This app needs an overhaul
Nothing ever works and I can never actually utilize the app and it gives wrong information. Also the feature to add my card to my apple wallet doesn't seem to work anymore which is really inconvenient, the whole point of apps and the apple wallet. The latest update said they fixed the wallet feature and still doesn't work.

Apple wallet has never worked and still doesn't work!
Attempting to put your ID into your Apple wallet has never worked and even though the update notes claim that it works now it's still doesn't work!!! Can someone fix this?

Disappointing
Installed the app. Got a 'Your account is not permitted access' message. Mobile and desktop websites worked great and no problems whatsoever with the portal. Deleted the app, restarted the phone, and reinstalled the app. Same message. Time to get a new developer, BCBS.

Basic functionality does not work!
Find Care In Network- does not launch. This is the most quintessential function for a health care network application.

Less than disappointing
There are really great apps out there. There are some apps which could do better. There are some apps which are disappointing but still serve some purpose to be worth the time. Then there is this app. This particular app is one of those which is such a profound waste of time literally very little could be said as to its usefulness. In one's search for usefulness and information in this application one should be aware this app will likely result in more dead ends and error messages than benefit from time invested in trying to use it. I truly have to wonder whether the developers of this app and the people who are responsible for their supervision have actually used this app and would not do a better service to their customers by simply pulling it.

Worthless takes up phone space in past ok
New update worthless. The pic even shows for the app dashboard w information about deductibles etc. That has never worked nor updated since added. I wrote them feedback about this MONTHS ago. Noone responded. It looks as though many feel the same way. Sad. This used to be a decent app!

Presents my account info as good as the website, but...
There was a time a few updates ago when it was possible to export a member ID card to Apple Wallet. It was a very convenient feature. Days of that convenience are long gone, however, the steps to add a card to Apple Wallet are still there. It just doesn't work anymore. That's a big issue for me.

Still cannot add card to Apple Wallet after the latest update. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. Hated to leave one star but there was no way to contact the developer. All other features are nice. Would like the addition to Apple Wallet to work and a better way to contact support.

This app used to work. I can't see claims. I can't see spending (deductible). It gives me an error message. Also, looking for a provider sends you to an outside browser. Soooo why do I even have it?! I keep trying each week, but get the same message "blah blah problem on our end... try again later."

New Version Needs Improvements!
New version will not allow you to search in-network options or use cost-estimator located on the dashboard.
No app problems reporting capabilities either.
This is one of 5 main carriers, and in the top 2 (UHC being the other), yet the app is so non-functional when you need it most!
I got frustrated and resorted to waiting until I could get to a computer to look up what I needed- defeats the apps purpose entirely.
At least UHC, Aetna, Cigna and even Humana have a better grasp of building stronger apps to use.
So frustrating to be a BCBS fan and can't use an app!

Looks like everything I'd need
The app seems to work fine and have a lot of useful info that I'd need access to on a regular basis. Spending, claims history, finding a provider, coverage, ID card, etc. No crashing or "unavailable" info as others have indicated.

I used to love this app but now it does not even let me see the claim details which was the part I used it for. Really annoying because it just keeps saying "something went wrong, try again later". I like to see how much I'm looking at paying before the bill comes in the mail. In its current state, this app is completely useless.

Poor app knowledge
Our county changed insurance to BCBSTX in January and the app works for all of my colleagues-workers but I keep getting a message after logging in that I will receive an email to verify my account. I can get in the website but not the app. BCBSTX doesn't have a clue what's going on they just opened a ticket and said they are working on it with no date on rectifying the problem. More Obama nonsense? Ummm!

Works for the most part
I don't usually post often on these app reviews. But, I will say the BCBS app works for the most part. The Touch ID option works just fine, I am able to see my out of pocket cost and deductibles -- along with my co-pay cost in or out of network. The only suggestion I would highly recommend is to have the ID Card go into my Apple Wallet. So far, there is a button that says to add to your wallet. However, pressing it doesn't do anything. It just has a loading circle and eventually times out back to ID Card. I have tried to do this on both WiFi and LTE (don't think it makes a difference). But please fix this feature I'm sure there are several other users aside from myself who would love to have the option to add the ID Card into the Wallet for easy access.

Doesn't work, don't waste your time with this
Downloaded app a week ago and it sent me an email to confirm my email address. After doing so, I've been waiting to use either the app or the online version without success. I don't know if it's still waiting for the 'confirmation' which was done a week ago. I updated today (1/8/17) and it's still not working.

Won't log in
It keeps telling me to go to my email and verify my identity before I can log in. I never receive an email to do as instructed. I have been trying to log in randomly for weeks. This is the worst app I have ever used. If I could give it no stars I would! I am not happy with the change at all.

Can't sort claims
This app used to be useful, but now I can't sort or search the claims list. Rather than listing all claims by date, it displays claims by person which makes it hard to find claims for dependents.

Horrible customer service and broken app
I downloaded the app and it doesn't work. a message is displayed that "we have a problem and we're working on it". Then, i called into the internet help desk and i was told that there is nothing that they can do about it since the app is not considered important and as long as you can use the website they consider "there's no problem".
What kind of mickey-mouse outfit publishes an app, that they know is broken and leaves it out there? Pure junk

Gave it a try, not bad
After reading terrible reviews I still tried it. I didn't register yet, just searched for doctors and urgent care. They must've fixed bugs since their last review. I'll see how it is after I get my card and register (I just enrolled). So far no complaints. I just downloaded it today though. I'll review again after a few months.

What's the Point?
No real functionality, can't even pay through it (takes you to another website), no alerts, accounts don't sink with other bill paying apps, archaic account setup, forces you to create and have multiple accounts. The list goes on. Their app is just as crap as the service...

Offers Very Little Help
This app isn't really helpful. I'd like to be able to view my deductible information and see where I am in meeting that deductible but no information is available. Also, it does not supply any coverage information. Basically all this app does is show if a claim's been submitted & paid.

Will not accept ID
Entered all the required data up until the user id. I entered what was on my card and the app said it was not a valid id. Verified it was correctly entered but could not go any further! This makes it a useless app and deleted it from the phone. Good luck!

Could be better
The login should give an option to be Touch ID enabled.
The "find care" option is very slow, even when connected to wifi.
The "find care" option should be gps enabled to find providers near your current location.
The "find care" option really needs improvements for adding filters, etc. It currently is a website but should be native iOS screens. Once you find a provider, you should be able to click on the phone number and call or click on the address and navigate.
The ID card in Apple wallet is a very nice option.

One way
Any good business relationship is a two way street consisting of what each party brings to the table. This app primarily focuses on what the client needs to bring; i.e. What is owed, what might be owed, what will be owed. It's missing what the client needs from BCBSTX.
Also- some of what is missing in the app can be found online, and there are links in the app to connect you to the website, except that they don't work. And even if they did work, what's the point of an app if it just links you to a website?

Just bookmark it in safari better than this app
At least with safari you can use auto fill. This is not really an app but a glorified bookmark icon that takes you to the web. Definitely not what I expected from BCBSTX

In the app it says you can download your bluecross blueshield card into your passbook but after countless tries it does not work. Also needs to be configured for the iPhone 6 plus larger screen.

All the "app" does is reroute to a web browser page. If I wanted to use your website through the browser, I would just visit the web version. This app would be best if everything remained in one location through the app itself. Hence the reason for having an app in the first place.

If it's only purpose was to provide blank screens and/or crash. But since I expect to be able to find a provider when I tap "Find a Provider" it gets one star. But it hasn't even done anything to earn even one.

I was unable to yield any results from the Find a Doctor option or the Find a Facility option and when I tried searching for an Urgent Care location the app would crash.
In my opinion a very poor attempt at convenience. You'd be better off simply logging into the main desktop website from your iPhone or iPad versus using this app.

First if the app provided a Feedback function i wouldn't go public with the comments here. Secondly i would like to be able to send selected provider list to out of town dependents. Can't. Failing this i would like a feature to "tell a friend" about the app. No can do. Why do deep-pocket orgs design such limited feature apps? Don't know.
