Description

EverythingWeather utilizes the NWS API to get current conditions and forecast data for anywhere within the United States and it's territories.
What can be found in the app:
- Current and forecast conditions with a customizable home page
- Current hazards in effect
- Current SPC and WPC outlooks
- Real time radar with map overlays (Outlook data for severe weather, fire weather, excessive rainfall, etc.)
- NWS Products such as Area Forecast Discussion, Climate Reports, Local Storm Reports, etc.
- Save Favorite locations
- View detailed weekly outlook data (more coming soon!)
- Sun and Moon data

What's New in Version 1.0.5

- SPC/WPC discussions now appear on home page when an outlook alert is tapped.
- Hourly data now matches the proper hour regardless of the timezone.
- Improved location handling.
- Last updated time added for forecast data.
- Addition of hazard loading indicator added to Favorites page.

Bets weather app

This app is one of the best apps for weather I have seen in a while, as a weather enthusiast, I have several weather apps, this one is simple yet elegant, there is no subscriptions and is completely free, it also pulls all data directly from the national weather service

Radar Frustrating

I wish I could open radar without the radar in motion, be nice if it would wait until I wish to see it in motion.

This is by far the best weather app on the iOS App Store.
Only 3 things could make it better:

A must have weather app!

About the only improvements I can think of are a Home Screen widget and Watch, Warning, Advisory notifications. Otherwise, this has quickly become my go to weather app for forecast info.

Is there a future radar coming? For the most part the app is ok, please provide a future radar say 4-6 hours ahead.

Becoming my fav weather app

truly awesome having an NWS companion app basically. i have been having some issues with load speed and it would be nice if there were a way to see ASOS/wx obs data for your location otherwise really loving the app!

The best!

My official meteorologist review is that everyone should have this app! Love all the features! The only thing I wish was I could get observations on the front screen (I can’t get them to pop up).

Very Nice!

I don’t usually write reviews but this app deserves one. This is an incredibly polished app pulling in data directly from the NWS. No ads and it’s free. Seriously, you should consider charging for this app if you are allowed to as a NWS met.

Great app still needs work

Great app, great data, great concept! I still have some issues like settings changing such as the temperature color bar, long load times, and trouble with my location (although this could be an NWS grid related “issue”). I hope they add widgets for lock and home screens and it will render all other forecast apps obsolete.

Download this weather app!!

This app is great!! The NWS is a great location for forecasts and other weather info, but the website isn’t really optimized for mobile, and it can be a little hard to find what you need if you don’t know where to look. This app takes it all and puts it into a more streamlined and digestible format, perfect for both meteorologists and the layperson!! Not to mention, it’s free and no ads, definitely a plus!

Slow response plus other issues

Experiencing long pauses and nonresponsiveness exploring the features of this app, worst was on the Search feature that unexpectedly kicked me out of the screen navigation back to Home.
Also observed that there is no indication of snow level in precipitation - only rain is shown. Also, in Detailed view, if checking in the afternoon and you want further details for the current day you only get details for the following day.

Best weather app you can get

As a storm chaser I forecast my own severe weather, but when I need daily forecasts I’ve always gone to NOAA’s website to get NWS forecasts. This app uses NWS forecast data, bundle into an easy to use app that is capable of showing you the forecasts for your area or any you choose to save. Now forecasts for myself and my family across the states are a finger press away seeing the highest quality forecasting data available.

Great for all audiences!

Probably the best weather app I’ve ever used! It has general information for your average person to weather geeks, students, and professionals, and you can adjust your dashboard as well as select what specific advisories or reports you’d like to see. Nothing is behind a paywall either! Looking forward to more updates and hopefully some widgets!

Love it, but needs widgets

Been using the app for a day, and I am super impressed! I’ve been looking for an app that sources from NWS for a long time, and this one does not disappoint. I’d love to see both Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets in a future update, but for now, this replaces the stock weather app!

Great app with some NWS resources but missing some key features (places) I need

App is great, organized, no complaints on that. Downloaded because I heard this is direct NWS data in an app which is amazing. The one thing missing is specific NWS/NOAA forecasts for ski areas. Examples Jay Peak, Mt Baker, etc. you get re-directed to forecasts that aren’t ski area details different from NWS/NOAA website.

Fantastic app written by an actual NWS meteorologist

This app was recommended to me because it’s written by a meteorologist who works at the National Weather Service (NWS). My background is also in meteorology, but not forecasting, so I’ve run the gamut in weather apps over the years: Accuweather, Weather Live, MyRadar, RadarScope, Dark Sky, and Carrot, to name a few.
EverythingWx takes the best parts of these apps and more. Besides all of the standard features - the daily/weekly forecast, radar map, etc. - the forecast discussion tab is a great inclusion for those in the biz. This app uses data straight from the NWS without using a private sector middleman, unlike the other apps out there, and doesn’t charge a subscription fee for it (again, unlike other apps).

Unparalleled access to specialized NWS products

This the app I’ve been waiting for! There are dozens and dozens of weather apps that display a forecast and radar. And many of them utilize NWS datastreams to present these products. What’s unique about this app is its ability to display NWS graphical decision support products (e.g., Graphicasts, Weather Stories, etc) that represent key messaging services of local WFOs.
In addition, this app provides unusually easy access to special WFO text products like LSRs, CLIs and PNSs that are traditionally challenging to access on conventional NWS websites.
This is a great app!

My daughter works for NWS and just told me about this new weather app. It is fantastic, one of the best weather apps I have used! I even deleted The Weather Channel app after reviewing this one. The data actually comes from NWS.
