I like to report ICE whenever I need to go somewhere that I’d like the crowds to be less. I’ve cleared out hardware stores and restaurants. I Love it!

Please encourage (or require) users to leave details. And, to inform us if the sighting has been confirmed by local rights groups. Without that info we don’t know what to look for or if the threat is credible. Without more info I don’t know if it’s just someone nervous reporting anything and everything they see or if it’s real.

Two ice raids within 5 miles of my home and I did not receive notification of either of them.

Further, because I live on the edge of the 5 mile limit (I’m in the suburbs, 5 miles from city center AND 5-10 miles from rural farms with migrants) if I move the map to locate possible ice raids, the map just scrolls and scrolls (fetching reported sightings) without actually telling me anything.

Please make this app better

Developer has knowingly included dangerous vulnerabilities and deliberately refuses to address any security reports. Users should be wary of an ulterior motive behind this app. This level of insecurity doesn’t happen by ac ident.

This app is great don’t get me wrong, but the sightings showed up hours late again today. I usually check first thing in the morning around 7am. Today nothing showed up until 11am and the 4 sightings on the app were timestamped from 3-4 hours earlier. If the app doesn’t show sightings when they occur in real time, it’s really useless. Also I requested to have notifications show up on my home screen, nothing.

The app no longer gives me reported sightings. Is it being blocked by authorities? I live in a large city where I know there is quite a lot of ICE activity.

Initially I was getting reports and could see them on the app. Now, sometimes they flash at the top of my screen but when I click on the app to look, nothing is there. Tried deleting and re-downloading to no avail. I’d really like it to work😿

ICE has been using this app to post false raids weeks ahead of the real raids, to fool people into ignoring the alerts.

The purpose of this app is to aid criminals and warn them about law-enforcement looking for them.

I don’t know if the administration got to the developer and threatened him or what, but this app definitely is no longer functioning as it’s intended to. But the fact that it looks like everything is working is a false sense of calming that is not real. There was ICE activity in South Bay all weekend long and absolutely nothing appeared not in the app even a single reported sighting I find that very hard to believe. I don’t want to test it by making a false reported sighting (that would be wrong of me to do, just for the purpose of proving whether the app is working correctly) but I’m pretty sure if I did, nobody else would see it anyway because the app clearly is no longer functional.

How about creating an app to help robbers steal from jewelry stores that have poor security, called Easy Pickin’s? Is facilitating one crime worse than another?

I like the idea behind this so people can be aware where ICE agents have been spotted, but the app itself is buggy and crashes often when I try to zoom out outside by location to check areas around me. Also surprised there’s no option to look up a specific address instead of having to find it manually, and upload a photo of the ICE agents spotted for confirmation and reduce false reports. If these issues can be fixed will definitely improve my experience using this app. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

This is a terrible app that is being used to help criminal illegal aliens subvert our laws, national sovereignty, and LEOs.

I gave it 1 star because I use it to report ICE sightings when I’m going somewhere that I want to be less crowded. It’s been great in that capacity!

This app had many hits but suddenly nothing. I am in DC so this makes no sense. Did the feds find a way to squelch it?

Accidentally created reported sighting while examining map for first time. This mistake was *really easy*! No way to recall!

I live close to a major city and know for a fact we have had ICE agents in town, yet I haven’t seen a single report in over a week. This app is throwing red flags all over the place so I’m deleting it. Be wary.

I feel much safer with this downloaded as I frequent campuses a lot.

Useful when it works

Useless app. You can’t report new sightings. No report, no sightings around. It was working perfectly before. I am thinking of deleting this app but I will wait for few more days to see if there will be good update. 8.5.25☹️

I've been using this app for a while but there's no way to turn on notifications that I can find. The one time there was a sighting in the neighborhood, it was over an hour ago and apparently ICE raids/kidnappings happen in about 10 minutes. Please update this, I really want to help my neighbors.

I don’t recommend any undocumented person downloading this app. The second you downloaded it has your email address. It has all of your Apple information. Also, it requires you turn on your location, and it requires you to have it always on. Just seems very suspect to me. I am a born American citizen, so I’m not worried about ICE, my parents are Americans and my grandparents are Americans but I would side on the side of caution, if you are an immigrant, or undocumented. I deleted the app, but my information is still stored in the cloud.

This app is great because it lets me keep an eye on my neighbourhood no matter what. I don't care where they came from or what they believe in; they are just like us. The world we live in now is scary. We will fight for our civil and political rights. I born in America‘s jus soli. I never thought I would see a return to the dark times of history.

The concept of crowd sourcing information like this is great. A few suggestions and I’ll make my review 5 star. Allow us to delete old locations reported. When clicking on the red pin when in map view give us the date and time of the report. I’m finding multiple reports in my area after weeks of nothing. So either my area is completely under siege or there are fake locations being reported so being able to declutter the map of my area would be a great asset. Allow us to determine personally what reports are valid.

I like the information available on this app and usually check it before leaving home for any possible activity in my area. The reason for four stars is because I’ve not found a way to update/refresh it and often see alerts listed for 24 hours or more while I don’t see new notifications until hours after they were reported.

I’ll try this new update but so far I’ve not seen ANY reported sightings. And that included me panning across the country to LA in the middle of the mayhem. Was there nothing reported by anyone there? Seems weird…

Kinda clunky at the moment and the UI defaults are actually counter intuitive. My suggestion is make it more like a weather map & app or one of the many hiking apps I use. There are SO many enhancements that would make this fantastic. I’d be happy to chat offline either way with the devs.

A few immediate suggestions…

1: Default to the 5 mile (reportable) radius. 1/2 mile is far too little.

2: Default to an unlocked map. Just like Google/Apple etc. maps it centers on current location but pan/zoom is immediately available.

As the app is new I’m assuming there are very very few users and is the reason why when I zoomed out to the entire country there were NO reported sightings. Disappointing as I’m sure ICE is crawling around everywhere though this isn’t the apps fault.

I am on an iPhone 13 mini and can only see five reported sightings at a time even though there are more. I can’t scroll down to see the rest. Thank you to the developers for doing your part in helping keep minorities safe.

I’m glad this tool is available, especially with where I’m located. I have noticed there isn’t an ability to scroll to see if there are more reports than what’s being shown. Is this something that can be resolved? Thank you!

We should be able to write something when we report a sighting, and also be able to attatch a photo. At the very least, being able to provide details for the sighting is SO important.

I also don’t like how if you zoom out of the map, you can’t see any of the reported sightings… you can only see them if you’re way zoomed in — and even then, they change the sighting list on you when you check a new one. Idk. It’s weird and hard to explain.

I use this to not only submit reports but to see other active ones and the so fulfilled its purpose!

The suggestion I have is that I keep trying to double-tap-and-hold to zoom In and out like Apple’s native map app, but it registers taps immediately to make a report and doesn’t recognize the second tap as a part of a zoom function. I’d like to see the double-tap-and-hold zooming feature added as it’s a personal preference for me, but I understand it’s also an accessibility feature for those with limited digits on their hands or dexterity struggles and would improve UX design for people within these demographics wanting/needing to use the app.

Bonus points if the app would show reports with a user-set radius automatically without having to zoom out to see existing reports!

I read the app was modeled after Waze but unlike Waze, it doesn't have a feature where other users can update reported sightings to account for those posted in error (whether intentional or accidental) or once the activity is no longer there. Waze allows that for its police notifications (and all of its other warnings users can post), giving other users MUCH more confidence the warnings are both accurate AND current.

I noticed that someone is using this app as an attempt to report undocumented immigrants, which is the exact opposite of what we want. Not only is that obviously against the nature of the entire app but it creates bloat and noise that prevents people from getting the news they need about this topic. I recommend implementing a report function on posts that enables the devs to analyze a post and see if it is being used in this malicious manner ASAP. This is crucial for the integrity of the app, and it is imperative that we boot people off the app that seek to hurt migrants of any kind. PLEASE update as soon as possible and remove said users

I love the concept and purpose of this app, but I'm having a few issues. One, I am not getting any notifications. And yes I have notifications turned on in my settings. Second, my list of sightings only shows four locations, and the list is locked so I cannot scroll down for more. An option for including photos would be good. Also, how can you tell if the sighting is fake?

At times it can feel hopeless, like there isn’t much we can do to protect our immigrant friends and the liberties that our ancestors fought for. This is something we can do to help keep this country from falling into full flung fascism under the current authoritarian administration.

It asks for your location permission, then tells you to put in the location your reporting. Then tells me it’s out of my reporting area. Basically that I’m too far away from where I’m reporting. I put in my address. And I’m too far away. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not really reporting anything. I just wanted to see what the app does. I wasn’t reporting a location, just trying to look at my location. What the app doesn’t understand is my phone’s gps shows me in Asheville or charlotte nc. I live 6 hours way from charlotte nc and 3 hours away from Asheville nc. I live in South Carolina.

My phone just alerted me to the fact that this app tracked my location in the background twice over the past couple hours and with trump threatening to have users arrested I got sketched out and uninstalled it. If this feature is part of a warning function to make sure I’m not near a recent sighting then that makes sense I guess. I just consider my location at any given moment to fall under the umbrella of private data so if I over reacted let me know cuz I’d love to help. I just need to know I’m safe doing so.

The app is useful, but it could use a few tweaks. The radius is fixed - it would be helpful if the radius could be adjusted. Also, the app is a battery hog. I realized that ever since installing it, my battery wouldn’t last all day like before. I decided to take a look at what apps had been consuming most of my battery life and found this app using up 46% of my battery. This is probably due to setting location services to Always Allow (but face it - the app isn’t very useful at alerting you if it isn’t always using your location in the background). In the end, I ended up deleting the app so I could get some battery life back. If the developers address this issue, I’d gladly reinstall it.

I think this is a great app and it functions super well for it’s purpose. It is completely anonymous as well. I think that it could be worked on a little bit like sometimes when I zoom out to see bigger or other areas, the reported ice areas dont pop up or load. other than that it is great! :)

This app is pretty good and accurate about where the sightings have taken place. Basically see something say something. It does not interfere with ICE agents or any equivalent. Makes it no different than reporting a speed trap. Stay informed, together we are stronger, be smart, assert your rights, continue the fight. We are together in this. Shalom! ✡️

Good app that just needs work, which am sure will be done as its popularity grows. In these times, when the majority of arrests being made are those with no criminal history or that happened decades ago, it’s good to keep one another informed. The policy now is arrest, ask questions later, and may take months to finally realize you should not have been detained in the first place

Very helpful to notify any sightings! Although I recommend attempting to make it similar to google/apple maps where you can directly see on the app’s map where the sighting is located. I do appreciate at the bottom where it shares the exact location it would just be more helpful if it could pinpoint on the map where that location is and how close you are to it. This is a great app for safety information. Unfortunately maga is now posting false information on there and making racist comments in the comment section. I wish there was a way to make the fake location notifications delete (or vanish from view) for the user once they have been viewed. Last night there were like 4 fake ones with bad notes in them. This clutters up the list and makes it easy to miss the real notifications. There is already a fake one in there today also.

I know if I see anything I will definitely load this in this app. I’m not afraid of being tracked with this app because I don’t think it’s a trap and I am an American citizen so I don’t have to worry. But I can help my fellow humans if I know ICE is around I can warn them

The current version of the ICEblock app (1.2) is not very functional - when you move around the map and find a sighting reported as indicated by a red pin drop, you cannot actually click on them to see that specific report to find out what day/time or specifics if any. Instead, the app treats it like you are trying to create a new sighting report.

Also, below the map are a list of nearby sightings but it is only 4 listings and you cannot scroll to see more reports.

App just needs more work in order to function properly.

I suppose all the people complaining about this app would also like the government to confiscate all the police scanners in the country as well… or perhaps they’re just mad that the rest of the country doesn’t like sweeping people into unmarked vans with no warrant the way they do.

The core idea is great although i hate to say the app is flawed. I know it’s still a new app but i can list some improvements here.

-Make the top and bottom bar smaller

-Less buttons, I’d say making one obvious button for ice reporting.

-Make it so when you zoom out you can see where ice raids have happened especially in cities. And where there are a lot make it like a bubble with a number in it that shows how many raids have happened in that area.

-Get rid of the reported sightings bar (ties in to the previous one) it should only pop up if one is in like a 25 mile radius of you.

-OPTIONAL but you could make a map of just the US because this isn’t an international problem and it keeps the app more tied down and uniform.

This patriotic app helps citizens and guests identify and avoid lawless bounty hunters and marauding kidnappers masquerading as law enforcement. It would be less necessary if ICE agents were consistently uniformed and badged, and completely unnecessary if congress would pass comprehensive immigration reform and asylum processing and fully fund Immigration and asylum courts so that everyone in America could receive the due process required by law and the constitution.

The privacy policy for this app was created on February 12, 2025 way before all this was happening. How did they know? Who are they reporting to? Why do they need our location on always if they are the one alerting people about ICE? This app is under Alluchart, inc. their website has been under development since 2023 but they claimed they made this app in days? Something is not right. Do not download this app.

I connected my phone to my local wifi and then watched the logs of my network as I used ICEBlock, zero personal data was sent out by my phone. The app does what it says it does as relates to not collecting any private information from your device.

This app is dangerous! It uses your location constantly and at first it makes you believe that you have no alerts because you didn’t agree to let them always use your precise location, but when you do no alerts pop up, ever, which is impossible because ICE is all over the place where I am. Another red flag is that it stated that this app was made in the beginning of March (before the ICE raids were this bad) but they state that their terms and conditions were made in April. There are videos about all the red flags on tik tok and I highly suggest you look at those before downloading this app.

Much needed app thanks for making it. I would like to see reports from all over the country too not just my area. Also when I get push notifications and go to the app I can’t see them on the app. Pls check into it thanks.

Amidst the chaos of today, I think this keeps everyone safe. Not just immigrants, as american born citizens are also facing the violence of ICE and the their hazardous ways of "enforcing" legal immigration.

Many US citizens, especially those of enthic minorities or those who appear to be hispanic, are at risk of becoming victims of ICE's violence. I think that the 'damage' illegal immigration had done to the USA is little to nothing compared to what ICE is doing right now.

Hopefully, this app will help keep people safe from ICE, especially with these new bills the orange man is passing, funding ICE to do even more damage and taking away valuable money that could go to the people instead of harming foreigners who may not have the means to get citizenship due to how difficult it can be.

All in all, thank you for creating this app! I'll be supporting you!

A helpful tool for doing our part to keep an eye out for our neighbors. Basically the same idea as reporting police speed checks in a navigation app like Waze. The download is very small, so downloading over cell is quick and it doesn’t take up much room.

Definitely glad to see this app helping people out, only problem is that the app requires your location to be tracked. I feel the app would work better, as another recommended, by only having our location tracked when sending in a report.

ICE agents are straight-up kidnapping people — not just undocumented immigrants, but American citizens, grandmothers, kids. These aren’t the “bad hombres” Trump ranted about. They’re just people trying to live their lives.

This app lets you report ICE activity and shine a light on what they’re doing. Use it. Document everything. Remind these agents that uniforms don’t give them a free pass to disappear people. History doesn’t look kindly on those who say “I was just following orders.”

If the Sons of Liberty were around today, they’d be using this app too.

This app has a lot of potential and could be a really helpful tool for the community. I’ve noticed that there aren’t many reports on the map yet, probably because it’s still new. Unfortunately, I think some of the low ratings might be based on bias rather than actual experience with the app. I hope more people start using it for the purpose it was made for 🇺🇸🇲🇽☮️✝️

First of all, to every self-proclaimed law professor on here claiming that simply reporting the presence of law enforcement is somehow “obstruction,” this is me flashing my headlights at you to let you know about the idiot trap you’re headed towards.

With that out of the way, the app itself is far from perfect and needs a lot of updates (namely the ability to simply scan an area without allowing personal location tracking) but it’s a start…someone trying to do the right thing is never a bad thing.

ICEBlock is a very interesting app, I have it, and there hasn’t been sightings for me yet in my area, but I do find the app to need more users in order to have more quick and accurate information. The ICEBlock app is pretty useful outside of politics as info, not to harass. 4 stars due to it being useful but not fully complete software wise cause I would like the sightings to be within a larger radius, or statewide, or countrywide as options for users. Also 4 stars due to that it needs more users

This is a great app idea. Seems like it has a few bugs that could be fixed. One thing I’d like to see is a larger radius of reporting. Half a mile I don’t feel is enough. I need to see further because if I’m going to go somewhere with a person who is undocumented, I want to know if that store or restaurant has ice activity nearby.

I’m responding right now to another person who said this app was unpatriotic. This is actually the opposite. This app is very patriotic. Immigrants belong here. Our system is broken so that people who come into this country cannot be citizens or get permanent visas due to the 10 year wait to even get a court appearance regarding immigration status. Those are the people that come here legally. Most immigrants that come into this country are good, hard-working people. Human immigrants are being treated like animals or like violent murderers. They are not. There are not a lot of murderers and rapist who are immigrants in this country. It was a Donald Trump lie. This is a fascist society We’re living in now. We need every tool we can get to help prevent that fascism from playing out. Trump wants to start deporting citizens that are criminals. Just saying their criminals doesn’t make it so. You are next.

Real quick, some feedback I hope can make it even better: I thought map was broken at first. Have to tap the lock icon to unlock it.

The button icons for ‘away from home’ and ‘locked map’ were not obvious, though useful if I knew what they were.

Perhaps they could be buttons with words on it and put them under the map? Or a help display at when launched?

Also, suggest that it say “Reported sightings: None within 5 miles of your location” and that you can’t report something outside that radius. I thought that the app but was broken till I found that in the small type (since few people read instructions). Maybe a 5-mile radius circle on the map would also be helpful? Anyway, very clever way to reduce abuse of the app.

The app collects no personally identifiable data (PID), no device ID, requires no account, no password. Anonymous reporting. You can enter location by typing an address, or tapping map. That’s all it does.

(One dubious review, by ‘Nick R., suggesting the app can be used to trace you—and implies you are “obstructing justice”—is false. I wonder who Nick works for??)

Glad this app exists, disappointed in those around me that made so that it was necessary.

For those concerned about this being used to locate you if you report the location of ICE, that data isn’t shared with law enforcement without a warrant (which almost never happens). As someone who works in cybersecurity, ICE will not have access to this data. The legal requirements to get around data protections like this are robust. You can report without fear of reprisal. The comments saying so are simply people trying to scare people away from reporting the location of masked ICE agents.

Have already used this multiple times and will continue to keep this at the ready for the next several years until circumstances improve. Let the MAGA losers seethe.

Also, always remember the magic words of “get a warrant” and “I’ll only speak to a lawyer”.

App is good, but the location data piece does give me pause for security reasons.

The 5 mile reporting radius makes sense, but it does inhibit reporting alerts that are sent out by other organizations. 805Undocufund sends out notifications for verified ICE activity in the county, but trying to add these to ICE Block is not possible because of the reporting restrictions.

It could be worth pursuing different radius requirements for verified organizations, or possibly integrating with these other systems that are already tracking ICE.

This app might be very simple at this stage, but its importance in these times cannot be overstated. It serves as a vital tool for keeping people safe, providing a sense of security during through uncertainty, and fostering a sense of community—reminding us that we are not alone and we can keep each other safe through small actions. I truly appreciate the effort put into creating a space that offers support and encourages action when we need it most 🙏🏽

I don’t like that the map is “locked” by default. There is no reason to lock the map. The map needs to show the 5 mile buffer around your location. Otherwise it’s hard to know how far away reports are being supplied to you where you are at.

For areas outside of the 5 mile buffer, cluster summaries should be displayed around the country.

Also, to weaken false reports, you’ve got to add a crowd sourced ranking system for people who are near the reported location. Dev: You’ve got to make sure individuals aren’t going around generating hundreds of fake reports, and if they try, slow them down by shadow banning their reports: They’ll think their fake reports are getting submitted, but they are not.
