Needs work

I like the game, I’ve even paid to get more messages, but why do things just randomly remove themselves from my inventory?

I’ll ask a shopkeeper if they have something for sale , & 100 silver are just removed, didn’t buy anything, & custom helmet I had made, just removed itself from my inventory during a conversation?! For no reason if this keeps up, I’m canceling my subscription.

ChatGPT does it better 🤷🏼‍♂️

I run multiple campaigns within ChatGPT, and I was excited when I saw this App, but when I tried it…it’s just flatly not as good. Load times, class limitations…etc. None of that happens in GPT. It pulls from whatever PHB and DMG you tell it to and keeps it fast and fresh, any classes, multiclassing, home brewing, GPT does it better. 2 stars for originality.

As critical as I can

I got this app earlier tonight however there are major flaws with this app.

1: if you try to create your own character it freezes when you try to write down the name.

2: the AI takes somewhere between 3-5 minutes to respond

3: random crashing

4 and possibly the WORST offender: it limits you behind a paywall after 200 messages a month and if you want to do more for let’s say 1000 messages a month then you have to pay nearly $100 every 6 months just to continue RPing

Thing to approve

I been playing for a while and paid the money subscription but you should increase the message to 450 or more for the basic pack because I spent multiple messages talking to the ai one of these were about get a dagger that was worse then the free weapon I got even after spending multiple coin and quest to make the dagger I wanted. Increase the message unit the ai get better for this app. I really do like this app and hope it approves but please think about getting us more messages until the ai approves thank you

please i beg of you im addicted.

the game is so fun. how unique the AI is with your exact actions giving flair to your character. i’ve fell in love with this game so much i just wish it was more free to play friendly but i understand it’s costly to run a mobile game especially off of AI. however as a monthly subscriber, if i paid for the month i should be able to play for the month. paying per message is trash ngl love the game but if its a money siphon i could just have chat gpt play the game with me. still 5/5 just so limiting.

Great game

This is amazing and such a great game! I hope that one day there is sponsorship for it to make it less pricey. I would be down if this was a P2P app, but I’m not down for a subscription, sorry. I would 100% put money down on it tho.

Thank you for scratching my DnD itch! It’s a bummer that I have to wait a month when I didn’t even get through my first quest. But I will wait for it!

As a side note: I do also appreciate the collection of only necessary data, not grabbing things like my email address and name. So thank you for that

I really wanted to play this but…

I was excited when I saw an ad for this game. I had been playing role playing games with from for a while now.

Imagine my incredible disappointment when I finished downloading this visually stunning game only to discover I can’t even play it because I can’t scroll through things on character creation. I can’t even type my character’s backstory. Many windows I go to in settings I can’t even go back to a previous window. I have tried googling this problem I’ve tried several different ways to fix the issue. Nothing has worked. So, it gets 1 star for being a game I suppose. It’s pretty. But it’s little more than a screen saver.

Fun, but could use some QoL changes

ive found the game to be a decent use of ai to create a game that feels like its alive and adjusts to you, my only issues with this game are the lack of options, and it seems like every menu you open simply just lacks a back/return button, so you cant go from main menu->profile->main menu, you have to close the game completely to return to the main menu. aside from that, everything is just about what you'd expect going into it, a few spell names have been changed but aside from that it plays really similarly to D&D 5e and i feel like its a good place to get into roleplaying games if you have no prior experience with them or dont yet have a group to play with and want to see what its like to play before committing to reaching out. would've rated 5 stars, but theres just a few tweaks that need made first

I LOVE IT!

It’s so fun to have a real feeling dnd, even as an ai. I haven’t played dnd a whole lot, but it’s so fun and easy even for new players. I do wish there were more messages and other races and classes you can play as, but I understand it with paying for it yourself. Overall I love the game!

Seems like something for Patreon not the App Store

Not only does it nearly require the paid tier to be used more than one day per month, you don’t even get unlimited messages with the best tier.

The settings menus don’t even have back buttons so you need to close the app everytime you enter them.

That dosen’t even start with the extremely limited number of options. Only the basic races, 5 classes with only one caster and only option is to start at lv1.

This app could be good in a few years. The AI dm is competent enough but it still won’t come close to a real person.

Amazing but needs work

I’ve been playing D&D for about 10 years and this by far is the best mobile D&D experience I’ve ever had. The AI is so good and I love the embellishments that it makes. The issues I have is the lack of back buttons. On the Home Screen if I were to go to the options menu or go to the menu to add more messages, there is no back button. I click on them to look at things and then I have to close the whole app down otherwise I’m just stuck in that window. Also I understand that running a program like this is expensive but the monthly subscriptions to me don’t seem worth the money. I would pay for a monthly subscription for this game (which I’ve never said before) if there was more value to it. As the game progresses and evolves I’m curious to see what else is added to this game. If the monthly subscription has more value then I will definitely be subscribing. Overall, this game is amazing and I absolutely recommend it!

Needs adjusting

This app is really cool. I’ve played DnD for years and this has great potential. I don’t agree however that it takes an entire month to reload your messages even if you subscribe. For the higher subscription it should just be unlimited and the smaller should reload weekly. Realistically the free one should reload weekly but still be the same amount of messages reloaded

Feedback

This app is good. My feedback is to work on the capability with screen reader because every time I use my screen reader to use your app, the game freezes up and maybe add a narrator voice so the actions all that would be said out loud.

Hands down the best game I’ve played on mobile in a long time.

I am having such an amazing time playing this game, the story I’m currently in is so well put together I’m completely entranced into finding out what happens next for my character! Although there are a few things that need to be addressed in a later update and hopefully allowing pathfinder subscribers more messages frequently rather than a month at a time, I strongly urge everyone to try this game out. I promise you will have a fun time!

Also on a side note, this part I address to the developers, one thing that needs to be fixed soon is the currency system. Sometimes receiving coins or losing coins happens randomly and it breaks the immersion a bit. Please check as soon as possible. Thank you.

I really like it.

I’ve played for a couple hours now, testing out some things here and there. I think that this is a great concept and it works beautifully. Some things I do want said though… I wish that the game had more classes available, and more visuals would be amazing. It would help a lot if we could see an image of the person we are speaking to or creature we are fighting.

Also… the monetization is a little steep. I feel like 60 free messages a month is incredibly stingy. And the plans are a bit expensive. I’d happily pay those prices for UNLIMITED messages, but instead the highest is only 1,000 a month, then you have to buy MORE.

I want this game to work out and succeed… but there are certainly things that need to be added and there needs to be more love shown to free users.

You don’t have freedom

I tried this game because I could find nobody that actually also likes DnD but me. So when I saw this I instantly downloaded it but I shouldn’t have. If you try to make your own character your are very limited on race, and class which is ok I understand. But when you type in your name the game instantly freezes and when you load it back up it forgets your character completely.

So you have to remake it only for it to freeze again, so you HAVE to choose from their made characters. It’s better to try and find friends than try to play dnd with a clanker, that’s what I learned.

The game is great i started as a rogue and made my character it wasn’t until i tired to make a warlock who need the stat that was last on the list and without being up to scroll or being unable to add to the charisma stat making a warlock unplayable if this get fixed the. 5 stars

Does give an authentic D&D vibe, but it’s currently limitations…makes it lose its charm. Increasing the number of races and classes would be nice. But the biggest issue is the limiting the response by month. If you could switch monthly refills to daily refills, could make the gameplay more tolerable. Eh

It’s… very much failing mechanically. It does try its best and is fairly consistent with character names and plot. Adheres to logic and pays attention to classes and stuff. However it also just flat out cheats. Refuses to knowledge you if you talk to it player to dm. It lies about damage rolls, the dice will randomly change numbers on it, advantage and disadvantage mean absolutely nothing, and mechanically it means nothing to do some acts.

For example. My rouge was fighting a monster. I landed a crit with advantage and so my sneak attack was active. I should deal 2d6+4 even ignoring the crit. The game tells me I dealt 3 damage… which isn’t even possible. The enemy didn’t resist the damage either it just cheated. Then I was reduced to 1 hp. My party member healed me, and the number for health on my screen did not change. Then I disengaged and succeeded a hide bonus action. The enemy then proceeded to walk over to me and attack me, without getting any opportunity attacks from my allies, had no disadvantage despite me being hidden, and then hit me for 4… and I was still on one health. When I pointed this out to the dm it never responded and only loaded a message for about ten minutes or so before I closed the app.

Mechanically the app is an absolute MESS, is not worth spending the $30 for the few months of getting more messages. And it’s slow at loading, just a side note annoying thing.

Good game but..

It really looks good, i love the ai’s description of everything, the dice is a bit annoying, not sure if its truly random, i got 7s like 5 times in a row when i rolled, but maybe my luck was just bad lol.

For the message limit, i do think its absurd its by month and not something like by week. Annoying? Yes. But idk why you made the choice for that. I will keep the app to see if it grows into something better and ill share this with some friends who enjoy dnd to see what they think too!

The AI is Broken and Will Lie to You

The core game is actually really good and the AI acts as a good dungeon master for everything except for dice rolls and remembering anything important.

For example if you have armor enchanted to glow when goblins are within 500 feet you can still get ambushed by goblins (you can tell the AI that it made a mistake and it’ll only correct it after arguing back and forth with it). Also, the AI will not add anything from modifiers, bonuses, proficiencies, etc.

So it doesn’t matter if you have +3 or +5 or whatever on certain categories, the AI will not add anything even if you constantly remind it. I figured out a solution by telling the AI it needs to say the total score for a roll so it never accidentally says that a roll is a failure. The AI did it one time and never did it again after that even after multiple demands to do it. It would just say something along the lines of “My apologies, I forgot to say the score”.

It even lied about how the score is calculated by saying it’s done one way and later contradicting itself by saying it’s actually done a different way.

Also, only being allowed 100 interactions a month before being forced to fork over money is a scam.

Great game but 2 problems

This would be five stars but I have two major issues that kinda kill it for me. 1: not enough races or classes. This really limits creativity for character creation and wider fields of gameplay. 2: LIMITED MESSAGES PER MONTH!!! I don’t mind having to pay for extra messages or even a subscription to support the game but if it was per week instead, it would allow me to be on it a bit more. The AI DM is highly detailed and has a solid memory. The story telling is top notch and really makes you have to think about to approach scenarios. I think the coins should be separated and weapons and other gear/items should not be removed from the inventory if you cannot pay for anything. having knowledge that the coin bag is set to silver coins would have made finances easier. Leveling is simple and fair based off accomplishing several things. I massively enjoy this game and hope that the chat limit from a month to a week gets changed. I honestly cannot wait to see how the story further develops.

Best D&D game out there!

I recently discovered this game and my god if this is not the best game I have found for d&d. With the ai dungeon master to having full freedom to express your actions. I’ve played d&d for 15 years now and I’ve tried a lot of games, I can truly say this is the only one I have found that fits the ticket. I hope in the future there will be more hype for this game and will allow the developer to do even more and push more out there for us.

How are you not able to go back or even scroll on the selection menus , on iOS and can’t create a character , and if I click a menu option I have to close the app just to go back , txt falls off screen it’s sloppy .

Great Potential

This is a fantastic idea, and I love how they’ve incorporated AI into the story telling. I am just unable to actually play it. Every custom character I create leads to a “:” being displayed on the screen, and every pre gen character I get one to two prompts in and the app just crashes.

I got one of five custom characters to work while writing this, but then the same thing happened as with the pre generated characters, app crash and every time I try to reload the game it crashes again

I like the concept, and the storyteller is very detailed. It’s definitely something worth keeping an eye on, but with only a few races and 4 classes, none being full casters, I just don’t see myself doing much until more gets added.

Not perfect, but wow

I normally do not write reviews, so the first thing I did was looked at all the negative reviews. There are some good points… The application is not as polished as it should be in terms of features, such as character name, backing out of menus… But the core of the game is excellent.

As a long time player and dungeon master, I am amazed at the quality of the writing, even though I am using a default character I didn’t design. That is not the point. The point is that for an application that uses AI, it feels as if there is another person on the other side of the phone acting as a DM. I did run out of messages the first day. As soon as I can, I will be buying more messages to improve my experience and hopefully allow the team to further refine this amazing app.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE bad paywall

i had an awesome time playing this game, i was barely into my adventure after eliminating a scaled beast and buying stew i walked to another town and i was very eager to continue my mission, however, i am greeted with a message that i am out of messages. “no big deal” i think to myself, “ill wait till tomorrow” OUT OF MESSAGES TILL NEXT MONTH??!!! what the heck dude. i love this app but i am a child and my mom wont buy me the addons so i am forced to wait a month😞😞good game bad paywall. money is a necessity i understand but a month of wait time is completely unnecessary.

Absolutely Incredible!

I have been a DnD player for 6 or so years, which helped me immensely while playing this game. I just had 2 days off work and spent those 2 day completely immensely immersed in the game and was able to use all 1000 of my messages in that time. I am more than hooked on this game. Thank you devs!

Great game, but hard to justify paying for.

I love it honestly, but I subscribed ran out of messages to keep playing and I can’t even buy more messages if I wanted to. One month is a long wait to play again. Kinda feels like I’m paying a subscription for maybe 4 or 5 days of game a month. There has to be a better way for the pay structure to be laid out. As is I might as well pay for an AI and build my own version.

Bugs out of nowhere

Was loving it didn’t even mind the pay scheme that much figured a month wasn’t a bad deal. What I do mind was spending like an hour setting up an ambush just to find out that none of my dudes with me were gonna join the fight and killing my character because i tried to single handedly fight 4 dudes. Still no big deal. I can start again. The big deal is now after that first play through every new character I make can only generate like 5 things before it just crashes every time I open the save. Great concept, mid execution, good stepping stone to what will one day be a good game.

Was fun at first, but quickly bugged.

It was honestly kinda fun to start, but the first battle sequence happened and the AI DM INSISTED that I didn’t actually defeat the enemies and even when provided with previous text showing the events stated it was a mistake for no reason and that it “corrected” by restarting me even after I’d looted the bodies… super frustrating and just deleted it at that point.

Not bad but can use some fixes

I’ll be honest when I first got this this was pretty fun. But then there is one key issue that you only get like 60 messages per month?! And I know it’s not free to run an AI system make cost a real life money but you can’t really keep a player waiting for a month just so we can send 60 messages. That player will most likely forget about it and never come back. A great tip, which might sound a little money hungry is adding ads but rechargeable ads so you can watch like one ad that’s 30 seconds long and you could get like 10 messages back. Makes the game money and also makes it so players don’t have to wait as long

Immersive But Technical Issues

I was instantly immersed with the story I was participating in and wanted more. A warning though, there might be technical issues with the paywall or it might just be how it’s setup, but I’ve paid for a six month subscription through the App Store and you don’t seem to unlock more messages instantly. My subscription in the app still hasn’t been updated and it doesn’t seem to be working. Five or six dollars a month is basically a cup of coffee or bag of chips. It’s your money to do with as you please. I’d advise getting the subscription through the app if you’re willing to pay. Hopefully the issues are addressed.

I want to give it a chance but… (update)

The game freezes any time I try to enter an original characters name. It’s super frustrating. Using the pre-made options seems to work but that option isn’t appealing when I’m being offered an OC option. Hopefully devs fix this.

So update, came back a week later and I was able to create a custom, character. Awesome. Ran through the 60 allowed messages in free tier and so I gave the paid tier a shot. Except the game IMMEDIATELY crashed after my first die roll. Now, I can’t continue the story with that character. Tried making a new character just in case and the same thing happens with that one. I’m screaming. How is a higher tiered PAID subscription worse service??? This app has so much potential but it such a mess.

SO GOOD but it needs fixing

As a person who had played DnD a lot this dungeon master surprised me with the level of detail in it’s descriptions and how well it could go off my actions. I think the people that are blasting the game with bad reviews because of the pay wall are being a bit unfair. The pay wall to get more messages is annoying but I was so addicted to the game I subscribed as soon as I ran out the trail.

I really want to see the developers continue to optimize and tweak the game.

Pros:

- The descriptions of the world and my actions are on par with an experienced real DM

- The game works with the player to weave the story that you want

- The AI is able to recall surprisingly fine details of characters and locations

Cons:

- The obvious pay wall in order to get more messages a month

- Occasionally the game forgets what weapons my character has or gives too much or too little of an item

- My rolls for some reason felt unbalanced and I kept getting awful rolls. There’s bad luck on the dice and then there’s just plain unfair

Overall I really want this to do well because the developers have the start of something great in their hands!

Warning!

I can’t play this game anymore. I played it once. Death here is truly permanent. My character died…. for those who don’t invest a lot in their chars. This game is for you. For me, I cried. I invest too much into characters. So, to see them die like that. After fleshing out a life for them. Having friends. A person who is more than a friend and they die? I just, don’t have it in me. I’ll stick with writing RP from now on, I have more control of that. But if you aren’t like me and want a good story, this game is for you. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go cry some more.

Fantastic game, poor oversights on QoL

This game is actually really fun and the AI is really good and as I’ve learned, is barely filtered if it has one at all. It runs on a limited amount of messages per month (60 per month) which I think is a little disappointing, but considering the developer says they are a single individual it’s understandable to want a subscription for costs and all. The sub is also rather affordable compared to MANY other generative AI apps, this games sub being only $6 USD. I only with the sub came with unlimited messages instead of only 300 or 1000 depending on the tier. An actually REALLY bad oversight is the lack of a back or exit button on many menus. Just exploring the setting I have to close the app to go back to the main menu. This is an issue that persists in every single menu option and needs to be addressed ASAP!

Really promising besides the glitches

I was really impressed with the AI DMs ability to describe the scenes and actions, and even pick up on subtlety during roleplay interactions. For example it could tell from context whether dialogue was sarcastic or playful. Very impressive

There’s a monthly limit of how many messages/interactions (100 I think), but it’s only $5 more for 500 interactions, so it’s not bad for the entertainment value

Only downside so far is the game seems to glitch out during inventory transactions, like trying to buy and sell things at shops. I’ll randomly have items removed I didn’t want to sell, and one time all my coins just magically vanished along with my items.

Weapon bug

I never write reviews but I love this so I am going to , the game has played beautifully so far and have no major complaints but I made a magical weapon and I never got the actual weapon, I combined a shadow griffin Fell Talon and Golem heart shard with my Master work Great Axe and I never got the actual weapon item which was named Earthrender by the NPC hermit enchanter so hopefully things like this are fixed in the future

Limited interaction

I downloaded this to play a game, after about 500 messages I got told that I would need to sign up and pay for continued play which is reasonable, but none of the tiers were free of restrictions, you can burn through the entire first paid tier in a couple of hours, the actual length of a normal dnd game, and be unable to play for an entire month.

I did enjoy the game while it lasted but I certainly won’t be paying for a dnd game that is at most pretty ok, that I get 1 session a month with.

Great potential

This has potential to be a great game just need a few touch ups like being able to increase stats through training and when you give/drop/reequip items it would show in your inventory also I wish the spells you train says it got stronger but the profile of the spell still says the same other than those little errors it’s a great game in under 100 message I fought against undead, cultist, giant snake and meg duergars and their elder but all of that spans in 100 message and does not happen to close also healing while resting is nice it saved me from dying to snake

A ton of fun, when it works.

This game has such potential. When it is working it’s a ton of fun very good story and decent combat accurate to D&D. Sadly you get 30 messages free then you have to pay which is acceptable and I see why, but you don’t get more free messages for an entire month. I can see people having fun then forgetting about the app by the time the messages renew. Also I paid for more messages I felt it was worth it, but now after 20 or 30 messages it crashes and anytime I try to continue that character it crashes instantly making them unplayable. Hope this gets fixed cause it’s amazing when it works but with bugs and long waits on new free messages I can’t give it full stars even if it deserves them when it’s working.

I really enjoy this app

Almost everything about the ai in this app is absolutely amazing. I love its storytelling, it’s character descriptions, interactions, and world building. I’ve played two other AI GM apps so far and to be honest they lacked where this one shined. My only gripe, and the reason i do not give this five stars is the amount of messages you can freely receive and the price to pay to get more. But beggars can’t be choosers I guess.

But yeah I over all love this app and hope to see it grow and possibly even get just a tad cheaper as it does

Amazing start, room for growth

The core mechanics of what is going on is absolutely amazing. Very well done!

I think for people who are much more familiar with DND would notice some elements missing. I.e. the game will say you attack with an advantage but doesn’t specifically indicate what the hit bonus is… if it’s there. I am fine that these things will get changed later. Also would love to see additional classes added in… also a goal that I am sure is being worked on.

The main screen menu is difficult to navigate, if you accidentally click on certain buttons there is no way to go back to the main menu without closing the game. This should hopefully be an easy fix. Another hopefully easy fix would be to have more help icons that tell you what certain traits and abilities do with a little more detail.

The inventory menu still has a few bugs when purchasing and equipping items from the vendors… example: I would send a message asking for my specific A/C and the game lists out a 17. When it came to battle shortly later I only had an AC of 14 because the inventory didn’t update correctly. The HP bar is similarly buggy and isn’t reliable in updating especially after healing.

Still. All of this considered. This is absolutely fantastic and would recommend! I look forward to continued content releases.

This is almost unplayable

Absolutely love the AI’s descriptions and interactions. Was immediately awed by the interesting interactions I had in town. However once I encountered combat I realized this is not even close to D&D and it an almost unplayable mess.

- the GM can’t remember my armor class from fight to fight and has to be corrected in every single encounter. It simply cannot remember that mage armor is active even when it narratively mentions the hum of my magic defenses…

- the GM can’t comprehend how spells or abilities work at all. Whenever I cast an area affect spell even though the GM will tell me it hit like 5 creatures it only actually applies the spell to a single creature. When I explained this to the AI, it told me I was correct but the it only applied it to one more creature and used another one of my spell slots lol.

- in short it’s great for storytelling but once you encounter a fight it completely falls apart and there is no way the developer doesn’t know this. A total ripoff.

Love this!

This has been a phenomenal experience. I am playing out the story of a warlock who has embraced his patron lord and is currently creating chaos and havoc in towns. It’s been incredibly fun to have the DM recognize my characters path and set up opportunities to drive the story deeper. There are a few technical aspects that need work, currently I seem to have to close the app to return to the main menu from any tab I open. And I had to uninstall and reinstall the game after it repeatedly crashed during gameplay. There is a discord server with troubleshooting tips that was helpful.

Also be prepared to purchase additional messages from the DM to progress your game otherwise you’ll have to wait a month!

Frustratingly short experience

This game is awesome. Absolutely amazing design with the character building and the role playing possibilities. The options for characters are quite limited but I assume that will expand as time goes on… maybe. Why I rated this so low is because you can use it for a short while, and then BAM, with no warning whatsoever, the game prevents you from continuing unless you pay money. Pretty dirty little trick, getting me hooked and then forcing me to pay money to continue playing. What’s worse than that is you are still limited to how much you can play, even after paying. The cheaper monthly plan gives you only 300 messages per month, while the more expensive plan gives you 1000. And if those are used up, you have to shell out EVEN more if you want to play more. At the rate I went through the trial messages, I could easily get through the 300 message pack in a SINGLE NIGHT. No way I’m paying for this to only use it one a month. What a ripoff. I should have given it one star, but the design is really good and you can tell someone put work into that. But if you want a roleplaying experience, I suggest just going and downloading a single-player campaign scenario from google, or using chat GPT if you’re already paying for that. These people are misers.

Love the idea, needs work

I really love this app. I’m finding that it’s interesting and a new way to look at DnD. However, the app needs a lot of work. There’s no “back” button that lets you get back to the main menu when you’re in settings and stuff. There’s also not a lot of race options or class options. Luckily you can kind of play around with it because of the AI, but it would be nice to have more stuff. Also, my app is bugged now. I’m probably 7-10 messages in and when I press “continue” the app closes itself. Not quite sure what to do about that. Looking forward to updates and such!

Inspiring

Let me start off by saying I’ve never left a review in my life. I feel like this is the start of something groundbreaking. These people are the same people who came up with the idea to slice bread. I only have two negative considerations, the subscription is expensive and combat needs some refining. I understand money is needed to refine the AI to work out the kinks but there’s has to be some consideration to the user. This is a mobile game not an MMORPG. I would love to continue exploring this phenomenal creation, but I refuse to pay 5-15 dollars a month for a mobile game that doesn’t even give you unlimited access its either 300 messages a month for 5$ or 1000 messages for 15$. You can blow through 100 messages in less than one day for reference. The price point to user access needs to be adjusted.

I enjoy this

I really like this because the dm is very good at making almost any of my prompts work fluidly with the story and also makes this feel like a proper game of dnd. My only complaints are that I run out of free prompts really fast and that there is no system to keep track of things like pets (I got myself a rabbit that I trained for combat and it’s listed as a ‘live rabbit’ item in my inventory) but I think that with just a bit more work/fixing and a few more updates this will be an even better game!

Has its flaws as anything does

First I will say this is an amazing thing the DM is constantly improving adding more depth to the story or adding more descriptive words to something you are doing and has risks constantly and as a person who play dnd all I can this is amazing it’s the best single player story you could ever play as far as negatives I would say most aren’t fault if you don’t explain what you want to do properly it can backfire for example I said I want to sell my old weapons and armor in my backpack and it sold everything I had cuz it was all old equipment so if you are more in depth with what you do you shouldn’t have any problems. The class list is restricted but it’s new so more will come. The only other thing that some would say is bad in the amount of messages you can send is very limited but I love it so I don’t mind supporting the game so that’s not a problem for me

I want to like this

I want to start off by saying that the ai is really good and runs pretty well. I also want to say that limiting messages is fine, a lot of apps do that and it makes sense for a business model. The problem, however, is how the limit is set. While I would understand putting a daily or even weekly cap on messages, having to wait a month for more is just greedy. On top of that the subscription also still gives a monthly limit, albeit a larger one, that’s still really limiting. The unfortunate reality is that even with the subscription it’s designed to make you buy messages multiple times or wait a month which in my opinion is just too much and, if I’m not misunderstanding intentions, greedy. As far as the game itself it seems to work pretty well with minor crashes when pressing the x on items while equipping them. I want to like this, and I like the AI, but it’s just not worth the trouble.

Good Potential, Good Fun, Rework UI

Just stumbled on this today and I found it very fun and engaging. The AI actually does a good job of story telling and describing what is going on. It hasn’t repeated things too often for me. I think this has potential to go places and be expanded upon. I do wish the UI made navigating menus a bit more intuitive so that it doesn’t require closing out of the game and then restarting it to exit a menu. I would also be willing to watch ads for more messages because the subscriptions are a bit of a hard sell since they still come with message limits. Ads would also allow for people to play for free while still allowing the team behind this game to make a bit more money.

Pretty solid. A few minor bugs.

Its a pretty great story so far. Its compelling, and the DM makes references all the way from my first encounter, its solid. One main issue i have is that during combat i am the only person that gets attacked (I’ve only had one combat encounter so far so it may have been a glitch, but i don’t think so.) i had another person with me and even when they attacked and i didn’t i would get a “its focus remains on you” even if i ran or specifically asked my partner to block the next hit so i can prepare a spell. I was nearly killed in the first fight because of this. (Had to make 2 death saves) It’s a wonderful story and I’m invested so please fix this bug, Thanks!

Experienced DM and Player

Great experience and potential. The AI powered dm does a great job with independently creating a unique story and descriptive story telling. The little tips about adding flair to your messages and directly asking for themes you like are critical to fleshing out how the dynamic DM interprets your story and guides your journey.

The only bugs I’ve encountered are involving the DM not registering items in your inventory and “gaslighting” you because it doesn’t recognize what occurred previously. However that only happened once. Some UI issues with not being able to exit settings screens once accessed also occurred but with the app in early development this can easily be fixed.

Overall amazing experience and the only real problem I have had is that I reached the messaging limit pretty quickly even after purchasing the adventurer pack. I feel that if the message refresh were divided weekly instead of monthly I would be more engaged with returning to the app. Now I have to wait a whole month to return to the story, although it is my fault for loving it so much

Wanted it to be real?

I have downloaded twice to make sure that it wasn’t just like a one time install issue. The character creator is bugged in so many ways so badly that you can’t even complete a character. It’s also very limited. Only 4 classes which like ok fair enough. But I can’t even get past the enter a custom name for my character. I can’t scroll on the attributes page to fully assign all my points. It’s just terrible broken at this point. Will come back later and see if any improvements have been implemented. For now though 0/10 completely broken don’t waste your time

This was fun

I’m not used to writing a review and I’ve never been able to play dnd before so I may not understand some things, but this was really fun to do. The DM ai was detailed when describing something and some of the characters I encountered during my run were really flushed out. I would honestly like to see if there would be any further updates to this app since I’m entirely invested. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I would recommend this for others to try. ^v^

Its fun but can tell it’s early access

All in all its a lot of fun. That being said it definitely still has room to grow. As stated in a few other reviews the dm is a bit glitchy i did get in a back and forth with it when it tried to double charge me for an item i was buying for an npc but i just listed things out and it corrected itself so no real big deal there. I do wish that there were more classes to choose from but its great for starting and still a lot of fun. The main thing i have noticed between mine and my partners games with it is the more context and details you give it the more you get from it. Describing what you want to do and how you want to achieve that does so much more than just saying i attack blank. So have fun with it yes it has a few hiccups currently but i think it will get a lot better with some more polishing

Best AI adventure game I’ve tried!

The story this AI weaves with your inputs is amazing, I broke out of a prison cell and one shot a guard with my axe, that scared the other guard so bad he ran away, I stole the cell keys ran through the dungeon and stumbled upon an NPC that felt incredibly fleshed out, with background that remains consistent as the story progressed and actually felt like we had real connection and conversations. The story the AI DM makes flows smoothly and doesn’t feel awkward and it remembers past story elements with little to no prompting on your part. Other games of this type I’ve tried feel awkward and the story loses focus easily and small things like weapons or atmosphere would change suddenly with no explanation. So far this game is an amazing experience and I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try!
