Description

With over 7500 questions in 60 categories (and counting), Lightning Round! is the go-to app for trivia duels. Unlike most trivia games where you tap multiple choice buttons, in Lightning Round! you have to come up with the right answer and say it out loud.
The whole family can play, with categories ranging from animals to world history, Harry Potter to Taylor Swift.
Lightning Round! also features a Study mode, which allows you to create your own trivia. Think of it as vocal flashcards. It’s a great way to study for a test or memorize anything you want to learn.

The app comes with 25 free credits to play the game as desired. When the credits run out, a Game Pass is offered at $3.99/month or credits can be purchased individually. In Study mode, users can create 3 custom categories and 30 custom questions for free. With a $2.99/month Learning Pass users can create unlimited categories and questions.
An all-access pass is offered at $5.99/month which grants the user all benefits of both the Game Pass and the Learning Pass.

Blank questions, frustrating

When this app works, it’s a blast. But it rarely works—more than half the time, the questions never show up and we have to start over, but it will use one of the coins even if we couldn’t play. I’d pay money for this if it worked…otherwise extremely frustrating.

Game failed

We bought the perpetual pass but it’s turning out to be a big mistake. Games just shows a black screen and stops functioning. The initial demo worked flawlessly but as soon as we purchased the product it began to fail.

Updates Continue to Happen

Never loads!

Every time a category is getting ready to start up, the app glitches out back to my home screen . I’ve never been able to start or play.

UPDATE: Needs more questions/AI fixes

UPDATE: I downloaded the new update and the app doesn’t work at all!! Please fix this.
This app is great, it plays just like the Floor TV show!! the layout and format is awesome, but after I purchased the monthly subscription, the questions in each category just repeats the exact same 3-10 prompts over and over again, making the game unplayable. Please fix this! Almost every single category has this exact same problem.

It is very addicting

It’s now one of my favorite games. I just wish I didn’t have to pay for it after I lost all my coins, but I’m excited to try out the full version if I can ever get money.

Warning: Addictive!

Okay, sure…it’s educational and will test your knowledge base on a wide variety of trivial matters. But more than that it’s FUN. And if you have a competitive streak like I do you’ll enjoy the solo gameplay mode that lets you work on raising your high scores. This game is difficult to put down!

Educational, useful, & fun!

A great tool for homeschool fun! (For kids AND adults!) I love that you can make your own categories and cards. The different options for play are great too, whether we have a group, a pair, or a solo studier this game can do it. Love the preinstalled categories too!
