Each hero class has access to about 20 abilities (skills or spells), and each of your three companions has four more. The game starts simple, but culminates in a flurry of tactical possibilities at high levels.
Once your hero reaches level 70, your experience points go into Champion Levels, which are unlimited and yield steady stat upgrades. Champion Levels are also inherited by your new heroes, so they will have an easier time growing up.
Aside from the four story acts, an endless progression of beautiful, randomly generated levels awaits in the Trials of Valor game mode.

Great game but it feels like it needs to have a enemy catalog that talks about the moves, strength, and also maybe art of the enemy which will be cool but I get the work so maybe a 3D model the goes 360. Super cool game I beat
When it first came out. Fast forward and I find myself missing it. There’s been updates, so I can’t wait to see the new changes.
If anyone doesn’t get the devs are nodding, aka making fun of pc gaming. World of Warcraft when it was about that life. Nostalgia. I miss the old WoW days. But, I can revisit this one and see the fun in that too. Killing monsters, leveling, probably the best mmorpg game out there…and still can’t find any fun ones. The pass is new, so idk how great it is yet compared to other pass mobiles I play. I might update to let u all know

Please add more characters and content like levels and I’m going to buy what I can through out. This game is sitting on a goldmine of potential buddy. It’s like a mix of Diablo and Lionheart. Basically all the most memorable games in history. Might I suggest selling some niche characters with new abilities never seen before. Other than that your on the brink of greatness. Also check out Lionheart on PC. In that game I loved how they integrated characters from different time periods to tell stories about them like Davinci, Shakespeare and Galileo. You could put a spin like that. Lionheart is so old I’m sure they wouldn’t mind 😉

Painful (literally) mobile gaming experience
When the game itself is a 4-star, the way devs forcing you to draw signs repeatedly to cast skills is a painful painful experience for your wrist and fingers. There are no negation dials and no buttons to press. All actions require you to constantly drag your finger on the screen and on top of the mobs. Stay away from this game until the devs understand how action RPG is supposed to be played. Their stubbornness or inabilities to listen to players’ top complaints on controlling issue is unparalleled. This game is over 6 yrs old and they just do not care. Your wrist and hand health is way more important than playing this game. It is not worth it.

About a week ago regarding this update. And it’s new season pass. To even get rewards even more you have to complete challenges which is completely unfair and unbalanced. But oh well, right give me a link to your forum, which I already follow as a response. And what about the not being able to put the game on high graphics, or medium. Because there’s severe glitches with the terrain. And your teams response is a link to your site to a tip guided tutorial… this is a 5+ year old game the ones are supporting it or the very few that loved this game and try to still do. Are treated like this. And u up the progressive level and expect people to give you money? For your new game iv watched the devs YouTube even watched there last update. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND this game to anyone. It’s a dead games with devs. Only updating a spirit stone after 5+ years.

Fun Offline Game
This a great little game to be able to play when traveling on a plane or car. Love the old RPG style and the fact you can play without ad interruptions or have to buy stuff to progress. The option is there to buy the cool stuff and make the game playing easier. Really happy with this game so far.

A Rare Gem
All the nostalgia of old Diablo-style game with the pick-up and play ease of a mobile game. No annoying adds to distract from the gameplay either. A wonderful gaming experience whether you have hours to indulge or only have 5 minutes to kill!

Not the same as when it first came out
This game used to be awesome years ago. They were true to their word about old school free play. Gems were given at a good pace. The drop rates of crafting supplies was abundant enough to craft gear. Then it changed. And it changed bad. Higher level Crafting supplies dried up like the Sahara desert and all the good stuff came from chests that needed gems to open. It Became impossible to farm supplies. The fun was sucked out. I quit for awhile and then came back to see if they rebalanced the game, but No, now it’s a complete pay to play. The paid bots giving good reviews are a cheap way to boost the appearance, that’s lame. For how much I loved this game it the early days, it’s disappointing to see how so many games reel you in, then change how the game is played. Nearly every game is pay to play now. Eternium is just like the rest of the bunch. Pay pay pay.

Game is fun but Arena is broken
The game itself is awesome. Plenty of things to do such as quests and crafting but the glaring issue currently is the PVP aspect of the arena. I’m not sure if there was balancing issues in the past but the class Warrior is completely broken. I am a Mage and I currently have about 180k damage, 130k toughness (Life) and around 35k recovery. I’m level 70 (level 80 champion) and cannot for the life of me beat a single Warrior in the arena. And for the record it’s not like I’m choosing Warriors that are also level 70. These players are based on a point system so I always choose the one I believe I can beat. Even a level 31 with 4K damage, 21k toughness and 2k recovery is beating my brains in with me even being able to touch them. If I could recommend maybe an armor penetration stat or just nerf them that would be great!

Unlike the cash grab match three base building clones
This is a legit RPG with a story, and leveling, and abilities, and gear, etc. it’s beautiful graphically and clever in a lot of ways. It’s absolutely free to play — you can even get the premium currency “gems” just by playing — and as of 2024 there are not even any ads.
The downsides are that it’s really repetitive and even though it’s addictive in its own way, there isn’t much reason to keep going after you’ve beaten the campaign on normal — it’s just more of the same. There are daily quests that reward you with gems but they are a typical RPG grindfest. The “PVP” arena is actually you challenging an AI controlled player character that you will find unbeatable if they are geared even close to you, because the AI doesn’t make mistakes and worse, can stand off the screen and hit you while you can’t advance towards the enemy and hit them. PVP really is the biggest disappointment. You can also get stuck in places on some maps, and I don’t like how it can be impossible to move your character while in combat.
But for an Indy mobile game that costs nothing, it’s well worth playing and giving 5 stars.

Fun, Well Made, But Grindy.
The game itself is quite stunning and runs pretty effortlessly even on low end devices. The features are plentiful and gameplay is easy to pick up and go whenever. The interface is wonderfully well made, and the abilities are balanced to fit together in clever combinations.
I’m an especially big fan of the cross-platform between mobile and steam. It makes it easy to play where I want, how I want.
That being said, while the game is great and really quite fun, a lot of features are locked behind a soft pay-wall. The premium currency, gems (go figure 😭), are one of the primary sources of income for the game.
Lots of vital features for gameplay (like companion slots, ability slots and cooldown timers) require the use of gems. HOWEVER, fret not, these gems can be obtained completely free through challenges/achievements, replaying levels, and just generally defeating enemies.
It’s totally feasible to play the game without spending a dime, you just have to be willing to put in the time to gather gems (a deal breaker for some).
(Also, I should note that I was paid 50 gems to write this review. HOWEVER, I was not forced to give the rating I did. This is just my honest opinion on the game lol.)

Good Overall
The first review I saw (from May) called this a pay to play game, to which I disagree. Although I’ve just started, I’ve been looking for a game I could binge and this has been perfect. Like most games there’s promotion of in-app purchases but I haven’t paid a cent and have been enjoying myself. Going back to the review, they had mentioned that they needed gems, but I have yet to run into any issues with needing more than I have earned by playing the levels and doing the quests. They were correct about earning gems to write a review; to which I will say, it doesn’t hurt to have a bit extra, especially because I’m going to continue playing. I’ll be back if anything changes :)

Gets old quick!
This game is very fun in the beginning, but gets old after a few weeks. Not worth spending money on, due to game issues. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: - graphics are good and remind me of Diablo - has potential to be a really good game Cons: - gameplay controls makes it hard to cast spells on monsters at the edge or just out of screen view. - no other gameplay controls like being able to just tap a button to cast a spell or use a potion/Apple. - game crashes a lot! - some boss level mobs are ridiculously more difficult then previous levels (which makes it obvious they are trying to force you to spend money) - lack of tech support - I started an event and at the end my character was deleted. I even had an available slot for another character, but it was deleted anyway

Responsive Developer
Game has been improved with some added levels with scrolls. Allows for backstory telling to make it have more substance. That is appreciated. The artwork is sumptuous and reminds me of HR Giger artistry.
Can get a bit repetitive in grinding for gear and tweaking hero attributes, but that has been the game until recent story board additions. A mission based direction to possibly struggle against a twisted but purposeful evil dominating and perhaps taking back planets might mask repetitiveness...further enhanced half a page story telling at least has promise and should be quite easy to script and feed into repeat visits to same location. Struggle against tougher minions and reactive defenses matched to hero’s leveling up, makes a dungeon crawling type game more interesting.
Arena matches can be lopsided with some players who luck out getting hyper powerful gear or trinkets making it less skill of combat and more luck of stumbling on optimizing trinkets. Such battles can be over in 15 seconds which suggests that player and/or AI bot balancing needs some work.

I Can’t Believe It: A F2P That’s Actually Awesome
TL;DR: great F2P Diablo-RPG, devs actually care, available on Steam too!
It’s an actual RPG dungeon crawler that’s super fun. The devs really seem to actually care about your time and the craft of game development. This has been one of the few times I really want to give my money to an app when I can. Collecting the preem currency is easy enough and the prices for upgrading your character are in my opinion save for a few slots. Honestly though, for a F2P RPG, just giving them 5 bucks a month (10 less than WoW) nets you 500 gems which is plenty to get you going. Try it out! And they just ported it to Steam! Try it and download it on your PC and get some free stuff for getting it on there too.

Great game…
I’d love to give this game 5 stars and I will. It’s amazingly addictive and I’ve only spent $0.99 in the 2 days I’ve played it and that was basically to make sure there were no ads. I’ve made it through 2 of the 4 campaign maps already and have almost maxed them for gems already on normal. Not sure what else there is but I’m definitely going to keep going. I’ll admit, I’ve played constantly for the past couple days and it would probably take a couple weeks to get to this point with normal, random gaming but like I said it’s addicting. My frustrations with this game are getting stuck in random spots and having the game crash on me after I’ve used an arena ticket to search for an opponent(PVP). Getting stuck can take some time to get out but sometimes you have port back to town or reset. For the arena, I’ve crashed after using a ticket to search for an opponent and I don’t get that ticket back. Those are little things that make me not want to give this game 5 stars but since it’s a free to play game they are able to be overlooked to certain extent. We’ll see how things continue with the game but for now it’s been a great game and the dialogue and voice acting are fun.

Renewed my faith in mobile games
I haven’t played any app games consistently since the old Clash of Clans days. After getting tired of being sucked into time/waiting based games I decided to stop wasting time on apps. I only came back to download Wild Rift, but I saw an ad for Eternium claiming “we’re not evil” and so I downloaded this so I could play it a rip them a new one for pretending this isn’t just another pay to win game.
I was so wrong. This game is awesome. No time based mechanics, you can play forever if you want. The loot is easy to understand but so diverse and complex that you truly get to craft everything about your character. The dungeons are so unique and never repetitive. I thought I would just kill bad guys, but you navigate mazes, collect resources, farm baddies, kill bosses etc.
I never played Diablo, so this game has felt like a whole new experience, and I can honestly say I haven’t had this much fun playing a mobile game in almost a decade. I felt FORCED to leave a review because this game is so good it stood out from the rest and I truly believe it deserves more recognition than it has right now.
10/10 would download again

A ridiculous amount of old school fun
As an old school Diablo gamer this game has found a special place in my heart. There have been a number of games that have tried to get the dungeon crawler formula right, but Eternium hits every sweet spot! The maps are just the right size for mobile gaming, clearable fairly quickly so it’s good on the move, but it also gives you a nice sense of exploration.
The abilities are well balanced and feel like they really change how the characters are played. Different bosses even encourage changing your abilities and tactics to deal with them instead of one “killer build”.
The crafting system is well fleshed out, once you understand how the various mats work and where they come from it’s pretty easy to pick up, but deep enough to keep the grind going.
One of the best things I can say about this game is that the developers seem to have hit the sweet spot between free and paid content. They don’t charge an arm and a leg for “gems” (standard in-game currency) and give you plenty of chances to earn them with generous daily quests. It’s an understated thing, but it makes the game EXPONENTIALLY more enjoyable.
Overall I have lost a good bit of time playing “just one more map” and have been loving every minute of it. Do yourself a favor, download it and try it for yourself, you won’t be sorry!!!

Some things I don’t like that need to be changed
I like this game, it has loads of potential, given the amount of downloads that it has. But, there’s some things that should be changed and added. First is the movement controls. I am a big fan of rpg games that are playable while offline. When I first downloaded this game, the first thing I noticed was the movement controls were way different than your average rpg game. You have to tap where you want to move, and I absolutely hate those styles of controls. There should be an on-screen analog stick for movement, that would be easier. Second, is the auto aim/attack controls. Is this supposed to be an “Idle” game? I hate those kinds of games. Like, I want to be involved in the action and not be restricted from it like that. There should be attack and skill buttons, so that the game’s more playable and interesting. To be honest, I prefer the regular controls and not these complicated controls. If those controls are added, then you developers will earn another player, plain and simple.
Update:
The game still hasn’t changed one bit since I last wrote this review. I’m uninstalling this game and not playing it until the controls are changed.

Mighty fine!
Eternium holds my ADHD whirring mind. I'm usually very antsy, and holding my attention for more than 5 minutes is virtually impossible. Then I find Eternium.
There's no ads, no 'buy this', or 'buy that' pay to play junk. The quests move along quite quickly, there's room to roam, and plenty of hidden gold and gems to help you along the way. The graphics are very, very detailed and creative, and the point to move makes a great 'one hander', 'table friendly' game, using certain one and two finger taps and gestures to activate character's abilities. No more tired phone hands!!!
It's been almost two years of hitting the proverbial wall, (as far as games in the App Store are concerned) its great to find this gem, and no time sooner! Great work, devs!

Compliments and a suggestion
I love what you guys have done with this game i have been playing since 2016 and it has come a really long way.... I like the fact you have done away with all adds thats a nice thing you dont see in any other mobile game.... the graphics are amazing and better than before it runs smooth on my iphone 12.... What i would like to see for the friends portion is if not a multiplayer option can we figuere out a system to mail items gold crafting matts so forth i dont craft where as my friend does and he could use the materials just some thing to mull over that would add a nice aspect to the game... thank you guys for continuing to do an amazing job keep up the great work much love for the eternium universe

Very fun
I am a level 13 warrior and the game is really fun. I haven’t spent any money and I can still get really good stuff. The chests that cost gems are kind of weird, but I just skip them and use my gems on better things. I suggest removing the chests since it probably makes people waste their gems and get frustrated when they can’t buy anything else with their gems. Especially since the chest’s loot is useless after a while. I find smithing to be a better way to get items you want. Also, the event with the free thing was nice since it gave me some good pants. Overall, very fun RPG for mobile so far. Also, I really like the movement, it works really well, and drawing to use abilities is really fun.

Enjoyable RPG
Great game, almost like Diablo with a splash of EverQuest. There are plenty of activities and ways to level up your character without spending ridiculous time or microtransactions. You can buy gems and gold outright if you want, or “season passes” a few times a year to earn a bit of extra bling as you play, but nothing crucial that you can’t get through normal playing. There are lots of unique storyline levels with daily quests, and a series of “trials” of increasing difficulty good for farming gear and experience, and testing gear/spell configurations (all damage stats are available in the trials). The recently introduced crafting system works well and adds another activity with its own skillup path and various materials to collect.

Too much fun!
So, I recently re-downloaded this game, ‘cause I saw they’d changed some things/made improvements. I am so glad I did. If you were a fan of old-school PC RPG’s, you’ll have a blast with Eternium. Unlike most games in this genre, there is no system of waiting all day for enough energy to play a few levels. The controls are easy to learn, and it’s packed with gear and ability upgrades. If you choose to purchase gems in game, there are extras that come even with the smallest gem packs that are actually useful (not junk). Kick every crate, barrel or bag you come across, ‘cause fun stuff flies out of them like a pinata. Give this one a try, you’ll be hooked!

Great game ... but
Overall this is one of the most amazing games I have played on my mobile devices. It really does feel like you are playing a port of Diablo or Titan Quest optimized for the phone. Using symbols for special skills is genius. Gem system, rewards, etc are great and the experience was great through normal. Ads for 5 gems is a fair, voluntary exchange rate.
The reason I rate this 3 stars is due to the heroic and legendary difficulties. In Diablo (which it is hard not to compare this to), moving to nightmare would reap new benefits. Better items would drop and the hero would continue to progress. However, I am nearly done with legendary and not only do the quest rewards stop after normal, I have not had a single drop worth keeping. In 7 acts (I’m on the last act of legendary). All of my upgrades came from crafting. This means every cleared level just results in every item getting salvaged which is disappointing because it takes away the natural progression and just becomes a question of when I can save enough gold / gems to craft something better. So instead of loot hunting it becomes gold hunting which is not nearly enjoyable/ exciting. If this were fixed I would change to 5 stars.

Good for a quick game or even long
I wasn’t sure I’d like this game. While I enjoy building weapons, finding gems, things like Skyrim, there’s many times some kind of difference I dislike in a game and end up quitting. However, this game keeps you going. The quests happen one by one and you upgrade your weapons or replace them with ones you’ve found along previous quests. Add gems with additional strength to make the weapon or clothing more powerful. You also get partners, each with their own specialties. Choose your partner depending on your quest. Use gems to upgrade your levels. Watch short videos to get additional gems or find them in quests. Be sure to attack barrels and boxes in the stages for additional coins.
This game is good for long play and also for when you only have so much time to play.

Great Game!
Eternium is an excellent game. The controls are easy to learn. The graphics are great. The storyline is ok. Things like skills, weapons and armor are awesome. The best part is that it’s 100% free! Too many games are either pay to play or filled to the top with ads. I’ve maxed out my character and I haven’t spent a cent or watched a single ad. Everything can be earned through playing or crafted with materials earned through playing. Grinding might get repetitive, but the rewards are definitely worth it. Over all, this is an amazing game.
A couple of things I think could be improved: 1. The characters’ intelligence. If you try to attack an enemy behind a wall, instead of going around, you just start shooting the wall. The same goes for companions and monsters. 2. Trial levels. The first five or six are pretty cool, but after that they just get repetitive. 3. Crafting anything decent is expensive. I’ve been working towards crafting Elban’s Scepter and between crafting Mithril, essences and the base cost, it’s looking like it’ll cost me over a million gold.
Despite the improvements I think could be made, they don’t take away from the rest of the game at all, which is amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about downloading.

Awesome!!
I love Eternium because it’s an easy game to play and it’s really fun because you can customize your character and choose between a mage a warrior and Hunter. The graphics are amazing and it’s really good gameplay you can easily get coins and diamonds. You can go from 8 diamonds to 43 diamonds. I love the monsters because it gives you a good challenge and I would definitely rate this five stars because it’s a really fun game and I usually play at almost every time that I can. The best part about it though is The sensation of opening up chest and getting closer so you can customize your character that’s my all-time favorite part other than defeating monsters I’m already on act three and I’ve only been playing this for a couple of months. There’s also a bunch of new stuff like a dressing room and I thought that that was really fun. but if the Developers could make a getting skins from the dressing room easier that would be awesome but of course the challenge is the game. Before I tried this game I read the reviews and most of them are awesome but some of them are not but that’s OK because it’s still a great game and it’s all about perspective. Im going to go back to playing Eternium now.

Love it!
This game is simply amazing, it has the perfect blend of difficulty and the graphics are breathtaking. I’ve only been at it for a short time and I already love it! The xp gain is a steady pace that doesn’t feel too fast or too slow.
Now with that out of the way, I have one suggestion. I think it would be cool if you throw in a way to change the style of clothes and weapons. I not talking like the effects from the dressing room, I’m thinking of a way to change the color of gear. It sounds like something simple but for me it would enrich the entire experience if I could have my clothes be matching colors, without a set of the clothes that is.

Fun so far
Game is really fun so far, a couple hours in. Does indeed feel like a “real” classic action RPG a la Diablo or Dungeon Siege, despite being a free mobile game (which, when you think about it, is a perfect platform for such a game). The “gesture” system for spells and abilities works really well. Only criticism so far is that at first the game seems almost too easy. Combat is also really fast. Then when you first face more difficult opponents, it can take a bit to figure out how combat actually works against opponents you can’t one shot (which is most of the baddies for the first 6 or 7 levels. The micro transactions are also pretty unobtrusive. Like sometimes you find a chest that costs gems to open. But the “free” loot is already pretty genius. We’ll see what it’s like at higher levels. Anyway, great fun!

Love this game!
I get so frustrated with mobile RPG games because at some point there is going to be PvP. I HATE PvP! I read the description for this app and they were comparing themselves to Diablo. I love Diablo. I was cynical. I thought at some point there would be PvP. Join a guild/clan/tribe/coven, attack a holding nearby thinking it’s abandoned, start a war, spend real $ trying to save your holding, think you’ve done it, breathe a sigh of relief, 10 mins later you holding is completely destroyed and your resources are gone. What is fun about that? This game...nothing like it!
Love this game!!! Just me and my computer played battle buddies questing, crafting, killing, crafting some more. So fun and relaxing :)
I will put money into this game for upgrades and such with no regrets. Good job devs!

Game is great but....
So the game itself is amazing. I have had an absolute blast playing all three classes so far. I do like to spend money on special packages and jams but the last time I did six days ago, the package was never given to me. It even said that I had already claimed it but don't have the item. I understand that things like this happen so I submitted a ticket to get the item I never received. This was on a Sunday so I waited until Wednesday night to send another email. Two days later and nothing but an automated email again. I'm not sure if I'm the only one this is happened to or if this is a larger problem but just be very careful when buying large dollar packages. You may lose your money and never receive your item.

Best mobile game I’ve played.
If you liked Torchlight or Diablo on the PC, you’ll love Eternium. Controls are very easy and the levels are varied and fun. Crafting, buying/selling equipment, using jewel sockets are very familiar to experienced RPG players. The depth of the game is actually surprising given it is a FREE mobile game. And there is lots of loot and gold to be found. There are also a lot of additional daily giveaways and extra gems to be had if you’re willing to sit through a bunch of 20 second ads during gameplay. Gaining experience and leveling up your character is relatively easy; however, once you get past the first few experience levels it takes a long time to level up your abilities and you can only level one ability at a time (unless you pay to level quicker). But so far I have not found the need to pay real world money for bonuses, gold, gems, etc. to advance in the game.
The game doesn’t give you much in the way of tutorials, help or guidance considering how complex it can be, but there are online forums that can provide the information you need to play the game at whatever level you choose to play, from casual to hardcore.
So all in all I’ve found Eternium to be a very enjoyable and even addictive game.

Had to go down on rating
I had to go down on the rating because this crafting system is one of the most annoying I’ve ever used. I hate crafting in general because it is a convoluted system but I have crafted more of the wrong gear that can’t be worn by my character than is necessary and so I’m stuck and can’t progress solely because of that system. Have to completely delete and restart the game just to take random crafting pieces in to account.
The way these guys handle the game is how every game should be handled. It lets you easily restart if you want. Delete yourself and come back. Nearly no game does that because they want to mine your data and if you can delete your account then that means they won’t have your data in the pocket. The game its self is fantastic, fun to play and worth making a purchase here and there just for supporting a team of developers that know how a mobile game should be. My only complaint is losing profile sync for a week when updates release between devices. I haven’t been able to play on iOS for over a week now.

Amazing, gorgeous game!
I've been addicted to this game for weeks now, it's brilliant that they have two gameplay modes (story and trial) so it doesn't get boring, and I love the storyline, particularly about Elban so at this point if there's any other update in upcoming worlds that have anything to do with him, I am completely sold. The inclusion of the fanfic for Gorgana was great as well, I liked collecting the few "books" that were available in the game and wouldn't mind more at all, they make the game more immersive. As for people complaining about gems- it's actually easy and fast to acquire them especially in comparison to other games: if you're patient, they stack up, and if you're not (like me), watching an ad now and then gets you gems faster.
Also I hope they have something like a buddy system soon, where I can possibly play side by side in the game with a friend or send messages/interact instead of just friending them on the bulletin board. Also would love more unlocked levels like Gorgana's Misty Island level. It's kind of like going on side missions and entering a substory.

Went from love to just like
I don’t mind ads and grinding and slightly glitchy maps/baddies and the hub village update to the menu that I’m still figuring out how to deal with. The reason I’m putting 4/5 stars is actually because of the new equipment upgrade update. The old system was very simple: gather items, pick the best ones, and merge. Took a hot minute but I don’t mind, I can go grind in the meantime. The new system is complicated and I’m still struggling to master it, to the point where I’m actually less inclined to play the game at all cause it quickly becomes exhausting trying to figure it out. Crafting isn’t a bad system, but this one feels micromanaging and heavy for a mobile game. Maybe if there was a proper tutorial (I got the inbox notice but no tutorial if one does exist) and class-specific identifiers on item paths (a mage can’t wear the same gear as a gunslinger, I discovered after the game wouldn’t work but didn’t tell me WHY), it wouldn’t be so much hassle. Not sure if I’ll keep playing, which makes me sad cause I’ve sunk a lot of well-enjoyed time into this game, but if it just exhausts you, it’s not really worth it to me. We’ll see how it goes.

Realize that this game required finding
By far the best dungeon crawling RPG that one can find on mobile. The fact that you can use real money to advance in the game is not a bad thing, don’t forget that this app is free and the developers spent hours and hours of their time—This game required funding and such it must be returned one way or another. If you spend about $10-20 you can easily enjoy this game. One needs to unlock some things that require Gems that would take a long time to collect otherwise. That being said it could still be done through the main game but would be a little tedious. All in all it is a very fun and easy game, with plenty of ways to play. Don’t be cheap spend a few dollars as any normal game out there cost $40-$60. To clarify, you should spend the money to buy gems and use that to unlock the ability slots and companion Slots. If you spend money to get gems to open chests, well that is a silly waste of Gems (although if you have the money to spend go for it, the more people spend the more they will improve and develop the game)

Awesome game but...
I love that this game is FTP and isn’t super pushy about collecting premium currency via real, physical currency. It’s neat that you can earn it, which feels more rewarding. It’d be nice to see PvP in the future, but the game is still pretty fun to play. The reason I knocked off one star is because their seems to be a bug keeping me from creating an Eternium account. I’ve tried email confirmations & even the forget password icon to try to bring myself one step to closer to making my account, but no dice. The other reason I knocked off one star is because there isn’t a whole lot I can do to customize my character. It’s not really a big deal, since it doesn’t affect the fun of the gameplay, it’d just add some more personality and aesthetics to it.

Pay to win
People have compared this to titan quest for ios. Other than that it is an isometric RPG, the similarities end. While you can play the game without buying anything, to get the best items you must absolutely pay. Aside from the fact that you must use gems for upgrading almost everythimg and they almost never drop, you must also use them to open locked chests. You can watch adds for 5 gems, but that becomes repetitive and boring. Especially when you consider that at level 20 one chest was 165 gems. After level 20, even though i was voluntarialy watching ads, i never had enough gems to open a chest. I like the game play, even thogh it is a bit dumbed down for an arpg. If the developers would offer a buy once version that just used in game gold and no in app purchases, i’d pay as much as $30 for the game. Forgot to mention the timers for upgrading skills. I loathe timers. If there was a way to view only pay once and play games or filter out all freemium games in the App store i would do so. This pay to win crap takes the fun out of gsming. Even though it crashes, i’m going back to tian quest, at least it’s not annoying to progress. Or maybe ill just play Grim Dawn on PC...Crate really knows how to make an ARPG.

Great game!
One of the most fun games I’ve played on mobile. It’s very similar to Battleheart Legacy if you ever played that. It has a very unique style for casting spells and interacting with npcs. While there is a gem system in the game you by no means feel forced to have to spend real money to progress. The gems are there as a nice leg up but certainly not required. It has just enough of difficulty to it that it doesn’t get to boring. Also you’ve got your 3 classes and a decently long story mode and an additional trial mode to keep things interesting. Very well done overall, looking forward to playing this game even more! (Also, an added perk is you can play this game in an offline setting, WiFi or data is not required).

The game I’ve been looking for
The few complaints I’ve read about this game are really minor and never seem to truly affect gameplay. All gems can be earned by watching videos or just playing through the game, you don’t need to purchase anything to enjoy playing the game. There’s very minimal lag even with my settings turned up past the recommended settings, and I’ve so far seen no technical issues.
This game is the RPG style that I’ve been wanting on my phone for years. It’s entertaining, there's different modes and styles of gameplay, you can choose a different character and have a different companion, all wrapped up in an intriguing storyline and great scenery. I appreciate so much what these developers have done and I’ll keep playing this game until I can’t level up anymore.

Really nice game, hope it lasts awhile
You have a bug where when you go to more on the home screen it never shows the play button again and you are stuck and forced to reboot the app. Otherwise working well, love the graphics and the witty banter.
I deleted it today and lowered my rating to four stars — the biggest factor is the rapid degrading of items. They aren’t that easy to come by and there is no way to repair them. This really stopped me wanting to put any time into the game. Also there is no place to interact with other players which is a bummer. The game looks good but I don’t have the desire to constantly replace my equipment. I had a couple degrading, then suddenly it was nearly all of them. This is egregious in my view. Best of luck.

Game is good. Needs less pulsing icons.
I enjoy the game itself. I don’t feel like I have to spend $$ to enjoy playing, though clearly I could smash things more easily if I did. What I can’t stand are the constant pulsing icons. If I’m not constantly upgrading a skill, then my inventory icon is constantly pulsing. In inventory, the skill icon constantly pulses. If there’s a special offer, THAT icon constantly pulses, AND appears on every bloody screen in the game unless I’m in active battle. Which means if I’m not actively killing something, it’s pulsing even on the ‘dungeon’ screen. There’s a special offer to win extras by trying another game by the same publisher... and THAT icon pulses constantly unless or until I either complete all the possible ‘quests’ or the offer expires. The constant pulsing is aggravating, I don’t like the other game so I’m not going to complete all the quests regarding it, and it’s nice that there’s a special offer, but can you NOT shove it in my face so constantly? I can’t continue playing this with all these pulsing icons that there’s no way to turn them off.

Great Hack and Slash
For what this game is (hack and slash rpg) it’s about as good as it gets for mobile gamers. If there’s ever been a game that is NOT pay to win, it’s Eternium. Nothing in the game can be purchased unless it can also be gained through normal grinding, paying for anything only decreases the time you have to invest to grow your character. The only downside to this game that I’ve found after 6-7 months of daily playing is that PC gamers (this game is also on windows store) have a large competitive edge over mobile gamers due to a number of quality of life changes when playing on PC compared to mobile. However this is a purely PvE game, with zero PvP, so you won’t get creamed by these players. They’ll simply have their name at the top of a meaningless leaderboard while you happily play the way you want. Great game to pass the time!

Great F.T.P. (FREE to Play)
This is one of those rare games, where you get hooked right off the bat! What makes it a great game is it is a F.T.P. Game. Yes they do post adds for other games for free gems, and there is a page if you want to spend your real money. What game doesn’t do that now a days, hello! Yea, the pop up adds take away some time from game, but they give u the option to watch or not. Also sometimes instead of watching the add, the ?Box gives u other things like a gem or gold. Yes, you can use real money to make things easier or speed up crafting, but the game is totally playable without spending!!! Just takes more time. Isn’t that why u want a game? To pass time!?!? You also can go back and play pass levels and acquire more gold and find more gems, which in turn will help u have the resources to craft items and or save up gems for giving you more options (like saving 75 gems to have another member to your group). So many options and things u can do in game, and it is not over whelming like other some other games that just through u in. This is a well worth downloading and playing kind of game. Great game despite the cash grab
So, the game is not p2w, but you can certainly accelerate your time to the finish line by dumping in money. Also, the mechanisms of notification that let you know about “deals” and such are to be expected. That being said, I still gave this game 5 stars because the polish and content is actually great. It’s like they took the best mechanics of diablo loot systems and crafting and did their own implementation and spin. In sum, great game, just prepare to have to ignore the cash grab notifications if you don’t want to spend any money, and you’ll still be able to have fun and grind away to your hearts content for loot and gems to level up your character. Oh, I am also very happy they have some sort of skill system to pick from. It’s not exactly D3 or Titan Quest skill trees, but it scratches the itch!

Deleted my character
So I played this game a long time ago on a different device. I created an account apparently and had 2 low level characters. I started playing on my new phone and decided to try linking my characters which didn’t seem possible. I tried creating an account but it wouldn’t let me use my email anymore. So I logged into my old account and a prompt told my my current character would still be on my device. Well nope my current character was gone and I had the 2 old ones I didn’t want to play. So I tried to delete that account to see if I could play the character “on my device” and use my email again for a new account. It supposedly deleted my account (at the cost of 30 gems?) but left the old characters on my phone and my new character was still gone. So I decided to just start over and delete the 2 old characters but you have to have 50 gems each to delete characters! I’m done now.

Addicting
I honestly believe it was made by enthusiasts. Progression takes a while but isn’t overly exhausting. It has a gradual difficulty system unlike most games that go from very easy to near impossible with no middle ground. Although you can buy gems to speed things up, its entirely unnecessary and you can comfortably play without doing so. There are tons of things to complete in the game.
The only thing i would like to see done is to make the camera angle more user friendly when against large objects. I’ve run across the issue of the character not wanting to move to some open sections because something was blocking the view of the floor which keeps you from clicking to run there.

VERY good. Read past the complaints.
First, the compaints. Occasional lag. Thats the only one from me. I can live with it. Then a lot of other peoples, “this is a pay to win”. Yea there are gems, yea you can buy them, but mostly its just watching videos. Like 15 video a level, all giving 5 gems. 5x15=75. 75 gems a level plus the 1 you earn playing the level for the first time. You can easily get a ton of gems without paying a cent. You can even turn off the feature thats asks if you want to watch an ad for gems. Its an easy fix, but again, not my complaint.
After those though, the game is the best game I have ever played on my phone. Literally the fastest, the easiest, the funnest, just overall the best game I have downloaded. I am a little confused on any of the friends stuff, mostly because I dont need friends to have fun in this game. The followers are cool, the characters are cool and fairly smooth, the abilities are awesome, the gear is unique. This game definitely has earned a 5 star review with me.

Fun game!
I have spent hours and hours playing this game! I had been looking for a game I could play on my iPhone, that kept my attention, for more than a couple of days. I enjoy that fact that I don’t have to pay to play, even though I have been tempted a couple of times (to get gems to upgrade my character faster). The game is interesting, because, in addition to blasting a huge variety of crazy creatures, you have to strategize how you are will spend your gems, deciding what is more important to you right now...upgraded equipment or maybe a new sidekick (the more sidekicks you have the easier you will progress through the story)?

Questions for devs- I am getting a weird message every time I open the app, saying there is a billing error and the item couldn’t be found in the Apple App store (since I updated). Also, since the update I notice that collected gemstones no longer have multiple attributes. I felt like that was another level of strategizing... being able to add to armor and power and toughness, in one gem, was awesome! Why was that feature taken away?

If Diablo II and Dungeon Siege had a baby...
Graphics are better than D2 and the interface works really well. Bored with story mode? No prob, they got Gauntlet & The Trials modes. Well thought out, works really well on iOS. Quality game, Impressive!
Would give 5 stars if didn't have such long timers for ability upgrades & sparse gem drops.

Update: gem drops & videos have become more frequent. Can get 100 gems from daily quests if unlock all 5 character slots. Usually get another 100 gems per day from videos & random gem drops. Also gems per week from reward calendar. Still need shorter ability timers or lower gem requirements for unlock ability upgrade slot.
Please offer more in-app living items like the 2 storm deals.
Best game I've played on App Store. Been looking for a Diablo II style game for years. This game scratches that itch yet has enough of its own character. Definitely would buy any new content. LOVE this game!

Cheap. Easy. Fun.
The game has in-app purchases, but the are not needed and if you do want to make a purchase most (not all, but most) are relatively inexpensive. Honestly, the developers on this are deserving of a little love now and then - they did a good job.
Still, I repeat, in-app purchases are not needed to enjoy the game.
There are ads, but you don’t have to watch them. The game politely asks if you want to do so. If you don’t want to break the flow you can even wait until the end of a level and go back to watch for the rewards - or not - your choice.
The game play is straight-forward and fun. Not a lot of deep role play, just hack-n-slash, loot-n-level fun. Less Baldur’s Gate, more Diablo. (Not that role play is a bad thing, but this is more of a fun fantasy romp than a super-immersive character driven drama.)
I like the interface. Drawing the sigils is fun and gratifying. Graphics and music are well done. All in all a good game.
Oh, and you don’t have to be connected to WiFi all the time to play. It saves to your device while offline and then uploads your progress when you reconnect.
Perfect game for a working parent who just needs to unwind every now and then, or for a long car ride where the kids need to zone out post family sing-along (don’t laugh, we sound AMAZING).

Repetitive but fun
Before you nitpick about the over saturation of ads for gems in the main game- the actual content of the game especially compared to others like it, is exceptionally done. The story is decent while not incredible, and the graphics and skills are fun enough to keep some variation in how you play. You should be able to unlock at least 1 skill slot with gems acquired in game and most things although expensive are still possible given enough time and dedication. Like I said before the game can be frustrating at times with the “watch this ad to get 5 gems” boxes that appear after defeating enemies but it’s still somewhat welcome if you’re trying to grind for better equipment and slots for skills. The game could improve with more colorful and powerful skills- especially considering to get that level takes immense work. I like the game and would highly recommend it-honestly-the game is much better than many others that try to imitate the same style of rpg dungeon gameplay and is also much less pay to win in my opinion; although the presence of premium equipment and items that cost money is very intrusive at times. But that by itself doesn’t deserve to reduce the game to 3 stars when most games can’t even hold your interest long enough to play the game.

Elder Scrolls of Apps! Endless!
I cannot believe how rich, how abundant this game is!
Of course, I’ve just now read that it was developed by old school RPG fans, so maybe that’s the ticket.
This game is bigger than most Xbox & Playstation games we’ve bought in the last 5 years. We are a hard working, but old school gamer family, so we don’t mess around here. From the days of Wolfenstein script on screen through every console, we’ve seen it all.
Aside from the handful of loaded games like Elder Scrolls, Saboteur, Far Cry, etc... you just don’t see a lot of games this fat with side quests and trials these days, never mind in an App! I didn’t even know an App existed with Hard Mode play!
I can’t rave enough about this depth of this game. The ability to upgrade and fine tune everything from my boots to my skills, or get trusty sidekicks and level them up too are just some of the lovely layers. I haven’t even touched the online friend play feature!
Its phenomenal!
I’m currently working my way up the trials to get stronger to return to try once again to defeat one wretched creature.

Was not made by greed. Sike!
I was enjoying the game for the first 15 minutes. An option to have an immersion mode that cleans up the UI to have an uncluttered action rpg experience that was pretty decent for mobile. Then it hit me, the innevitable SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME icon. “Save 50% on gems now” literally breaks the immersion feature to remind you that this is a greedy mobile game. It’s an icon with a timer that hides SOMEWHERE on the screen as you play. Killing zombies, It’s at the bottom left. Looking at the Over world map, It’s at the top right. On top of that, it BLINKS. You just can’t miss it. Can’t ignore it.
I downloaded this game cause the first line of the description for the game was “not made by greed” so I figured hey, they might have figured out a decent MTX system that isn’t so invasive to my experience to the game. NOPE. I don’t mind that there are options for supporting a free game. But I AM NOT staring at your “give me money now” icon as I play your game. Sorry.

No joke
This game is no joke it’s not a micro transaction nightmare money sink it’s actually a lot of fun, and the gems you can buy for the Uber loot are actually pretty easy to come by just by playing the game!! I’ve NEVER seen a game that does this, literally if you wana have that instant gratification you can spend real world money, but if you just put an hour or so of game time in, you can earn the gems without RL money!!! I will be can this game developer in my sites for new games, the play mechanics are also top notch the general wait times for crafting and upgrading skills isn’t hours it’s 3 mins or so obviously the higher lvl the longer it takes, but u can use gems to speed it up if u want......(which you can earn easily in game)😍

Inflated star ratings!
i’ve been playing for about a week, my mage is about level 37. I have had to email support at least five times regarding lost items, the game crashing, massive flickering in the textures (Which is complete laziness, I’ve seen better landscapes that my toddler has rendered that don’t flicker. It’s just a matter of one object overlapping the other instead of letting them touch against one another).
I have noticed that not far into the game, there is an offer for free in game currency if you leave a five star rating. Now I understand that the five star ratings for this game are completely inflated.
I have other games like clash of clans and Contest of champions that don’t have nearly this level of problem. In fact, I don’t think either one of those games has ever crashed while playing it.
Out of all of the emails that I have sent for support, I have gotten one reply which was simply “delete the game and reinstall it,“ which I did, but that did not solve the problem.
So yes this game has kind of a neat Baulder’s gate feel, and is more or less fun – when it works. So if you enjoy the frustration of clearing level and then having a crash just before you face the boss, then having to clear the level all over again: this game is for you.
REPEAT: this game crashes A LOT and the star ratings are completely inflated because they are bought.
