Very Satisfied

Xodo is the most intuitive PDF reader I've found. I originally started using it for its bookmark functionality, and I later found it had a night mode feature (which for a vampire like me, has been a godsend). And no distracting adverts or features locked behind a paywall as far as I've seen. (Not sure how Xodo makes money.)

I have the UWP version of Xodo on my Windows 10 desktop, which lead me to the iOS version. I was hoping there would be a way I could sync my bookmarks across both devices, but as of Xodo 3.0 it doesn't seem possible. However, the Xodo 3.0 patch notes mention something called Xodo Connect, and that it's support has been temporarily removed. If it Xodo Connect does what I hope it does, then I'll likely return to give it a full 5 star rating.

I'm a musician who'd also into photography, and at this point in my life, I've purchased and downloaded a slew of books and articles in PDF form. I've been using Adobe Acrobat (free version) for years, but have been frustrated by it on my iPad because, for some reason, some books and articles that I can highlight on my desktop, Acrobat will not let me do so on the device. I decided to give Xodo Docs the other day and was delighted to find that I can; what a wonderful free app! Thanks Xodo!

Great PDF editor, great for notes.

I really like Xodo, I had originally downloaded a more popular program, but it was much more difficult to use. I downloaded that program 1 hr before class thinking I could figure it out in an hour that was not the case, but with Xodo I actually downloaded it while I was in class, and was able to start taking notes immediately as well as highlight circle edit etc. love the program, very user-friendly interface, Couldn't ask for anything more.

Great app! Needs Cloud Alternative

Great app with potential! I would to see kids cloud service other than Dropbox, as our company prohibits its use due to security. Otherwise, this is a useful app. Thanks!

Can't access files from desktop version. Why bother?

I hoped to be able to access files uploaded via the desktop browser. The app doesn't let you connect to your xodo account. Shame!

Great for receiving construction plan PDF's

I love this app for receiving plans from the office to use out in the field for construction use. Not sure how will work with large page architectural drawings. For subcontractors, works great. As a fire sprinkler contractor, and use this whenever possible.

So far so good

I downloaded this app, primarily to view and annotate pdf files. Adobe acrobat does not allow you to highlight text which is a major turnoff. This app is free so is a major plus - many apps that support the feature are not free.

One thing I'd like this app to improve is that highlight should be made easy by just tapping and holding-moving, like what iBook does.

I'm used to notability but it isn't as smooth as PDF reader apps like kindle and adobe and iBooks. however the annotation capabilities are limited. Xodo is better, however I didn't see a GoTo page option and I was irritated when I couldn't easily undo an arrow or highlight. Also, the pen mark -up is limited to red and the app doesn't let the Apple Pencil shine through with its magical powers. So continues my quest.

Love this App

I am studying for a major licensing exam and have been using this app to highlight, annotate and markup the PDF version of my study guide.

It has been so helpful and the result is neater than having used the traditional markers and pens. If this sounds like what you need to do, then this is your app. Did I say that it's also Free!

Love some of the features, but in the iOS app importing changes size of layout... Which wouldn't matter if there weren't headers, footers, page breaks, and font and size differences throughout the document..

Easy and versatile PDF editor

I have been looking for a PDF editor that would allow to write on the doc in different colors. Xodo gives me that feature along with the ability to change thickness and opacity and so much more. Ease of use is also amazing. Thank you Xodo team, for an excellent app.

PDF markup

Works great for PDF markup. If your file is in Dropbox and you have Internet, you can markup and it will save the edits in Dropbox. But if you are offline, then you can only save the copy in Xodo, and then you have to copy that file to Dropbox in order to get the edits, which is a hassle if you're marking up several files on an airplane. Anyway, I like how I can write with a stylus, highlight with the cursor, or type a little sticky-note box (and yes toy can see those in Preview when you open the file on your Mac)!

Finally!

I've been waiting for this! I'm in grad school and try to do most of my reading on my iPad (MUCH lighter than lugging around all the texts!). I can open and highlight/underline/make notes in an eBook in iBooks and/or Kindle. Both will read a "proper" PDF and allow you to underline, etc... but they "see" a scanned PDF as one piece, as a picture. Because of this, the nifty highlight, underline & tagging features don't work (they don't recognize text). Xodo processes a scanned PDF in the same way - as a picture - but it allows me to write in free-hand on top of it. So I can underline, circle, draw in arrows, or... and this is the biggest thing for me... write in the margins. With a good fine-point stylus, it's like writing in a textbook. I'm hooked and I'm grateful!

Two more things: Thing 1 - the user interface is simple and intuitive - unlike other apps I looked at, this one made sense and did what it was supposed to right off the bat. Thing 2 - Xodo offers more options for regular ark-ups, such as more than one color for underlining.

The only drawback I found is: I save my work to a dropbox. Mark-ups that I did on a Galaxy tablet were not legible when opened with my iPad. That's fine - I returned the Galaxy, problem solved. But it may be helpful to know.

Let's me keep my annotated papers synced through Dropbox with zero hassle. Annotation tools are easy to use and are read by other programs correctly. My only wish is that the recent documents list would function correctly...

It does what it says but needs to be updated.! There are better readers than this providing features like Tabbed reading, better search functionality and others.

Ho hum...

It does what it says it does. However, there are better apps out there that accomplish the same task. The user interface is not as intuitive, and PDF's take much longer to render correctly than competing apps.

It's free, so not expecting the same quality as paid apps. However, not as good as other free options out there.

Would be good but needs more connectivity!

I have been looking everywhere for an app that works on iPad, AND on the web. I thought Xodo would be my solution as it has a Google Drive app that allows you to annotate from Google Drive, AND a working iPad app. However I was disappointed to see that while I was asked to create a Xodo account for the web app, the iPad app doesn’t talk to the Xodo web account in any way. There is no way to login and access the files you’ve accessed online, or from Google Drive. In addition, you cannot save a file that overwrites another file in Google Drive.

I wish the account would at LEAST communicate with the Online Xodo platform so that you could look at pdfs you’ve access online from a different device, and save it all in one area, so you could edit from multiple devices. The Xodo connect feature doesn’t work well and is stunted. Could be a great app but still needs more work.

Xodo is the best reading app I've ever used.

Some suggestion:

1. Hope Xodo support Mac OS & Windows 7, so I can edit my file on laptop.

2. Hope Xodo support more cloud platform, such as box and baidu cloud platform (In China, dropbox and box are blocked. Considering the user amount in China, it's an opportunity for Xodo team to add this feature.).

This is the best PDF assignment. I have a windows 8 laptop that has limited pdf editors but since I downloaded this app I was able to save and transfer documents between my phone and my laptop! Best app ever

Very intuitive, could be improved

XODO is free and does a good job as a reader with possibility of adding remarks or underlie.

It could improve if:

1. Remove the lens effect while underlying words. It really distracts.

2. Connect to other clouds, such as Box and Google Drive.

It's a better app

It still have some issues, I follow the instructions about how to use the functions but some of those functions do not appear in the toolbar and erases or disappear some of writing if you move to continue writing to another page. Not often but at times it stops working and close itself erasing everything you wrote.

No font size control, or if there is font choice it is hidden.

Nice but useless

At first it seems smooth and really user-friendly but it was a slap in the face when I saw it does not save my annotations!! In fact it can be used only for reading!

By chance I opened in a file in this (from documents 5 app) and opened in it back in documents 5 instantly. To my great surprise the file's size had tripled!!

I hope Apple's app review committee does something about it if the developer didn't bother for a fix; because such a huge bug really seems kind of Androidy!!
