I am thoroughly disappointed that it was not until AFTER I purchased Strata Lite that I found out it does not work with a LINKSYS Router! I think I deserve a refund!

Description
Strata Lite Remote for BlackMagic Design ATEM Switchers, including ATEM Television Studio, ATEM 1M/E, ATEM 2M/E, Production Studio 4K and 1M/E / 2M/E Production Studio 4K, TelevisionStudio HD and ATEM Mini Series.
Strata connects directly to your ATEM switcher via Wifi and your switcher's network connection. It does not require a separate computer.
LITE VERSION:
The Lite version includes basic control of Program and Preview buttons on ATEM Switchers (on iPhone controls Program bus only).

Note that the iPhone version does not control preview or Auto, only cuts on the program bus.
NOTE: It does not provide control of the second ME in ATEM 2M/E switchers, although it does control Program and Preview on the first ME of an ATEM 2M/E. This app is not designed for older ATEM Switchers not manufactured by BlackMagic Design. Strata requires iOS 8.1 or later and ATEM firmware version 3.4, thru 8.3 Firmware.
NOTE: If you require more complete control of your ATEM switcher, including ME2 of the 2M/E, you should select Strata Pro from the App Store instead of Strata Lite. (Strata Pro provides control of ALL the main buttons on ATEM Switchers plus Midi Control and Macros).
IMPORTANT: The control protocol uses UDP and is fairly intolerant to packet loss and network latency. It is very important to have a reliable, responsive WIFI network for Strata to work reliably. Wifi router performance varies between vendors, and best results have been shown with Apple Airport wifi routers. Some 3rd party routers have shown to be unreliable due to latency or UDP packet loss. Trash app, trash dev, trash support. Money grab.
You know when you hover over that buy button thinking you know this is a rip-off but hope it’ll at least work enough to be worth it in 1 year or so? Yeah, that’s this app. But still not worth it 1 year down the line.
Absolutely trash - this app is so poorly designed I’m amazed Apple allowed it.
1: the app will refresh its GUI constantly while it tries to reconnect to the ATEM device. This leads to you tapping the same button repeatedly like a slot machine hoping you caught it while it didn’t disable the button and actually sends the command.
2: dev has no idea about WiFi, how it works, or what would fix it. To quote them, “we saw Apple airport behaving better”. Right, makes sense, a 2.4GHz router from a decade ago. Then in the same breath the dev blames your router and BlackMagic for the intermittent connectivity this app is barely handling. I’m 5 feet away from my router, and the laptop using Software Control uses the same router, same WiFi, same protocol that BM wrote, yet magically works. It must be because I don’t have a decade old Airport.
3: emailed the dev 6 business days ago, zero replies. Not even a courtesy “thanks for emailing I’m swamped, I’ll look into it”. Silence.
4. The app costs WAY TOO MUCH for the trash quality and use you get out of it. Dev should dial it back to free. Then at least I and many others won’t be demanding the dev fix the app to work as advertised.
As it stands right now I purchased a product that was falsely advertised, and it has no support. I was cheated, scammed.

Works great.! With covid thing. We couldnt have more than one person in our small sound booth at our venue. Set up cameras on floor and remote monitor. Does the job!

Works but lacking basic features e.g. cut
So this app is very basic as the picture suggest. Touch a button and that source goes live. Not useful if you’ve set up two sources where one uses a key (eg PIP or green screen) and you want to go between the two.
Would love a simple CUT or AUTO button.

Great app
Solid functionality, and works like a charm; would love to have cut and fade functionality in the lite version; those are the only extra functions we would need to take this to the next level: that being said, it is understandable that this would be in the more expensive version

Please add “Ssrc” Super Source to the selectable sources. It is available on the IPad interface and there is room to add it to this version for the IPhone. It would be very helpful!

CRASHING
App continually crashes when connected to the network my ATEM switcher is on. If I’m off the network, it stays open. Help!

Great Idea...poorly implemented.
This is an app Blackmagic should have made. Great idea, but app crashes WAY TOO OFTEN. An app shouldn’t crash if it has trouble connecting with WiFi, and the developer gives the same excuse...”it’s the routers fault.” I don’t blame the router when Safari crashes. There are a lot of bugs to work out of this app before it’s useful in a “real” switching environment. I’ll give it 2 stars for the creativity of attempting something that has real potential to be useful.

It does exactly what a remote does. It's a little confusing at first if your used to controlling it manually but it only takes a couple minutes to figure out.

Works great!
If you configure your settings correctly this wonder app can be a life saver for single user/presenters. Would be perfect if it integrated automation allowing for pre programmed selection sequence of camera and time. I.e switch based on user defined order and specified time for each camera.

Works great
It took me some time to figure out how to get this to run with my black magic device, but once we created our private wifi network, it has done the job for us. Students use this app to control our video switcher at school. It is easy to use and effective. It saves us from having to lug around another computer when we are mobile.

Wasted $10 bucks. Bought it, opened it up and nothing. It looks good but I put in the IP address which is the only setting it has and nothing. No instructions, no alternate settings, no support. Don't waste your money.

Crashes way too often - not suitable for mission critical work
I'm torn because the app works great - when it's not crashing. Sometimes it will remain stable for the length of a shooting session, other times it'll lock up and/or crash frequently.
Another annoyance is that settings aren't saved between sessions. If I don't specifically pull up the settings panel on the first boot it'll ignore the "do not sleep" setting even though it's set to on in my configuration.
Hopefully they can work the kinks out.

Solid App
The app provides solid, reliable control of the Blackmagic Design ATEM line of switchers. The iPad interface is great and reminds one of the BMD's own software control; however, the iPhone interface lacks control of the preview bus and is not optimized for the iPhone 5 screen, which is extremely disappointing.
Finally, anyone needing anything besides basic control or who owns the 1 M/E or 2 M/E should spend the extra money for the Pro version of the app before buying this one. Please note that there is no upgrade route from the Lite version to the Pro version. Although, strangely enough, the Pro version does not have the iPhone interface included for convenience.
The free version of this app, Strata View, makes for a great tally system. Though, I have heard of a 5 device connection limit since they use UDP, but I haven't tested this yet.
