion and Practice Assignment Function
Many of our coaches re-use practices season over season. The challenge is we don't want to copy all of them over when we change teams. To the rescue comes the new team deletion and practice assignment function!
Now when you have a new team, you can choose to delete the old team and assign all of the practices from old team to new. This creates the baseline practice script that you may use as the baseline for the new team. All of the player records are cleared so the practice set is a blank canvas ready to adjust and re-use!
We also understand that creating practices is hard work so you'll also be able to save practices to a new team on-they-fly. Simple choose the assignment option when you delete at team, and then create the new team in the assignment view. The practices will be re-assigned and saved for later use.
Typically our coaches create a unique team to save practices to so that they have them at their disposal season over season.
Navigation and View Changes
After some comments from coaches we reviewed a few of the views and have updated navigation or functions for the following:
- Equipment Lists: These were difficult to read so we've changed them all to a better 'sheet' type view that slides over the main view.
- Contacts for Players: In the old position the contacts were difficult to read. These have been changed to the better 'sheet' type view as well.
- Drag / Drop Views: Comments were that it was unnatural to drag from right to left so we changed all of these views to drag from left to right for a more natural flow.
