I've been having a problem house breaking my 4 1/2 old puppy. I started using this app and she was accident free the first day. It's very accurate nearly to the minute she has to go potty. I emailed the info to the puppy class trainer. It's very easy to use.

Awesome App!

Just got a puppy about ten days ago. She is now just over 10 weeks old. I was getting frustrated with cleaning after her as her potty schedule shifted when I changed her food. I had the app for two days and it is already pretty accurately tracking the intervals! Wish I knew about this app the first day I got her.

Well Thought-out App

We've been using it for a few days now, and it seems to be really well planned. I would like to see a button for "sleep" so that the user can track piles and puddles in relation to sleep.

Otherwise, excellent diary for housebreaking (I feel a diary is essential) with the added bonus of being predictive and sending alerts. Remarkably useful.

Really helpful!

It's working well for us! I haven't had any problems as other reviewers have reported. Great reminder on timing potty breaks and after just a few days we are seeing a serious reduction in the number of accidents inside the house.

Accident free!

This app is so simple, yet it works like a charm. After just 2 days of using the app, the accidents stopped completely. We haven't had an accident in 3 days. Of course, we're the ones being trained not our puppy.

Not valuable for what I needed

We were looking for a snapshot of our puppy's daily evacuation schedule. This app is more of a predictor, which doesn't help with our training, since he is still so erratic. I would rather see a weekly and daily chart of his eating, sleeping, playing, potty.

So helpful for potty training!

We are working with our new puppy to try to get her potty trained. Of course, the app isn't foolproof (don't get mad at the developer if your puppy still has an accident!) but it has been a huge help! If you enter each time your puppy eats, drinks, puddles, and piles, you can get pretty darn accurate notifications for when she needs to go out. I'm also rating this highly because the app developer is very responsive! The reason it doesn't get five stars in my review is that you cannot share info between two people. I would love to have the one app shared between my husband and me so that we can each enter info and we could each see when e puppy needs to go out. But overall, it's very good at what it does!

Broken

I downloaded the app and played around with it so I know how to use it when my puppy comes in a few weeks. I then went to show and share and hit clear to remove all the fake times I put into it. However, I ended up getting notifications the next day in the early morn that my puppy may have to puddle! Why is it notifying me when I cleared all data?!?! How is it making predictions when no data is in it?!?!

First time Dog Owner - excellent APP

Excellent training APP - works really good ! Worth the 2 dollars🌵

This APP does an excellent job of advising this first time puppy owner when to take the little guy out!

It offers all the key inputs - eating, drinking and then lets you mark when a "potty" is a success or an accident.

This app also lets you share the training history of your puppy via email with other members. Very helpful with my wife and son as we are all on the same page and know when the super star needs to go outside.

Very practical APP, I am glad my wife found it!

Not worth the money

Save the money and just track food and potty on your iCalendar. This app tracks times but it doesn't help you learn their routine. There are no visual aids (like graphs) to help you figure out how often your puppy needs to go. The alerts are only semi helpful IF your phone's volume is up. I've found more use setting alarms on my phone to wake me up at night.

This is the first time that I have to train a puppy by myself. I am glad that I came across this app. It is exactly what I needed. It tracks everything from potty to eating. If there is an accident it's not the fault of the puppy or the app - it's a human error!

Perfect puppy tracking app!

I love this app! It's been really helpful in tracking pee, poop, food & drink as well as predicting the next pee & poop. Only 2 wishes - that it can also track sleep patterns & to fix the "share" functionality so my husband can see instant data as well.

Great app for 1st time puppy owner

This app has really helped my wife and I house train our 8wk old Australian Shepherd!

Only issues I have with the app are technical ones:

1 - The "share" results functionality is not working on my iPhone 7. App says "Failure: your device does not support the sending email."

2 - It would be nice to allow others to download the app and track data for the same dog (e.g. my wife). Other people have also mentioned it would be nice to be able to track more than one dog as well.

For this app to really get a 5 star rating, these features can't be missing.

I was in puppy class yesterday and a girl told the class about this app.

Today I downloaded it am so far very happy with it. Very user friendly.

I think it would be even better if it also kept track of sleeping/napping patterns! I know whenever my puppy wakes up he has to go out right away.

Simple and effective

Great app. Simple and easy to use. One gripe - after a few days worth of entries the data disappears. So you can't go really far back in time in order to get a sense of like a month-long trend of times your pup poops/pees. Otherwise, it's great.

Simple, but Fantastic

I wish I would've thought to look for an app like this sooner. We tried to track our new puppy's schedule on paper, couldn't find it/would forget etc.. At the very least this app reminds you to take notice so you can prevent accidents. It is really helpful & after just a few days is fairly accurate at predicting her needs. Hoping that my husband will be able to load data from his phone too so we can keep it updated/accurate. Maizie is 3 months old & was making progress before with the bells at the door, but sometimes she would be at another door & I didn't know, etc. there were still plenty of accidents - so far NONE (it's only been 5 days), that is serious improvement in my book!

Good app to train owner

This app does a good job of structuring the food/waste watch for puppy owners. Good pups can take weeks to be completely house trained. Ours isn't absolutely there yet, but the app made it easier to stay on top of.

After using this app for only 3 days, it already does a great job of predicting possible potties! My 2 month old puppy is down to only one accident a day in less than one week of potty training. It not only keeps track, it keeps you mindful of your training schedule :) I'm very pleased!

Amazing app!

This makes potty training so easy! Obviously it's not perfect, but it's a great tool that gets better the more you use it. Be sure to log every time your dog drinks, eats, puddles, and piles and the app will predict very well.

Does what it says

I was looking for a way to track my puppy so I could discover patterns and remember when the last time she peed was so I could take her out. App does that perfectly. The predictive feature is a nice bonus and works as a good reminder.

This app is amazing, stopped us from sending our puppy back. Truly works!!!! Would have given five starts but I think this app should also have an Apple Watch app, as you may not always remember to enter success or accident on your phone when you get back inside with the puppy.

IMO, False advertising

After paying for this app I must say I'm extremely disappointed that it will not allow tracking for more than one dog. I was specifically looking for an app that would load multiple dogs, we have two puppies. Additionally in the app description it they show a screen shot that says "change dog", this is not an option on the actual app, and it seems very misleading. It was because of the screenshot I decided to Purchase the app and not use a free app I had previously downloaded and started to use.

With that said, after reading the reviews, I am hopeful it can aid with predicting my puppies needs even if it can only track one dog.

Not really a training app

So, I have to give this only 3 stars. I think it's a great app for keeping track of what your dog does but I don't think it accurately tells you when your dog is trained. I got all the stars within in the first 4 days which means I was supposed to have a trained dog. Not so. She is still far from potty trained. But like I said, it is good for keeping track of when your dog may need to go out again. But even then, most of the time it didn't really predict right. So much else goes into it. Such as naps, exercise, and little drinks during the day. I'm going to keep using it and see if it gets better but so far I'm not super pleased.

Well worth the price!

Using this app makes it so much easier to track timing for pees and poops. Since we've started using the app, our 12-week old pup who we've had about 10 days is now having one accident every other day or so rather than daily accidents. Plus the app notifications to me (a woof on my phone and a buzz on my watch) give me the nudge I need to take him out NOW.

A miracle for me!

Before I found this app I was struggling with consistency for a month so we had LOTS of accidents. After this app, we have had maybe a handful of accidents, usually because I didn't wake up when she alerted me. Is the app perfect? Not at all. But it did what I wanted -- it proactively reminded me to take out the puppy. At one point it did notify me every 15 minutes to do something, but I didn't care. The end result is there and my puppy and I are on to the next phases of training - opening up the rest of the house and using the dog door.

Maybe just not right for my pup

I've tried to give this app the benefit of the doubt, but after a month of accurate data entry this app does not accurately suggest times when my pup needs go pee.

I gave the app 2 stars because it still is slightly helpful in showing how full the pup's bowels are. Other than that it feels like entering data is a tedious fools errand.

Other people seem to have better luck judging from the other reviews but it never really worked for me.

It works!

I've been using the app for about a week with my 14 week old male Goldendoodle. Love the interface- it's so easy and fun. :-).

My little buddy's got a strange pattern so far, but according to the stars we are making progress. I'm more relaxed, he's more comfortable and we're working together rather than struggling with each other. I have confidence we're getting there!

This app is amazing!

We bought a puppy on Monday and simply were not able to protect his pee or poop schedule. I search for this app and started using it on Thursday. It has made our puppy's schedule completely predictable. Plus it alerts you when it might be time for puppy to "puddle" or "pile" to go. Two days later and the puppy stands at the back door when he has to go poop because we've been able to get him outside every time. I'm a very happy new puppy owner, this app contributes to my joy of owning a puppy.

This app is absolutely wonderful....it helps to not only house train your dog but it trains the human eye to look for signs of when your puppy needs to relieve himself and the hearts fill up and show an estimated time so you have an idea of when he will need to puddle or pile. As long as you enter correct times of when they last ate or drank and when they last peed or pooped, your not left with little surprises all over your home. Again, it's a wonderful app....try it....trust me it's priceless!

A brilliantly designed and functional app!

I was once a frustrated and confused first-time puppy owner. I read everything I could on how to house train my maltipoo; I was using Reminders to alert me to take him out and tracking things in Excel. But we were still having accidents. Lots of them. I knew there had to be a better way. Enter Puddle & Pile. This amazing app has saved us both a lot of frustration and has made a huge difference in our bonding. I can now enjoy my puppy, and he doesn't have to worry about when and where to go. Thank you!

A Great Help!

I knew there should be something like this in the App Store, and finally I found it. We have been using the app for a week with our 10-week old pup. You log eat and drink times, toilet events (and whether they are "success" or "accident") and the app learns when to tell you to take your dog outside for another puddle or pile. It works very well right from the start. Accidents have decreased from two or three a day to one every second or third day.

Positives: (1) Very easy to use with one touch data entry, (2) Accurate predictor of puddle time (our pup's pile times are less frequent than app thinks they are--but the app is learning!) (3) Good notification feature with alert and sound.

Improvements suggested (1) It would be great for multiple phones to enter data on the same dog. (2) The percentage report is kind of weird. I *think* I understand what it is trying to tell me, but I wonder if there is isn't a clearer way to present the information.

Ability to sync with another caregiver would make this app amazing.

My sister is helping us train our puppy while I'm at work. It would be great not to have to text each other when the puppy goes so we can both log it in our apps. If it were able to sync to one account so it would come up on both our phones that would be ideal and would make this an amazing app!!

This app has the right idea but is too limited for my needs. If my husband takes the dog out in the middle of the night, it can't be logged in retroactively. If you miss the two hour window you're too late to log in. Cloud syncing with multiple caregivers would make it perfect.

Yay!! Five days accident free

I can only speak about this app for the last five days. We just got a 7 1/2 week old puppy. With assistance from this app we have had no accidents. Just remember that this app helps you by reminding you to take your puppy out, but think about errorless learning don't allow your puppy to fail. Restrict the pup to a small area and only allow them to use that area just after the pup has gone out. Otherwise I create my little one until he has gone outside.

Potty trained my puppy from day 1

I've always been really terrible at potty training puppies. I lose track of time and they have accidents. This app is absolutely perfect because it learns from your puppy and it alerts you when they need to go out.

My puppy has megaesophogus so I have to be really on top of when I feed him and his made it easy to keep track of feedings as well. It takes the thinking and planning out of house training a puppy. I use this app constantly and we haven't had any accidents since the first day I started using it.

I downloaded a few apps to see what worked best for us, but this one is my favorite because there's no unnecessary junk. The other ones seemed like they wanted you to write a dissertation on your puppy. I really just need to know when to take him out. This is simple, adorable, easy, and effective.

By the way, this is my first time writing an app review! I liked the app that much that I felt obligated to, lol.

I'm able to trust this app more and more. I still have to listen to my puppy, but I have a better idea when she's going to be ready to go out. Almost perfect!

I got this when my 8 week old Lab puppy came home! It had been a long time since I had to potty train and this was perfect to help get us on a schedule. It took about 24-36 hours until it picked up his patterns and has been really accurate since. Something's I would change...

Being able to put in the actual time, rather than the options. Because often I don't have my phone and it's been longer than 30 minutes but less than an hour..

Also that the age would change as the dog grows on its own, rather than doing it myself.

Easy to use

I downloaded this app for my lab puppies that are 11 weeks old. It's very easy to use and is accurate and helpful. The only improvement I would suggest is the ability to track for more than one puppy at a time.

I love that you can customize it with my dogs photo- nice touch.

Must have for any puppy owner!!!

I have raised 2 puppy into great house trained adult dogs. Always wanted something easy to log when the puppy goes to the bathroom so I could determine a pattern and make life easier! This App does it all!!!!

I would always start writing the times down but soon would get lazy with it and stop all together. This app is so easy to do!!! Just Click and that's it!!

It really is a great app! Really glad I found it for our new puppy!!!

And the big thing is; it WORKS!!!! One day the app was telling me that my dog had to take a Pile, and I thought this thing doesn't work, the dog just took one 3 hours ago. Just to be safe I stayed outside with him a little longer and sure enough, he Piled!!!

This app is kind of ridiculous on how accurate it is!!! Worth the price If that means less accident "puddles" and "piles" to clean up :) I vouch that this app will help with when your dog needs to "go". This app has been a great aid in helping us house train our new puppy. It is surprisingly accurate. A few things I wish were different...

1. I would prefer icons rather than the script-style font to indicate piddle, pile, food or water.

2. The ability to log exercise and naps/crate time.

3. The ability for multiple family members to track puppy's progress across different devices.

4. Also, I agree with other reviewers that the history is a bit confusing to find.

Most helpful app ever!

With four kids, a cat, and an 8 week old puppy, we needed something to help us manage house training. This app has really been a lifesaver, both in reminding us when to take puppy out, and in predicting when she WONT need to go out, so we can plan outings with less risk of accidents. It is not 100% accurate, but then I don't enter the info with 100% accuracy, either.

One thing that I did not figure out right away is that you can look back on all your entries. This is nice for when you can't remember whether you entered the last pile or not. It is hard to figure out how to get to this feature though...you have to go to settings, then show and share, and then click on any % probability number to view the history. Would be nice to have an easier way to view history. I also would love to be able to track other things that impact puddles and piles, such as sleeping and exercise. Even as is, this is the most helpful app I have ever bought.

So far so good!

Since my phone doesn't have a function that will alarm me every 2 hours to take my new puppy out, this app came in handy. I'm not the best at house training a dog, and this app is definitely gonna help. So far it's alerted me several times on whether or not my puppy may need to "eliminate". If only it could log naps, so you could accurately time the next time my puppy needs to go out. It's great for a reminder and consistency is key! Thanks a lot to the people who made this app.

Just what I was looking for when I got my new puppy. Pretty accurate with the times. It needs to include nap time too. Also, you can share the time log, but when you do, it's in an unrecognizable format which makes it useless. It should be in excel or something.

Loving this app!

Just brought home my new "border terrier" puppy and I must admit I was a little lost trying to figure out when I needed to take her out for a potty break. I'm crate training her so this app has been great for that. So far so good it's pretty accurate. I would give it 5 stars but if there was a list that showed when my puppy last ate, drank, puddle or pile. There's a share option to show your puppy's progress during the day but it doesn't list what I entered.
