A whole scam!
The game becomes completely impossible to play for free. You will have to pay for coins and even those tools you get don’t do much to help you advance to the next level.
These games are getting beyond ridiculous with wanting money to play. I shouldn’t have to spend $30 just to beat a few levels. Definitely will be deleting. Don’t waste your time!

Impossible to progress!!
I downloaded this game as a way to get points on my Fetch app & MY GOD it’s nearly impossible to progress in it!! I’m only on level 73! And I got stuck on 72 months ago & stopped playing the game so I opened it up today and played and finally passed that and now I’m stuck on 73! I swear it’s just begging me to buy something & I refuse to! For one thing it’s VERY expensive!! In most games you progress through the first 50-100 levels fairly quickly as that’s when the games introduce different boosters & whatnot. But this game got really hard really fast!! If you can afford to buy boosters the hammer is a good one to have. It’s really the best one to help you beat a level! I wouldn’t even suggest downloading this game. Another thing that doesn’t matter but bugs me is the graphics. It looks like a game on an old flip phone!

AD DISHONESTY
I love this game, I really do. Right now it’s in my top 5. But sometimes you need to go through three ads before you get credit for one ad and if it’s a particularly obnoxious ad like Royal Match you’re looking at a minimum of six minutes of not being able to use your phone at ALL for ANYTHING. This is ridiculous. If you want people to watch three extremely long ads, just say so so we can at least make an informed decision.
Otherwise five stars. I love this game. I’m just freshly mad because of the Royal Match ads in a row I just sat through.

Pretty fun
The game is pretty fun. They do a good job of adding different elements to the game to keep it interesting the more you progress. Like most games similar in nature there is a row for you to put screws not being used, limited number of course, but what I don’t understand is that when you fill the last one, you lose. It’s there, you should be able to use it and if you can’t continue afterwards, then lose the level, but no if you fill up the spare slots, it’s game over.

It was fun while it lasted
I have to say I was obsessed with this game so much that I put up with all the ads to get extra 20 coins to build my pot so I could get boosters. I got up to level 180 and it’s totally impossible to even get by the first color block of screws because I can’t even locate it on the board and will NOT feel forced to buy boosters if I am not even sure if it’s there. Nice job guys but make the levels possible to beat at least. Oh and the daily spins that you have to watch an ad to get 2 a day, I usually land on 20 coins. What a waste of my time. If I can’t figure out this last level I’m done. Update: I can’t open the app now. It just goes closes as soon as I open it.

Nothing like the ads and changes after a while.
I’ve been playing this game for about a month or so and at first I really enjoyed it even though it’s nothing like the ads. I mainly play it in my spare time and I’ve gotten up to level 270. Unfortunately, once I reached like level 240 or so, the levels have become extremely difficult to beat! Some you cannot beat without the power ups. The power ups were 3 extra holes for 225, 3 hammers for I think it was 350 or so and 3 x2 colors so you can clear 2 colors at once for like 375 coins. Which isn’t terrible but when you can only get up to 30 coins per level you beat(you have to watch an ad to get it which I normally do because you have to watch an ad regardless after each level.), it’s difficult to beat some levels. And there are different levels with different difficulties but the amount of coins you recieve never changes even for the extremely hard levels. Then today I went to play it and when I went to get a power up because I finally had enough, or so I thought, the prices have changed! Now it’s 550 for the 3 extra holes, 1000 for 3 hammers, and 750 for 3 x2 but the amount of coins per level is still the same. You also get to spin the wheel but you have to watch ads to get 2 spins per day and the prizes that are for coins are low amounts. When I get a coin amount it’s usually only 20 coins. I’m debating whether or not to keep the app or just delete it and find a new/better game.

Ads and Prices
At first, the game is really fun. Tons of ads but fun enough to overlook it. But as you get to harder and more difficult levels, you start having to spend the coins you won to get add-ons like extra holes for the extra screws etc. Still not a big deal. Until you’re hundreds of levels in, and get stuck on the same level for literal weeks, and you’re out of coins because you spent them all on your last multiple failed attempts at that level. And then you go look at how much it costs to buy more coins and realize: $2 for 250 coins? And one set of extra holes, or an extra suitcase, or a hammer, is more than a hundred coins? $2 just to get through ONE difficult level? It’s not a lot of money in the long run, but it is a lot for the deal you’re getting. I’m deleting the game, not because it isn’t fun, but because tons of unskippable ads with no reward and the price of a little help in the game isn’t worth it. The game isn’t anything like the ad either, and although it’s fun, I’ve just been disappointed over and over by the game.

Great game, but with a few issues
First off, I absolutely love this game. I usually find myself gravitating towards it if I happen to be on my phone. With that being said though, there are a couple of issues that I keep experiencing.
1. Everytime the developers have you update the app, the level patterns change. There will be times where a level is hard for me to complete and once I run out of lives, I’ll take a break. Then, I’ll come back to the game, the app will have me update it, and then the pattern is completely different. It gets frustrating because I’ll try to find the solution to the new pattern online, yet no one else seems to have the same pattern as I do. I’ve come across multiple videos that each have the same level number, but each video has a completely different pattern to one another.
2. I’ve already gotten used to this issue but it might be confusing to new downloaders. The 5 extra holes that they give you, aren’t actually 5 extra holes. It’s only 4, which in the beginning made no sense to me. Why would you give me 5 extra holes if I can’t even use the fifth one most of the time?

Fun when able to progress
This is a really fun game with potential, but its failings hold it back. As stated in the previous review, they give you 5 screw place holders, but you can only use four. If you attempt to use the 5th, you fail. What’s the point of it being there, then? The ONLY time you can use the 5th place holder is when removing two screws attached by a string, if one of the screws is going into the current colour-block you’re filling. Still, what’s the point of even having a 5th holder that can only be used occasionally? The other problem is, unless you’re willing to spend money or you’re able to save a lot…and I mean A LOT…of coins, there are levels you can’t pass without using coins to buy extra place holders, hammers, etc. And without actually progressing, the only way you can get extra coins without spending money are the two “lucky spins” you get every 24 hours. Those spins give you extra coins or “tools,” depending on what you land on. I’ll usually get 20-50 coins with my first spin (you need a minimum of 250 coins to buy a tool), and then extended “life” on the second. If I don’t have enough coins to buy *A* tool, or I can buy *A* tool but it’s still not enough to pass a level, there are times when I can’t play the game for 3-4 days…not until I can accumulate more coins with my daily (2) spins. Most other games I play allow you to watch a video for extra coins. That would come in really handy with this game! I prefer games I can play everyday with at least a chance of progressing, but if you have no coins and no tools, and you’re on a level that you can’t pass without extra tools, it can be days before it’s even worth your time.

Enjoyable at first.
The game is great at first, after awhile it will start to cheat you. There are only a certain amount of life’s you have to play each game and you can get certain “power ups” such as an extra hole or taking a glass away, the game will make you use all the holes (meaning, I assume if you make the wrong moves eventually you won’t be able to play anything without losing the round) and eventually all your life’s which isn’t necessary. There will be times when the glass is supposed to fall and it doesn’t, even though nothing will be on top of it or near it. Definitely fun at first but it gets irritating when it takes all my power ups and life’s for one round and I can’t play any longer without paying for more life’s 🙄

Good until you're stuck
This is the only puzzle game I've played where it feels like there's no way out of a level you're struggling with. There's no easy methods of earning coins to get boosts so once you're stuck and have no coins to buy more then it's essentially game over. The challenges to complete levels before other players do also becomes pointless when you're struggling to get through repeatedly difficult levels, I'm also not sure if you are competing with peers in the same level bracket or random people that could be on the much easier early levels. The game was fun for the first few days but level 230 seems to be my end point.

False advertisement
Alright I'm enjoying the game. It’s played as adverised, HOWEVER, on the ad I saw to convince me to download, I was told there'd be no ads. Now that I'm well into the game at level 128, I'm now getting pop up ads in between each level.
I don't mind watching an ad for an incentive like an extra life, but if you tell me I'm not going to get ads, and for 100+ levels I don't have any pop up, and then randomly they start popping up, it’s super misleading and kind of turns me off the game. I'm a person who will pay to get rid of ads, but your ad told me there'd be no ads, so I feel like I shouldn't have to pay to not see any on an app that says it doesn't show them.

Fun but P2W
I downloaded this game because it seemed fun and it is! Except I’m currently stuck and have been for over a week. This is where it becomes a pay-to-win game. I keep failing this one level. I get very close to the end but then have no options of moving forward EXCEPT purchasing helpers. My issue is that there doesn’t seem to be any alternative way to earn coins. So unless I purchase more coins, I will continue to be stuck on this level.
I enjoy the challenge but I don’t enjoy playing games where I keep failing over and over, there are no unpaid alternatives, and there is no way to undo a choice. If I can’t pass this level in the next week, I’ll be deleting it. It doesn’t do me any good if all it does is frustrate me continuously. I have enough of that in my regular life.

Fun Game Ruined By In App Sales
This is a really fun and addicting but the in app sales really ruin the game. Every time you open it you get offered an Italy Deal, a something else deal, and then another deal that kind of looks like a game but is something else you need to pay for. This is especially frustrating if you have kids and want to make sure they’re not accidentally spending money on useless stuff. Even if you buy the game to avoid ads all this junk still comes up. I know you’re trying to make money, but there should have to be a way to turn this off. I will never spend eight dollars for level ups in an easy puzzle game, what a waste of money. I wish Apple would implement something like a in app purchase kill switch for kids and just general annoyance.

Great if you got cash-filled pockets
This game is fun and I would keep playing, but it appears if you can’t clear a level and don’t have enough coins to buy some helps, the only way to move on is to buy more coins, etc. No option to earn them any other way; like a side challenge or watching an ad. Tried at least two dozen times to clear a level and it’s just not doable without extra help options, but not enough coins to buy them. And I refuse to be forced to keep paying for the game.
This game is cash-driven and money motivated—as evidenced by needing to clear 3-4 sales screens every time you open the app—even before getting in to play. Great games have secondary options to earn coins or additional chances to get through a tough level—even watching an ad to do so. But not this game. It’s buy or give up.
So, I’m giving up and deleting the game—even though I already paid for the no-ad option. Rip off. Popular game concept, so I’ve already found 4 other screw-type games. Won’t miss this one.

Fun for a month
I paid to have the game be ad free, but if you want to make any kind of gold revenue you have to watch the ads. It is a pay (real money) to win game, but you don’t “win”anything, just go to the next level. Hard levels payout the same gold as regular levels. Once you get to a certain point the puzzles repeat themselves. Once you get to a high level it becomes impossible to beat a hard level without paying real money to have extras (extra holes, toolbox, or hammers) in order to beat the level. Some hard levels will require all three to beat it especially if you want to maintain certain streaks. Other side competitions in the game don’t payoff as it often requires extra purchases so you can win against others, which is then of course costing you more than the prize package. My cities stopped being able to build. It froze on Canada for weeks, finally unlocked only to be able to build 2 new cities, then locked again. All in all it’s fun for about a month of play. Customer service is unreachable to resolve the cities issue. Someone else mentioned about the extra hole not being usable and I too find that frustrating.

Hard to tell apart some colors
The game is fun and challenging but some colors are really difficult to tell apart from each other. The yellow and orange both look like a light orange to me. I end up losing levels because I accidentally selected the orange screws instead of yellow ones. I think the last screw causing you to instantly lose and have to restart the level is kind of silly, they should just allow us to undo the last screw for free and carry on the level from there. Sometimes I make an honest mistake in picking a screw, sometimes because I can't tell apart the yellow from orange screws. If they made these colors more distinguishable and fixed the "last screw" mechanic from restarting the entire level then I would rate 5 stars.

Devs, please read this one.
My two main issues are 1) the hole debacle and 2) color saturation.
1) Obviously, it is an issue that the game displays 5 holes for saving screws when you can only use 4. I see the devs replying to reviews up and down this page saying that this is a “strategic feature.” I don’t buy it. If you only want us to be able to store 4 screws, it is no less strategic to have 4 useable holes than it is to have 5 holes, only 4 of which can be used. There is no strategy added by including an unusable hole. It does not make the game harder, it does not factor into the strategy of anyone who has been playing for more than 5 minutes, and it will annoy new players who may not want to return to the game. It is stupid, and the justification for it doesn’t make sense. Everyone playing knows you have 4 useable holes. There is literally no reason to have a fifth hole. It is aesthetically atrocious in an otherwise very visually appealing game, and, again, strategically unnecessary. If you fill up the holes, and then attempt to save an additional screw, the game should end.
2) I think the colors should be a bit more different. The yellow is a little too orange-y and the orange is a little too yellow-y. The purples are also a bit too similar. This becomes an issue when the screws are positioned under the colored glass. Obviously being able to tell what color screw us under a different color of glass is part of the challenge of the game, but it’s very hard to differentiate between the different shades of the screws when the glass color
makes some of the colors identical. This is an accessibility issue, rather than a gameplay issue.

Fix the bug with the ads
I used to like this game but there are definite bugs that are about to make me delete it. I do not have the paid version. As you progress, you get to a point where you need the extra cases or the assistance to continue. So I click to watch the ad. Over a minute later and a half later, I’m able to close the ad yet I’m still in the pop up screen telling me to watch the ad to get the reward! Seriously? I just did! Even if I paid for ad free, it doesn’t include the extra cases or any freebies! You have to continuously purchase those! Sometimes I’ll watch two ads in a row and still have the same issue! The Royal Match ad seems to be the one with the consistent issue. I can’t just exit and reopen the app or it will completely restart my puzzle. Please fix this or I’m going to delete the app.

Great but…
So I paid for this to be ad free. Can be fun. But at the same time it’s a bit frustrating. Your last hole to place the screw is not your last free spot. Even if I can make a move once I fill in the last space, it already tells me that I’ve lost when I could have gone to the next toolbox. I find this extremely frustrating which in turn makes me not want to play. I mean if I ever had this game in front of me and not on a phone app, the very last empty space would be used for another pet/screw but that’s not what this app does. Anyway, please fix it. It works sometimes, like maybe 30 percent of the time, but the other 70 percent it says you lose when you shouldn’t.
Also, for some reason today I keep getting ads even though I paid for the ad free version! I keep clicking the restore purchase and it’s not working. 😡 Refund please!

Lives System Needs Work
Game is fun, easy to understand, and simple enough. Ideally though, this game wouldn’t have lives at all. But since it does, the least it can do is give us a proper chance each life. The second your spaces are full, it’s game over. So you can’t actually use all the spaces provided. The way the game should work- is if after you filled the spaces, you can’t make any more moves. Not that the second a screw goes in the last space, it’s automatically game over. It just doesn’t make sense. I had a level where I could have beat it, if they just let me put the screw after the spaces were filled.

Fun game design ruined by money grubbing
Screw Jam is the absolutely perfect example of a genuinely fun game whose game design principles are cheapened significantly by monetization. The difficultly progression is completely & very transparently pushing you to buy, buy, buy— which I realize is not strange for mobile games and is common practice— but feels especially frustrating for THIS game since I do think they have a really strong concept on their hands that COULD be balanced to be less oafish about it.
There are weekly events that the player participates in by progressing levels without failing. All the levels, as far as I can tell, are absolutely possible to beat without perks/boost purchases, but beating many of them the first time is impossible. I’m in the mid 200s right now and solutions are cleverly hidden so you only are able to solve on your second, third, or even tenth try. It just feels cheap and unfair, not like a fun challenge, since you have limited lives and really can only give it 5 tries in a play session.
Im not going to knock the devs for doing something that is common practice in the mobile gaming sphere. But it is a huge bummer, since I think I’ve played many games that were fun like this and I HAPPILY spent money on it not because I was stuck and frustrated but because I was having a ton of fun and just wanted to keep the ball rolling. There IS a balanced solve to this, and it would be incredibly cool to see the devs strive for it, either with Screw Jam specifically or in a follow up game. Like I said, I’ve gladly spent money on games I enjoyed as much as I enjoy the core elements of Screw Jam, but I’m completely turned off by the heavy handed way its monetization is integrated.

I’m only at the beginning of the game…
…but I’m seeing some major issues that will likely keep me from continuing to play it. One is the dreaded last screw hole that automatically makes you fail a level that you probably didn’t need to fail. It’s pointless to add that last screw hole if it’s not going to be usable. You should only fail a level if all of your screw holes are full and you try to add another.
The other is the option to gain 10 coins and proceed after a level OR watch an ad to get more coins or bonus stuff. The first day I played the game, it worked as it was shown. Not once did I have to watch an ad to just collect the 10 coins. When I played it today, I got an ad after every single level even when I was selecting the 10 coin no-ad version. Annoying and unnecessary.
I understand that developers have to make money somehow, but making everything so expensive and so ad-heavy that it’s unusable is not the way to gain long term customers. If I like a game, I’ll be loyal to it for YEARS. I will spend real money. But there has to be a good give and take, which this game doesn’t have. I also have no desire to do timed levels, so it’s probably good I’m bowing out now before I reach those.

Can’t use all the screw holes before I fail
I am having the same issues as some of the others.
While I enjoy this game, there are several issues:
1. It forces me to fail even if I have a screw hole open which often times I can beat the level or at least empty more screws from the “save bar” right after I fill it.
2. The rate of return for the coins for finishing each game vs what is costs to get the “power ups” is heinous. I get it. You make money off of pushing people towards making purchases on the app. However, you’ll lose money in customer base if you make it practically unattainable to advance without having to spend money…
3. Sometimes if I am trying to click to the next screen to make it go a little faster, it will count that as a move… maybe that can be solved with me being more patient.
Overall, the game is fun and I actually use it to help my brain power down to go to sleep. But the fact that I can’t beat the next level because it keeps kicking me out unfairly has made me delete the game altogether. At the very least, make the cost of the power ups more proportionate to the winning of the game. At least then I would be more tempted to spend my money if I needed just a little bit more coins or one power up to finish a level.

Boost prices
I love the game I play it just about everyday, BUT the thing that makes me want to delete it every time is the fact that the boost items that are at the bottom of the screen when you’re trying to beat a level are soooo expensive!! I spin that ad wheel that gives you prizes and I get such a small amount of money that I can do nothing with! It’s 225 for extra holes I don’t know to me that just seems like a lot especially when you have to get those boost for all hard levels!! Currently on 172 and I can’t get past it because I either need extra holes or there’s a panel blocking the color I need. If they could be cheaper that would be so helpful

They want you to pay to play
They make the levels impossible and frustrating to the point where you feel like you have to pay to finish the level. And then the next level is just as impossible. Pretty much forcing you to pay to even be able to get to the next level. It is a scam. And I have reached out to their customer service and I did not receive any refund or viable assistance. Their ads are totally deceiving with regard to the difficulty of the game. Again, this is a scam to frustrate you and take your money.
Time runs out on lives when you’re in the middle of a level, when not a timed level
When you “win” x time of “free” lives, if you’re in the middle of a level, and the free life time runs out, it kicks you out of the level
When you are playing with x amount of free lives, the time to earn extra lives isn’t running in the background so you can earn lives while playing
When level is not a hard level, it takes too many tries to figure it out and (see above) earning extra lives takes too long or is impractical

Soooooo Expensive
I like the concept of this game, and gameplay is fun. But. Just to begin with, the cost of the ad free game is $7.99. For that price, you still only have 5 lives with one life gained every 30 minutes. You can sometimes get unlimited lives, but doesn’t seem to be particularly often (especially on the free version). And if you do want to pay for extras, it becomes EVEN MORE RIDICULOUS, for example, paying $9.99 for 1 hour of free lives and 1,500 coins (btw if you want to play on after losing you pay 250 coins)…. So. Pretty good game. But prices are so insanely inflated, especially compared to super established games like Candy Crush, which are still costly but not anywhere near as on its face money grabby. Almost unconscionable. Just by a regular video game for $40 at that point.

Very addictive - proceed with caution
Love the game but it is extremely addictive. The cost of the tools is quite absurd compared to the coins you earn for beating each level. I very much dislike that you fail when your holes are full. The last hole is basically useless and only there to trick you into failing. The setup of this game is quite obviously intended to reel you in so you’ll spend money. That is the nature of in-app purchases, I get it. However, this is a little more insidious than your typically app. If the rewards were a bit higher, it would be worth it to continue playing. I don’t mind spending $1-10 every now and again, but I feel like this game sets you up to fail so you’ll spend more money. As much as I enjoy playing the game, I’m going to delete it for the sake of my bank account. Be careful if you decide to play this game.

Screw jam
I absolutely love this game, I play it every single day and am on level 360. I only started a month ago, this game is very addictive. I have no problems with the actual gameplay, or timed levels. I beat those pretty quickly, and enjoy the challenge! My problem arises with this bug I’ve been experiencing so far. I am no longer allowed to access my screws to build the places around the world. And when the “ladder” pops up on my phone, it only shows me the top of the screen without the ladder. I’m not able to scroll up or down, nor even press the “x” button to leave that screen. It forces me to exit out of the app completely, and even then. The screen will still pop up and I’m not able to leave it. I’ve been having this problem now for two days and I am worried about deleting the app and losing my purchases/levels. Am I able to do anything to fix this?

The newest update
I love this game, I’ve been playing for the last month and am on level 423. I find the levels to be challenging as I keep going and love the tools to help.
But the prize for the tools is not fair. I get 10 coins when I complete a level or 30 if I want to watch a video. So saving up takes a while but if I want to buy some holes or a tools box I have to spend 225 or 285! Thats insane. not to mention I don’t wanna spend money on this game.
And the newest update has made it impossible to play! If I am on Wi-Fi when I get on the app, nothing loads! One of the side games will pop up and I cannot get out of it, I have to close the app and turn off WiFi! Not to mention, I can’t even build the city when I do complete level if I have managed to get to the level. This newest update or the last two updates have messed with the game, and I haven’t even completed more than three levels and that’s been over the last week!!

Never ending ads
It seems nearly impossible to beat some levels without using coins or boosters. After each level, there’s an option to earn more coins by watching an ad, but the solitaire cash ad just keeps going and going and going until the screen goes black and you have to exit the app and restart without the reward of the coins from watching the obnoxious ad. I spend more time watching ads than I do playing the actual game. With the 5 lives, by time you figure out the proper combination, you’re out of lives and have to wait hours to try again. It’s a never ending cycle and there’s no hint option for the missing colored screw. Adding onto that, when the screws are not directly visible, it’s difficult to define what color is underneath. This game is more irritating than it is fun.

Ads became too much to bear
I knew when I downloaded the app that ads would be a thing. I accept that fact. But when you get to the end of a level and the game gives you the option to watch an extra ad for bonus rewards and you decline, it should not proceed to PLAY AN AD ANYWAY and then give you nothing in return! Either give me the choice or don’t, but don’t ignore me and cheat me out of bonuses in the same beat.
That aside, my color vision is excellent but some of the boxes are colored in a way I would constantly mix the similar-hued blues and same for the purples. I know the game is designed to be tricky but that’s poor design choices. Recolor the boxes or adjust the purples and blues to be more distinct.

I like it, but…
I really like the concept of this game and can get totally lost in playing. My only problem is that as you get to higher levels, some of them just get to be impossible to beat without using coins or power ups. I get that a game should get harder as you level up, but it feels like I’ve gotten to a point where I can’t beat most levels, even after several tries. I ended up downloading a different, similar game and have been playing that one instead. I’ll keep this one for now, but it will probably get deleted at some point if I’m not playing it regularly

Good game but
I really enjoy playing this game. I have a lot of fun trying to pass the levels without using any coins or any of the perks. I don’t normally even write a review for anything but this one thing bothered me so much that I will delete the game and never play it again. As you reach higher levels, the game will add challenges to make the levels harder. I made to a point where you need to unscrew all screws within a certain time. In this level, level 125, I had to finish within 2 minutes. I was doing well and close to finishing until at the 18 second mark, it told me I had failed and to either lose a heart or keep going using coins. I only had 4 more boxes to fill, so it wasn’t like there was much left to do. I used my coins to see how many seconds it would have taken me and I was left with 4 seconds to spare. I could have very well finished without needing to use my coins or having to give up a life. I’m extremely upset because I always watch an ad to get 30 coins after each round, so I had more than enough coins but I found it so ridiculous with 18 seconds left why did I need to even use my coins? So thank you for the cool game, it was great for the time being but I’ll go play another version now.

Timed Mode is frustrating.
I was relaxing a ton before timed mode was introduced. I’m now stuck on a hard level with timed mode that feels impossible without the bonus tools & spending coins.
I also agree that some colors are difficult to tell apart ESPECIALLY while rushing through a timed level, & the different colored glass plus having frozen screws has made it hard to tell which screw is actually what color.
I was really excited to try this game & happy to play until timed mode became a thing in particular, because at least I could figure out where I went wrong from taking it slow & easy.

Love the game but “pricey” bonuses
I reslly enjoy this game except a few things. You really have 1 less “hole” than shown because as soon as you fill the last hole it fails you and you have to pay 250 coins to continue. Sometimes you just need that 5th one to access the screw you need and you’d be fine to keep going but you’re forced to pay that 250 for another hole. It should fail the level when theres absolutely no more moves you can make.
Also compared to other games, the bonuses like the hammer, briefcases, etc cost far more coins vs what you earn each level.
This is just personal preference too but I don’t enjoy timed levels because i play mobile games to unwind and thats just another deadline i dont need in my life lol.

Not worth your time or money - shady game
This game is not the challenging puzzle game it advertises itself as. Only a handful of levels are actually difficult. The rest are a waste of time. It’s started forcing me to watch an ad after each level - which is annoying especially with how thoughtless most of the levels are. It also tries to trick you into watching an extra ad after each level by getting you to click a reward booster without saying it will activate an ad. And then lastly, it has a remove advertisement option that doesn’t list a price. If you click it - it will automatically try to charge you either $7-8. This game could’ve been something cool but you can tell it’s just another quick cash grab. Not worth your time or money.

Disappointing
Despite the one star, I like this game, but… It’s impossible to get past levels without power ups, that you accrue or buy with points earned from leveling up or with cash. I’ll admit to purchasing some power ups, because I like this game, but those days are over. Now I log in once daily to get the free spins, (super disappointed to get the 20 minute play when I can’t get past the level
I’m stuck on without power ups or game coins to buy them), and that means not playing for several days trying to get the tools to pass a level.
There’s no way to earn power ups or coins other than completing levels. Even some of the levels not labeled hard need power ups to pass.
You can’t play earlier levels to earn coins.
The two free spins has no visibility, and, if you miss it, it resets to whatever time you log in. Even when I know it’s time for the spins the game often needs restarting a few times to launch the spins.
You’ve got a good game here, and you make money from all the ads, surely it’s better to have people logging in a playing vs trying get enough points to level up.
I will play the difficult levels multiple times to try and figure out how to level up, now I’m at a point where there are bombs with only two plays hidden, so it’ll be a few days before I can do more than spins.
Please make it easier to earn coins, maybe allowing to play past levels to earn enough to pass difficult levels.
Please put a visible spin countdown on the game. All the other games I play offer daily bonuses and they are still available the next day if you miss it.
I’d love to give you five stars, give players a chance to actually play the game.

Challenge
Really good game but earned points are too small, probably to get you to pay for extra tools. pitiful. In addition, my pad quit in the middle of a game and I lost 11 levels. Grrr. A difficult level may require tools to help but you can’t because the point system is pathetically low making you keep playing the same level over and over again until you pay or until you get it. Discouraging and now uninstalled. One wants a good game as a challenge, but not impossible. Then to lose all your rank up, you have to start all over again. Points should be added per game with extra awards when you win. Someone goofed on this one. Uninstalled!

Ad after almost every level and when you run out of lives
The game itself does have a fun concept. Like many other similar games, normal levels are fairly easy to get through. Hard levels are designed to make you use power ups to get past them. You can save up in game coins and get for those or spend real money on. This is not recommended as it will get expensive fast. The biggest drawback to this game is the amount of ads. They happen after every other level and if you run out of lives you are forced into another ad. These range from 10 seconds to over a minute in length. Lately they have been putting ads that also crash the game and after restarting and playing another level, another ad. There are many opportunities for this game to improve and it could easily be a five star game. In its current form I can’t give it above a 2.

fun … to a point
hi! this app is a little boring to start— levels are too easy, etc. but then it gets good… until it doesn’t. some of the levels are so hard it takes me DAYS. because once you get stuck, you’re stuck for good (at least until the added the ads-for-spins wheel, but it doesn’t help a ton). also, late game it’s like 3 or 4 hard levels in a row, which. makes you lose interest. but most importantly… it’s so repetitive ! i’ve gotten so far, yes, but i’m playing levels i played 10 levels ago… it gets a little annoying. plus the ad/app preview with the images (or the clown in this case), just don’t happen??
it’s fine, not perfect at all, and practically BEGS you to spend money, but you can get around it (with a million ads, of course).

New Favorite Game
Not to sound like a smart aleck, but I don’t understand all these reviews that say most of the levels cannot at all be passed without power ups. Literally every level I’ve encountered has been, while sometimes very difficult, passable; you just have to have the patience to go through the puzzle more than once, which I personally don’t mind. If there was anything I would want to request from this game, I’d like to be able to see a catalog of all the cities I’ve built so far. I just think it would be cool. So far, new favorite game though, keep up the good work!!

I’m giving it 5 stars…but
I love this game, however the last two months I purchased the gold pass and didn’t get 8 lives and I never skipped levels. Could you please fix this please. I just bought the pass two days ago. I tried to contact y’all on Twitter@ Rollic, I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m giving this 5 stars bc the game is great! I can’t knock that at all. But you promised me things in my purchase and I want them. To you it’s only $24 over the past two months, but to me it was $24 dollars wasted!!

Fun game but the screw holder seem to have bugs
The game is great. It’s exactly like it’s ads. There are some ads but they don’t pop up every level like some other ones. And it also gives you unlimited lives from time to time. However, the game gives you five screw holders to hold the screw that’s blocking the spots, but the ones you can actually use is four. Whenever the screw holder gets full it immediately says I fail the level. And even if you add extra screw holder the number you can actually use without the game deciding you “fail” is always n-1. There are so many times it is clear that even the screw holder is full you can still make moves without it being considered as failing the level. Furthermore, sometimes when you have screw in the screw holder that’s the same color as the next one, once you’re able to finish the plate it will move on to the next without being consider as failing the level, which makes a lot more sense then the n-1 situation.

Great game, lives and bonus items very limiting
I’m happy to watch reasonable length ads for bonus items, but the hard levels are puzzles that take a few tries to figure out because you can’t tell what colors are under each plate always. between lives and lack of bonus items you get stuck having to wait till later to play a level that requires you to remember what is where under plates which means you start the process all over again next time. You should be able to watch an ad for a bonus item when you need it. If you get stuck there isn’t much you can do.

I wish..
This game is fun and the prevalence of ads isn’t that bad. However, once you fill up the screw slots, the game ends and you fail. It doesn’t make sense because if they are full but I revealed the one I need, I can progress and usually if it went to the next one, it would also make room. It’s annoying because I’ll have one slot left, need only to remove that screw to be able to remove the last screw needed for the box, and the next box would take some of the screws out of the queue and the game would continue. It’s just tedious and getting to the higher levels, it’s enough to make the game not worth it anymore.

REMOVE THE HEARTS / LIVES!!
I may understand a game that uses social media or other ways to get more hearts to play, but this games uses none of that and I don't want to spend money to get SOME time of unlimited lives. This game is fun and addicting but the lives aspect ruins the engagement and isn't for this type of gameplay. The pass / "road trip" should already be good enough for if we would like to spend money on this game. I'm being super honest I would rather a monthly subscription of "NO ADS" just to get rid of the lives aspect of this game. I don't want to be scared to not know a puzzle and wait so long to play a puzzle as well. It's starting to get annoying whenever I have to wait another 30 minutes to finally play a puzzle that I was already confused before-hand. 😭

Absolutely impossible if colorblind
I’m colorblind and on my 15th attempt of level 14. So many of these colors are far too similar in hue for me to be able to distinguish between them. Why put in so many extra bright colors in the earliest of levels instead of highly distinctive colors of the rainbow? You’ve got 7 distinct colors there, all with their own hues and saturations that can make them unmistakable. Give me a white and black screw and throw out what I think is a hot pink and maybe a weird cyan?? I don’t know. Colorblind. Also get rid of the light green right next to the yellow. Make the green darker and there wouldn’t be an issue. The red hue is perfect though. Don’t change that. This would be a hilariously simple change of adding a colorblind slider button in settings, and changing hex values for screws. Takes an hour or two to roll an update out for that.

problem and haven’t had to spend any money on the game …. you have to be ingenious about how you go about it .. like selecting a screw in between a piece that’s swinging over it .. that type of thing
this game is both challenging, relaxing and engaging … I seriously looked forward to playing it daily … when you reach like level 225 they introduce the timed levels …which aren’t my favorite … having to rush negates the relaxing aspect a little bit .. but overall there not too hard to pass .. that’s my only negative … the game is great !! 5 stars hands down

Not as many ads but some levels impossible
There was a level that literally couldn’t be beat with the pieces given, but the devs fixed it pretty quickly. Now I’m stuck on a level that surely can’t be beat without power ups, but there is no way for me to earn coins in the game (by re-doing previous levels or daily rewards or anything) so it’s to the point where I’m forced to pay high prices for too little game currency or delete.
I do appreciate that ads come every 2-3 levels instead of every level as with most games these days. I don’t like that it requires wifi or cell data and doesn’t work if these are turned off.

Nice, but expensive and buggy.
I like the idea of the game, and it’s fun to play, but it seems like a couple of levels are impossible to pass without buying something. It’s kind of frustrating to want to play a cool little game and then remember that you’re on your ninety-seventh try of the same level and don’t have extra money to spend on coins that are not worth the money they want you to spend (at $1.99 per 250 coins, that’s about $0.40 for 50 coins, but because powerups are typically 250 or more, each dollar of real money you spend actually gets you less worth than that.) It’s not something to be proud of when you “stump” that many people with an unsolvable puzzle game; it means that something might need to be looked into and fixed.

Addiction warning!
Well I just read all 6 reviews and I have to resoundingly agree! Fun game, which makes it all the more agonizing to be stuck on a level without coins or hints. I was stuck on level 155 for a long time and somehow I did the right combination of moves and lo and behold I made it through without help. No idea how, probably couldn’t do it again. Then several easy levels allowed me to build up a little stockpile of coins until I got to level 179 which I am now stuck on and I have 65 coins. Very frustrating. I’m all about working for a reward including watching all the ads but there are no options to do this. You just play the same level over and over until you figure it out I guess… because I refuse to pay for what the game should allow you to earn.

Fun but REQUIRES you spend money
On level 200 and it is IMPOSSIBLE to pass. Right from the start, there are 4 bombs that you have to get first or the game will end and none are the color needed to match.
Its a shame because the game is fun and many levels are challenging, but I will not be spending more money to play this game. There are too many games out there. Fix the issue, and at least make them playable without spending money.
I have it 5 stars just so people would see this review and it not get buried.

I loved this game and in fact earlier today made my first purchase. And then I reached level 121. I works through the level and had minimal screws left and none of them matched the suitcases. No screws were hidden. The problem was the remaining screws had stars and the suitcases did not require stars and would not accept them. Now I have hints etc that I can’t use because I’ll never move past this level. The same thing happens every time.
I tired to contact support to report the bug, not wanting to leave a bad review. I was taken to a website and told to select the game from their list. It wasn’t listed. So there you are. Download it just don’t ever expect to move past level 121.
