Growtopia is such a great game.I learned about blocks and it was fun to farm.Even though there were Hackers,Scammers and other types of bad people there are a lot of nice people to meet and make friends with.
Tips-Never give anyone access to your world unless you know them well.There is a thing called splicing in the game and that is when you add a seed to another seed.

i've been playing since around 2016-2017. it was very good, and honestly fun.
i have a new growID now and a lot of things have changed since then. for example, there's soooo many more scammers every day, and there's also a lot more exploiters and gambling.
the game honestly wasn't very beginner friendly to begin with, they give you a tutorial but it isn't enough...
it's an okay game, you can do a lot of fun stuff. just don't fall for any scams. they can wipe out a lot of progress in only a few minutes.

Growtopia is a really good game but the servers are absolutely terrible. Constantly kicking me out and they’re constantly doing maintenance that doesn’t really repair anything they do maintenance on the servers just about every day sometimes two and three times a day and nothing really changes.

A bad game
It used to be a great game made by Seth and Hamumu. They did their jobs by getting rid of the scammers, fixing the servers and lots of more. During this time, the game is hella lame, all the moderators doesn’t do a very good job, they are very lazy at banning the scammers and the HACKERS. Also another reason why this game is also lame is because of a false auto ban. I heard two players that was recently banned and when they dm support, they said “How happy are you with our support.” I am sorry Ubisoft, I’m just trying to be honest with this game. How can this game be a great game if your just delaying the updates like Summerfest.

I’ve played this game since I was in the 4th grade and now I graduated, this game is not worth anyones time do not play it. It’s not beginner friendly and they can’t even release updates on time. The developers are lazy, rude, and egotistical. The potential of this game has went down the drain since Ubisoft bought it.

Great game but..
Yes, i absolutely love this game but.. There’s to many hackers and scammers. I played this game for 3-4 years. Made hundreds of friends, Some of them are nice and kind, some of them just ignored me, some of them scammed people and also me. I was having fun with my friends but after that i got hacked. My 5dls gone (Ik I'm a noob) gave all my worlds to my friend.. It was a run.
In my first days of playing, my brother gave me a rainbow dragon that cost like 15-20 wls before i was happy and then got scammed by a scammer in a drop game and then my i scammed a noob scammer by trolling him and getting 200 dirts LOL. My friend made a WOTD it was successful. Ah.. the good old days..

I lost everything
Ok I loved playing growtopia and I had a decent bit of value. I made many good friends too but I lost all my expensive stuff in game to someone doing a trade quick swap, I have one idea to prevent this from happening! That idea is to add a timer on when a trade is able to be accepted. Also there needs to be a re funding system if you played the game legitimately and lost your stuff -_- I only played Growtopia because I got it when it was on Nintendo and honestly that was fun even when I had little value. But in the mobile servers the game is full of heartless scammers who get away with taking from a player and those items aren’t given back. This is quite a big issue if someone spent literal hours trading legitimately and selling items to afford stuff that got scammed away. Seriously please add a better player support and way to get back items stolen by maybe reversing a trade.
You devs care more about updates then helping players that loved this game -_- I spent 70 Hours playing this piece of trash game

Terrible customer support
I have children that play on the same device and they made a purchase without my permission and so I refunded it without spending what they bought and then I permanently got banned, I was also never issued the refund too so they basically took my money and banned me. I took it to customer support and they wouldn’t even bother unbanning or issue a refund, all they did was state the problem and they also didn’t even bother to investigate it. Then I simply ask a question and they told me they won’t be answering anything from me about the topic and if I keep emailing them about it they’d ban me from their support channel which is ridiculous!! At thais point I don’t believe i’ll be getting unbanned or refunded. For anyone, if you accidentally buy an in app purchase, don’t refund it, you’ll get banned and won’t even be issued a refund and sometimes you don’t receive the IAP because the terrible servers. Don’t even risk it by buying anything, it is simply not worth it!

Its well made
Before, I had left a pretty bad review. But I left and came back to the game, so here’s a revised and thought-out review:
The game is great. It has no pop-up ads, days of content, and is grindy (which I like unlike many people). It may be pay to win, but if you’re above 13 the TapJoy offers fix that. I have slowed on playing, but I still enjoy it.
Just for reference, I came to Growtopia in 2020, lost and account, and came back from scratch.

One of the worse customer supports I’ve came across
Me being a idiot back when his game came out not having the concept of money yet a good chunk of birthfay money and this was back before the rewards were so much better then they are now so I spent like 100$ when it was 100,000gems no bonus rewards then i proceeded to buy the dragon and unicorn growboard that I accidentally dropped to a friend thinking he was my friend and I had angels that I also got scammed I was like 10 so I also got scammed for all my items a 2nd time angels and growboard dream items a guy would give me a 100wl but change it to 10.. so many stupid things i did with my gems that I could’ve made profit to buy but I didn’t know and then I caged my unicorn (this is when like the battle cage update came out) then proceeded to break it because I didn’t want It in the cage it disappeared. I spend another 100$ when it 200,000 with growtoken and mega but I sold those for cheap and then I got scammed several time I sold my skeleton dragon to a guy and this is when it was 250wl and he changed to 1dl quick… then I quit before the magplant update and rayman so I lost out on so much stuff… you would think I would be rich well luckily before I quit I bought a growscan when it rised now that’s 30dl I kinda made most the money I spent back but it’s still sad to say that my childhood was treated like this and finally what the title is about I spend a total of 250$ bought the 30$ gem pack and then just recently spent 20$ to get focus eyes my dream item but the first payment I sent went through but my internet crashed so it disappeared and I didn’t get the items and my 10$ was taken so I bought a 2nd pack.. I then complained to there support team like a Karen didn’t get my money back after paying 2days worth of y’all’s job I don’t get my money back wow… and I get it soemone looking at this shouldn’t of been stupid your probably rich no I just had really nice parents that wanted a smile on my face and I never anything huge so 2 years worth of money went to that now I’m fresh out of highschool playing the game for fun with no friends just farming and trying to make profit.. still kinda fun but this game is a waste of time do not join it to many scammers there this constant sb of glitches that aren’t even happening they won’t fix that casino are everywhere they still haven’t fixed that and it’s jsut not fun without friends. So I give it a rating of 1

This game was fun at first but it went downhill when some people got banned for no reason. Me my brother and cousin also got banned for no reason! Best game gone bad
This game is full of hackers. I was literally in a trade with another player. My trade was a drag charm. His trade 160 world locks I see it clearly we argued about him trying to low ball. I click accept and I end up with 1 world lock makes no sense waste of money and time. Game used to be fun but not it’s ran by hackers you can’t even trade on this game anymore. Not fair at all.

Inflation
This game is as realistic as it get, kids will learn lot about how real world function. They will learn how to negotiate, spot good/ bad friends, scammers, profits from investment. Problem is that it is way too realistic as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer concept very much so applied to Growtopia situation as of right now. Everything is expensive to afford, newcomers will just simply quit for it is pointless to spend hours into a game for the rich to just log on and collect someone months even years of works for owning multiple assets. There haven’t yet any forms of taxation being made from the developers to control this madness, which will probably destroy the rest of the population if that ever happens. I’ve learned many things, bonds great memories, found a close friend, mastering helpful skills that can be apply to the real world. Am grateful for this game, but it is destined to end.

Still the best after almost 7 years playing
Man, after almost 7 years with this game, I gotta say one of my favorite games. Got scammed at least three times lol, but definitely got back to it, this helped me improved my English and awkwardness in high school, and definitely made friends from around the world. Keep it Ubisoft, now it’s “your turn” to make teenagers’ and children out there awkwardness better.

Fix it
This game used to be top tier back in 2014/15. Ever since Seth and Hamumu sold it to Ubisoft however, things have gone downhill and fast! Inflation hit so hard that WLs are really worth nothing and to be considered somewhat rich you need to be worth around 10BGL+++. BGL’s DIDNT EVEN EXIST IN 2014/15. We want old gt back, Ubisoft has ruined this game.

A once great game, ruined by greed
I have been playing Growtopia for well over 8 years. With some breaks in between. I’ve racked up well over 5 thousand hours of playtime. This game used to be amazing. It was small. Ran well. And the creators Seth and Mike always had the players best interest in mind. A few years back when Ubisoft bought the game, it all started going downhill. Useless updates. Gem store being made extremely cheaper causing the economy to fluctuate dramatically. Over the last two years inflation has become astronomical. NOTHING is done about casino worlds that STILL run rampant. With huge clans of players making thousands of illegal diamond locks through these methods and selling them for real money. Support is a nightmare. My main account with over 4 thousand hours of playtime was banned for absolutely no reason whatsoever. And support basically said “Your problem”. Ubisoft is just milking money from this game until it eventually dies. This game used to be so great. You could meet tons of people from all over the world. Make great friends. Some of which I still talk to to this day and have met up with in real life. If you’re and OG player like me you can easily relate. Sorry for the long review. It just breaks my heart to see the state of this game today. Thank you.

A constantly changing game
I have played Growtopia for a little over 8 years I believe now. There are a lot of ups and downs to this game. The game itself is fun if your looking to hang out with people you meet or create worlds to just have an overall good time. There is a ton of fun stuff to do in this game such as fishing, surgery, startopian adventures, parkour, crime fighting, building your own worlds, and even profiting/creating items and wearables. There are a few downsides to this game, such as: scammers, hackers, bots, and overloaded servers (normally during the nighttime). But once you learn for yourself and get past the bad parts of the game it becomes a lot of fun. Personally what I love the most is getting my hands on new and fun items when they come out usually every few weeks. This game isn’t pay to win which is super nice. Love this game and continue playing the game with over 7k hrs now! Will always be a Growtopian. ❤️

Not extremely terrible, but not great
The app doesn’t work a lot of times. I enter the game and get a lot of visual glitches, freezing up, crashing, not logging in and other nonsense. It’s definitely not my phone being bad, because it’s the newest iPhone. It’s really annoying and you should fix it.
The game itself, well.. it’s a game, certainly. It’s fun grinding for items and sometimes finding cool people to talk to, but usually, it’s just riddled with toxicity. Since Ubisoft took over the amount of casinos, spammers and scammers seems to have increased. I genuinely don’t know whether to trust y’all and hope you’re trying or to ridicule you guys. The updates you keep releasing just seem to be for money milking, like the latest Pegasus or whatever event. The game seems to be unmoderated, because how is the recommended worlds full of casinos? How are people constantly superbroadcasting scams? It’s just ridiculous. The game’s been dying and you’re further killing it. Come on, Ubisoft, don’t let this wonderful game die.

Ever since Ubisoft purchased growtopia, there has been an influx of added items that pushes to instability of the growtopia economy. I’m not saying the Ubisoft company is bad (they make interesting and well detailed items), but seriously when will there be a break for new items? It seems every week there’s something semi expensive added to the game, as more of these items are added the demand for other items drop leading to unstable prices of virtually everything that’s around 1-10 diamond locks in cost. There should be more added items, such as shirts and pants, that contribute to unique character styles instead of flooding the market with eye blasting hats and back accessories that cost well over 3 diamond locks. Adding so many items only contributes to economy instability making scammers, influencers, and manipulators more prone to profits by cheating other players.

Sad how it turned out
Growtopia was amazing, i remember i played it like a few months after its release and i was instantly addicted. It was honestly just such a good time. The friends i made on there are still my friends now years later and we’ve even flew out and met each other. friends u make there actually last a life time. I revisited the game for nostalgia and now its impossible to find an actual world and meet people, all it is now it worlds with random names with a portal next to spawn that takes you to a different world with another portal that just takes you to a stupid casino, drop game, or a world no longer accessible. The game blew up in Indonesia and its like the main player base now and i have such a difficult time making friends on the game cuz its nearly impossible for me to find someone who speaks english and the very few that i do find are toxic because im not as rich as them, (my set used to be very pricey back in the day) anyways yeah, its nearly impossible to make friends because theres no social worlds anymore, every single world is just a casino, drop game, or someones farm world. Sad to see the game and how it is now..

This game is awful and I’m not here to talk about scammer and hackers those are avoidable but I’m here to talk about the gameplay it’s awful are you surprised they aversive the game like you go one all of these adventure and stuff but all you do is farm and farming is boring it’s a chore to do and that it you can do but you can make friends but community is toxic I’ve played this game for years when it was a lot newer and back then there was a lot of humble people just there to have fun now people only care about currency that is WORTHLESS and all you can do with it is flex with it and people do toxic things for it like casinos trying to break the economy things like that it’s sad I wish I had a time machine where I can go back to the good old days all my friends got bored of this game I hope the people who play this game and do toxic things realize that they are wasting their time oh yeah this game is extremely unrewarding all you get is cosmetic items and that is boring to me I’m quitting this game it will never change and Ubisoft is also trying to make all the nostalgia and fun gone if you are reading this and you want to find a better sandbox game play Minecraft and terraria those games are fun and a blast to play with friends and those devs actually care about there community that all I have to say about this game if this review isn’t enough to convince you that this game is bad I don’t know what whould.

Im gonna guess and say that half of the 1 star reviews are from kids who got scammed, when you play this game, there are no goals for you to complete, just get rich and richer. You can choose to make friends along the way but theres a good chance that youre gonna get backstabbed by them. The servers sometime go under maintenance a lot but if youre at least 16 years old, you shouldnt be bothered by it. I’ve been playing this game for maybe 5 to 7 years and the game is pretty solid. Only reason why it isn”t 5 stars is because the community, the community goes apeshit at every opportunity they get and anyone in the game with over 5 dls has a huge ego, if you so much as call someone a noob, they’ll just start spamming “lol” like its 2017 and make fun of your divorced parents. The game is overall pretty good.

It’s gets worse once you get used to it
When you first play the game, it’s not too bad. There’s farming and many ways to get money. You have a lot of fun playing it. However, the bad things in the game definitely weigh out the good things. For example, the people. Most of them don’t even know basic math and you can’t trust any of them unless you know them in real life. A lot of them don’t even speak English. Another thing you’ll experience are things like the amount of players in worlds are capped at 60 so it would be hard to join worlds you want to. Also, maintenance breaks are absolutely annoying. They take hours. Oh and the lag/delay.... don’t even get me started. Some of them time, lag is not even based on your device or WiFi, I’ve been to some worlds where everyone is lagging similarly. In addition, it’s almost impossible to buy expensive items without losing world locks. Every time I buy an expensive item the price is always changing and most of them time it drops instead of rises. Playing the game is basically only fun if you’re rich or you have friends in real life that play it. Other than that, you’ll have a lot of time doing nothing and joining random worlds.

Honest opinions
Hi! I’ve been playing gt for about 6 years now. Places that I’ve been, the hype I’ve seen in each unique worlds, people I’ve met. This game holds part of my childhood and I still love it a lot, though I do not play everyday but, I still log in sometimes to visit the ogs places or talk to my friends online. Most of my friends do not play anymore but sometimes on rare occasions I might see them and maybe say hi to them. Growing up with gt, I’ve learned many many things from there. I would love to thank the developers for keeping gt safe and the mods for their hard work. Thank you! Love you guys so so much. :) 😚.

I LOVE Growtopia. I got scammed like maybe 2 times? These kinda scam made me realize that not everything is going to be or happen the way I want it to. And my mom tried to purchase a bag of gems once for me and the purchase didn’t go through, idk why, but I’m gland it didn’t, from there I learned how to grow my account and grow as a person trying to forgive the person who scammed me. I also love how MODS actually respond to your messages like they actually do care. I also love the new updates and fixes as we can see that Growtopia is trying to improve themselves daily. What ever complain we have, they’ll try their best to fix them. Really appreciate it! I’ll be back a year later.

So I have played this game for a long time now roughly around 2 and a half years. And I have seen it’s ups and downs but a month back I bought my dream the ray man fist I saved for almost 2 years and I was happy with it. Then one day I woke up and I could not equip it or take it off at first I had herd of duped items not being able to pick up. And I also herd that you won’t be able to drop or trade dls until a fix in a dupe glitch. So I tried playing the waiting game. I waited until the next patch and after school I got on GT and it still wasn’t fixed I even waited until another patch update. Nothing happened. At this point I’m frustrated because it may have been a duped item but how could I have known it was duped. He sold it for the same price as others he didn’t say it was duped nor try to scam it was legit trade, just it wasn’t legit on how he got the item so I spent a lot of time on this and GT devs should notice this cause it costed me a lot of time for my item to be unable to be used.

has this game when i was in 4th grade. (11th grade now) so much things has changed. didn’t have a growID for a while but when i finally made one, i got hacked. made a new account and forgot my password, then my current account, i can’t change my password because the email i used back then was my email when i was around 5th grade and i totally forgot since i have a new device, email, and etc. been afraid to play because of the spike of hackers / scammers. hope i could change my password because i really want to keep my account and not make a new one. I love this game, played it when it was at it’s peak. Hakanss, CocoMonkey, Squiggy13, Wicker10, all those cool youtubers but i completely stopped being active once Ubisoft took over. feels wayyyyy different. Still keep the game because it’s so nostalgic. i would rate 5/5 if not for the current toxic community :/ . love growtopia 4ever😂

I wish I could rate 5 stars
As a long time player, playing since 2014 the game was the best game on the phone you could get in my opinion. I had so many great memories with friends and cousins that I wouldn’t trade for anything. S/O to Creatorr and aldert if you’re seeing this! Haven’t been able to see, talk, or contact you since making an new acc due to hacking. But, nonetheless this game is so enjoyable and has endless opportunities, it also is fun to learn things and put that knowledge into making wls. Although I say good things about this game, it has become unbearable to play. I just started playing again after almost 2 years and the servers are atrocious. I disconnect almost every 2 minutes, my game freezes every couple seconds and it is impossible to have an enjoyable time. It never used to be like this with my older phone 2 years ago, and now i have the newest phone you can buy and a $600 computer so I know it’s not me. Plus I see so many people complain about the servers so I know its just not me who is annoyed by this. Although I love the game, I can’t rate 5 until the severs are fixed!

I loved this game in the beginning played it for around 4 years but it slowly died out. when Ubisoft bought it slowly died out.... I want to have more fun updates now this game is mostly about get a lot of dls spend all your money people to get dls and stuff it’s stupid now change the game to fun I can see a lot of people QUIT playing this game because of UBISOFT. In addition I got randomly ban! It said my device was ban because an account got ban but that was not mine. A lot of scammers has been going on and I just recently got scammed by evanicolas on the game. They scammed me by saying they would pay me 5 wl’s in exchange of my doing their farming and the game did nothing about it. I spent over $500 dollars on this game and all I get for that is to get scammed, hacked, and ban from the game. I don’t recommend this game to anyone it has become terrible and it’s not worth your time and money. If I could honestly rate this game 0 stars I would because that is just how bad this game is if your seeing this and want to download the game don’t do it.

Well i don’t know much about rollback but all i know is that it resets players inventory’s and a specific time when the glitch or hack or issue happened, but the part that i don’t get is that why would they take away my gaia and tesseract of manipulators? i have worked hard to get those, countless days playing to get those, also have it in mind that i bought these items like what, 2 months ago? I know that i can contact growtopia but they must be getting a lot of complains already so i guess this is the best way to do so, i really hope i get my items back and also good luck to those who lost many countless items. Overall I have been playing this game for 4 years and it is one really addictive fun game to play once you understand what to do. And you get to collect items which make you look cool and show how long you have played. Unfortunately a lot of the community for this game is full of scammers which will try to take your items which could also mean stealing by doing tricks which can’t be reversed thus losing all of your stuff you worked hard for making you restart. This game is still fun but I quit this game on the day I’m writing this because I was scammed out of at least 15$ by a scam which completely ruined my hard work. Please be cautious when playing game and if you have problems with spending just don’t install because of how much money can be spent on this to eventually be thrown away

ITS ADDICTIVE!
I absolutely love this game. I have been playing for over 5 years. This game will make you come back to it if you quit. It has a thing about it that no body can explain but it’s very addictive. I love this kind of addiction since it isn’t as harmful as other addictions. However, the only think that I don’t like is when you get hacked. I have ever shared my information to anybody. But I still got hacked over 50dls worth of items and 26 pure dls. I don’t understand why the game can’t look into your account and see if you actually got hacked to give back the stuff that you lost. However, I still love the game and everything about it so I am 100% sure it deserves a 5 star review.

Fun At First
I don’t usually write reviews but I’ve played Growtopia since 2014 and I remember how exciting it was to build with my friends and roleplay. As the years went by, more and more of my friends quit. Of course, Growtopia was still fun. There isn’t really an “end” or a way to “win” but I just kinda ran out of things to do and that was when it became boring.
If you’re new and you’re considering trying this game out, I definitely recommend it. Growtopia can really help teach you about how to deal with scammers, hackers, techniques in trading items, and the fluctuations of a player-based economy. Just be careful about playing too much because the game can be quite addicting. Also, the controls and concepts of the game can be hard to understand, so try to get through the tutorials. It can be tough for beginners to become rich.

Great Game not so Great Community
Growtopia is a game where you can build, grow, farm, and most importantly, get rich. I find this concept really interesting and makes this game very fun. I only rated Growtopia 4 stars becuse the actually community is mostly made up of toxic people, scammers, or hackers. Scammers really make an impact on the hame becuase they will trick you into “dropping” your items, then they will steal them. Hackers will speed hack to let them run really fast, or necome invincible. This doesn’t sound bad at first, but then people do “giveaways” where they giveaway some of their “world locks” or currency. The hacker will then speed and health hack to give him/herself a very high chance or winning the giveaway. Toxic players are just mean and rude. If the developers were to ban all or even just most of these types of people I would rate this game 5 stars for the idea of a game that simulates a real world economic system.

I can’t even start again
A few years back, I used to play Growtopia a decent amount, doing minor farming and such, and I recently decided to come back and start fresh. I made an account, made a fresh world, and within five seconds of me being there, multiple people were there immediately asking if they wanted to trade. I said no, as literally the best thing I had was dirt wall seeds. After refusing, they immediately world locked my world, forced me within a confines of dirt, and kept harassing me about about a noob scam. They then proceeded to have several trades and scam others while I asked if I could have my world back. Immediately got kicked and banned from my own world. So, I decided hey, let’s make another one world then. Same exact thing with different people happened. Mods were no help after I contacted them. This is complete bs, and I honestly am disappointed to see how much this game has gone downhill to allow something somewhat equivalent to an international crime ring happen within their own game.

Terrible tutorial
This seemed like fun game but... I started and it sent me into a tutorial world. All well and good. In this tutorial it mentions that it is important to lock your world, but fails to tell you how. Then it sent me to my own world, where it continued the tutorial process, however, before it got to the point where it taught me how to lock my world and keep people out, people were swarming me. Some were nice, and some were not, but they all distracted me and made it impossible to continue. First person wanted to give me stuff. Nice, but I find no fun in being given stuff. What’s the point in playing then? By the time I had declined, he had already dropped things and they were in my inventory. Oh well, no real biggie. Next few people came and started spamming things all over. Not fun, and now impossible for me to continue my beginner task. Someone cleaned it up for me (thanks, whoever!). I was trying to skip ahead of the beginner tutorial and lock people out so I could learn in peace, but couldn’t figure it out. Then someone came in and tried to show me a lock. Thanks, but by this point I had decided to sign off and delete the game. Nothing like tons of unwanted guests when you are trying to learn something new. Devs: my suggestion is to put how to lock things in the tutorial world, or else automatically set new worlds to private.

I’ve played 6 years and it’s still fun!
The devs are constantly adding new updates trying to make the game better. Some people say this game is terrible there are way too many scammers/hackers. Well, it’s really easy to not get hacked or scammed and if you do it’s completely your fault. How to prevent your account getting hacked? Don’t tell anyone your password, don’t download anything growtopia related or download any files from growtopia players. How to prevent getting scammed? Don’t give anyone your items don’t trust anyone. It’s really that simple and some people think that’s not good. Well in real life would you trust a random person $50,000? No you wouldn’t. So why do it in a game? Overall, this is a great game and really fun but I just wanted to point out why it has some bad reviews.

It’s been a good 6 years so far and still going!
Hey guys :) as most of you know Ubisoft has bought this game about 2 years ago but I’m happy to say that this game has changed my life in many ways. I start the game when I was just 10 and now I am going to be 16 in 3 months! This game is so amazing because you get to meet people all over the world and get to create friendships that never end! Yes maybe once or twice your even many times you may get scammed but from a person who has learned form his mistakes the game is just common sense 😂listen to your gut and you’ll start a journey that will keep you playing for years to come trust me. And yea the addiction is real but sometimes it’s good to take breaks occasionally I take 3-4 month breaks during studying seasons of school but either then that I’m a A+ student and I am currently on my way to becoming a med student! Hopefully 😅

This game is definitely worthy of 5 stars, but unfortunately the community of the game is so horrible that I have to give it one. I know it’s not 100% the games fault but at the same time is truly is. The moderators refuse to help the community and the tech support is even worse. There are countless glitches for people to steal, hack, and scam you and it’s only getting worse. The reason I feel I need to write this review now is because one of the fundamental parts of this game has just been abused by the community and turned into an unfair and unbeatable way to steal your items. One of the biggest things you do in this game is trade and the safest way to do so is through an legitimate trade via the implemented menus, but today even that has failed me. I used this supposedly “only safe way” of trading and ended up losing a bunch of items and not getting the other items offered in return. I don’t even know how that’s possible. But it is. Basically if you like working hard only to have it stolen time and time again no matter how much you follow the rules then play this game, if not, don’t.

Great game but banned for no reason

Good but worse
I played about 6 years. The game is good,but worse. You know it’s sad that people got banned cursed, scammed, and hacked. It keeps happening,never stops. When I msg the moderators, I know they’re busy all the time helping. Other players. But one thing. The moderators quits the game, or need to do stuff in real life. If you can hire just a little mods, probably there’s a chance they ban all this bad players. And there will be few bad on the game. Growtopia is my favorite game! I’ve been playing for 4 years, and those 4 years have been the best. I have so many good friends that I made in this game, for example, my first friend that I ever made in GT still talks to me, she Is so kind and she’s really funny! Thank you for all of the memories Hannahlak. This game has gotten me through middle school, and honestly, I still play it in high school. I’m kind of a pro I guess, but I don’t like to brag about it. Instead I like to donate to the new players! There’s really no use for WLS anymore because the creators got rid of casinos. But you can still buy stuff with them, make worlds, or you can give them to new players! I love this game so much, and I hope you do too! - Good leveling system
- New moderators
- Cool Item of the Months
- Huge world sandbox
- Many types of locks

- WLS are fairly easy to obtain
- Growtopia YouTubers
- Legendary Quests
- Many events annually
Cons:
- Too Many scammers
- Too Many scams
- There should be more moderators online at one time.
- Backpack space is annoying to deal with
- Obtaining gems is difficult even through farming. The only way to get gems fast is buy buying them w/ $ or WLS from other players.
- There shouldn’t be a max cap for how many friends you can have.
- Too Many toxic players
- Players should be able to cancel role quests because what if they cannot do the quest they are assigned?
- Too Many hackers
- Servers are very slow &’ shut down frequently
- Monthly bundle shouldn’t be $30, the tokens are hardly worth the price & 200k gems is certainly only worth like 9-15$.
- Ubisoft needs to advertise Growtopia more if they want a bigger community
- People sell DLS and accounts for actual money on the daily
- Ringmaster is so not worth it, you have chances of getting really trash rings. There should be a change to the ringmaster where you can choose what ring you want, and you would be given tasks according to the ring.
This review would’ve been a 3/5, but the game has improved so I’ll give it a 4/5.

Ok so, I have been playing Growtopia for about roughly 2-3 years now and I have learned A LOT from it, for example what to do and what not to do like do not host drop games or be in a drop game, it is an easy way to get scammed. Also if you see a “Global server Message” saying “YOU WON SOME DIMOND LOCKS, CLAIM THE AT THIS WEBSITE” DO NOT GO TO THE WEBSITE AND PUT IN YOUR INFO! You will get hacked and most of your stuff will be gone, I did it once and I deeply regret it, I had to make a new acc and it was not fun. But a few good things are...
1. You make awesome friends
2. Farming is awesome and when you farm you earn different items and gems.
3. You can have tons of fun, For example, There is puzzles, Parkour worlds, story worlds(worlds with signs the tell cool stories) worlds where you can buy and sell items, but be careful no to get scammed (etc).
When you buy or earn World locks you can buy and add stuff to you world, dress up in cool unique clothes (etc).
And yes this is a young 10 year old child the wrote this, so the grammar and word choice may not be the best sry. Also Don’t trust ANYONE unless you know them really well in real life, If you do not know them watch out, It’s a huge easy way to get scammed or hacked. And NEVER NEVER tell you password or growId to anyone, It’s a way to get hacked or scammed.

Overall, this game is pretty decent. It’s not exactly bad nor good. Of course there’s scammers and hackers, what do you expect? People will always want to ruin the experience for other players, that’s just how it is. But why hate on the game just because of other peoples’ mistakes? Sure, maybe moderators can stop scams or something illegal, but they have LIVES when they’re offline. They won’t always be there to stop every single scam. Also, you don’t HAVE to use money on this game. It’s extremely possible to make in-game currency without paying. If you wanted a quick head start, sure, use a few bucks. It’s all on you and no developer of this game is forcing you. And sure, this game could get boring every now and then, I’m not gonna lie. You might have to get a little creative or, yes, use your imagination. Meet new people on here and get some good friends- Because I have. There’s amazing people playing this game and there’s so many things you can do, they just might be hard to think of: that’s the type of game this is.

Great Concept but TERRIBLE support
As a long time supporter of this game, I think that this game started out with a great concept and Seth + Hamumu executed it perfectly. A lot of very nice people were on the platform (except for a select few). Once Ubisoft bought the game, things went downhill FAST. Sure, the game got more popular, but this brought on hundreds and hundreds of greedy and toxic people. I previously said in a review I wrote two years ago that you should blame yourself for getting scammed, not the mods. Looking back, I STRONGLY disagree. This game has VERY TERRIBLE support, the mods don't give a crap about the poor growtopians who have gotten scammed. There are even some stories where these said growtopians get banned from the game for NO REASON.
TL;DR, This game started out with a great concept but went downhill once Ubisoft bought the game. For any newcomers, I recommend getting Pixel Worlds instead, it may be more challenging, but at least you won't get scammed.

Ok so first of all the servers always update. Like always especially when I’m farming or something. Second, waaaaay too many scammers and hackers in the game. There are so many ppl quitting and getting hacked. Some ppl fake that they’re quitting just to scam ppl. Oh btw, theres this scam where ppl would broadcast “I’m quitting gt got scammed come donate prize 30 ELA” or something like that. When u go to that word, you’ll see a bunch of donation boxes and the owner will say donate to win highest donation wins and it’s just ridiculous🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I don’t understand why ppl need to donate to u when you’re quitting straight up bs. Also another thing, there are a bunch of spammers in a lot of trade worlds. I would report a few here and there. But instead, there would just be even more. THE MODS DONT DO THEIR JOBS!! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ There are so many casinos and other illegal worlds yet they still don’t remove any of them. Maybe some here and there, but overall it’s just way to many. So many ppl betting, quitting, scamming, and hacking because MODS DONT DO THEIR JOBS. But like I understand if they have other things to do, but there are more than just one or two moderators. In conclusion, I’m very disappointed. The funny thing is, that all of the things I mentioned occurred once Ubisoft purchased the game 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. So if u have read this, plz don’t waste your time on this crap.

Oh Growtopia, the many thing I have learned from you. I have played roughly 4 years and you have helped me through my most awkward time: middle school. Although there may be scammers and hackers, the friendships you make are the ones that will last! Don’t worry about WLS or stupid currency in the game, rather spend wls and get them moving! Donate to a new player! Help someone break their farmables for free! Seth and Hamumu gave a great basis to build off of, but sadly UBISOFT has let another customer down. The old GT days were filled with endless chats, farming, and building. As a more seasoned player I have three words of advice. 1: Mods will never help you out, nor emailing the makers of the games... it’s sad but true.
2: Don’t ask for donations. Be patient and farm and splice your way up in the world! Farming has gotten me almost all the DLS I have ever had!
3: Find good friends... the friends you make on GT will last forever, and will always be loved! My friends helped shape who I am today and I would be no where in life without them and GT! Thanks Christine and Nid. And most importantly thanks GT for giving me some of the most fun moments of my life!

Hey people, I really enjoy this game. If your thinking of wasting time or a game nerd that would spend hours on this game this is for you!
I have recently got hacked because of this thing on my computer and I emailed them about this and they responded the next day but then never again. Every day I wait for them to respond but they never answer. The game is really fun you do farming, spending world locks, profiting, etc. The game takes a lot of time to become rich but then you farm you are rich! (doesn't make sense but ok) some people find a way to glitch the system or duplicate but people that duplicate are BANNED! Growtopia is a game also to get creative and build whatever you want. You also can meet other people and make friends. And those sites that ask for your password are scams. There are too many scams in Growtopia and people that are scammers out there. Fun only if you have a purpose/goal to achieve
I downloaded this game about 3 years ago. I saw my friends playing it and I was curious. Growtopia is an interesting sandbox game. You can dress your growtopian avatar up and try to look pro. Or you can also just farm and earn gems and world locks. World locks, diamond locks, etc are a nice form of currency in growtopia, but one thing that is especially annoying is spammers and scammers. Make sure to change your password once in a while to prevent hackers from stealing your stuff in your account. Don’t get tricked into entering your password into any websites claiming free world locks and whatnot. Growtopia used to constantly amaze me, because I didn’t play that much. But now that I am able to play, it is starting to get boring. When Ubisoft acquired the game, about a year ago, I was expecting change or at least some decent updates considering the fact how Ubisoft is a large company. However, once Seth and Hamumu sold it, there’s isn’t much fun anymore.

Ehh
I used to love this game a year ago because I started and played, but as I played, I went into a world and owner pulled me into 2 pinballs and I was banned for 80 days or something. When it’s over, I attempt to play, but it’s permanently banned. I made new accounts, but the other one was my favorite and it’s banned. I emailed the support people and they said I need an email, but I don’t remember my email because it was one of those emails when u don’t have an email and u just make one up, and I couldn’t get it back. But I didn’t even do anything! Btw, the name was Micklypants. I really miss the account, and even though I sort of understand why they wouldn’t give me back the account, I am really angry because others who fall for that might lose their accounts too.
Overall, it’s a really good game, you can meet new people and make friends, but scammers are annoying.

AMAZING GAME...but
Growtopia is fun and all but it just gets annoying when your just trying to play a game and there’s consataly people yelling FREE WL IN SO AND SO WORLD and people hacking is annoying my friend got hacked for 68 wl then he got 15 wl and got hacked for that then he got hacked for 20 wl so why can’t you stop the hackers I mean it’s your game and you should be able to control it and minimize the scammers like have a system that can catch them like how China has the great fire wall to block people from the web you don’t need to make it that extreme but pls fix because me and all my friend s love growtopia and say it’s the best game we ever played so if you can fix ill give 5 stars and I will tell all my other friends that don’t know what growtopia is to play and so we can all have a nice and peaceful community thank you for your time(p.s I’m only 12 so I kinda bad at spelling lol sorry)

Growtopia is a great game that is genuinely fun. But I’ve played for what I’d say is nearly 5 years, and the updates are really ruining it. The creators either make rare things invaluable by making it easier to get, or make it impossible to have unless you’re saving up hundred of thousands of the most expensive currency; world locks. The updates are just cranked out and honestly unnecessary, the creators are just looking for something to add. To really get a lot of the achievements you have to play way-over-dedicatedly, and that’s a lot coming from someone who’s been playing for 5 years! The format doesn’t even work well on iPhone X, and I’ve sent in multiple complaints about it. There’s also always new scams, and there’s been multiple resets in the game. Overall, it’s an okay experience, but after a while you realize how useless it is to continue playing when there will always be new things, and you’re rare objects become easier to get or impossible.

It Ruined Itself
Essentially the main goal of gt is to get rich, meet people, and have fun. Obviously most people only care about the first option which is to get rich. One of the ways a growtopian can get rich is by playing in a casino which is a totally real and legitimate thing that you can do IN REAL LIFE! However, growtopia made this illegal even though the federal government accepts it. Now here’s what tends to happen, people play casino, they win some, then they lose cause that’s how a casino works, then they get all mad and report the world resulting in many people getting banned or cursed for that one person losing or getting upset. This shouldn’t happen, if the casino itself isn’t scamming and it’s just one admin, ban that admin, if someone is being a sore loser, don’t even bother. If casinos are so bad why don’t you just remove the roulette wheel, the dice, and the Rock Paper Scissors? It’s because you know many of your beloved pros and youtubers use casinos to get rich, I even have proof of this as I’ve seen Swe, Wicker, and Zwane playing and earning wls in a casino! This was recent like 3-4 months ago! So yeah, thanks for banning me and a bunch of others when we did nothing wrong simply because you don’t want the sore losers with the rich moms to leave

I wanna go back to the past Growtopia...
I have played this game since 2014? or like 2015 and I always have fun in this game its just like a normal game which is about having fun, but I played Growtopia again like 2016 and the thing that disappoints me is... Well all of my friends when i warp them I see them farming, which makes me think that this game is about Wls and Dls and thing, and makes me lonely... When I played this game when it was 2014 my friends and I dont really think about getting Wls and being pro we were just making happy worlds without a Wl, with just an Sl,Bl,Hl and we were so happy with the world we made... We actually make worlds about military things. I wish Growtopia can be like just a normal game like when I was playing in 2014 and now there are really many scammers and Casino. When I go to START many spammers are saying GO TO WORLD blablabla WHO PLAY CSN blablabla like that and it makes me think that Growtopia has changed. But its a nice game though

Record Ban
Well, I never actually played this game. I heard about it on another game, downloaded it, and was instantly IP banned. Apparently, Xfinity has given me an IP number that’s already on Growtopia’s banlist. I’m sure all I need to do is cycle my router, but it made me wonder why they would need to use such an aggressive, low-tech policing method.
So, I read the reviews, and did some research. I have to say that it all sounds a bit dramatic and sordid. It seems like it’s meant for feral 12-14 year olds, and apparently has no community standards beyond “if you get noticed by a moderator or a scammer, you’re well and truly screwed.” I bet there’s more than a few sociology research projects available there, but I’m not sure it’s worth my time.
I’ll leave the icon on my iPad and try it again next time I run into it. (By the time I get back to page 16 of my home screen, I’m sure I’ll have a new IP.) But, til then, I wanted to warn others that the main point of this game seems to be that everything you acquire - even the stuff you pay real money for - is fair game for scammers and thieves. Your job is to try to fend them off long enough to gain some sort of lock or security. In fact, it seems the scammers and thieves are integral to the game and provide the primary content.
Great playground for 12 year olds, right?
If I’m reading all this wrong, sorry. Perhaps if I hadn’t been banned before I even logged on for the first time, I’d have a more accurate picture.

Bad customer support
I have played growtopia since 2013 and I really like it but the mods and developers do not seem to really care about their players. I entered the world "TROLLFACEBAN" where players were on the white door punching and dropping items on the right side of the white door. I went to pick up the items and the players punched me over a checkpoint and into an empty space with a mushroom below it and a lava cube above it. It caused me to die then when I re spawned I was auto-banned by the system for 60 days. On the growtopia support site I appealed for the unjust ban to be removed and reported the world but nothing was ever done and they have not replied to me for weeks. Even if they have a lot of issues to take care of reading the reports made by players should be one of them. if not, then I will quit playing this game even after the ban is removed.
(Update: I have received a response from the developers and had the faulty ban has been removed. Thanks to them, and 5 star rating restored.)

Fun once you get used to it
Growtopia is definitely a game I love to play. The creators are always adding new updates and items which is awesome. I’ve made many friends from around the world through this game, it’s really a great community if you avoid dumb things like drop games and other obvious scamming events. My number one advice is to just be careful!! When trading, always take a few seconds to check the trade confirmation. Always avoid drop games no matter what. Don’t do anything suspicious. It’s that simple. And if you wanna be rich, don’t ask for donations. It’s ok to want to be rich but don’t bug other players. FARM! I know it sounds sad but if you want a head start, you might have to pay some money, then buy farmables and start farming. But your hard work will pay off. You don’t need to be rich anyways, you can talk to other players and play mini games if that’s your style. Growtopia is a game that takes a while to get the hang of, there are so many rules and little things that you need to know to really get the experience (and plus those rules keep Growtopia safe), but it’s fun. If you get scammed, it’s your own problem, not the creators’. I’ve been scammed at least 100wls worth of items in all my years of playing but trust me, it’s not that big of a deal, you’ll earn it back if you actually try. Just farm, it’s the only way you’ll earn your own riches.

Waiting?
I understand that you’re crew is busy because it’s Christmas Eve but I’ve sent an email to your team about how when I was trading 6 vend for 28wl it was all normal we talked a little and then I noticed when he traded me the 28wl it came from his account to mine as 2wl and I was so mad at this because that just wasted more than 5 dollars on the gems I bought for wl that’s what happened I sent the email 3 days ago and I feel that I’m going to get an email saying “sorry we can not help that your account was hacked you should have made your password better” well guess what my password is short but full of numbers and no I didn’t give out my password apparently it has happened to other people too I saw lots of people talking about it on the forums well now hackers have learned to hack the trading wall what I mean is when the items are being sent through the hackers can just take it because there is no firewall at all in growtopia if someone finds out how to do it worse than any other then all hell is unleashed on growtopia

GT went downhill
Ever since I started playing Growtopia in 2015 i had no idea of the long time I would spend on that game, I was addicted to that game it was so fun from the beginning until Ubisoft bought it, from that point on Seth and Hamumu gave up a great game to a popular game company. Since that happened more and more players have joined, and with all of the people come scammers, I know all of the moderators and developers cannot do anything to prevent this from happening for example being at every single scam in Growtopia, it’s just not possible. It took me almost 3 years of playing Growtopia just to reach 3 diamond locks and then scammed, hacked, and played. I pulled 3 or 4 all nighters just to play growtopia. Now the game is honest to God “trash” waiting to be thrown away. I highly do NOT recommend this game to anyone who is reading this review. There are too many scammers and hackers in Growtopia. And also if you are young please do not attempt playing this game, there is too much language, cyber-bullying, rudeness, sexuality, gender equality and racial discrimination involved and I did not like it.

BEST GAME EVVERR
When I first got this game, I thought like many others; this is another stupid Minecraft ripoff, it looks SO stupid!!
My friend who introduced me had asked me to her some time to try to show me this game, she used to be a legend but her brother trashed all her stuff!! I have her my time and got obsessed with this game, I’d play for hours none stop. So I say no matter how stupid it first seems; try and learn the beautiful concept. Learn about different people from ALL OVER the world. And let Growtopia show you some harsh reality’s in real life like scamming other acting (don’t trust anyone you don’t know) So don’t judge Growtopia by what it first looks like because it is my favorite game and hard work creates you to be more pro and create beautiful worlds with the most wonderful music. And no matter how many times you get scammed of hacked, NEVER QUIT! You should defiantly download Growtopia and see for yourself, how great of a game this is! :)

I can’t blame you for others mistakes
It’s a perfect game, except for when they scam and hack and use their friends account who happens to be my friend. I got scammed so much that I quit 17 times. There are great ways to avoid scamming, but you can’t avoid hacking!!! Unless you are a hacker (I’m not). Growtopia has always been fun for me because of profits and all the dirt to < > series and road to < >. All in all, I’m giving this a 5/5 not because I like it, but because Seth and Hamumu and Ubidev worked hard making this, and people are just hacking, scamming, being hacked/scammed, and it isn’t your fault they have to do this because you just wanted a nice and peaceful game, so I understand you banning people, cursing them, and one thing I don’t understand is HELL. Why was it banned? There are worst words. I’m not going PG but seriously. My best guess is that you don’t want people making fun of the cursed. You should also remove the fact that cursed people can go to seasonal worlds. The cursed shouldn’t really be cursed because sometimes they just enter a world and get cursed. I find it unfair for those people, so you should at least have HELL be start.

Sorry its long
Growtopia brings people together from all over the world, and allows you to learn more about other countries. One thing I learned was that so many people are dumb and can't do basic math. That was really surprising. Having the majority of the players being very young, it doesn't take much to become "rich". The growtopian economy mimics the real world. Aside from this, there are also many aspects of this game which deviate it from others. There is a distinct music system which allows players to compose their own music, as well as listen to others. I personally find this the most intriguing, and it's what motivated me to learn more about music. The developers do all they can to make this game better. There are constant updates, new events, and new items. A bulk of the bad ratings are from little kids who were banned for justified reasons, and are still angry at support for not giving back their items. This game gives you a taste of the harsh reality of the real world. If you get scammed or hacked, it’s completely your own fault. Like seriously, all you need is a complex password. Also, it is completely possible to have a fun time without the need to pay money. Other players spending money dont affect your own gameplay. My advice is not to trust people you don't know irl with your items, no matter how authentic they may seem.
