Description

Use your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch as a wireless keyboard and trackpad for your Raspberry Pi!

This universal application lets you send keystrokes and mouse events to you Raspberry Pi computers over TCP/IP via a wired or wireless network.

Remote Pi is ideal for making the best out of a Raspberry Pi in the living room, or office too. Use for:

- Browsing

- Emailing

- Text editing

- Drawing

- Controlling media players

- Do everything in your Raspberry Pi computer that you would normally do with a traditional keyboard and mouse/trackpad, even programming!

Interesting

Sometimes it kinda does disconnect for a brief period but it's rare. Needed a keyboard better than one cheap garbage one I bought a while ago so this helps. Only made for if you're gonna need to visit websites or stuff like that. Not so much to write papers. (I mean you could but I wouldn't recommend so.. lol) Wish this was made to be connected via Bluetooth though 😅. Also, better keyboard maybe. All in all it's a decent keyboard for decent things.

Bravissimo! Perfect!!!

Not only does it work perfectly, but the support is wonderful - my questions were answered in no time.

You can use the app anywhere; just make your iPhone a hotspot and connect the RPi. It's the ideal solution for me, since I'll need to access my RPi on the go.

I was actually shocked with how well it works - no latency, connection issues or anything. Bravissimo!!!

Great App!

I bought and had trouble connecting to my pi3 from my iPhone. I emailed Luis the dev and within minutes he helped me solve the problem. Works great!

Works flawlessly with my RPi-3.

This is well worth the small app price if you consider the price of Bluetooth keyboard & mouse.

Saved me from buying one of those "all-in-one" remote-style trackpad/keyboard devices seen on Amazon for $15-20.

Simple and straight forward.

I was skeptical to purchase this app upon reading some of the 1-star reviews, but decided the risk was worth the two dollars. Upon installing, I followed the steps on the support page to install the necessary packages on my Pi, and I was able to connect immediately. The interface is simple and straightforward, doing exactly what I need and what I expected. This was worth the two dollars in my opinion.

Great App!

Works great with my RaspPi. It allows me to plug in my Pi and start my server without the need of a keyboard. I don't even need a monitor since I can see what I'm typing in the app. To anyone having trouble, you may need a static ip.

Mouse control is terrible

Connects easy and text entry works fine but the huge downfall of the slow impossible to control mouse cursor kills any usefulness of this app. Best to just buy yourself a remote keyboard/mouse combo.

Nice little program

It works as stated. From my Ipad I can control the cursor on the screen and move it as I would a mouse. Double tap and you can open a program. Text window allows you to type any line text in terminal mode. So far I have only used it communicating through my internet router via wifi on Ipad. Really nice program.

Doesn't Work

The app has finally connected to my RPi (after a year of trying everything I can think of) but will not do anything with my RPi. Not sure I want to invest more time with this app.

Works well

I was presently surprised with this app. I had a wireless keyboard that was not reliable and this app eliminated the need for a keyboard and mouse for the Raspberry pi. The installation instructions work as written but, if I were you, I would make sure the remotepi program was loaded at Raspberry startup. To do that you need to edit the /etc/rc.local file at your own risk. I am giving it only four stars because the response to mouse movement and taps are a little slow.

Awesome!

Was having all sorts of problems with a purchased keyboard doubling letters and made coding a nightmare. This app totally fixes that problem and works excellently. Highly recommend. Easy set up too. Love it!!!

Good stuff

The pi definitely needs this in its NOOBS or Wheezy packages ready to go from the start as most have a smart phone and need those two USB ports. It would be great to see this developer get licensed for future distributions in the RPi's software distributions.

Works Great!!

This app saved me from buying an external mouse and keyboard. It works great.

Setup was easy but could have been made easier with a tutorial. I wasn't sure how to get it all setup until I went to the developers website.

Aside from this small detail it was definitely worth the small purchase price. Thanks!

Works Great!!!

This app got me completely by surprise on how easy it was to install and how great it works! The only minimal thing it is missing is the function keys in the keyboard. Other than that, splendit job!! Keep it up!
