A good perspective
Travel outside the USA and you become aware of the filters we live with in our news media coverage. The major networks offer heavily skewed perspectives meant to lead the viewer to one conclusion or another by the end of the 2-3 minutes. VOA offers primarily global perspective on world events with a little less judgement thrown in which is helpful in my business. I do not wish to have my precious time consumed with anymore nearly inescapable Kardashian baloney thank you.

Awesome!
This new version only improves on an already polished product. The pictures are razor sharp and the carousel with video content is a pleasure to browse. Most importantly it's news from a trusted source and it's totally advert free.
It's so easy to swipe from article to article within a news category even when a signal is unavailable. I still love the save for off-line feature where I can select articles from multiple topics to read at my leisure.
I also enjoy listening to VOA English live while going into work. Thanks again for this great app!

I don't know why I haven't downloaded the VOA app until today, it's the best news app yet.
It's customizability is compared to none.
When ever I listen to VOA Amharic nightly program by Birhan, Alula, Addisu, & Solomon; it just brings back my old memories when I used to listen VOA with my dad.

Pretty useful
If you are in an intermediate course for any language, I highly recommend this app.
After studying Mandarin for a year and a half I found that this app has enhanced my studies along with helping me follow current events.I have no complaints about the functionality and the content of this app, however, to make it a little bit better I believe there should be a section exclusively for short videos from one to five minutes long.

Now you can listen LIVE! Some small points: The approximate 8 minute newscast has been updated to 2 minutes (that's not good 😒) in the Multimedia >"Audio" sidebar sections. Also, the assorted live feeds need to have a better UI. But better an inelegant solution than the inability to listen live via the app. I'm sure eventually a better UI will be developed. Thanks.

I've always enjoyed reading VOA articles online and with this app. However it is a distraction to still see this has not updated to exploit the increased screen real estate of the iPhone 6/6+. Regardless VOA continues to provide great global news coverage.

Disappointed with new way
I used to listen to VOA everyday on the way to work and on the way home. Now, I can not find any audio clip news that I enjoyed. I really do not want to search the short audio clips and click the phone while I am driving. Please put the long audio clips back like before so I can listen to the news during driving to work and home. Thanks!!!

Chinese version does not automatically update. You need to change language to another one and change back again to update the content.

Your app has a fatal flaw which made me delete it instantly. It reverts back to the homepage and you lose the article you're reading every time you switch between apps. If I don't close the app that means I still want to read the article I had up. Please change this.
