Description
WikEM is an online wiki and database of emergency medicine knowledge to assist physicians with their daily practice. The content is continuously updated from WikEM.org allowing for rapid reference of key information. The content is available offline with this mobile application. WikEM is intended for clinicians only and not directly for patients.
In app subscription purchases:
*The in-app purchase unlocks personalized lists and favorites for 1 year
• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

Needs support for dark mode
Use the app pretty regularly but my iPhone is set to dark mode and the app doesn’t adjust to it.

This app was great and working well before your update on Aug 15, 2019 when I update it to my iPhone 5 without warning from your site that this update is not compatible with iPhone5, after that update this app never open, so if you make your forthcoming update be compatible with iPhone beside other newest generations of Apple.

Love the concept but App needs some love
Agree with all the love stated by others, but the app needs some work! Every time it gets an update, you have to keep your phone manually open while it downloads or else the update starts over. Could use some tweaking to make the UI more friendly!

App won’t load database
I love this website. And I’ve been trying to get this app to work for a while. It always stalls on loading the initial database. I’m finally giving up and uninstalling it for the last time.

Update! Works on my iPhone XS Max
I love this app and use it all the time on shift, but ever since upgrading my phone the app is unusable. It gets stuck on “loading initial database.” Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, resetting the phone, making a new account, but nothing works. I read the prior responses from the developer on here and have been on WiFi and used the blue update button, but it still gets stuck in the same spot. I emailed and haven’t heard back yet (it’s only been a few days though). Hopefully someone responds and we can get it working again. I appreciate all the work that’s gone into this amazing resource!
UPDATE: I finally got it to work. I changed my screen lockout time to 5 min and that allowed the update to complete. Apparently the update process stops if your screen locks out or if you switch to another app (update process does not continue in the background.)

Essential resource
As an EM intern this app easily become my go to resource on shift. My only complaint is as a military provider now working in environments without internet or cellular service the login page of this app precludes me from using it.

Great website, horrible app
I love the website. It’s very helpful, a resource I used often during training, and something I turn to on shift sometimes for a refresher or reassurance. However the app is unusable. No matter what I do it cannot download the database. It will say “downloading content” for days without change. Even in previous versions when it could download the database the search bar would end up with no results. Now the search bar doesn’t do anything and the clinical pages are empty. To be honest for the last two to three years the quality in this app has become extremely poor but now I would tell trainees and colleagues to avoid this app.

I have an iPhone 8 and since I’ve downloaded the app it is stuck on “Loading Initial Database”. I’ve tried updating my software and resetting the phone to no avail :/

Can't download database on mobile
I use this all the time on desktop, but can't get it to work on mobile. Says loading initial database then just sits there stuck. Can't access any of the content. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even making a new account. Nothing works.

It has been about three months since this application actually worked, and I originally paid for the upgraded subscription. There has been no fix for the permanently non-uploading content that renders the app useless. It has great content, but if it doesn’t function, it is useless.

Pretty good study tool
Great once I figured out how to download the database! I don’t use this in clinical practice but it’s a good study tool to refresh on topics I’m interested in. Some in the data seems out of date but it’s still a good resource for your knowledge base.

Cannot view anything
I have used your app previously on an android device. I downloaded it on my iPhone X and it has been 3 days now since I tried uploading the initial contents and it will not do so. I have tried WiFi as well as my normal data plan and it still will not get passed “loading initial database”. I know I can use the website but it would be much more convenient to use the app. My iOS is 12.1

Previous review: I can’t get any content downloaded on the WIKEM APP on the new iPhone Xs running 12.0.1. It gets stuck in the “loading initial database.” Progress bar hasn’t moved for 24 hours. Left phone plugged in, on WiFi and with app open. Tried deleting and reinstalling app, logging in and out, restarting phone, no luck.

Can't sign in
Great app but suddenly cannot log in through the app on my 6s. Keeps giving incorrect password. Message popped up sending me a new temporary password. Tried that on the app and did not work. Signed in on a browser on my 6s and was able to change password and log in with the browser but not with the app. Still says incorrect password. Deleted and reinstalled app but still incorrect password. Relying on browser for now.

Cannot use on iPhone 6s
I bought this app and it will not download the content. Tried deleting it and downloading it again..... plugging it into a power source.....tried using different WIFIs and then cellular data. Turned my phone on and off.... did a “hard reset”. I have 30 GB left on my phone’s storage. Still, it just says “downloading content” for hours. What can I do to fix this?
