This is a pretty good app. It has everything you will really need. But I had to buy the pro version so I could get the real thing. But it's still worth I want everyone to get the pro version. (Only if you have the money to do it at the time) But it's really useful! I just wish that if you delete a video and you were editing it that the video wouldn't be there anymore. Otherwise it's great. GET IT

I love this app!

On one of my edits I had been working on it the app crashed. I then tried to get back to the edit but it notified me that the quality would be lowered(but that ok), so I pressed ok then it just crashed again. I turned off my device, and even played on different apps for a little bit to give CC a break. Then I tried again and it crashed. I can work on other edits, but it's this one edit that keeps making the app crash. Please fix this. Overall I love this app!

This is a great editing app! I love how it lets you do your own custom transitions, and paying for the full app was totally worth it. I'm doing this review on the free version though because I bought the pro version through the free one, (if that makes any sense) so yeah.. I use this app to make edits, and when I export it to album it doesn't take that long which I love also! They're a bunch of transitions you can do for free of course and a lot of options. Though I would like it if you added a internet explorer in there so when I make my edits I don't have to get it if the app and go to safari. A lot of people use this app to make edits too, so I think that would be useful for a lot of us.

It works good but I wish it has like a background that I can change and just make everything look so real and good lighting but I thing it's pretty good fora beginner

Its a little hard when you start but I got the hang of it

When I started posting on vine I made horrible edits but this app literally changed everything. It takes some time to get used to everything and figure out how to make more transitions then just the original provided ones but it's worth it. I'm starting to try out AE but I'll always be with cute cut! I definitely recommend this app to people if they're wanting to start editing, i did have to pay for the full version but like I said, it's worth it all the way!!

The only bad thing (which I hope they change) is that I can't add transitions to small cut clips. For an editor that's an important part we need and cute cut I know you can do it!!

overall i love this app. since my laptop broke and i can no longer edit on there, i had to find an app and this one is great. the transitions are smooth but i would like it if it had motion blur to make them look even better.

Do you wish to put plenty of time into a edit that looks very good if it's a funny video or a photoshop where it works completely fine but at the end it suddenly can no longer work? Look no further this app is rolling the dice if it'll do what it is told! If you want to spend 20-30 minutes working on something to have it all be worthless because of a message pops up saying "Extraction failed" while giving you no information what's so ever on why it occurs!

Cute cut is a great editing app. I haven't had many problems, and it would get 5 stars except for one problem. The app has no greenscreen. I think it would be fantastic to have green screen and would add so much. This was a big let down as some basic apps have greenscreen, while this amazing app doesn't. Otherwise, it's very good and works smoothly. Definitely worth a try :)

I do enjoy this app a lot and I even bought the full version! The only problem I have with the app is sometimes when I'm trying to put in transitions it tells me I've used too many so I can't add more. Other than that I recommend this app a lot!

This app is great it's the main app I use for all my edits. That being said I have always had one problem. When I want to speed up certain parts of a video I have to cut the video in half and speed up that part, so it looks like it speeds up out of no where. Wouldn't it be cool to change the speed of a video in a transition from slow to fast without it jumping to it right away? Smooth speed transitions from slow to fast or fast to slow. Million dollar idea, make it happen.

This app is amazing. I used to be famous on vine, and I used this app for all of my vines. Although, lately the app hasn't been working well. I've been recording videos around 3 to 4 minutes long, and the app just refuses to let me edit them. The video just shows up black and when you press play nothing happens. I figured out if you wait about 5 minutes for the video to load, you are able to edit it. But if you then decide to pause it, it goes black again! It's very frustrating and to do the simplest task takes an eternity! And I know that is not my storage because I can see I have plenty left, and even deleted a bunch of my older videos and photos to make sure. Please fix this. other than the fact that this app no longer works, it used to be the best around

UPDATE: I have resolved the issue. App is working perfectly fine now. The problem I was having was I was working with screen recorded videos that were not compatible with the app. All I needed to do was re-save the recordings so they were like normal videos. 5 stars

Unbelievable amazing, 0 bugs, no glitches, and amazing. I've edited tons of things, you can also use 3rd party apps to add you're own sound effects and things, I find this app one of the best apps I've ever used and was definitely worth the buy.

Best video edit app to crop, resize, flip, stitch, add music, transitions, text, mute video, or change speed. Love this app. Wish it had support for the iPhone 7 Plus' 4K because the highest quality is 1080p. I would also love a feature to auto fit videos. For example, I will add a landscape video and want to make it portrait, but I have to resize manually. Another thing I would love to see is filters to improve the style of the edits I make. Still it's a five star app.

I use it for slot of my edits my only issue is with the limited number of transitions 💗

I love using this app! The main thing I'm having problems with is while I'm replaying my video to look for any mistakes, I try to press the pause button but it just won't work! One time I pressed on the button roughly (kind of) and it didn't pause :/

I decided to download the app to do a lyric video, and I had no trouble with the music, or pictures. I thought it was a good app until I found out I could only export 30 seconds of the video, and I'm not going to pay money just to export the full video.

I've been a long-time user of cute cut and about maybe 5 or 6 months ago I paid $6 for the full version. As of about 2 months ago, I upgraded from an iPod to an iPhone and when I went to download cute cut on my phone, I noticed that the version that was on my iCloud was the lite version, and that it still wanted me to pay $6 for cute cut pro. An absolute waste of money. I will never use this app again.

To start off I am a 13 year old editor that has been using this since last year and it has been working amazingly for me, however when I started using it on my ipad for a bigger screen and such that iphones do not have, whenever I make a FX edit (using photos rather than videos) and use custom transitions a lot, it seems to lag quite a bit. I have also tried other editing apps or editing styles to see if this happens, but it only happens to FX videos for some odd reason. You could also add effects (for example blurs or better coloring tools) and better ways to have your own customized custom transitions. Other than that it works quite well, and I plan to use it for years to come.

So I'm someone who needs a good editing software in the future of YT but right now I make those YT edits and this is the best app I've ever seen! I've used this for all of my edits! But I do want to asked for

-more transitions. If you see other softwares have like the spin in from left and spin in from right etc. some have the flipping of the picture and have the vibration on for beats. Just an idea

I don't have much problems of the app and I seen others having problems. I believe it their phone because the app is very well ran but there might be bugs on different devices. The only bug I've seen is when I cut into a video with the same transition say the "shrink in" it will change how face and slow it is even if I'm just trying to get those flashes. You know what I mean. It's hard to put into words.

I do use this app a lot and if anyone needs help I can try my best to help that person but other than that.

This is by far the best editing app I've ever had on my phone and once I get a new computer I want to see how well this app can go on a computer

So I'm an iPhone editor who post(ed) on vine/instagram and have tried out many editing apps. I started out with iMovie and was happy with my edits but there was one problem: I couldn't do any custom transitions, text, or use multiple pictures/tracks at once. So I looked for apps that would let me. One of the first I tried were video star, which I quickly realized was pay to use. But on this app I can easily edit videos and don't have to pay the tens of dollar you need for video star. Cc offers multitrack editing, coloring for videos and photos, it supports gifs, and you can make custom transitions.

When you have a long video with many clips the video lags and doesn't render until you export it into your camera roll, but that is completely understandable.

I only have one HUGE problem. If a clip is under about half a second long you cannot add transitions. As someone who edits to fast music I have lots of very short clips I must edit, but it becomes a hassle having to lengthen out the clips then trim them back down again. So if possible do you think you could make it so we can add transitions to shorter clips?

this app is awful. I am 13 years old and I wanted to get this to put songs together for a talent show. It worked perfectly until I went to save it. I had about a minute and 30 seconds worth of video on it and it says "Buy Pro or it will only save 30 sec." Normally, I do not spend my money on things like this, but I really wanted this for my talent show act. I spent $5.99 on this app so it would download. Keep in mind I am 13 and $6 is barely what I have in my allowance. So i spend my $5.99 and the app quits working all together! I have been ripped off. Then it tells me to leave a good review. I won't leave a review, I'll leave a tip. DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH. It messed my whole phone up and it's trying to get me to download an update I already have. I'm so angry right now. Take my advice and do NOT buy or waste time.

This app is really pretty good. I'm just starting to edit and make stuff on there, but it's an overall pretty easy app to work with. I do wish it would get a cleaner look to it, and maybe be organized a little different, but it's pretty nice for a free app. Also it would be super helpful for there to be more information on where items are to edit and even how to put in clips because I spent forever just trying to download songs and clips to put in :). The app is really good though, and I could do without the watermark but I don't want to pay money :P.

GREEN SCREEN! I have a lot of green screen items that I would love to use!

I downloaded this app to make a tutorial. First of all, i had to jump through hoops to get music into it.

Second, I spent 3 hours editing this video. Parts of my video vanished, but I just kept going with it. But when it came down to exporting, it wouldn't allow me to export because it will only export 30 SECOND videos in the free version. So, I upgraded to the "Pro" version. Immediately, the watermark disappeared from the video. But I still had problems exporting. No matter what option or quality I chose for exporting, it would say "Export Failed."

So, I deleted lots of pictures and videos, even all the music from my phone to be able to export it, and apparently accidentally deleted the two videos I used to make this edited one. So when I went back to the app, it said it "couldn't find" my videos, so the edited video couldn't be played. And I had already deleted my recently deleted to make space. You'd think since the edited video is "saved" in the app, I wouldn't have that problem. So, all in all, I wasted a huge chunk of my day and $6. Not happy at all.

This app is awesome. Like many it's not perfect, however DO NOT listen to the people claiming exporting issues and the app taking their money. They either are out of storage space on their phone or they don't know how to renew purchases. The only bug I've ever seen is when you have chopped up a clip into many tiny pieces then the audio will get screwy & when watching the video in the app it won't be smooth. However if you export it and watch it, it's perfectly fine.

This app is the best editing app you can possibly buy.

firstly i'd like to say that i am an amateur editor that uses this for school projects and for my own fun. i make anime music videos using cute cut, and i have to say that it's an absolutely FANTASTIC editor! five stars hands down. it's a little hard to get the hang of at first and it glitches quite a bit, but honestly i love it. very little could make it better off the top of my head.

suggestions:

-we're only allowed to have two video rows with an unlimited amount of everything else. it would be helpful if we could have more than two video rows.

Hey I've been using cute cut for a while now and I have a couple of suggestions that will make it more accessible to other effects.

-Different colored shadows

This will add a new dimension to it that I believe I'll use a lot

-text arrangement

So you can space out the letters however you want and can bend the whole phrase!

-this one might be a little bit difficult to pull, but adding this type of angle feature where you see the pictures by a certain angle, creating a type of 3D effect.

-More transitions

I can't thank enough how good these transitions are! But adding some transitions like a flip will be nice.

-this one happens almost ALL the time!

When I mute a video and add my own music to it, there's always this short noise, or part of the video's noise that plays here and there.

I would really like this to get fixed.

-then there is this other one that I'm not sure happens when I have a full library our not, but sometimes when I click on the movie I wanna edit with, you can't see any of the parts and it's black. Refreshing the app easily fixes this though.

But anyways I really hope you take one or more of these recommendations!

Before I start, I want to say that I am the video editor for Sailor's Boy Productions. I just want to say that to add to my credibility, so you know I'm not just some amateur who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Ok, so to start off, this is the first (and only) app That I have found to have multitrack video arrangement capabilities. Overall it is a fantastic app, even if there are some things that could be improved.

A couple things that would be awesome if they added in the future: Chromakey. This would be awesome since you can arrange and animate different tracks. It would be crazy useful!

The other thing they should add is support for changing aspect ratios to movie-style widescreen. (2.35:1 and/or 2.39:1) which are standard aspect ratios.

The last thing, off the top of my head, is adding waveform view in the tracks. Kind of like iMovie, where they have a waveform view while you're editing so you can use dual-system audio syncing in-app. That would be fantastic! It would also be helpful to have a small waveform on the bottom of the video track.

I believe this could be the BEST video editing software on the App Store! I love having controls over exposure, color, and such (I can't believe I can color-grade in the same app that does all those other things!)!

This is BY FAR the best editor available on the App Store! It has features that anyone even halfway serious about editing will need. You will need to learn the app but once you do you will not look back at any other editor you've ever used on your iPhone!

I usually use my PC to edit my videos with Sony Vegas Pro, but when I'm not at home, it's nice to know I have an in phone option! I bought the upgrade the second I realized the ability this app has, and I HIGHLY recommend anyone that is serious about editing their videos get this!

I started a vlog channel, about a year ago, and was looking for an editor on the App Store to download when I happened upon this. Splice and iMovie are good, but by God, this editor blows those 2 out of the water. On the surface, it's a simple editor that just happens to be multi-track, but the more you use this editor, and the more you explore it, the better it is and you begin to get an idea of how strong it actually is. After a year of using this (though not daily, I've used it very often, 2-3 hours per video), I am still finding out things that the editor can do. I actually ended up buying another friend of mine this, the other week, because I didn't want him to resort to Splice. Don't get me wrong, that editor is also good, and it's great for people just starting out, but this blows all of the other editors in the App Store out of the water.

Whether you are starting out or have been editing for a while, I highly recommend this editor without hesitation. The only feature I wish it has is a chroma-key feature, but I will not be surprised if it is added in a future update. I give this app 5/5 stars because of it's amazing performance, never-failing power, and plentiful tools to get the job done! I will continue to use this editor for many projects and vlogs to come!

Having battled against iMovie in a number of ways, I was pleased to find this app which allows fairly intuitive editing but also an additional number of features providing more freedom. I particularly like being able to lay in a narration track and then synch video clips to certain parts of the timeline. Deleting an in between clip doesn't shift all other visual clips down like in iMovie. Subsequent clips retain their position. Very handy. I also like being able to scale and position clips freely in the canvas. The only oddity that took some getting used to was that the tracks appearing further down in the app editor are actually "higher" layers in the composition. (That's opposite of how most apps do it.) Overall, the pro version of this was worth my money. It gets the job done and has never crashed once yet.

I have been using this for the past few months and it works well. I have found little things in it that I use to my advantage to create my own effects. I would suggest that there are more interesting transitions. I would also be quite interested in seeing some effects in the app too. I do however love this app and have been playing around with it and experimenting with new methods to create more cartoonish animations. Also little side note here, that Lucas's Hemmings guy a bit below this review saying this quote "anytime i go to save my video in 1080hp[like ya some game. It's 1080P not hp] the app crashes in the middle of saving and then when i open it to try again a thing pops up saying that i have low memory and will reduce the quality, please fix" it's not the app's fault... Honestly I think he is some 9 year old since he said 1080hp and doesn't realize that it's saying that because his phone, tablet, etc… has almost no memory. Do not "please read" his argument, because it basically shows no problems at all with the app. Only with his device's memory.

This is my go-to video editor app every time I need to edit a video. It's really easy to use and it doesn't have a boring and sad grey background like most video editing software. Only, when I add a few short video clips it starts to get super slow and it's really hard to edit:(

Sometimes I film upside down accidentally and I need to flip or turn the video sideways, Cute Cut has that, except it's really hard because you have to turn it yourself and compare it to the side where it's straight to make sure it's perfectly straight. And because it's astonishingly slow sometimes, it's practically impossible to do it. Also when you move around and try to edit the video, it's so slow... And it takes much longer to edit a 5 minute video (6 hours) than it should.

But some of the time, this editing software is amazing and it's on my top list of video editors. :)

I really love this app and I find it so easy to use and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an app to edit videos on the go. Though I do have a couple nitpicks about it. For one the transitions have this weird effect that has it slow in the beginning, fastest in its middle, and slow at the end again. This just looks really weird and I'd like to have an option to either remove it or be able to edit the speed at which it goes. Another thing is that when applying photos to a video, trying to make it really small is hard so it would be nice to have a zoom in function. Again just nitpicks but an amazing app overall

yes, this app has great things to edit with, I will admit, but i think it's more of a bug/virus than it is an app. here is a list of all the problems that my friends and i have been experiencing frequently.

-non stop glitching from the time you open the app to the time you close it

-it traps you in the app most of the time(meaning you cannot get out pressing the home button or the power button or anything like that so it makes you force restart your device)

-even when you have more than enough space to save your project, it says you don't have enough storage

-if you work on something for a while it will say "operation stopped" when you try to save it and you can no longer save your project

-it doesn't only make the app itself glitchy/laggy... it makes your entire device like that. apps won't open correctly, siri will go on by itself, apps will open and close by themselves, etc. before you say "that isn't cute cut's fault!" then please explain how my iPad worked amazing before I downloaded the app and as soon as i downloaded it, all these things started happening. and as soon as I deleted the app, my iPad was as good as new again.

-sometimes when it crashes, it shows bright flashing images and then restarts your device

it used to be my favorite app but now it's just plain awful. I really hope these problems get fixed soon.

Now....I'm a video editor and this app I highly recommend. I was IN LOVE with apples phone version of "i Movie" but then I found my self using this app a lot more. It's very easy and simple and quick. Works well. I always use it for slide shows and movies I edit. Or gymnastics videos of my daughter. When you first download it....you have to give a few try's before fully understanding it..... And you can't save it to your camera roll unless 30 sec and under. But GET THE PRO VERSION!!! I did it and am so happy!! The pro version includes no watermarks, video as long as you want and more!!

I showed this app to all my friends and they all use it and love it;) This app does crash like 2x a month, which doesn't bother me at all. Love, love, LOVE IT!! Highly recommend!!

The other people that are telling you not to download this app are stupid. This app is amazing, but today, January 3rd, it started to constantly crash again, laike before the last update. If this could be fixed it would be restored to its perfect old self, and there is nothing else that could be improved because it is such a perfect editing software. I'm a video editor on vine and I use this app for all of my edits, and I've had no problems in the past (besides crashing in the last update), so I highly reccomend this app to any amateur editor who doesnmt have a computer to make whatever it is you plan on making. I would give this 5 stars, but because of the occasional crashes it honestly doesn't deserve it until thats fixed, because the app is useless for now.

I love this app! Its amazing and really easy to use! But, I have one suggestion for it. So, you can put music in the background, but you can only use their music, music on your device, or music transferred to the app from iTunes File Sharing. Now, there's some songs I'd like to use that I don't have enough storage on my iPad to download, and I can't use iTunes File Sharing because I don't have an Apple computer. So maybe you could be able to search music to use from within the app. Other than that, this app is great! ^.^

So I'm a video editor and I wanted a reliable app with cool features and for awhile that's what this app was. Due to some problems I had recently I had started to think differently. Some of the videos I had made on this app had deleted from the app almost immediately after I exit the video. Another one of the big problems I have had is crashing. When I read the rest of these reviews it seems I am not the only one with this issue. Restarting your device does not fix the crashing problem. Neither does deleting the app and re-downloading it. I am very disappointed that this app had failed because I was looking forward to making plenty of videos on it. I would not recommend getting this app.

I love using this app to make edits and such but lately it will crash on me and it's super annoying. Something else is while the video is playing it will get stuck on a certain clip and no matter what I do it stays on the clip and cuts out the clip after it. Also I would love to get the watermark removed since it's pretty irritating. But six dollars? Really? That's way too much to get the watermark removed. Now something smart would be to get watermark removed for a dollar and then you could pay a different amount of money too get unlimited movie time. And lastly some new transitions would be nice. Thank you.

Although i love this app a lot, there are quite a few problems. One of my biggest problem is that when you get a clip and bring it down to no volume, it will still have its volume and sometimes its annoying because it gets in the way of the audio i want to use. Also sometimes there will be a small unwanted clip in a video and to take that out i would have to restart the whole thing again:/ and like someone said before, i think you should be able to remove the watermark for at least 1.99 bc it gets annoying sometimes and i cant fully be able to show some things i wanna show... Also i would like it if there was some transitions and like there are different fonts but im not really bothered by that lol... But overall its a good app

I updated to pro because I don't want the watermark on my videos, so I paid the $6. I make vines so I only need a 6 second video anyways, but the app started crashing every time I clicked into the project. It said that there wasn't enough memory and that it's going to downgrade the quality, which I hate. I agreed to it because it doesn't give a choice and it continued to crash anyways! Before I even touch anything it crashes! I only had around 2 minutes of video in it too. I can't delete any clips because it freezes and crashes before I can. I tried quitting it and shutting off my phone but nothing worked. I'm extremely frustrated because this app had so much potential. I don't mind paying money for an app that works, but if it doesn't, then it's just a waste. Give me my money back or let me make my videos. I don't care which one.

Ok, so I use this app to make video edits for vine and Instagram. It worked really well for the first few, but there is one flaw that is really super annoying. Since I usually put one video just on audio and one video for clips and I turn the sound off on the video that I use just for clips. It always ends up that even if I set the clips for no sound...1 clip still has sound and it ruins the whole edit, I've tried everything to turn the sound off on this clip and nothing is working, please fix this...otherwise it is an amazing app!

(Adding this on .... Also there is an annoying clicking or grinding sound between clips sometimes...pleaseeee fix this because this is the main app I use for edits)

I will cut out clips from different videos and the scenes can be as little as .2 seconds of screen time. If your wondering why it's to match with the music. The problem is when I cut the clips down it adds up to 6 seconds of different clips. When I do this the app try's to allow me to view each frame when I scroll [ I want it too]. The app will then freeze and automatically exit out of the app. When I go back to the project it gives me an excuse like( Cute cut froze. We will lower the quality of the video to compensate for this.) Then I leave the screen alone for 3 seconds and it freezes again! Same thing over and over. I didn't pay $5.00 for this bug to always affect my work!

I have used this app a lot to make edits and I've been really happy with it but recently when I've tried to make edits, I turn the sound off of certain clips and the sound will still play. Its really annoying and it messes up the whole edit. Also I've never had a problem with it before, but I make sure I perfectly align the clips so there's no black space in the transition but now there always is. When I play the edit in between every clip there is a black flash and it makes it look really messy. If you could please fix these problems that would be great.

I don't like the watermark, and I want to purchase the full version, but it's too expensive. I think the developers should consider adding a second package option for those of us who only want the watermark gone but don't care much about the videos being longer, and it should be around 1.99 like all the other editing apps. You should have an option to simply remove the watermark for 1.99, or remove the watermark AND extend video length for 5.99. I feel you would make much more business that way, seeing as this is the best app I've found for meshing videos together and incorporating audio into it afterwards. Wonderful app, but it's just too much money. If you take my recommendation into consideration when the next update is getting ready to come out, and you all end up actually going through with what I have suggested, I will recommend this app to everyone I know! I give it 3 stars since it's a good functioning app but it has a ridiculous price.

I use this app to make videos for Instagram, and its the only one that lets me choose the border color, lets me choose a song (and at what point the song starts), lets me trim clips, and lets me incorporate pictures. I used to use Splice, and it was fine except it would always force close or freeze. This has much more features overall. The only downfall is that you have to pay to get the watermark removed, but this app is so great, I don't even mind it. This is one of the most advanced video editing apps I have seen and it's FREE. Can't beat that!

4 1/2 I think it's great for anyone to use. It's a little hard to figure out everything but once you've got it, it's super easy to use and it's super quick. It barely has problems just sometimes it glitches and you might have to fix your video a little bit again. Another thing is that I can't seem to get my music to Download to the video, like when I select it, it doesn't work or won't let me use it. So please some how fix that... Other wise I recommend it! I haven't saved It to my camera tool yet but I have heard that some people have problems with saving it to their camera roll.

I love this app a whole lot. I've been using it for a very long time and I know how to do a lot of things on this app and it's just amazing, brilliant. I upgraded to Pro so I can save my movies longer than 30 seconds , but when I click save, the loading bar will pop up but It will NEVER save. the blue in the bar doesn't show up, I legit sat by my phone for an HOUR and not even a bit of blue showed up in the bar. Please fix this :( It's the best editing app I own, and it'd be even more convenient !❤️😊

I love this app and it is exactly what I needed! The only thing I am not happy with is when your trying to do a voice over in your video the video is skipping and not playing right while your trying to record the voice over so you don't know exactly where your at in the video while recording the voice over. Also! You guys need to do a app update! I tried to send a video I edited to my email and it sent but there was no content in my email!!! And I deleted the video so I could have more space and now it's gone!!! You need to fix that!!!!!

At first I had got the free cute cut and I was using it non-stop it was such a great way and free way I could make movies but when I saw that you could remove the water-mark and make longer movies I was thrilled so I upgrade my app for a crazy 5.99$!!! But soon after I could no longer save my movies to my phone due to "not enough space" or "downloading error" so I was VERY upset so I deleted the app to see if re-downloading it would fix the problem... It didn't. I ended up not having the upgrades when I downloaded it again which was stupid so I AGAIN spent $5.99!! On the other cute cut app which you download Separately from the free one. I finally got it to work perfectly again!!:) so if you want the upgrades DOWNLOAD THE OTHER APP!!!!

So after reading more than 65 reviews I must first ask.. How can this app have 4 stars??? Over and over I have read how this app constantly crashes!! Over and over how people have wasted 4 to 8 hours editing only to have this app crash and or wipe out there video all together !!! The same goes for the so called " upgraded" version ?? This app gives the appearance of doing many cool things but at the end of the day it does not work! I can understand the occasional problem but 90% of the people using this say it constantly crashes! That means it does not work. If I buy a Ferrari and it only drives in circles it's not a cool car! I feel users are really liking what this app is claiming to offer thus giving it 4 or 5 stars in hopes of an upgrade to the crashing problem but, in the end it's not delivering and 30 seconds max of video is pretty lame IMHO . It May sound like I'm hating on these guys but, I just really hate people getting fooled!

I absolutely LOVE this app, it works great, it's everything I need. However, this problem happened to me 3 times!! 👉 I have the pro upgrade (so you can save the video as long as you want) and when I'm pressing "export to album", it starts to load then stops loading to the point where my ipad turns off. When I go to turn it back on, it says "loading error" and tottaly wipes out all of the videos and pictures that I have worked SO incredibly hard on and just disappear, and you can't get them back. I like this app, but if this happends again I am going to tell everyone not to get this app, and I will never get this app again. Please please please make an upgrade or change where it DOESNT do that, I don't want anyone to have to go throughout that it's very disappointing. Thank you so much, please consider this!!

Better than imovie, better than pinnacle, better than anything else on the App Store. My favorite video editing app by far and probably will remain that way for a good long time to come. To the developers, I say this: thank you for quite simply making the best video editing app to ever land on the store. The features this has are unrivaled; the demos are great, and it runs very smooth on my aging iPad 2. Love it to the moon and back :) the full version is one of the few in app purchases that I cannot hang my head in shame for when looked back upon months later. Keep the updates rolling :)

This is a pretty good app ,it lets you add audio/music from iTunes but I wish we could get music from other places such as mp3 downloader apps for those of us who don't use iTunes. Also I would like it if it had filters and some more editing options. But with this app you can change the background of your video ,cut your video ,add text and post it to Instagram. It's pretty good and useful but I would like to see more improvements added and also at times it doesn't let you save your video it says "storage full" when it isn't

ALL I WANTED was an app that I could use to make an animatic with. One that I could put a song in the background, pictures anywhere in the timeline without having to build the video layer chronologically. I had given up hope of getting an app that I could have a layer I could use to draw stuff (you know, like building an animatic, right?)

This app did all of that, and it's extremely easy to use.

I'm writin this hardly three minutes after using the darn thing, so hopefully there isn't some huge bug to destroy my experience, but unless that's the case, this is a pretty strong app, and an immediate favorite.

This app is awesome and is a very basic video editor, but it does allow overlays of text, audio, pictures and more. I don't know what the other reviewer was looking at, but It does allows you to trim and fade the original video audio in order to insert another audio track on top. I do wish there were some filters, but I can't expect everything in one app. Overall, this is impressive, but in order for it to be useful, you have to pay $6 if you want to export anything more than 30ses. After using it for an hour, I decided I will be purchasing because it's something I will def. use.

I am a YouTuber and I was looking for an app that could do photo/video in photo/video, and this app does it! If you are making videos on mobile, or partly mobile, and need photo/video in photo/video, than this app will help you alot!

This app exceeds at all of its other features as well, especially with the transitions. I would recommend buying the full version, if you can, because there is no water mark. (I don't know if anything else is added). Thank you for reading and enjoy this app!!!

This is the first review of my app I've posted. Cute cut certainly deserves it. It is a testament to the high level products that can be produced for the iPhone/iPad. This is certainly by far, the best video editor for the iPhone and arguably, the best amateur video on any platform. The ability to use layers, custom transitions, picture in picture, fade sound, custom drawing, etc. is truly astounding. This is how iMovie originally worked, no dumbing down. It gives you the power to make movies the way you want to make them. All if this, and fast as well. You can view your edits in real time, without having to render them first. Final rendering is done reasonably fast( essentially in real time, one minute of video requires one minute for rendering. For those who complain about the cost all I can say is, "really?" Five dollars for an editor that's more powerful than iMovie? You've got to be kidding me. Combine this with vintagio, luma and eight millimeter camera an you've got a truly amazing video editing experience in the palm of your hand. Bravo!

First off, I'm a pro desktop film maker, and even I can say Cute Cut is awesome. I just wrote a full review for the paid version. As of now, it hasn't posted yet, but I'll keep this brief: Cute Cut offers way more features than iMovie, takes up FAR less storage and costs a fraction of Avid Pinnacle. Cute Cut is in the realm of a desktop video editor, with multi video layers, custom graphics and transparencies, Anyone who thinks they deserve full features like this for free, without watermarks, is insane. It runs perfectly on iPad mini and sharing options couldn't be easier. Buy the full version if you want to be more serious about film making than with iMovie.

This app is fabulous! Lots of capability, when you actually take some time to work with this app! One of the best features of this app, and a MAJOR difference between it and iMovie, is that you are able to lay down 2 videos at the same time along with multiple audio,etc....So....cutting from one video to the next is seamless! Or, if you want transparency between the two video tracks, it is easily achieved! I spent a whopping $2 or $3 on this app, and I am making movies that are blowing the socks off of my colleagues and friends....better than spending a boatload on FinalCut Pro, don't you think? Realistically, the free version of the app will get you a quick practice....just spend the money for the full version and take the time practicing until you have mastered intricate details....I would like to know, and wish they would post the differences between the "pay for it" version and the Pro Version. It's my feeling that folks who have already purchased, should only have to pay an "upgrade" fee and not the full amount to go "pro"!

I bought this app so that I can make informal business videos on my iPad. I want to be able to do the whole thing myself and wind up with reasonably professional results without spending hours editing. Cute CUT completely fulfills my need. I have completed 7 short videos this week. I had to redo the first 2 - so that can be considered the learning curve.

IMO this app works perfectly for my needs. It has the basic features I need and is not cluttered up a lot of complicated confusing features the professionals need.

I am very satisfied, and - best of all - Cute CUT has become just another tool in the toolbox. When I need it I can pick it up and use. Works right every time and I can focus on the content not the editing.

This app rocks. I've been using iMovie and Pinnacle Studio to edit videos for the past couple of months, but was disappointed with both of them. Then I stumbled upon Cute Cut a few days ago, and I'm blown away by the features it offers, while remaining very easy to use. If you don't have any background in video production, you may not recognize or fully appreciate all the capabilities this app offers; but the developers have definitely set a new bar for others to try and catch up to (especially at this price - $4 is a bargain).

For starters my reason for giving this application 5 stars is because I think it's average rating is being brought down by people who do not understand how useful this app truly is. For this current version I would say it is at the 4 star level but with updates could easily be a 5 star app. Here's the thing, these are the only people I have found who are making an app that gives the user this much control. Yes there is a small handful of things I am sure everybody would like to see added. But what app starts off perfect right out the gate? Look how far pCam has come since it was first released.

After reading some of the reviewers responses it became clear to me that they did not know how to properly use this app. A kid in the 5th grade could easily use this to edit a video for their grandma. I had bought iMovie thinking it would be something like the computer version. Those of you who downloaded that app know that was not the case. This app, Cute Cut is everything I thought iMovie would be. If you are a indie/professional filmmaker or a film enthusiast this app is for you.
